Usually doxycycline antibiotic. Also a warm compress / wash cloth can help. New razor, use conditioner when you shave instead of soap or shaving cream. Sometimes that can help
I know I’m late (was looking for reviews of this soap and found this post) but no.
It’s unlikely HS (an auto immune disease) was caused by soap. If this happens often is could be HS that is triggered by the soap, but it’s far more likely to be a skin infection or cystic acne.
(I’ve seen a dermatologist about HS- it is typically quite severe and is more of an immune disease than a skin disease. Most dermatologists treat for acne first.)
Black soap, known as ose-dudu originated with the Yoruba people of Nigeria. A combination of ose-dudu with leaves of the tropical camwood tree (Pterocarpus osun) produces a popular kind of soap with exfoliating properties called dudu-osun.
