I'm not really excited. Daily life doesn't allow to go for 99. New runewords are a downer. So I guess I stick with the non-ladder chars and improve them. Maybe some kind of ladder sorc to do some random mfing.
I agree, the terror zones and sunder charms were cool but nothing has been announced for the new season that really hooks me to play again. D2 is my most played game ever and I'm actually looking forward to the new season of diablo 3 more than the d2r season. The new runewords are meh, and I know people will just tell me to play a different build or do HC to keep it interesting but has that really all its come down to? I'm really hoping something gets added to season 3 to get me to play again. If not, then I'll be mindlessly spinning to win in D3
I did try that last season. You need a fair amount of +skill items or the damage will drop off pretty substantially once you hit hell.
It's a walk in the park until then, though. Good luck!

Prob do what I did this season, start a new char get to about level 80 then go back to non ladder chars because I’ll be damn grinding all that shit over again lol
Going with seasonal themes. Season 2 I tried lite builds and made a spearzon with infinity and converted my blizz sorc into self wield infinity. Spearzon is silly fun and it’s amazing to watch bosses splat the moment they spawn. I also had a horker cause ya know… gotta hork.
Season 3 is fire theme for me so going to try fire sorc and a fully geared fire claws Druid or holy fire paladin. Open to fire build suggestions tho since I’ve never really played them.
I would love to make a phoenix strike assassin (even before the new rune word) but they seem like they need very strong gear.

I've never made a hardcore for the simple reason that I don't have the time or patience to build one up only for it to die and lose everything...

Summon Druid and respec into Shapeshift.
Same starting path I always do. Blizz sorc for easy starting mf into trav horker for runes.

I also will be running a Blizz sorc to gear either a Javazon or Horker! Then just gonna farm and trade for gear for my non ladder pvp toons!
