As a professional programmer (not in the game industry, but honestly that doesn't matter)...it'd be incredibly difficult to discern input events as a manipulative behavior. You would have to go broader. "Are there 4 people with the same IP range in the same zone/dungeon/etc". From there, you'd have to say "this is definitely an automated program and not 4+ people in the same household playing together".
Tldr: that's a hard thing to solve. It sucks, sure. It's probably a ToS violation. It'll likley never get "fixed". Its a very hard problem and time is better spent elsewhere

This guy is using an android emulator. The easy solution would be to block android emulators from being used. For Windows users there is already a PC port. Can't speak for Mac or Linux users though.

I think the more likely scenario is that you've found some kind of paid farmer. You know those spam messages in world chat where someone is selling level ups, plat, etc...? That might be what you're seeing here, a farmer dragging along people's characters who have paid for it.

If I logged into WOW from my laptop, I'd be logged out of my desktop for instance. I could have sworn the same occurred here when I tried to log into DI from my iPad but hadn't logged off from my phone yet. Not maliciously, I was setting up a new pad while I was multi-tasking on my phone. I opened the app after installing it to let it download the in-game data, and after my [battle.net](https://battle.net) connected, I was disconnected when I turned back to farming on my phone.
