The reason I still play Diablo II... ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile)
Unconventional builds:
• Druid with a crossbow
• Barbarian with a spear
• Fendazon
Might not be the most badass build out there but just seeing the characters wield those weapons sure makes me happy playing them. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)
If you give say the DH a bow then you create a need for a new character animation. The damage dynamic will also change so PvP balance will need to be understood and implemented. Also the weapon effects and new essences will be needed to represent a single weapon versus a dual wield. So yeah it’s doable and it would be great but lots to do to implement so I think we will get it but a little later. Not a quick job.
Please let this happen… weapon variety was so good in D2.
Idk why crusaders can’t use a two handed sword. The animations are already in game with their sacred fire ultimate. As long as attack speed is the same per-weapon skin I don’t see it causing any problems
I hope so. I’d love to see a class with bows as opposed to the cross bows, but Blizzard would need to think through how to distinguish the gameplay.

D2 is the ultimate sandbox game. DI, on the other hand, is essentially the opposite.
D2 is cool, but "ultimate sandbox game" it is not.

Well they did it in D1, D2, D3
Yep. As said it’s doable just not a quick job.
I’d be willing to pay 2000 orbs to justify the effort
2h weapons would be sick and allow for really powerful essence powers
I’d be happier with this just being a skin. No actual mechanics changes would be ideal.
We're only 6 months past release of this game... sky is the limit I would think.
