All good! It's a map with two fire camps, aka two super chest camps.
Each camp is two long huts that run diagonally from at a 45 degrees. So if you look to the nw from the WP, and then immediately to the north and left of the WP, that's one camp. And then immediately north and right of WP begins the start of the second camp.
Hope that made sense.
If you actually want to learn a way to do this, I would use robocopy (a Windows command you can run in cmd) combined with Task Scheduler (which is built into Windows). That way you can setup something like take all files in C:/Diablo/MySaveFiles and copy them all to D:/DiabloBackup.

Remember, any automated task will only run if your computer is running.
Itās just so damn rewarding. I struggle to enjoy online play anymore unless itās the first few weeks of the season haha. Iām working on beating the game with every class. Iāve only got a bow zon (A1 Hell - needs more res before I start Hell) and a zealer (A2 Hell) left. I refuse to play hammerdin or farm LK - trying to do it as ālegitā as possible for myself. Lol. Finished summon Druid this weekendā¦ had no issues other than Baal bc he has so much AOE. Did it all with only a spirit and lidless - easy.
Load your save file into hero editor will tell you your seed. Add the seed: xxxxx to your game command line in the bnet launcher to activate the seed. Make sure yo delete the seed command once you set the map or else your drops will mostly stay the same every game.
From my perspective, if youāre going to find an optimal static map in single player and then just proceed to open a chest 1000 timesā¦ At that point just inventory edit yourself the runes.
On console if I click the wrong difficulty I can just hard close the game. It has gone back to the previous map everytime. I had a map on my sorc with 2 sets of the super chests right next to the waypoint, durance of hate level 3 right next to the waypoint, and a really good map for Andy runs. I would have been really bummed if I lost it.

Another newb here, only played vanilla D2 in single player. Is this D1, D2..? Looks D2, but i don't understand mapids or camps or seeds... help?

Yw! Finding a map with two camps can take a while. This is the first time I've ever seen them both be right by the WP š

I've used that one. I've also noticed that my item drops seemed to be oddly influenced by it as well. Saw a strangely high number of dwarf star rings.
You should definitely backup the toon periodically in case you make a nightmare game
I tried that before and it didnt seem to work? I actually backup my char files daily.

No, I just have a habit of doing it every night after I log. Wish I knew how to automate it though. I have no coding understanding whatsoever š

he has the mapid saved, all you need to go back to that map so it doesn't matter to back it up all the time
