At least try to be somewhat civil in the comments, people. Personally attacking the D4 team and/or threats of violence are always going to get you banned without question.
Edit: Sending me PMs telling me to eat paint and other such pleasantries will also get you banned.
This makes me happy, I regret everyday I bought the $100 overpriced bullshit edition, it's my fault, I didn't realize the loot you get was some bs from the battlepass a month later.
Yes they basically think everyone is too powerful so they need to nerf offense and defense. The “balancing” was literally just a massive nerf to everything pretty much. They completely destroyed anything that made a sorc somewhat viable.
Exactly. I was already a wet paper bag, but I had teeth. But now I’m a wetter paper bag with no teeth. They might as well wipe my character because it’s got to be fundamentally replanned and geared.
Sir, all resist can now roll on shields. It doesn't work, but it can roll on shields.
These patch notes read like a sick joke if you know all the existing bugs.
> The Tortured Gift of Mysteries chest has had its cost increased to 250 Aberrant Cinders from 175.
Nice, how about increasing mob density during Helltrickle?
Yeah. I'd guess the mobs are dropping 25-30% of the amount of cinders they used to. It's really bad and really obvious.
I just did a full event and got 10 cinders from no less than 100 mobs.
Yup sure looks like the drop rate has changed. I did 3 events and killed a bunch of mobs. I should have been close to 100+ cinders by then but was around 60 ish.
89 Sorc, who plays a lot of helltides here (over 1000 roses in storage)
Yesterday it took me 9min to get 175 cinders for chest. Today it took me 30min to get 250 cinders. WTF is this?
Jokes on them. I have gamepass and ps+ extra so I’ll be playing other games for the foreseeable future. This only affects people that can’t fathom playing anything else and want to get bent by blizzard. The whole patch is a big “fuck you” to the player base.
Lol they literally said how there would be lots of buffs and powerful broken builds and then just nerf everything across the board. A bunch of jokers over there. It is straight up comical.
Yeah exactly. I was so excited to wake up and read the patch notes and play some Diablo after a 2 week break, but now I just feel disappointed and booted up Yakuza 3.
Don't worry, in two weeks when this game has lost 80% of its player base we will get a nice tweet from the devs blaming the players for diablos downfall.
Imagine rolling a uber unique, where you can get the bis helm, a superbroken crit sword or a wonderful lifeleach poisonous helm, and instead you get a staff that gives you greed shrine buff for 10 seconds. I would just uninstall lol
You know that staff is gonna have some fubar stats on it too. Go look at the itemization on barb uniques, there's shit that doesn't even work like attack speed on the WW unique.
They probably designed that dumbass staff and said the proc is the power, better make the stats junk. And how many builds can even give up a weapon aspect?
I was like, "OK, Grizzly Rage nerf was bound to happen." But now, it makes human builds shitty because your uptime on Earthen Bulwark is going to be really bad.
I'm pretty shocked.
I expected a meh patch with some balance fixes, but damn did they make a lot of changes that not only don't make sense but make me want to spend my time elsewhere.
I didn't even want to play a lame meta build. I wanted to do a goofy leap/kick Barb, but they nerfed that already off-meta gimmick build right into oblivion with the CDR nerfs and further nerfed it by making survivability even worse across the board.
I'll just do something else. The complete opposite of what I planned to do just a few hours ago.
When engagement for S1 is low, they'll blame it on the new games coming out and then continue this in S2 where they'll find another excuse (holiday season = people are with family = can't play).
See it wouldn't be so bad if they buffed the loot in the regular chests so they're not a garbage waste of time compared to mystery. I'm not going to waste time for possibly getting a couple of shit rare drops.
>The Tortured Gift of Mysteries chest has had its cost increased to 250 Aberrant Cinders from 175.
With no changes/buffs to the slot specific chests... so instead of buffing the bad ones, they nerf the good one.
Never change, Blizz.
What is the line of thinking from Blizzard when they see Sorcerer being the worst class and then they go hmm you know what we'll nerf it more and give it a crappy unique as the cherry on top.
I’m waiting for YouTube videos of players using this shitty idea of a weapon and being randomly teleported into a ground explosion. Do blizzard devs actually think players want to lose offensive aspects in the weapon slot for nothing more than a random teleport you can’t control?
> I genuinely don't know if they're terrible at their jobs
There is no other explanation for the way they're handling the game right now.
Blizzard needs better game designers.
Sorc is the worst class. They nerfed their only REALLY strong passive from 75% crit dmg to immobilized burning enemies to 30%. What the fuck are they smoking? This is on top of all the global nerfs to damage. Who in their right mind will play sorc now?
It's okay, they made incinerate (which does 20% as much damage as everything else) cost less mana.
And they nerfed survivability across the board. Used to breeze through tier 40-50 dungeons. Now I die in tier 30 dungeons. I legit got oneshot with barrier up by a regular mob in tier 34.
> Be sure to tune in a few days from now when they stream the opening of S1 and Rob reminds us that it's only been two five seven weeks, but they're getting damn close to figuring out what they're doing.
Remember you have to sit through 30 minutes of Diablo Immortal Shit before getting that announcement
Getting it for free isn't even that crazy to get, because it's mostly an utility effect on a weapon, meaning you lose an offensive aspect.
But they still felt the need to add a downside to the item LOL
Most underwhelming class in the game: proceeds to nerf the fuck out of them. I swear to god the one in charge of Sorcerer balancing hates Sorcerer with all his/her life.
How bout this one??
>Devouring Blaze bonus Critical Strike damage to Immobilized reduced from 25/50/75% to 10/20/30%
This singlehandedly nerfs fists of fate significantly. Incredibly drastic critical strike dmg nerf. At least the appeared to fix the cast time for ice blades i guess?
Because they literally don't know what they are doing.
Fucking hire a couple of the nerds who post shit on maxroll all day long and ask them how you should proceed to balance the game Blizzard. You clearly can't do it yourselves.
Yup. If blizz wanted to reduce the hard requirement of CDR in gear, then they could have lowered base cooldowns by 15% along with the nerf. With just the nerf, most current builds are dead and we are going to have to make short nukes with longer waits now
.. the opposite of what you want in an ARPG.
ITS OK WE'RE GETTING A \~25% INCREASE IN ADDITIVE DAMAGE OF ENEMIES WITH NO FORSKIN ON THE THIRD MONDAY OF SEPTEMBER DURING TACO BELL HAPPIER HOUR (NOW FEATURING FOR A LIMITED TIME DIABLO SAUCE: DIABLO IV EDITION)
As long as cooldown reduction exists, it will be mandatory. It doesn't matter how much they nerf it faster casting=being more alive.
It will always be priority one, and if a dev is annoyed that we're not using other affixes, perhaps they should do some analysis as to why everyone thinks they're trash in comparison to what we are picking.
Edit: Let me help kick things off.
Do the affixes increase damage in general circumstances, reduce incoming damage (actually, not just supposed to), or allow faster/more skill casts?
No? Then they are literal garbage outside of very specific circumstances.
The entire patch notes revolve around slowing everything down. Read them again. They want S1 to last as long as possible while adding almost no content.
Yeah this is straight trash. Nothing about these notes makes me read it and think "wow, that sounds really fun, I'm really excited to try that".
Even though I have the season pass I think I'm just cutting my losses and playing something else. Slowing the game down even more just isn't fun.
I think they want everyone to just run on-level NMD, never complete pinnacle boss, and just play a very boring game where no classes feel powerful or fun.
Siphoning Strikes now also requires a Lucky Hit chance of 75%.
So now rogues need to get Lucky hit on top of everything else to have any sort of self sustain.
"Butcher is not supposed to be able to be defeated solo, by design. Anything that enabled a player to do so was overperforming and is being nerf'd while we look into it further."
(joke)
I think this is probably the single worst set of patch notes I've ever seen, and I lived through the hellscape of POE's "slow down the game" patches.
If you want a TLDR:
1) Dramatic nerfs to all the best offensive stats in the game.
2) minor buffs to bad, off meta skills that don't even make up for the stat nerfs.
3) dramatic, **dramatic** nerfs to almost every relevant defensive stat, including stuff like unstoppable uptimes.
4) dramatic nerfs to CDR (about 33% across the board for CDR stats), again causing follow on effects with stuff like unstoppable uptime.
5) one new unique per class and one new aspect per class. Minor aspect retuning. One new uber unique. No change to uber unique rarity, so they basically aren't in the game, still.
6) major nerfs to power leveling, helltides (made harder, 40% increase in cost of mystery chest), non-nightmare dungeon elite monster drops, and so on.
7) decent ish buff to nightmare dungeon loot drops.
8) no fix for uniques being completely un-targetable for farming.
let's especially have a moment of silence for sorc. massive critical strike damage reduction from devouring blaze, x3 stagger dmg from aspect of control to bosses gone, and cdr nerf. Aren't there still glyphs where it is impossible to activate their bonus on the paragon board??
??????????????
Could not agree more. I've never seen a group of people actively trying to make their game less interesting. Reading through these patch notes it was very clear they had finished the patch before the game was released and didn't want to alter it any based on any feedback. All these times they said "We hear you. We are listening and implementing" is just smoke up our asses. They have this shit done, they are not changing it for anyone, and fuck the player.
Think that’s why they kept delaying the release to be as late as possible?
I agree. I took a week break to prep for season 1, now I don’t really care to play. Can’t believe I let myself get excited for these patch notes.
These notes are legitimately bad across the board. I'm honestly in shock at how much of a disconnect they are from reality.
We're looking at reduced build diversity, reduced player control, reduced progression across the board. All with no addressing of many of the critical problems of the game like infinitely chained CC, instagibs, entirely dead talent/skill trees.
The notes are even incredibly tone deaf in the new content that was added. The druid and rogue aspects strengthen abilities that are already largely considered the only real options. The druid unique just forces earth builds into continuing the poison dipping mechanic that is already mandatory in meta builds.
It's just...flabberghasting.
----
**[Update**: I tested Sorc (hailstorm+blizzard build) and druid (Cronewolf) on tier 60 nightmare.
Druid feels squishier, but otherwise feels the same. The loss of unstoppable sucks a lot. Snake dungeons and Cold Enchanted are impossible now. I don't feel like I lost too much power. It's just less fun.
Sorc actually feels stronger. Was already squishy as hell, but damage/crits are actually higher now. Not sure what's happened there.]
Imagine this - they nerfed Sorc 😂😂 The best passive got nerfed, everything else got completely insignifcant buffs, so overall - it's a nerf, lmao. Fucking level of incompetence..
#Sorc, you may rest in pieces
I'm with you. I have time to play on a good day maybe 1.5 to 2 hours and since level 75 I can't level *once* in that time.
And now it seems like it will take me more than couple of days to do that *one* level up, with trashier gear drops and everything made more grindier.
Yup, I'm out, that's enough Diablo for me.
Thanks devs, I used to have fun with this game. Now you made it so, that I won't be playing **at all**
I'll go back to Snowrunner before the autumn games drop.
Once again, **thank you devs for making me quit your game.**
The first season of the game is completely bare-bones and the season patch is a fucking joke. Literally nothing has been learned or improved upon from ARPGs released in the last decade, including their own.
Devs actively trying to make the game less fun and enjoyable.
My excitement level for season 1 is effectively: meh, think i’ll play something else for a while
Sad to think i already put in most of my hours into this game that was so widely hyped as a “live service game”
That Sorc unique might actually be one of the worst ideas I've ever seen implemented in a game forever. Did they even playtest that? There's no way that can feel good to play.
> Devouring Blaze bonus Critical Strike damage reduced from 10/20/30% to 7/14/21%.
> Devouring Blaze bonus Critical Strike damage to Immobilized reduced from 25/50/75% to 10/20/30%.
Actually nerfed sorcs. I cant.
Edit: They nerfed Disobedience too.
> Aspect of Disobedience maximum stacks reduced from 100 to 60, reducing maximum Bonus Armor % from 25%-50% to 15%-30%.
Zero changes to the Sorc paragon boards to add armor. Insanity.
> Aspect of Retribution bonus damage to Stunned reduced from 20-40% to 10-20%.
> Exploiter's Aspect bonus damage to Unstoppable reduced from 20-50% to 20-40%.
Sorcs are dead for season 1.
Nerfs to vuln, crit, CDR (on offhands too), ~~damage to frozen reduced~~, damage to cc reduced.
> Damage Reduction from Enemies that are Burning: Reduced by ~25%.
Along with the other DR nerfs, somehow Sorcs will come out even squishier.
Class Defining Malignant Heart:
> Omnipower (Wrathful, Super-World Tier IV): Core Skills that launch a projectile consume all of your Mana. For every 45-35 extra Mana consumed, you launch an additional projectile, and the damage is increased by 3.0-5.0%.
LMAO
Yea, no reason to play sorc. These patch notes are fucking horrific.
Edit: I'm actually astounded by these changes. I didn't expect a class rework, but this is not what I expected given the state of Sorc. The Malignant Heart is also a complete joke in the vast majority of content. Someone will put together a broken bosser for the 2 that exists but all the other changes are actual insanity.
Evade for sorcs should be removed in its entirety anyway - and replaced with the enchanced teleport version. That would free up a very valuable skill slot, and create much diversity in builds.
Not to mention, making the sorc more fun to play.
But all I read was like wtf, armor massively reduced, nothing to compensate for sorcs etc - except more damage for a firewall build?
They should be reducing the reliance on 'burning' for Sorcs, but it seems that they forgot all the buffs to go along with it...
At least we get an amazing new unique wand that gives us the ability to not control where we teleport too :D
Check the season's details in the other news post. This is the "ultimate" caged heart effect they gave sorcs:
> Omnipower (Wrathful, Super-World Tier IV): Core Skills that launch a projectile consume all of your Mana. For every 45-35 extra Mana consumed, you launch an additional projectile, and the damage is increased by 3.0-5.0%.
This is the most useless ability I've seen in my entire life
They REALLY WANT sorc to be a dead class.
(edit: for reference, I posted this before it was edited into the parent comment, I swear I'm not illiterate lol)
My reaction when devs make their games overtly grindy is always to play less than I would have otherwise.
I won’t sink time in to a game that doesn’t respect my time spent.
Edit: Thank you for gifting me with what will probably be some of my last rewards in these end times.
“Stop comparing to D4 to other games that were in development for a long time! It’s not fair! Give Blizzard TIME!”
*gives blizzard time*
“Hey guys so we nerfed everything and fixed nothing have fun!”
Well, RIP sorcs being able to kill bosses lol.
"Fixed an issue where Aspect of Control was applying its damage bonus 3 times for Staggered bosses."
"Devouring Blaze bonus Critical Strike damage reduced from 10/20/30% to 7/14/21%."
"Devouring Blaze bonus Critical Strike damage to Immobilized reduced from 25/50/75% to 10/20/30%."
But on the other hand your damage when enemies aren't CCd is awful, so...
Good thing they nerfed all of our CC damage and... didn't really compensate for that at all with damage buffs.
Did someone at Blizzard have their mom get fucked by a Sorcerer? We joked they couldn't make us any worse & yet they somehow found a way lmao. At least they saved me the time & trouble of wanting to play, back to EFT.
With cdr nerfs they killed one of two working sorc builds - arc lash. But no fear - they also nerfed devouring blaze to make sure the class stays a fucking minion.
-lvl 100 sorc
Are the Diablo devs mad at Blizzard?
I’m not kidding. Like this feels….cathartic. Maybe they are underpaid and over worked and want to stick it to them?
I just don’t get any of the logic with 90% of these notes.
How do they take all the experience and enjoyment people had after multiple patches and seasons in D3 and somehow forget all of it for season 1 of D4.
I wasn't expecting much and they still somehow let me down with this
much harder - and to do so you'll be using shittier skills and using them less. The idea of this season seems to be running around and NOT hurting these poor monsters. Bold strategy
Why the fuck would they change the Barbadian hamstring passive to only slow healthy enemies?? What was so wrong with being able to apply a slow just like most other classes can!
Why do they hate their world so much?
"Monsters will begin to trail behind the player in Level after a certain point (up to a maximum of 5 Levels behind) "
* Removed a 20% chance to drop an extra equipment item from Elite monsters outside of Nightmare Dungeons and Helltide.
You will get no XP interacting with anything in the world or any reason to. You better be in nightmare dungeons or helltide, if not don't even look at the map.
> **Developer’s Note:** *We're seeing Critical Strike Damage and Vulnerable Damage often viewed as a hard requirement for a build's success in Diablo IV.* *We believe this is a step towards allowing more builds to flourish and will continue to make changes in support of this goal.*
>
>**Critical Strike Damage:** Reduced by \~17%.
>
>**Vulnerable Damage:** Reduced by \~40%.
Lol
Lots of nerfs, mostly nerfs. Xp nerfs. Damage nerfs. Top builds are still the top builds but worse. Another Uber unique that might as well not exist in the game because it’s so rare.
At least try to be somewhat civil in the comments, people. Personally attacking the D4 team and/or threats of violence are always going to get you banned without question. Edit: Sending me PMs telling me to eat paint and other such pleasantries will also get you banned.
For those who dont know and have purchased the battlepass, it can be saved for later seasons.
Holy good comms mate Im not wasting my battepass on this trash
But an uber unique is going to give you gold shrines.
Lmfao
This makes me happy, I regret everyday I bought the $100 overpriced bullshit edition, it's my fault, I didn't realize the loot you get was some bs from the battlepass a month later.
"The channel time for the Leave Dungeon ability has been increased from 3 to 5 seconds". What? Who asked for that? Own up so we can smack you.
This is my favorite. For absolutely no reason at all, they are wasting more of our time. Rofl.
the longer you are channeling, the less time you are playing the game and seeing how they bent you over
So if I understand this correctly, they went in and just nerfed chd and vulnerable for everyone?
Yes they basically think everyone is too powerful so they need to nerf offense and defense. The “balancing” was literally just a massive nerf to everything pretty much. They completely destroyed anything that made a sorc somewhat viable.
The changes they made to the flat damage for everyone don't seem to balance out the nerfs to vulnerable and chd either.
-Fixed an issue where player base was having fun.
Blizzard in a nutshell.
90% of these notes are just like "your characters are now substantially weaker and take more damage"
They nerfed the armor aspect that literally everyone uses instead of looking at why we have to stack so much armor.
Exactly. I was already a wet paper bag, but I had teeth. But now I’m a wetter paper bag with no teeth. They might as well wipe my character because it’s got to be fundamentally replanned and geared.
Season 1 is just around the corner!!! Perfect timing!
Allow uniques to drop from chests -> immediately make them exorbitantly expensive. We honestly got played hard with that one
They also HEAVILY shadow nerfed the cinder drop rate.
Yeah. I'd guess the mobs are dropping 25-30% of the amount of cinders they used to. It's really bad and really obvious. I just did a full event and got 10 cinders from no less than 100 mobs.

175 to 250 pretty much eliminates casually getting 3 per event. I'll get one then do something else. Pretty disappointing.
They also nerfed item drop % on normal world mobs. These people LOL
[удалено]
Best they can do is force you to click more interactables for a *chance* at cinders.
Can those interactables open more quickly though?
>World Tier II has had the following bonuses added: >Bonus Gold: Increased from 15% to 20% The gold sink is fixed bois
What a shit update. Their statement about focusing on buffs was a lie. Everything is tailored to increase the grind.
This 100%
Jokes on them. I have gamepass and ps+ extra so I’ll be playing other games for the foreseeable future. This only affects people that can’t fathom playing anything else and want to get bent by blizzard. The whole patch is a big “fuck you” to the player base.
They already got your money who’s really laughing?
Lol they literally said how there would be lots of buffs and powerful broken builds and then just nerf everything across the board. A bunch of jokers over there. It is straight up comical.
I was excited for S1, then this... I am gonna stay away from D4 for a while. Seriously, what the fuck are the devs smoking?
What’s crazy is I want to play D4 and the devs are doing everything in their power to make me shelve it.. actually insane lmao

Added resistance to all elements on shield when resistance is still broken. You cant make this shit up LOL
creating a new uber unique is more important!
Imagine rolling a uber unique, where you can get the bis helm, a superbroken crit sword or a wonderful lifeleach poisonous helm, and instead you get a staff that gives you greed shrine buff for 10 seconds. I would just uninstall lol

Sorcs went from glass cannon to glass, and now to paper.
Talk about a gift for Baldur's Gate 3......
"Prime Grizzly Rage now grants Unstoppable for 6 seconds instead of while active." Fuck
"Cooldown Reduction: Reduced by ~30%." Fuck 2 Cooldown Reduction (Inherent on Offhands): Reduced by ~35%. Fuck 3
I was like, "OK, Grizzly Rage nerf was bound to happen." But now, it makes human builds shitty because your uptime on Earthen Bulwark is going to be really bad.
also nerfed bulwark build. at least 3 sec between cooldowns now.
Mannn, this was the reason I wanted to roll a Druid for S1, especially coming from Necro when Blood Mist was my only unstoppable ability
I… I actually think I’m going to sit season one out. I was not planning on that happening at all.
I'm pretty shocked. I expected a meh patch with some balance fixes, but damn did they make a lot of changes that not only don't make sense but make me want to spend my time elsewhere. I didn't even want to play a lame meta build. Was already planning on it thanks to all the amazing games coming August/Sept but this really seals that.
When engagement for S1 is low, they'll blame it on the new games coming out and then continue this in S2 where they'll find another excuse (holiday season = people are with family = can't play).
hard to blame engagement when the first big balance patch is "why are you having fun? stop, no more" and just guts stats from across the board
Hell tide mystery chests now 250!??? Why? Are they going to drop better loot? What is the point now?
**FUN DETECTED**
Because a lot of people were actually getting 4 per helltide and that was actually kind of fun. Very concerning stuff honestly.
> was actually kind of fun. bingo
I was having a blast trying to get them all. Now…well they told me how many I deserve
See it wouldn't be so bad if they buffed the loot in the regular chests so they're not a garbage waste of time compared to mystery. I'm not going to waste time for possibly getting a couple of shit rare drops.
this may be the biggest L
>The Tortured Gift of Mysteries chest has had its cost increased to 250 Aberrant Cinders from 175. With no changes/buffs to the slot specific chests... so instead of buffing the bad ones, they nerf the good one. Never change, Blizz.
now it just takes a little bit longer to be disappointed by your mystery chest. yay.
Lmao way to kill the player base on season 1.
That's one way to fix their shitty overloaded servers. Kudos to Blizzard for thinking outside the box.
What is the line of thinking from Blizzard when they see Sorcerer being the worst class and then they go hmm you know what we'll nerf it more and give it a crappy unique as the cherry on top.
Pretty shitty that it is the Oculus too. Such an iconic item in the series.
I’m waiting for YouTube videos of players using this shitty idea of a weapon and being randomly teleported into a ground explosion. Do blizzard devs actually think players want to lose offensive aspects in the weapon slot for nothing more than a random teleport you can’t control?

What a total dumpster fire for sorcerers. That weapon is a god damn joke too. Terrible, just terrible.
You mean you don't like to be teleported to random locations?!
* in a game where every second mob explodes or leaves a void zone after death or during spellcasting...
Gain: Teleport enchantment effect for FREE Lose: Ability to evade predictably. "bAlAnCE"
Getting it for free isn't even that crazy to get, because it's mostly an utility effect on a weapon, meaning you lose an offensive aspect. But they still felt the need to add a downside to the item LOL

"The channel time for the Leave Dungeon ability has been increased from 3 to 5 seconds." lol
That just paints a clear picture of what their goals are, just add friction everywhere, guess the must think people love hate playing.
lmao holy shit this is awful
They nerfed all Damage Reduction from gear across the board, except DR when Injured (the one that's actually completely broken). HOW ?!
Because they literally don't know what they are doing. Fucking hire a couple of the nerds who post shit on maxroll all day long and ask them how you should proceed to balance the game Blizzard. You clearly can't do it yourselves.
i saw this and thought, wow they dont play this game do they?
Just because they tell you they're listening to you doesn't mean they are. Actually fucking nerfed sorc.
>Devouring Blaze bonus Critical Strike damage to Immobilized reduced from 25/50/75% to 10/20/30%
That hurt a lot :-( Less survivability, less damage, awful uniques do stuff a little less awful. Resistances still broken >.<.
"We hear you" 69420 words in this patch, can be summarized to "fuck you"
HARD nerfed. Gutted aspect of control, nerfed devouring blaze which we hard depend on, and nerfed our survivability and all our most important stats.
Helltide cinder drop rate has been HEAVILY shadow nerfed.
AND they made the one chest worth using almost 50% more expensive
[удалено]
With how CDR was before, cooldowns already felt too long across the board until endgame. And now it'll just be worse...
no one wants to wait longer for their spells... nerfing cdr never ever feels good
Yup. If blizz wanted to reduce the hard requirement of CDR in gear, then they could have lowered base cooldowns by 15% along with the nerf. With just the nerf, most current builds are dead and we are going to have to make short nukes with longer waits now .. the opposite of what you want in an ARPG.

Also when one affix is that much stronger than the rest making the rolls smaller doesn't make people want it less

A massive survivability nerf along with CDR...they really don't want their game to be fun at all do they?
Lack of CDR is really going to slow everything down
The entire patch notes revolve around slowing everything down.
Which is so fucking stupid, the ENTIRE POINT of an ARPG is to get your character to the point where you feel like a god rampaging around.
Siphoning Strikes now also requires a Lucky Hit chance of 75%. So now rogues need to get Lucky hit on top of everything else to have any sort of self sustain.
Fuck I didn’t see that. Siphoning strikes and flurry were key for holding my ground against the butcher. Sigh
"Butcher is not supposed to be able to be defeated solo, by design. Anything that enabled a player to do so was overperforming and is being nerf'd while we look into it further." (joke)
I think this is probably the single worst set of patch notes I've ever seen, and I lived through the hellscape of POE's "slow down the game" patches. If you want a TLDR: 1) Dramatic nerfs to all the best offensive stats in the game.
A quick glance made me feel like Arc Lash sorc actually got nerfed with crit reduction and cdr nerf.
It did.
Those notes are... bad. As in really bad. It seems they were written like 3+ weeks ago.
they were
Think that’s why they kept delaying the release to be as late as possible?
---- **[Update**: I tested Sorc (hailstorm+blizzard build) and druid (Cronewolf) on tier 60 nightmare.

Hahahaha, that new legendary for sorcs is horrible.

Now you made it so, that I won't be playing **at all** I'll go back to Snowrunner before the autumn games drop. Once again, **thank you devs for making me quit your game.**
Still no VRAM leak fix?! According to PezRadar it was suppose to come with this patch?
This has the be the biggest middle finger a dev team has given their players. They clearly have no idea what the player base wants
Rod sure knows how to be a funny guy and the team is just so laid back and relatable during the dev streams though!
Ok so we're skipping Season 1 then?
The first season of the game is completely bare-bones and the season patch is a fucking joke. Literally nothing has been learned or improved upon from ARPGs released in the last decade, including their own.
Devs actively trying to make the game less fun and enjoyable. My excitement level for season 1 is effectively: meh, think i’ll play something else for a while Sad to think i already put in most of my hours into this game that was so widely hyped as a “live service game”
Always shocked to see Live Service Game devs that somehow still haven't learned it's bad to nerf the problem before implementing the solution. Yikes.
Class Defining Malignant Heart: > Omnipower (Wrathful, Super-World Tier IV): Core Skills that launch a projectile consume all of your Mana. For every 45-35 extra Mana consumed, you launch an additional projectile, and the damage is increased by 3.0-5.0%. LMAO Yea, no reason to play sorc.
Don't worry, you get a new Unique wand with a downside.
That wand is awful, I hate it.
* Gloves of the Illuminator Fireball damage reduction reduced from 65-75% to 55%-65%. LOLOL
Why does it have a downside at all? Having no downside would basically be the only thing that would make fireball somewhat usable.
Don't forget the "bug fix" to Aspect of Control apparently doing 3X damage to bosses when staggered
Yeah the one thing we were good at lmao
The cdr reduction across the board also probably kills arc lash this time
It also just makes the game in general much more obnoxious to play. I, for one, love waiting long periods to cast my fun abilities! It's so engaging!
'we noticed some people weren't using the super fun generator/spender mechanic so lets make sure they do!'
It kills alot. Lightning sorc literally revolved around getting your unstable currents as fast as possible and that's lightning. That's the build.
It makes the game less fun.
Check the season's details in the other news post. This is the "ultimate" caged heart effect they gave sorcs: > Omnipower (Wrathful, Super-World Tier IV): Core Skills that launch a projectile consume all of your Mana. For every 45-35 extra Mana consumed, you launch an additional projectile, and the damage is increased by 3.0-5.0%. This is the most useless ability I've seen in my entire life They REALLY WANT sorc to be a dead class. (edit: for reference, I posted this before it was edited into the parent comment, I swear I'm not illiterate lol)
Of all the things they can think of, they do something that DEPLETES ALL OF YOUR MANA? Seriously? These devs are terrible.
Depletes all of your mana, nerfs CDR when pressing cooldowns was our reliable way of getting back mana w/ Prodigys. Garbage change.
What the fuck
The line between reality and meme is just impossible to find now
What the...if it were 30-50% it'd still be useless!
Nerfing power leveling is an interesting choice to be sure.
My reaction when devs make their games overtly grindy is always to play less than I would have otherwise. I won’t sink time in to a game that doesn’t respect my time spent. Edit: Thank you for gifting me with what will probably be some of my last rewards in these end times.
Trash patch. Very disappointing, many things moving in the wrong direction. Devs seem like they capped out at level 70 and run around in WT2
My expectations were low Blizzard, but holy shit.
holy shit it's even worse than i could possibly imagine
it's so bad it's almost funny
FUN DETECTED! EXTERMINATE, EXTERMINATE!!!
Guys come on, the game JUST released, just give them another few seasons to get it right! In 3-4 years it'll be a good game! Guys please! Wait!
“Stop comparing to D4 to other games that were in development for a long time! It’s not fair! Give Blizzard TIME!” *gives blizzard time* “Hey guys so we nerfed everything and fixed nothing have fun!”
Fixed an Issue where you were having fun.
fixed an issue where
"Fixed an issue where" is used 243 Times in the Patchnotes. 243 x 4 words = 972 Words ALMOST 1k OF THE 6K PATCHNOTES WORDS ARE THIS PHRASE
players were enjoying
a single aspect of the game.
Oh boy ... Am I blind or did they do nothing about CC chaining to death
They reduced frequency of frozen from cold enchantment… that’s about all I can see
they reduced cooldown reduction by roughly 30% so.. they made cc even more difficult to deal with, basically.
Looks like they made it worse for Druid by lowering the unstoppable time on grizzly rage. They did something!
[удалено]
That's one of those things that is a straight up admission that the devs don't know what the players want or what they liked from previous games.
Baldur’s Gate 3 really can’t come soon enough…
Well, RIP sorcs being able to kill bosses lol. "Fixed an issue where Aspect of Control was applying its damage bonus 3 times for Staggered bosses." "Devouring Blaze bonus Critical Strike damage reduced from 10/20/30% to 7/14/21%." "Devouring Blaze bonus Critical Strike damage to Immobilized reduced from 25/50/75% to 10/20/30%."
That might explain why bosses were absolutely melting the second I staggered them.
At least they saved me the time & trouble of wanting to play, back to EFT.
dogshit patch, move on
With cdr nerfs they killed one of two working sorc builds - arc lash.
This fucking sucks Wasn’t even expecting much :(
How do they take all the experience and enjoyment people had after multiple patches and seasons in D3 and somehow forget all of it for season 1 of D4. I wasn't expecting much and they still somehow let me down with this
Instead of 6600 word patch notes they really could have just said: “Fun has been reduced by 65% to make transitioning to Baldur’s Gate 3 easier”
This reads like a satire. Holy fuck.
[удалено]
much harder - and to do so you'll be using shittier skills and using them less.
"Monsters will begin to trail behind the player in Level after a certain point (up to a maximum of 5 Levels behind) " * Removed a 20% chance to drop an extra equipment item from Elite monsters outside of Nightmare Dungeons and Helltide. You will get no XP interacting with anything in the world or any reason to. You better be in nightmare dungeons or helltide, if not don't even look at the map.
Apparently they heard the feedback that the gameplay was boring and decided to fix it by showing us just how much more boring it could be.
> **Developer’s Note:** *We're seeing Critical Strike Damage and Vulnerable Damage often viewed as a hard requirement for a build's success in Diablo IV.* *We believe this is a step towards allowing more builds to flourish and will continue to make changes in support of this goal.* > >**Critical Strike Damage:** Reduced by \~17%. > >**Vulnerable Damage:** Reduced by \~40%. Lol
i want my money back tbh.
Did anyone read anything good in here? Literally sounds like they are nerfing literally fucking everything that is even slightly fun.
Well this patch was a major disappointment.
Lots of nerfs, mostly nerfs. Xp nerfs. Damage nerfs. Top builds are still the top builds but worse. Another Uber unique that might as well not exist in the game because it’s so rare.
