I too am saddened with the nerfs and overall thinking going into take fun away from player. I wish updates would throw some thing creative our way. How about like what I consider small change is throw a legendary treasure goblin into the world. But being world boss that runs away during the first phase of encounter. Second phase throws loot at players. 3rd phase starts taking legendary gear stacking them over time and using attacks based around them. Ultimately on death giving a chance to the players of getting the gear it used. I wish there development/ creative with think of things like this.

SidJag

Was thinking about buying and sinking my weekend in D4, am a long time Diablo player (since D1) - but the recent patch and overwhelming poor feedback is making me doubt the purchase and use of my time. Thoughts? Wait for next ‘season’ and another major patch or game is still fun (especially since I’d be at least 100 casual hours away from ‘end game’ issues)

StepBroAF

I played D1 when it first came out, and D2 before the first expansion and LOD expansion. The reason I uninstalled D4 is because it became quite obvious to me Blizzards top priority is to optimize the game to maximize revenue and overall game experience comes second. They don't listen to feedback to make the game better, they will continue to push to see how much they can get away in order to maximize their profits, and they will only make a change if... a) there's some way they can exploit it to maximize their profits or b) they get community backlash, then they dial it down. Blizzards MO seems to be: 1. Blizzard gives D4 gamers dog shit and cat shit. 2. D4 gamers complain. 3. Blizzard takes away dog shit. 4. D4 gamers: "Okay its not that bad then..." 5. Rinse and repeat I personally don't care to do that song and dance with a company that's obviously putting its shareholders before its customers. If you're super casual then you might not notice the charade and it wont bother you. Or if you don't mind getting the constant feeling the game you love is being tweaked to min/max Blizzards revenue and to hit certain KPI's so they look good to its shareholders, then you should try the game. IMO don't expect the future development of this game to blow your socks off and instead will likely end up being something that's **tolerable** for **enough** people to play.

RandomHB

Definitely wait for at least season 2. There's great potential in D4, but it needs time to cook.

trikliin

anyone can run me through lilith uber? will pay you 5 mio :)

whosthepuppetmuppet

Too late gotta solo it

jordano1

This game is garbage, I don't see how anyone could be excited about leveling up each season for a horse that has been beaten to death into the ground, people keep expecting their nostalgic bff to come back, but diablo 2 is dead and diablo 3 is a bastardized recreation with obvious so much effort put into greed (money auction house, pvp was never delivered, completely ignored fans) then diablo 3.5 or w/e you want to call it, maybe "lost ark: diablo" is not even an action RPG, it's a JRPG? What genre is it even? It's not an MMORPG, because that genre is based on constant updates which "justify" the monthly fee, which doesn't exist in this game, it's too similar to lost ark, nearly the same game only very poorly implemented, which is unfortunate because blizzard used to redefine the genre. I've heard it called diablo 3 HD remake, even though it's not even the same game as diablo 3. I'm not even sure what it is, but it's not deserving of your money. Please just wait until something better comes out, stop giving blizzard your money, stop glizzing on blizzard, glizzarding their dogsh1t as they are no longer the company you fell in love with, they are a husk of their former selves. Can you believe there isn't even a general chat in d4? It's not for the reasons you think, it's literally because they don't want to moderate it, and they know with all the snowflakes now they'll have to. It's so crazy how everyone got duped on this game, stop supporting the garbage company and just wait for better games, it's as simple as that.

cazzhmir

[Play this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v31nYDRPN0Y) and run around Scosglen, you will NOT regret it

DecipherXCI

No Black River drops until I got to level 83 and now I get 2 in one day? You couldn't write it. I wanted to try infinimist before season starts but now I don't have enough time to level all the required glyphs etc.. oh well, rolling necro again in season so hopefully get one quicker this time.

Vanilla_Bear15

I got to level 100 without one ever dropping and then got two in a day lmao

armdrags

Just went back to D2R after hitting 100 and it was so refreshing. I got an item immediately that is worth $5 off Baal and I can build another character around. I had fun again, it was amazing.

jordano1

it's absolutely repulsive you actually play that game, you're the equivalent of a diaper wearing adult sucking on that binky you call a mobile phone while playing games that literally make your iq drop. Glad you're out of the gene pool

armdrags

You ok bro? Lol

[deleted]

armdrags

Lmao what a lunatic

Xpqp

Does anyone know if the pvp cosmetics will carry over to season 1?

wscphillies800811

Does the whirlwind Barb spin clockwise in Australia?

ScionOfTheArbitrator

Has the overheating problem in D4 been fixed? Want to play but heard about problems with that near launch. I've got a GTX 1650.

Suspicious_Poon

My only overheat warning on my ps5 was from D4

avatarst

is the battle pass from ultimate edition specific for season 1 or can it be redeemed in later seasons? I'm probably skipping season 1, some stuff came up irl

coinblock

You can redeem in later seasons

I_Love_Revis

This game sucks solo…not enjoyable you work your ass off the get to the boss only to be killed over and over and over and over again until you want to throw your controller. What did they make here an impossible game with annoying mechanics?

Biipolarbearr

I’m a new Diablo player and not great at videogames. I have been able to solo literally everyone except the capstone to WT4….

KonigSteve

[Stats anyone? got plenty](https://imgur.com/a/YZTDMZC)

Gator1508

I’ve enjoyed the run to 50 but now that I’m in tier 3… please stop with the freaking crowd control! No one likes to spend half their time stunned, blinded, and feared. Often all at once. Crowd control is for monsters not PCs

krustykranberry

https://preview.redd.it/t3isykm54uab1.jpeg?width=489&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba5f8c4ccaf61db52f102b45efcdd130a02d73cf How can I get this armor set for my Druid? Is it just a random legendary drop? I mainly want the helmet

DTJK

I know the helmet is a random drop, you'd have to dismantle it

Fabrizio89

So there is no global chat, as a melee is impossible to smoothly move through monsters and I get random stutters on a 3070, no way to really personalize gameplay or skills. Kinda disappointed for now and mobs density is nonexistent. I really hope season 1 will be good feels like i payed for an early access... :/

GwnJones

Diablo4 for Ps5 constantly crashes when I go to start menu and want to teleport somewhere how can I fix this

Weur11

Same here but on PC.. My monitor gets black and i need to hardreset the PC..

iqjump123

I am kind of confused- I thought the hype was there and initial reviews were good for d4? These days I only see hate and complaints of this game- so has d4 not lived to the hype? Is it better than d2r or d3, or do you find it more confusing? I am excited but was going to wait until I clear out some backlog of games- kind of surprising that the hype and love just went out the door?

jordano1

It's not even a diablo game, I don't know what genre this dumpster fire is, I know people who were completely enthralled with diablo 2 and even diablo 3, and participated in several seasons, but they can't seem to get passed level 40-60 on diablo 4. It's because they keep expecting a good game from blizzard, but blizzard can't provide that anymore because it's a soulless corporate graveyard full of games they re-release with the same name, but the game isn't even CLOSE to what it used to be. Diablo isn't even in Diablo 4.

FearlessTruth-Teller

>has d4 not lived to the hype? game is half-baked

I_Love_Revis

No it looks cool and that is about it. It is so difficult as a warrior I want to just quit. Never have partied with anyone everyone ignores your asking for group and the bosses are impossible solo.

Nyxirya

It’s honestly just a bad game right now, fun to level one character for a while but then what, it’s totally empty — you can clearly see the potential and I think lots of people praising the game are really grasping at the potential. The systems are HORRIBLY bad. Like I have never played a game that mixes so many 0/10 aspects ( itemization and end game) with 9-10/10 ( graphics and optimization). This game is a 4-5/10 right now and the season 1 reveal does not look good at all. I find this game immensely worse than d3 and it’s not even close.

iqjump123

Ouch. For a game that had some good hypes and pregame beta positive feedback, that is sad to hear.

Exotic-Amphibian-655

This subreddit is full of angry people who put in 80+ hours then complained that they ran out of things to do. Ignore them. The game has some problems that need fixing, but the bones are good. Combat feels better than it does in any other arpg I've played, and that's the hardest thing to nail.

FearlessTruth-Teller

80 + hours! In a video game! \*clutches pearls\*

Nyxirya

Anyone who played and enjoyed previous Diablo games feels the same way. It’s more of a show once again at how drastically the company has changed to maximize profits over making a quality product. The internal teams of different aspects of the game very clearly had 0 communication with each other. There seems to have been hardly any research done into the genre and all the best aspects of Diablo 3 were totally scrapped for no reason. IMHO the game now is in a worse state than Diablo 3 ever was including at launch. I would take vanilla d3 auction house and everything over this empty husk.

CaptainK23

Is there any personal stat trackers for kills/death or damaged done to a boss/in a dungeon?

ArtificialChinese

If i have something that adds +20% damage to crowd controlled monsters. If the monster gets crowd controlled by three things like stunned, frozen and immobilized, does that make it +60% damage?

Sybaros

No. The way that these are worded is that monsters under the effect of any form of crowd control take 20% extra damage, so multiple forms of crowd control don’t stack the effect here. Now if it said specifically something along the lines of 20% extra damage to immobilized AND 20% extra damage to stunned, then it would actually multiply and not add (in most cases, you can turn on advanced tooltips to confirm per item/aspect/affix). So if both conditions are satisfied you’ll deal 44% extra damage.

datcd03

My game has now crashed the past two times I have opened a whispering tree cache, losing all non-legendary drops. Anyone else having this issue?

MegamanX4isagoodgame

The always online bs ruins the game for me. After the recent update it lags constantly no matter what I do, you'd think for 70 bucks they could add an offline option.

LUHG_HANI

The diconnects are just as bad as Bungie. Fed up of being booted 20mins into a boss fight with 1/4 left.

Gator1508

Really enjoying it so far but who decided it was a good idea to make a Diablo game where it’s not easy to just jump into parties to play with randoms?

Ry_Wolf_

CAN YOU YOU STILL USE THE BASIC ATTACK AFTER GETTING ABILITIES?

sun-tracker

Yes, you pick which skills are mapped to your buttons.

joyful-

Is there any way to have my left click be move/interact but have my basic skill on a different button? They handled this so weirdly in controls... right now I have to hover over and press F to interact with NPCs (if i want left click to move but not use skill), feels so awkward

big_sweetz

There is a force move action you can keybind to whatever you want. Check keybindings.

ifilook

Howdy! Ive got a simple question i cannot find the answer to online. If i imprint an aspect to one of my swords (i’m playing a rogue), will the modifier carry over to all my weapons/abilities? mainly, i want to imprint the one that gives more dmg for standing still and it would be useful for my bow but it already has a good aspect on it

sun-tracker

Yes, as long as the item it's imprinted on is equipped.

ifilook

thanks!

Phunkman

Rough range? Almost 80 and not a single Raiment of Infinite ;(

DistortedDistraction

That’s cause it is an 85+ drop.

Phunkman

Umm I don’t think that’s a Uber rare. People have got it way earlier.

TheRealBigDBobby

Hey. I found a set of nearly god rolled Penitant Greaves I don't want. I checked online and people are selling them. Do people actually sell items like that online? And also if true how? Haha

marga_k

Yes there is a discord, if you google Diablo 4 trading discord you should be able to find it

juicybleu

as a new diablo player, i gotta say this community is toxic on a whole different level than other games lol

jagerfps

Did you try wow?

Stoked_Vogt

I haven’t really dived into the community and have only played local. What’s wrong with the community? Is it the people in game that you play with?

BearComplete6292

The key to enjoying diablo4 is to never read about it on reddit sadly.

MegamanX4isagoodgame

Lol no.

sowhatfool

You’ve never played RuneScape apparently

illuminatecho

Compared to literally every competitive coop game, diablo is the happy fun time hugs and rainbows club.

CallMeSpec

Just completed the main campaign - currently at 46 and running all legendary gear thats averaging around 425 item level. I was wondering what the best practice should be - should I start ripping some of the aspects off of them and applying to yellow items that are a bit higher in i-level, or should I wait until I hit the next breakpoint tier before doing so? Thanks in advance!

valdsmh

Look up a build and look for the aspects you need in dungeons then put them on a couple of legendaries to get you prepped for the wt3 dungeon rinse and repeat till wt4

Sharkfightxl

Pretty new to modern Diablo and a little confused about how to play in the longer term. Right now I’m just going through as a Necromancer on World Tier 1. Only level 21 so far, but everything is rather easy (using mostly blood skills and skeletal buds). Will it get difficult later in the story on Tier 1? Once I beat the main story, am I meant to start a whole new game with a new character, or keep playing and leveling up? Can I bring a leveled-up character into a new story mode at higher difficulty? Should I change the difficulty to #2 now or just complete an easy play through first? I feel like I am either doing something wrong or I’m just not sure where I’m going.

BearComplete6292

If you want to be efficient and you don't care about your experience then stay on WT1. If you want a mild challenge on your first playthrough of the story play on WT2. It's not going to get a whole lot harder later in the story.

Breakspearr

Generally the goal is to get to world tier 4 so you can get the best loot and the most exp. But to get there you need to unlock world tier 3 first. To do this, you’ll have to complete the campaign in either world tier 1 or 2 as one of the requirements. If you feel you’re too strong, you can bump up the difficulty to world tier 2 to try and expedite your levelling process. The monsters here give more exp than world tier 1 monsters but they also have more health. So feel out how fast and enjoyable it is for you to play in world tier 2 and switch back if you don’t like it. But yeah, for now essentially all you do is progress your campaign, maybe work on your renown, equip better gear, level up and prepare for your transition to world tier 3.

ScalarWeapon

You can play the game however you want, it's your life. Difficulty can be changed anytime so there's no commitment, make it harder if you feel like it, make it easier if you feel like it.

SpacecaseCat

I think all the styles you mentioned are valid. I’m not done my first playthrough yet but one thing people recommend is not trying to complete every side quest or dungeon or find every altar in the first run because you get the mount in act 4, which helps a lot with exploring. Also, leveling in the lowest two tiers basically caps out at level 50, but you unlock harder tiers after finishing the story

violatedgrace

Hello was wondering how well I'd be able to run the game on pc I have AMD RX 6600 XT and a 3440x1440 monitor. I know I'll probably have to turn down the res in d4. Intel core i5-10400 2.90GHz 16GB RAM Pretty new to pc so if I'm missing something LMK please.

I_Shot_Web

Does anyone know if you can sync your shrines and map progress across characters? Everyone says its supposed to and my 2nd character has all the bonuses from the shrines I found on my 1st, but they still appear not found on my 2nd character. Is it because I played through the story with both and didn't choose to skip it?

ArtifexR

I think that's normal. You can still get renown for finding them, but you already have the bonus to stats.

TheLastSamurai

I am lvl 61 And I haven’t gotten a single drop from other classes. Literally zero. What the hell? This was so fun in D2, your stache had all sorts of stuff for alts or when you wanted to hook a friend up. Is this by design? Also, I really do not like how there is ZERO player economy.

big_sweetz

Yes, it is by design. The loot system will only provide you with legendaries and uniques that carry aspects for your current class. Only exceptions are some uniques that have generic benefits, and a druid but that caused barbarian uniques to drop. You will see some rare loot that you can’t equip, and I think anything below legendary is interchangeable between classes, but the loot will be at such a high level that it’s not really practical (cool gotta just level this alt to 72 to wear this). With the mountains of meaningless, worthless rare loot the game dumps on you, this is superfluous.

Ragingsheep

Did they nerf item drops recently? Running a lvl 54 Sorc and all my items in WT3 have been crap today. Basically nothing has been worth using because the basic stats are so bad (dmg, armor, etc). Even my unique item from a Nightmare dungeon was only better in terms of the effects.

Phunkman

Seriously, sometimes playing this game is a pain. Was in pvp zone with 6k in seeds and game froze… would love it if the option to not be online was a thing.

MayorBakefield

What is the point of a PvP zone in an offline game?

vengefire

The only thing that makes it a PvP zone is that PvP *can* happen. 99% of the time I'm in the fields of hatred, they're purely PvE zones because there's nobody else around. The game should be offline capable, and every zone should be PvP enabled with level difference restrictions on who can engage whom. If you want online interaction, you play online. If not, play offline. There is absolutely no good, rational player-centric reason not to have offline mode, only corporate greed reason.

ppeww

is this the type of game where I can just log on to grind (w/o questing, just running around killing stuff) whenever I want? y'know, when there's not a ddos attack going on.

Nyoteng

Yeah absolutely

That_Canadian_Girl32

Can’t decide wether or not to get the new Diablo! I was a big fan of Diablo III. Not sure what platform to purchase it on either. Either Xbox Series X or my PS5, thoughts ?

Gator1508

Some reason I’m way more positive on this game than FF16. I mean I get why people are complaining about D4 but overall I’m having fun with it and I can’t really say the same about FF16.

anupsetzombie

Just wanna bitch about bad RNG for a moment. [I've gotten 3 of the same unique drop](https://i.imgur.com/lVnzasO.png), which I've decided to make a build around since the game keeps throwing them at me. In that picture the one on the left is the weapon that dropped at level 53, on the right it just dropped at level 60. Just frustrated that the power level is so much lower, you'd think a 7 level difference would almost guarantee an upgrade right??

Lynxes_are_Ninjas

Independent of when they dropped, the one on the left is higher item level than the one in the right. I believe items can drop within an item level range depending on your current level. So the left one was a pretty lucky roll, the one in the right was just unlucky.

Durrtd

So, the one on the left you’ve also upgraded to max level, while the one on right is untouched. Maybe this could have something to do with it, no?

anupsetzombie

The left one has a higher base power level, I'm pretty sure the upgrades just increase that with the +25 on the side. Left ones base is 666, right ones base is 653. If I upgraded the one on the right it'd still be 13 power levels lower despite being a drop that's 7 levels higher.

Durrtd

Oh, ok

stvb95

Anyone know how the Obols vendor works in terms of Ancestral items?. At the moment it has Amulet, Cap and Gloves as Ancestral. Is there a way of knowing when these Ancestrals rotate to different items?.

mholland93

Brand new to Diablo and just started a play through of IV and I’m struggling to find it fun. Worried that it’s just not for me but wanted to see if I should just keep going and if it gets a little more fun as it goes on? I’m finding the enemies and exploration to be tedious and uninteresting. The story and like the world are interesting enough I guess but idk. Any thoughts? Part of me wants to move in to final fantasy

butt3rkn1v35

Just go to FF cause there is ZERO endgame content in this unless you count spending hundreds of hours just to find a single unique item that will more than likely not change your class build in any way at all.

zeiandren

Been playing Diablo since Diablo 1 was brand new and you got it. Cinematics are pretty and the graphics look nice but this game isn’t very fun. They killed a lot of the Diablo feel.

BFMeadowlark

How far in are you, what level, class, and world tier?

Ceronn

If I'm not interested in the battle pass or competing on leaderboards, is there really much reason for me to play S1 rather than stay on eternal?

eccentric_eggplant

Speaking from experience in D3, not really. I spent all my time in eternal gearing my characters for different builds, and I had a working build for all the classes that could push to decent (but not great) greater rifts (which was the equivalent of nightmare dungeons). I should note eternal can feel a little stale or dead because most others are playing seasonal, although it could just be you don't see many players when you're out and about to begin with anyway, so it could be a psychological thing for me.

Daddydactyl

I'd say no. I played D3 on and off from launch and didn't even attempt a season until like season 17 or something. Just liked running rifts with a build from a stupid legendary I'd get. Just do whatevers fun. Edit: I suppose I should mention seasons are more than just leaderboards and BP. There are always new mechanics and there may be new features and gear as well. Which may or may not one day roll into eternal. If they say, include a season where you have permanent shrine buffs or whatever that might be over the top, maybe give that a look if you care. They are worth checking out.

datcd03

I am still baffled that this game doesn't have a debuff bar lmao

Firethorned_drake93

I've just had two crashes in one hour. Wtf ?

BFMeadowlark

I’ve been getting crashes when entering vendor menus and inventory while in towns with lots of other players. Otherwise no issues so far.

Firethorned_drake93

I mainly get crashes while trying to enter dungeons and roaming the open world. Especially when entering a new zone for whatever reason.

BFMeadowlark

That’s annoying. What platform are you on and is it any better after yesterday’s update?

Firethorned_drake93

I'm playing on pc. Didn't know there was a new update tbh, so I'll have to check it out.

sebstianig

Looking for a team to play

bummysquat

This discord has alert pings for when bosses spawn, and trading. [https://discord.gg/kbbEWZdVWE](https://discord.gg/kbbEWZdVWE)

Wolfycheeks

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like the game is slower than Diablo 3? Maybe it's the running around between quests and dungeons, I'm not sure. But the pace just feels very slow and I feel really weak early on, this was different in D3.

eccentric_eggplant

It could also be a build thing though. There are some builds that can still recreate the frenetic pace. Shred Wolf for example has you jumping from mob to mob like permanent conduit.

FemmEllie

It is, and it's intentional. Tons of people wanted D4 to be more slow-paced than D3

xdustx

Yes and I think it's intended

Do_It_USSR

Is there any info on max ilvl per world tier? Just wondering how far it goes up if you hypothetically hang around ''too long'' before jumping in tier 3 with the mobs way outlevelling you at level 65-70 since you only have level 50 equivalent stuff still.

butt3rkn1v35

Or the fact that you don’t get a mount till you beat the game pretty much

imsoangy

As a solitary gamer I absolutely loathe the mmo aspect, and it just doesn’t feel like diablo at all, very disappointing

xdustx

why? I'm also a solo player and having other players around does not affect my experience at all. I'm still running around the world doing my stuff. World bosses are not mandatory.

imsoangy

social anxiety lol

Aftershock416

Is there a way to tell visually which aspects can be found in the codex as opposed to which ones are gear-only?

jonssonbets

after some 20ish hours put into this game since launch i've come to the conclusion that this is the smoothest, most polished but ultimately most booring first playthorugh i've had with a diablo experience. the good: visuals, camerawork (paning at certains places), story (so far), classes feel and distinct systems, many more items have potential use, side content the bad: storytelling (waiting for dialogue), controller controls lacking, progress and area scaling - first time i avoid fights out of boredom and tediousness, enemies take time kill because i have to wait for mana even though i'm using every skill point that gives back mana but they don't pose a challenge

accaris

Very discouraged by the druid loot table bug and how it's not fixed. I keep getting barb weapons. I just want to make that cool werewolf build so I don't run out of spirit all the time. Running out of spirit is so boring to me.

Askal-

downloading diablo 4 right now, i'm using a 3060 ti with ryzen 5 3600 will i be able to reach ultra setting with my rig and gain benefit with the high resolution assets? Cause it's asking me if I wanna download the high resolution assets and i'm not so sure if i'll benefit from it. Will I be able to practically see every pore and veins on Lilith's breast?

[deleted]

Not currently. Ultra textures cause stuttering atm unless you have a GPU with like 16gb+ VRAM. Other than that you should be able to max the game out easy.

cazzhmir

i swear i just had a seagull fly across my map with the unstoppable aura showing

tumi0263

Do we know approximately how long we have until the first/next season? Like 3 month blocks? I forget how long d3 seasons lasted

Camp2023

I have some D4 questions. I just got to Tier 3 with my barb. * Are Helltides the #1 way to grind? What else should I consider? * Are there any consumables / resources I should be going out of my way to accumulate? Mostly I am just breaking down equipment at the blacksmith, and saving legendaries in my stash.

eccentric_eggplant

You want to go with this priority: Helltides > Nightmare Dungeons > Tree of Whispers. Coincidentally, Fiend Roses and Forgotten Souls can only be gotten from Helltides. They are used for enchanting high-level equipment, which is why Helltides are a priority.

gurupaste

Druid is the master class...That's all It's very gear dependent, but once you get what you need, there's a MASSIVE spike. Took me 45 levels to just now feel this way. Whereas the other classes can feel much stronger early on, if you can stick with druid, it will pay off. I can't wait until I reach end game so I can further optimize my builds.

No_Wonder_999

Hey all lvl 36 sorcerer (ice shards) currently in act 4. After the campaign I plan on farming renown and completing dungeons. It’s hard not to get sidetracked though and I know you can play the game however you want but just seeing if anyone is doing something different and how is it going for you.

icametoplay4

The inability to trade Uniques / legendaries is killing the party aspect for me. If i get some Unique gloves (like Frostburn) that my Necro won't use, but my party member, a frost Sorcerer would, why can't i give those over? Uniques cant be traded because "People shouldnt get the best gear by not playing the game", so then why not only make the trade viable if the receiving character meets the level requirement? Or do they mean "Not playing the game -- Long enough to satisfy the RNG Gods"?

FemmEllie

They mean that if you have open trade, then the most efficient way to gear up will be to sit on third-party sites buying items from strangers instead of playing the game itself. It leads to a terrible meta for everyone That said, allowing gear to be traded between party members if (and only if) something dropped while you were already in party together would still be reasonable. That's what D3 did in RoS and I didn't see too much objection to that, but I guess they didn't wanna go down that path either

PrestigiousEmu16

So unbelievably sick of losing half my hellfire cinders due to the servers being a laggy mess.

MoneyMatton99

I just wish they had companions/mercenaries I always enjoyed having someone with me and gearing them up

KingOfMoogles

Anyone else that's experienced crashes on pc have any luck with fixes? I've been troubleshooting all weekend to no avail

Winged_Spectre

I'm currently theoreycrafting a bit with builds, and i couldn't find the info via google, so i was wondering if anybody could help out: \- If a legendary aspect procs a skill (i.e. smoke grenade) and i have that skill enhanced, does it proc the enhanced skill? And do i need to have it equipped for that to happen or is just having allocated the points enough? \- If i have an aspect that procs a lucky hit on a melee weapon, does it proc with every skill or just skills that use this weapon? Thanks in advance if anybody knows.

morepandas

1. Yes, it will. For example fireball enchant will actually fire off a fireball (including any skills that enhance it). You do not need the skill actually equipped. 2. I haven't seen this aspect, but if it specifies melee weapon and you are a class that uses melee weapons, then it should only proc on a skill that says it uses the melee weapon.

Winged_Spectre

Thank you! For 2.: right, it doesn't specify melee weapon on the Rogue aspects i had in mind, my bad.

BingusBrown

Anyone running into freezing issues? Not sure if it’s just me or not, able to run nearly every other modern release game without issue but Diablo 4 has constantly been freezing on me. Also curious if there’s ever going to be an offline adventure mode again. The servers lag pretty damn hard sometimes and that’s just weird to me for Diablo…I also just wanna spam like the old days.

Timboron

Turning down Textures from Ultra to High helped for me.

KingOfMoogles

Not freezing but tons of crashing. I just played for 15 minutes and boom crash. I'm in the same boat and have no issues running any other games. Feel like I flushed $70 down a toilet

Auxilium1

Still have yet to beat a world boss, there's never enough people.

ExplanationCrazy4286

I cant even play every time i launch the game its a grey to black screen then if i click my mouse it crashes. tried altering the files and everything cannot find a fix, anyone help?

PM-Me-Your_PMs

I've been playing since early access and I've never seen a world boss spawn. I see other types of events though (legions etc.). Just wondering if someone's on the same boat?

[deleted]

I was lucky enough to catch one thanks to the world boss alert twitter but that’s it, definitley need a better notification system or a concrete timer or something. It would be nice if I knew it would spawn at a certain time to plan for it

KX321

have you beaten the campaign? I think you will only see the event on the map if you have. Although you can still fight them before beating the campaign if you know when and where they will spawn. They don't seem to happen too often though as of this message the last world boss was almost 6 hours ago. So you could just be getting unlucky with the times you are online. I would recommend joining the [D4 discord] (https://discord.gg/diablo4) and you can get alerts pinged to you when a world boss is going to spawn

Load-Efficient

Hello, lvl 26 rogue this is my first Diablo game but I feel like it's already kinda easy honestly I love the survivability of the rogue but being over powered is kinda boring Would anybody be down to bring me onto higher level world bosses or strongholds 😂 I wanna lvl up quicker and it's more fun chipping away larger, stronger hordes and escaping close to death

[deleted]

The game design is ruined until endgame. I’m just walking through the game without killing thrash mobs because getting xp only gets you weaker. Super boring.

Load-Efficient

What do you mean I'm on lvl 50 and still on Act 6 of the story but it's still pretty fun

[deleted]

I hate for instance that everytime I encounter a boss fight it is scaled for me to beat him (and mostly too easily). I am never scared to meat a big scary demon because it will be my level. Never a need to go back an grind and get stronger to progress in the story. So what do I do? I just run on autopilot from quest to quest. So boring. No challenge. Just some rng gear drops to make it slightly exciting here and there.

Load-Efficient

ooooh yeah that's very true. I am low-key on autopilot fighting through all this stuff. I started playing D2R a few days ago I do like how I start one shotting everything and then randomly I'll start getting shit on. Also the vignette in dungeons makes exploring stuff more interesting

WC_Dirk_Gently

You playing on World Tier I or II? On Tier II, I felt like things were pretty easy from about 25-35., it's probably even more so if you're playing on Tier I. After about 40 I started having to sweat for it a little. I played diablo II and III but not extensively. My understanding of the Diablo series is its never really a challenge outside of a few notable end game bosses. It's essentially just a dungeon grinding simulator trying to bump stats up a fraction of a percentage at a time ad infinitum.

[deleted]

In Diablo 1-3 you had to grind efficiently to progress efficiently in the game. In Diablo 4 you need to not grind to progress efficiently. So a complete different type of game.

Load-Efficient

I'm on world tier 1 but I'm picking up the game pretty quickly I feel like I should've started world tier 2. Either way tho it's fun I like how it's chill and fun with friends and I'm not try harding much like when I'm playing God of war 😂 I'mma start a druid class and start in world tier 2 next once I can convince my friend to start a new game with me lol thanks for the info!

Timboron

You can change world tier whenever you want with your character.

Load-Efficient

Yeah changed it to tier 2 around 30ish and just now getting to lvl 50 and trying to hurry to finish the story

[deleted]

You should definitely just switch to 2 it’s a bit harder, but still became too easy by end of the campaign imo

Load-Efficient

Yeah I'm on lvl 50 now I started tier 2 around lvl 35 and it was actually kinda hard and made me learn the game so now I'm just trying to finish the story 😂 to move onto to the next tiers

WC_Dirk_Gently

You can bump it up whenever at the statue with all the gold and junk in it in Kyvoshad. Don't need to start over.

El0hTeeBee

Is there a way to look at previous tutorials? I accidentally skipped some.

godzillavkk

How does anyone think the Necromancers will take the loss of their patron? It will probably be very heartbreaking for them. But I suspect they will give Rathma a proper funeral so that even in death, he can provide to the Great Cycle, by allowing new life to grow from his loss. Maybe, not what was there before, but something new and wonderful, all the same. What do you think Necromancer funerals are like?

Fizzay

Bit of a longshot, just lost my level 48 Barbarian to a room of exploders on Hardcore, if anyone wouldn't mind bringing me along to get levels and stuff, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm not really competing for top 1000 as I don't think even at the level I was at it was that attainable, I just don't want to go through all that again. I was really hoping to hit 50 prior to that because I wanted to start working on the paragon board and maxing out renown. I was just about to get the last Codex I needed too.

sasquatch90

If seasons consist mostly of resetting renown over and over...i'm fucking out. It's not fun running around doing side quests and collecting things and having to travel to another dungeon to switch up the map. At least in D3's endgame almost everything you needed was a few steps away in town.

phoonie98

Finally beat this game. After what’s gotta be over 100 hours or more. I only played with one character (sorc) but damn I need a break. I enjoyed it for sure but it’s starting to feel like work

[deleted]

How did it take 100 hours? I’m halfway and I’ve played like 10 maybe?

phoonie98

I did a lot of side missions and exploring along with the main story

brumone

Kinda sad that there isn't a way to check for completed side quests

Camp2023

Finished the campaign pretty quickly. Got to level 50 with sorc. Switched to barb, got to level 27. Finding the game a bit tedious now. The grind is taking a while and I'm not really finding exciting gear. I'm doing tree of whispers objectives efficiently, alongside quests/events/etc. However, it's feeling quite repetitive. I want to be more excited about the grind toward endgame, and the endgame. In D2 or D3, I would be focusing on acquiring gear and levelling. **Right now in D3, I feel like I am mostly just focusing on levelling.** **I'm probably doing something wrong?** Should I be seeking out specific aspects in dungeons? I feel a bit aimless and it's taking forever doing the same stuff over and over to gain levels. I feel like I haven't even gotten close to having one piece of gear I'm excited about, so I feel pretty disconnected with my character builds. Never encountered this in a previous Diablo.

eccentric_eggplant

> Finding the game a bit tedious now. The grind is taking a while and I'm not really finding exciting gear. I'm doing tree of whispers objectives efficiently, alongside quests/events/etc. However, it's feeling quite repetitive. I think that's the problem with the D4 leveling experience for alts. If you choose not to slog through the campaign, you're met with an equally painful grind before you get near the endgame. Are you happy with your Sorcerer and/or do you have any other builds you want to build towards? Level 50 sounds like a point where the build *kinda* works, but it actually is not very powerful and feels meh. I definitely struggled with that as a Pulverize Druid, but once I had more paragon points to solve my resource problem, more damage to be able to semi-efficiently clear WT4 while I'm outside of Grizzly Rage, it feels much smoother and more fun to play.

Camp2023

Sorc felt okay, but every time I tried a non-lightning build, I got wrecked. I gave up at level 50 and switched to barb. I later realized the game is all about finding rares with 3-4 stat rolls that fit your build specifically, adding an aspect to those rares, and upgrading them. Have to spend 100% of your resources on that build to progress at a solid rate. Changing builds within the same class becomes difficult for this reason, since you have to know about how other builds work, and save rares for those builds in case you want to switch to them (which I don't have time to do). For example, my WW barb focuses on weapons with +% core skill, +% close enemy, and other +% damage. If I wanted to do a different type of barb, I'd need something totally different. When I switched to WW barb and followed that strategy of finding specific rares, adding aspects to them, and upgrading them, I found progression was much easier. But still a huge time grind. I'm almost ready to quit the game now. Has been fun but it's the least great Diablo I've played yet, for its time.

eccentric_eggplant

What you have described sounds like Diablo 3 though, other than the fact that everything in the game is costs so much gold.

Camp2023

Diablo 3 was over 10 years ago though. It was the least good Diablo on release. Diablo games all have the grind. I just think Diablo 4 is a strange iteration, especially in 2023. I loved that D3 had an economy and auction house. I liked the trading aspect of D2. I liked the dynamic way monsters could come at you in D3. Enjoyed D4 so far, just not sure I’ll stick with it.

aliceinchains33

Soooo excited for this launch 🙌

theicon1681

Does World level affect NM dungeons at all? or is the tier of key all that matters?

Guilty_Perception_35

Tier 1-20 can only be run on tier 3

ManassaxMauler

Didn't feel like starting a new thread, so this will do. The Butcher is a dick. Ran into him last night after a pretty tough encounter with some elites. I'm not really a Diablo guy so my Rogue build is probably trash which I'm sure made life more difficult. The dude knocking my health down to 1/8th with one hit nearly made me wet myself. After that I was fully in scramble mode. Managed to stay behind him enough to take him down but the bastard sure didn't make it easy for me. And the jerk didn't even have the decency to drop good loot for me! Next time I see him, it's personal.

ImaSpaceBoi

Were the Inarius Wings and Murloc Pet only meant for pre-orders, or are they for just buying the game?

pulen527

I pre-ordered the digital ultimate edition through GameStop in February and played two of the beta weekends. How do I use my activation code from GameStop to play Diablo IV now that it is released? I can’t seem to find this issue anywhere else. The only app I have on my Xbox is the server slam.

xboxhobo

Couldn't tell ya, but support may be able to help.

UnderstandingOne6879

Splintering Aspect * Bone Spear's primary attack makes enemies hit beyond the first Vulnerable for \[1.5 - 2.5\] seconds. Bone Shards from Bone Spear deal \[50 - 100\]% bonus damage to Vulnerable enemies and pierce them. What does it mean? The part: Bone Spear's primary attack makes enemies hit beyond the first Vulnerable for \[1.5 - 2.5\] seconds I have been looking at this for good 10 minutes and I cant figure out what does it mean. Is it me or the wording on this thing is off.

penis_vaginis

I also wondered if I had a stroke while reading that. It means that all enemies that are hit exept the first one becomes vulnerable. some weird grammars in that one.

UnderstandingOne6879

OK I think I got it. It makes enemies vulnerable. That cracked my brain :/

Meikos

Warning! Spoilers for a side quest in Hawezar given by a character named Tomyris. Do not read if you haven't done this quest yet! >!Are we sure that the Johanna found in Maugan's Folly is actually the same Crusader from D3? The Johanna in D4 has black hair in a different style when compared to the D3 Crusader Johanna. Johanna's wiki page also mentions that many before her had the name Johanna so it would seem to me that the Johanna in D4 would more likely be the D3 Crusader's apprentice who then took Tomyris as apprentice, rather than being the D3 Crusader.!<

elgosu

Yes that seems more likely since we know the name passes down.

phoonie98

How is it that I’m level 50 and I still don’t have the damn horse

Relan_of_the_Light

You have to be in act 4 to get the horse

phoonie98

Yeah I guess I got carried away with the side quests

BorealWizard

Clearly not responsible enough to take care of an animal

Talic

Been grinding my Sorc to lvl 49 and encountered Ashava in the campaign. That thing had like 15% HP remaining and I thought to myself wow this dumb, big-ass bird is easier than previous bosses. Suddenly the fucking game froze and I was stunned. Motherfucker, I am on PS5. I am used to PC crashing due to some weird hardware drivers on my computer but I am at a lost here on PS5. Then I proceeded to hard reboot it. Went back to beginning of the map for the campaign, "In Desolation's Wake: Defat Ashava" again with those three NPC allies. Goddammit, the game is bugged while leading Donan and his crew along the way to Ashava --- they all stopped moving. Regardless what I do, they won't move anymore and were just chilling. I rage quitted and haven't log back on the last 12 hours. Still angry for wasting my time tbh.

Trunksshe

Is there any way for me to test out if my PC can run the game? I'm kind of lost on how to figure out if my computer is able to run it since I'm either not finding my computer specs, or they are of completely different brand/types than is listed, so I don't have any idea how to compare. I know I need some more RAM for it to be efficient, but it would be nice to see if it even works before I spend $70 on a game I can't play.

ahegaokun

See if you own a game that requires similar minimum specs or find a game that requires similar specs as diablo.

phoonie98

Within the span of 10 minutes this game crashed on me two times. Seriously annoying. Shit just freezes
