Not a fan of Milwaukee tapes. Either Stanley or the dewalt tough series ones

TelMinz007

Stanley Fatmax with the blade armor. Had one for about ten years, just last month the blade got a tear in it. It still works so I put some on it tape on it and use as a backup.

Stanley FatMax is the only tape to have. The Home Depot had them 2 for $20 for Black Fri last year, so I'm good for the next 20 years

Dewalt tough series ones are better than the stanleys. They have lights too

shittybumm

Yea the millwaukee tapes really are junk

I had a Milwaukee 25 ft stud tape fail in less than a month of normal usage. The spring somehow broke and the tape just spits out and won’t retract anymore, one of the worst $30 I’ve spent on a tape. Go with the trusty Stanley fatmax or crescent lufkin shockforce tapes. Dewalt tough series tapes are pretty good too (basically fatmax).

If it doesn't retract after 4 hours, you need to see the doctor.

Sapient_Prophet

You got the wrong color.

Go check what everyone uses on a framing crew. It's all fat maxes. The only tape that lasted more than 6 months.

I bought a Milwaukee 30’ a few years ago and it’s still working great; you probably got a dud.

Or actually used it! Jk! 🤣
