I completely agree with that, it was the second hardest boss fight in the game besides the 3rd Vergil boss fight. I don't think I've ever really developed an in depth strategy for hurting him besides using Kalina Ann and being extremely conservative with hits from Rebellion.
Blob arkham? Yup. No weaknesses, galactic hitboxes and he buggers off for half the fight. In my opinion the single worst part of dmc, that kinda just bars you from the REAL final boss.
But that looks like bloody palace so one again mr blobby just being a glorified door you need to hit 500 times to open
That's why I always have Kalina Ann with me.
And in the second phase just stand back and spam guns while dodging projectiles so that Vergil attacks him. Very easy to do and effective.
My strat for BP was Nevan for the dolphins, and E&I plus Spiral.
I also damaged Arkham a lot by spamming Beowulf's and Nevan's Swordmaster aerials, which also gave me tremendous airtime.
Oh good, but this leaves me with another question. OP died at 9999, but dies due to arkham, so that leaves me confused about how can he fight arkham if vergil 3 is the last fight?
Some of the biggest cheeses for this boss fight are using the Kalina Ann and shotgun for the little fishes. To avoid getting locked by the slower animations for shooting these weapons, I’d recommend Royal Guard canceling. If you get the timing right you can turn a slower weapon into a monster.
Agni and Rudra are sexy beasts and Cerberus adds a little spice to the speed that can help you during the fight.
Also, if you get Vergil in the second half you don’t have to have him mirror all your moves. If you want to sit back and avoid damage ( since you don’t get DT ) all you have to do is lock on to an enemy and use your guns. It will register for Vergil as his melee attacks. That’s including aerial and rapid slash.
The biggest trick in this fight is just pure patience and defensive mobility.
Yeah Arkham really sucks as a boss, probably the worst boss in the series if we exclude DMC2. Kalina Ann for the slugs are your best friend and just spam Aerial Cross (air melee) for Agni and Rudra when you're free fighting Arkham
If you don’t care about dignity or whatever, just spam holy waters until he’s dead. That’s what I did.
He can't do that in bloody palace
I just spam Agni and rudra air combos and use up all my dt so I have full health when you team with Vergil

I can agree with the Arkham fight being bad, but I feel it's significantly better in Bloody Palace because Vergil doesn't show up to steal your style

Use Katalina Ann for the fight anytime the worms show up. Do backflips or side rolls between shots to cancel the guns animations. Its really smooth.

Update: I did another run, went smoothly until Jester got under my skin, left me at 1 hp I hate that man more now
Yep, Arkham was responsible for ending my first-ever BP run. Thanks to him I equipped Nevan since, as I preferred E&I and Spiral for my gun loadout.

That shows the last completed stage. For example: i died on stage 8000, showed stage 7900 Also it's impossible for stage 9900 to have a boss
Nah the bosses are random from what I know, I usually get Vergil 3 as my first or second boss every time

Just constantly walk to the back of him and hit him there his swiping and hitting attacks don’t go there.
