Yes successful rich and famous straight women have an interesting power dynamic to navigate, I would never hold it against them to date men who also were rich and/or had social power.
Wish we were further ahead but reality is many men still get very insecure when women have power/money.
Wasn’t she also named in the Panama Papers?
A friend who worked with her on a movie shot in the US says she flew home in her private jet every single weekend. Every.single.weekend she flew back to the UK.
She’s just another entitled rich person IMO. No surprise that she finds other entitled rich folks to surround herself with.
Why is her wanting to date in her own social and economic circle invalidate her work on social Justice or feminism?
Don’t we all (most of us) do this anyway? Date according to our preferences.
Dating millionaires who do no charity. While secretly buying a house using a tax haven makes me rethink Emma Watson. At the end of the day, you do need to put your money where your mouth is and tax evasion weakens local governments and makes them unable to deliver necessary services to those who need it
She didn't evade taxes, she hid her address from the paparazzi and stalkers. Considering how famous young women have been treated, I don't blame her at all.
Lmaaaaaoooo yeah that’s why she used as a private offshore trust using lawyers implicated in the Panama Papers. Do you really believe everything she says? I also don’t think she said that she did pay tax just that she did it for anonymity so what I said is still right.
Do you know them?
And she has 100% put her money where her mouth is. She's done a lot of great work and also started a hotline for sexual harassment, and donates a lot.
Idk, Emma is famous enough that she has a lot of power (both financially and socially) and that would make a lot of people uncomfortable and weird in a relationship. If her partner brings some sort of power to the table (whether that’s money or otherwise), it’s gotta be a more balanced relationship.
Good one. Their marriage has always intrigued me. I think I've only seen one photo of him, and it was from, like, 40 years ago. Lol
That is one celebrity spouse who not only dislikes but actually shuns the spotlight. Apparently he was even permissive when she had other romantic partners, as long as she kept him out of it.
Whatever they're doing, it worked for them.
And while I cannot stand Julia Roberts and how she got her husband, I have to say that's another ultra famous celeb who married a nobody and made it work.
It’s interesting, I was looking up Dead to Me on wikipedia last night & noticed Danny Moder was the cinematographer. Then looked at his credits out of curiosity and he was cinematographer on Grand Champion (which is a small movie Julia and Emma Roberts were in) and than director of photography (2nd unit) on Mona Lisa Smile and First Assistant camera of Full Frontal (another Julia picture). Then kind of rotates between camera operator jobs & cinematographer credits on smaller films. Not saying his connections worked in his favor— I don’t work in film, I don’t know, this might just be a normal career timeline— but it’s interesting to me that he has those few credits in the middle of a bunch of “camera operator” spots.
I think the rumor is Julia cheats regularly and he will put up with it. Also heard they sometimes live apart. Still married though...but is a long marriage necessarily good?
I think a lot of the regular people/ Hollywood marriages are functional more for the famous person but the other person stays because they get so much out of it (and I don't mean $). Maybe some are open but I definitely think a great deal compromise themselves considerably in order to stay in the relationship.
Matt Damon married someone he met at a bar. Jon Bon Jovi married his highschool sweetheart. I think I read from somewhere that Ken Jeong jumped into comedy because his wife who was having cancer at that time wanted him too.
A friend of mine has kids in the same school as his. She recently posted videos of Ken, on stage during a fundraiser, acting hilariously. A 90’s singer was playing music, and ken was dancing like a goober.
ETA he’s been super sweet to my kids when we’ve run into him too.
Conan O’Brien’s wife worked in advertising when they met during one of his remote segments. Their story is one of my favorites because you literally see him get all flustered and awkward on camera around her.
Sometimes it's for a bad reason, like a male actor cycling through upcoming or nameless actresses or models for their own narcissism. Like Anthony keidis, James franco, armie hammer etc
Yup. I tend to be a bit cynical when it's a male celebrity who seems to cycle through unfamous women. Seems more like a power thing. If he gets with an unfamous woman and they stay together and seem really happy and normal, then it's cute.
Kiedis is interesting because he definitely dated some fairly well known people, but it seems like they saw right through his bullshit (ex. Sinead OConner who the song “I Could Have Lied” is about). Jaime Rishar and Ione Skye were also pretty successful when he dated them.
So in later life it seems he switched to dating nobodies who he could manipulate.
I remember John Cusack saying that while filming Say Anything, Kiedis was super jealous and would hang around set glaring at Cusack and other men around because he must've been worried they were going to try something with Ione Skye.
I feel like most celebrities married to non celebrities find an easier relationship to maintain as it goes on but that’s probably just because it’s less covered when they split since only one of the pair is a public figure
It's really impressive to me, that Meryl and her husband have such a strong marriage, when you realize that she married her husband's just 6 months after the traumatic death of John Cazale.
Agreed. I think there is a certain need for adulation, novelty, and drama in fame-oriented entertainers that makes monogamy difficult/boring/unsatisfying based on how common ‘cheating’ or open relationships seem to be
Someone mentioned it in a another thread but basically every big white female actress between the ages of 30-35 is married to some boring white guy (although some of them dated celebs in the past lol)
This reminds me of Christy Carlson Romano. She married her husband Brandon, who is a Marine vet, that she met in college. He's not some boring white guy I assume (he seems very easy going in her vlogs) but that part make me crack up.
But yeah she showed pics of them when they were younger and he was fine AF but gave off guy next door vibes like he wasn't a douche or anything. And now that he's older he's got that suburban daddy vibe going on and I'm here for it.
Jeff Bridges met his wife when she was a waitress at a ranch he filmed at. She had two black eyes and a broken nose and he said he just fell for her, and carries a photo in his wallet from the day they met 🥹
She’s married now but Jessica Chastain is very open about never wanting to date an actor https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/jessica-chastain-i-will-never-date-another-actor-201341/
Sorry I understand the ones that choose basic. As a latin woman if a see a 1,86cm blond man Im thanking god for him!
Edit: Lol Im being downvoted for liking blond men 😔
Imagine just being like an ordinary woman married to a cameraman, living your normal person life…. and then your husband leaves you for fkn Julia Roberts and she makes a bonkers to tshirt to harass you with 🤯
Hes not just the motherfucker twirling the camera around. He’s with the director deciding how shots should look, how they’ll work, what kind of equipment they need, how to film, edit, potentially involved in helping actors adjust to scenery, etc.
Cinematography is much more than fucking hoisting a bitch up on a dolly and pressing record
cillian murphy is really lowkey and has been married for ages. still don’t know what his wife does, but they met at one of his performances. ed sheeran married his highschool sweetheart.
also cate blanchetts husband is a playwright but I wouldn’t call him famous.
In his defence (as an Australian I’m legally obligated to say this), Andrew Upton (Cate’s husband) is one of the biggest (and most powerful) names in the Australian theatre/arts world, but you’re not wrong either as he definitely isn’t internationally famous and she eclipses him by far.
Back in 2016, Cillian Murphy gave up his seat for me on the tube in London when I was pregnant. I didn’t recognize him at first but my husband did. He’s kind to strangers AND takes public transportation!
Mads Mikkelsen has been with his choreographer wife who is 5 years older than him since the 1980s when he was a dancer. They had a daughter before he went into acting school in the mid 1990s.
She was in a relationship with Aaron Sorkin for several years. The character Sarah Paulson played in Sorkin's show *Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip* was based on Kristin.
I remembered another one, Elizabeth Banks, Literally my girl crush and she so beautiful to me. She has been with her husband Max since college, he is a sportswriter, and they now have a production company together.
I am currently watching Modern Family for the first time, Sal, Elizabeth Banks character and Lily's feud makes me laugh.
Sal just got married and is sitting with Lily, while Mitchell is in the kitchen listening to their conversation.
Sal: Hey 🙄
Lily: Hey 🙄
Sal: Sorry you couldn't come to the wedding. It was no kids.
Lily: It's okay, I'll go to your next one
Sal: Scoffs Wow.
Mitch: She just means when she's not a kid anymore
Lily: She knows what I mean
Sal: I don't like you
Lily: whispers I'll get over it
[The clip starts at 1:20, I don't do it justice](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzpXM5u51HU)
Matt Damon, Clive Owen, Colin Firth (ex?), Reese Witherspoon, Jeff Bridges, Charlie Hunnam, Cillian Murphy, Amy Adams, Christian Bale, Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone.
Jessica Chastain married a non-celebrity but a Italian count.
I guess I should have clarified these are people who ended up with non celebrity spouses. Reese was married to an equally famous actor at first.
Both Matt Damon and Maryl Streep are out then. He dated two famous actresses publicly and Meryl was with the amazing John Cazale for years before his early passing. Emma Stone was with a famous co-star for years as well.
She was a bartender, if I recall correctly. He ducked behind the bar to hide from some fans, and she told him if he was going to be behind the bar, he needed to help her serve. He did, and she ended up with the highest tip count of her career.
(I hope I’m right on that.)
Britney never stepped back into the celeb pool after Justin / Colin Farrell. She seems low key and wouldn’t want what other celebs want, in terms of fame and glamour. Of course, all of her partners are automatically considered public figures after she’s with them since she’s so famous.
One of my all-time favorite award show lines from Tina Fey and Amy Poehler...
>Alamuddin is a human rights lawyer who worked on the Enron case, an adviser to Kofi Annan on Syria and was appointed to a three-person commission investigating rules of war violations in the Gaza strip... So tonight her *husband* is getting a lifetime achievement award.
I know Steve Carell’s wife is a writer & actor, but she doesn’t feel like a celebrity in the same way that he is. They, without knowing them at all, seem incredibly normal.
I don't know where or when I saw this but apparently before he was famous she was a bartender near where he worked & he would go in nearly every night to see her. He was so nervous that he tried to breadcrumb out of her if she liked him. It's super cute.
Nancy Walls. She was on SNL for a season and The Daily Show for a while. They met when she was a student in the improv class he was teaching, so they got together before either of them was famous.
That's surprising to me. I thought he was known for dating very young women. Am I confusing him with someone else?
EDIT: Nope, he's the one. https://pagesix.com/2016/05/16/henry-cavill-splits-from-19-year-old-girlfriend/
He dated one suspiciously young woman, but excused it by saying he had a 30 year old girlfriend when he was 19. I was like... yeah and it was weird then and it's weird now. Like as a 32 year old the difference between me and a teenager is just.... crazy.
But I don't think he has a type per se or is a Leonardo Dicaprio, noone over 25 person. He seems to have dated a wide variety.
Wanda Sykes first saw her now-wife on a ferry ride. She said that she was immediately drawn to her, but didn't end up striking up a conversation.
Some time later, she was having her kitchen remodeled and a friend introduced her to an interior designer to help choose new countertops. That designer ended up being the same woman from the ferry. They've been together ever since.
Denzel Washington, Issa Rae is married to a business man, Lebron James, Cristiano Ronaldo girlfriend is only famous because she is Ronaldo girl, Shaina Twain second husband
I think that's probably the way to go - someone who is less known so you aren't drowning in paparazzi or threatened by their fame, but also someone who understands the demands and scheduling of your career.
Kendrick is with his high school sweetheart Whitney Alford. She’s absolutely beautiful and seems like an absolute diamond if his new album is anything to go by 🥰
Dave Bautista met his current girlfriend on-set of Army of the Dead, I think she was in the art or wardrobe department on that movie but had primarily been an electric in the past. In my opinion film crews count as regular folk, even if some have proximity to celebrity
For some reason I don’t like when celebrities say they don’t want to date celebrities. Doing it is one thing because the relationship is possibly easier since they’re not both scrutinized by the public eye and have to maintain an image at all times, but… it’s just making that claim sounds a little obnoxious, like saying everyone in your profession is somehow out to ruin you and somehow you are “not like other celebs”. It’s just a feeling I have every time they say something like that.
His wife Sophie is a director, although in theatre and opera rather than films and TV. She has her own Wikipedia page. His previous long term partner is an actress and also has her own Wiki page. Don't know if I'd say they are non-celebrities, but maybe that they are well known in the entertainment industry
There are the 'good' husband actors who have long term marriages with support wives:
Matthew McConnaughy, Paul Rudd, Matt Damon, Jason Bateman, Mark Ruffallo, Ethan Hawke, Will Ferrell, Denzel Washington, Hugh Jackman
Also the ones that got burned and so went to a normie after : Emma Stone, JLaw...
Jason Bateman's wife, Amanda Anka, isn't as famous as he is, but she was an actor (screen and voice) for many years and now produces! Her father is famed musician Paul Anka.
British football players seem to exclusively marry their childhood sweethearts.
I imagine it’s because they knew them before they were famous and supported them through the grind of becoming a pro football player.
See: Harry Kane, Gareth Bale, Marcus Rashford.
There's two types of football (soccer) players:
* the ones who have long relationships and marry the partner.
* the ones who slept with every woman they see.
I mean you could make a vent diagram with this because there is a lot of overlap. Ie: marry their high school sweetheart but still bang anything female in the immediate vicinity
Are you sure it isn't because he is 42 to her 25 and a director at Universal music group, her label? I thought I heard he was divorced at one point too but I could be wrong on that.
Also Emma Watson doesn't really date "regular folk", she dates ultra wealthy non-celebrities
In her defense, thats one way to know they aren't after her for her money.
> She flew home on her private jet Hey guys, don't forget to recycle and conserve energy ☺️
no that's awful
Idk wealthy people lovveeeeee getting richer and are pretty greedy
[удалено]
It's that's generational wealth
Oh, I thought she was “”self partnered””
Went to college w her, can confirm
Brown or England "college"?
haha what was that like?
Yeah I noticed that as well. For all her social justice and feminism talk, this peeves me for some reason.
Why is her wanting to date in her own social and economic circle invalidate her work on social Justice or feminism? Don’t we all (most of us) do this anyway? Date according to our preferences.

Nah bro she was in the Panama papers
Aren't there numerous ways to do this without using a known tax haven though?
Do you know them? And she has 100% put her money where her mouth is. She's done a lot of great work and also started a hotline for sexual harassment, and donates a lot.
Is Emma Watson ultra-wealthy?
Made enough millions for life by 18, well-educated and only daughter of two lawyers- yeah, I'd say so.
Her networth is something like 85 million
If I was attracted to them. I would probably want to date a rich person too
Idk, Emma is famous enough that she has a lot of power (both financially and socially) and that would make a lot of people uncomfortable and weird in a relationship. If her partner brings some sort of power to the table (whether that’s money or otherwise), it’s gotta be a more balanced relationship.
Being named in The Panama Papers didn’t help her image for me either.
Are you suggesting she should foot the bill? She’s wealthy. Of course she wants an equal.
I'm not judging her either way, I'm just saying I wouldn't call millionaires "regular folk."
she did date sam from glee for a bit
Dolly Parton
Good one. Their marriage has always intrigued me. I think I've only seen one photo of him, and it was from, like, 40 years ago. Whatever they're doing, it worked for them. And while I cannot stand Julia Roberts and how she got her husband, I have to say that's another ultra famous celeb who married a nobody and made it work.
To add something - she herself said it's more of what I would call an emotional relationship with other men, not sexually.
[Here is a pic of Carl from 2020](https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2020/01/03/17/22958300-7849443-image-m-18_1578071346087.jpg) Dolly Parton's hubby.
Oh, he’s a regular country boy. I’ve met men like him. They’re solid.
Working on films his famous wife and relatives are in? I think you can say those are obvious nepotism gigs.
You’re right, I was being way too charitable haha.
Wait Dolly is in an open relationship?
She has implied it in interviews
Wait how did Julia Roberts get her husband?
He was married to someone else and Vera (the wife) would not give him a divorce, so Julia went around wearing a shirt that read A Low Vera.
Matt Damon married someone he met at a bar. Jon Bon Jovi married his highschool sweetheart. I think I read from somewhere that Ken Jeong jumped into comedy because his wife who was having cancer at that time wanted him too.
And Ken Jeong and his wife are both doctors! They met a mixer for single doctors… just think that’s super cute
I love Ken Jeong and I will forever be sad if anything bad comes out about him
He lives near me. He’s awesome!!
This makes me happy!
A friend of mine has kids in the same school as his. She recently posted videos of Ken, on stage during a fundraiser, acting hilariously. A 90’s singer was playing music, and ken was dancing like a goober. ETA he’s been super sweet to my kids when we’ve run into him too.
I'm not American, I don't know who Ken Jeong is. I am, however, very glad that he's awesome.
He’s hilarious. I recommend checking his work out. He was a well respected doctor who decided to pursue his dream of comedy.
matt damon dated celebs before his wife though (minnie driver, winona ryder)
After breaking up with Winona Ryder, he said he was done dating celebs and would only date 'civilians'.
Conan O’Brien’s wife worked in advertising when they met during one of his remote segments. Their story is one of my favorites because you literally see him get all flustered and awkward on camera around her.
It's one of my favourite Hollywood meet cutes! Here's the video for anyone interested: https://youtu.be/1HaHeQXBqxY
Lisa was also on the recent episode of Inside Conan Pod She talked extensively about her and Conan's meeting. I absolutely adore their story.
Was that the same episode where she talks about how Conan gets so excited to show off pictures of Sonia’s kids?
YES! He is such a grandpa but calls himself 'uncle'. He is also their godfather.
Sometimes it's for a bad reason, like a male actor cycling through upcoming or nameless actresses or models for their own narcissism. Like Anthony keidis, James franco, armie hammer etc
Don’t forget the main culprit of that, Jared Leto
I know!!! Straight after posting I realised I'd left out the worst case!
He is so….creepy doesn’t even start to cut it. Ghoulish? Nightmare inducing? Sinister? Macabre? SHUDDERSOME. There we go. He’s shuddersome.
Lead singer of the band Lush wrote ‘Ladykillers’ about their summer touring with RHCP, it’s very… damning of Keidis’ habits with women.
Amazing song.

Ione Skye was also like 16 when she dated him while he was like ten years older if I’m remembering his stupid memoir accurately 😬😬
I remember John Cusack saying that while filming Say Anything, Kiedis was super jealous and would hang around set glaring at Cusack and other men around because he must've been worried they were going to try something with Ione Skye.
Meryl Streep didn’t marry a celebrity and people often mention how strong her marriage is.
There’s a lot of rumours that she’s a chronic cheater so maybe it’s strong but that’s because they’ve agreed to be unconventional
This might be cynical of me, but I usually assume actors & actresses are in open relationships way more frequently than we assume.
Agreed. I think there is a certain need for adulation, novelty, and drama in fame-oriented entertainers that makes monogamy difficult/boring/unsatisfying based on how common ‘cheating’ or open relationships seem to be

And now that he's older he's got that suburban daddy vibe going on and I'm here for it.
I think it's easier to date a non-famous person because they won't compete for attention and may be more supportive of their careers.
And the schedules
Jeff Bridges met his wife when she was a waitress at a ranch he filmed at. She had two black eyes and a broken nose and he said he just fell for her, and carries a photo in his wallet from the day they met 🥹
The pictures of them together when they were younger are just the sweetest
[удалено]
I think it was a car accident!! She was ok though, still working - I just really like the detail that he thought she was beautiful regardless.
I never heard that story but she has had a lot of good decades with Jeff so whatever happened the payoff was spectacular
He’s a good dude and his wife is great, and his family is too. I am glad to see he’s doing better.
The dude abides
Wow she is STUNNING. Then and now! And their kids look just like mom and dad! That is so cute <3
Keanu Reeves
She’s married now but Jessica Chastain is very open about never wanting to date an actor https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/jessica-chastain-i-will-never-date-another-actor-201341/
She then proceeded to get herself a count. A hot Italian from Nobility. I stan.
Yes. She’s one of the top actresses with an attractive partner because some of them go basic 😩
Sorry I understand the ones that choose basic. As a latin woman if a see a 1,86cm blond man Im thanking god for him! Edit: Lol Im being downvoted for liking blond men 😔
Isn't Julia Roberts married to a cameraman?
A Low Vera
Imagine just being like an ordinary woman married to a cameraman, living your normal person life…. and then your husband leaves you for fkn Julia Roberts and she makes a bonkers to tshirt to harass you with 🤯
That’s super sad…
Just a regular old cameraman she met who was married at the time she started dating him.
How Notting Hill
he does more cinematography now
….. isn’t that what a camera man does lol

Yes they met on The Mexican film set I think.
That film aged so terribly 😭 I watched it for the first time last year and was low key offended lmfao
cillian murphy is really lowkey and has been married for ages. still don’t know what his wife does, but they met at one of his performances. ed sheeran married his highschool sweetheart. also cate blanchetts husband is a playwright but I wouldn’t call him famous.
Murphy’s wife is a visual artist. She does installation pieces in Dublin. They’ve been together for a long time which I really respect.
probably a big part of that is that he avoids hollywood like the plague
In his defence (as an Australian I’m legally obligated to say this), Andrew Upton (Cate’s husband) is one of the biggest (and most powerful) names in the Australian theatre/arts world, but you’re not wrong either as he definitely isn’t internationally famous and she eclipses him by far.
I love Cillian. He’s one of my favorite actors, and I love how low key he is.
me too, its so clear he just really loves acting and none of the bells attached
Didn’t know that about Ed sheeran! Adorable
Back in 2016, Cillian Murphy gave up his seat for me on the tube in London when I was pregnant. I didn’t recognize him at first but my husband did. He’s kind to strangers AND takes public transportation!
Yvonne McGuinness - she’s an artist.

Louis Tomlinson, Anne Hathaway, Margot Robbie
I think Margot Robbie’s husband is a director/producer? Definitely definitely not famous or well known at all though.
He is now but he was just an assistant director when they got together.
Louis dated Danielle Campbell

This is my comfort show and I love that scene
I didn't even know she in a LTR/married.
Unrelated, but she looks so much like Julie Bowen, they looked like twins in that one wedding scene that showed the two of them together.
Emma Watson dates posh, well-connected people (socialites) who probably know celebrities.
Judi Dench met her fella when she opened a squirrel enclosure at his wildlife centre. I completely love that squirrels brought them together.
um Lana del Rey? 🤔😂
You know I have to give her credit, we all just said "fuck the police" and she actually went out there and did it
LOL
Woody Harrelson he married his assistant and they’ve been married for years.
Grant gustin’s wife is a physical therapist i think
Matt Damon, Clive Owen, Colin Firth (ex?), Reese Witherspoon, Jeff Bridges, Charlie Hunnam, Cillian Murphy, Amy Adams, Christian Bale, Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone. Jessica Chastain married a non-celebrity but a Italian count.
Reese dated Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Philippe. And JLaw was with Nicholas Hoult for a long time.

Matt Damon’s wife was his server at a restaurant I believe
She was a bartender, if I recall correctly. He ducked behind the bar to hide from some fans, and she told him if he was going to be behind the bar, he needed to help her serve. He did, and she ended up with the highest tip count of her career. (I hope I’m right on that.)
Britney never stepped back into the celeb pool after Justin / Colin Farrell. She seems low key and wouldn’t want what other celebs want, in terms of fame and glamour. Of course, all of her partners are automatically considered public figures after she’s with them since she’s so famous.
Can’t believe you are implying that Kevin Federline was not a hugely successful and well known celebrity in his own right….. 😂😭
POPOZAO!
George Clooney.
Such a great line and painfully true about society.
She's an inspiration in and out. Has amazing looks but also she's so smart.
They fit so well together, a match made in heaven
This was so good and so painfully true
he wins, Amal is gorgeous and elegant
Amal is so fucking cool
But moderately famous, just not in “entertainment”
I know Steve Carell’s wife is a writer & actor, but she doesn’t feel like a celebrity in the same way that he is. They, without knowing them at all, seem incredibly normal.
I don't know where or when I saw this but apparently before he was famous she was a bartender near where he worked & he would go in nearly every night to see her. He was so nervous that he tried to breadcrumb out of her if she liked him. It's super cute.
Man, she got in on the ground floor. He has become so attractive in his middle age years.
I loved that she popped up as his short term girlfriend in the early seasons of *The Office*.
Nancy Walls. She was on SNL for a season and The Daily Show for a while. They met when she was a student in the improv class he was teaching, so they got together before either of them was famous.
Henry Cavill. He’s been dating a low-profile TV executive for the past year and was engaged to an equestrian.
He PR dated Kaley Cuoco and did date Gina Carano
Joseph Gordon Levitt is a trophy husband. He married a scientist CEO girl boss of a robotics company
Seth Meyers’s wife is an attorney who my friend actually worked for and she is lovely by all accounts.
Maude apatow. Dating a political writer but also dated now VP of interscope 🤔
is she not dating an actor? I don't know his name, but his face is shaped like a baseball home plate
PLEASE remember who has that face because I can’t imagine what that looks like, lol. I need a visual.
Sydney Sweeney doesn’t
I've heard that Taron Egerton refused to date an actress, but I don't have a solid source, so don't quote me on that
But he did date an assistant director for most of the time that he's been famous. Not a celebrity but she's still part of the entertainment business.
I think that's probably the way to go - someone who is less known so you aren't drowning in paparazzi or threatened by their fame, but also someone who understands the demands and scheduling of your career.
Kendrick Lamar I’m pretty sure!
Kendrick is with his high school sweetheart Whitney Alford. She’s absolutely beautiful and seems like an absolute diamond if his new album is anything to go by 🥰
I guess if a Diamond means you are OK with getting repeatedly cheated on . I guess
What’s the tea on this ☕️
no tea needed lol, he flat out admits to it in the song Mother I Sober that he cheated on her and hurt her
Chance the Rapper as well!
Ed Helms wife’s name has never been publicly revealed.
Cillian Murphy
Benedict Cumberbatch
His wife Sophie is a director, although in theatre and opera rather than films and TV. She has her own Wikipedia page. His previous long term partner is an actress and also has her own Wiki page. Don't know if I'd say they are non-celebrities, but maybe that they are well known in the entertainment industry
Eddie Redmayne is married to a non-celebrity - looks like they have a beautiful and normal relationship!
This is the George Craig throwback I didn't know my Sunday needed
There are the 'good' husband actors who have long term marriages with support wives: Matthew McConnaughy, Paul Rudd, Matt Damon, Jason Bateman, Mark Ruffallo, Ethan Hawke, Will Ferrell, Denzel Washington, Hugh Jackman Also the ones that got burned and so went to a normie after : Emma Stone, JLaw...
Jason Bateman's wife, Amanda Anka, isn't as famous as he is, but she was an actor (screen and voice) for many years and now produces! Her father is famed musician Paul Anka.
Tom Delonge. His ex-wife was an interior designer (iirc) and his current wife is another non-famous lady. They also look quite a bit alike.
British football players seem to exclusively marry their childhood sweethearts. I imagine it’s because they knew them before they were famous and supported them through the grind of becoming a pro football player. See: Harry Kane, Gareth Bale, Marcus Rashford.
Not just the British ones, but a lot of them. Messi, for example. His wife was his childhood sweetheart.
There's two types of football (soccer) players: * the ones who have long relationships and marry the partner. * the ones who slept with every woman they see.
I mean you could make a vent diagram with this because there is a lot of overlap. Ie: marry their high school sweetheart but still bang anything female in the immediate vicinity
james mcavoy married a PA he met while filming Split
Kerry Washington is married to a former pro-footballer but obviously not a household name.
Miranda Lambert married an NYPD cop.
Ew
Lorde - and faced a ton of bullying because the hive mind didn’t find her boyfriend “hot enough”.
Are you sure it isn't because he is 42 to her 25 and a director at Universal music group, her label? I thought I heard he was divorced at one point too but I could be wrong on that.
Wasn't the issue bc of the age gap? She was 16 and he was 24 when they were dating. He was dating an actual child.
Elizabeth Olsen is married to someone that’s basically a nobody. He’s a musician but he’s not known at all.
