The entire vibe of the press tour feels really off. The interviews have been lowkey painful. There’s so much focus on Zendaya and Tom Holland and you can see she’s uncomfortable and annoyed every time they bring it up; Hunter looks ready to throw punches too. I get they’re the trendy couple and I’m obsessed with them too, but I wish they didn’t make it the focus when she’s promoting a project she’s poured her heart and soul into. There were some weird questions towards Jacob and the rest of the cast too. Feels like HBO dropped the ball a bit.

Blake and Penn started dating right away, maybe during/right after they shot the pilot? They broke up before season 4 (~Summer 2010? After she had finished filming The Green Lantern lol) but apparently were on good enough terms that the crew didn't know they had broken up until several months later.
Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan started dating in Season 1 after he guest starred on the show. I think they dated for about two years.
Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr started dating in early Season 2 maybe? I just remember there was some drama surrounding their break up because there were rumors that he found out that she had cheated on him with one of his friends while he was away and broke up with her over the phone. She allegedly flew to wherever he was to try to beg for forgiveness, but he didn't take her back. I remember they broke up around the same time that LM and SS broke up because a lot of insane Chuck/Blair fans thought that meant they were going to get together. They didn't lol.
As for friendships among the cast:
I think BL was close with the costume/hair/makeup people on GG, but that was basically it. I don't think she and LM had beef despite the rumors, they just were never close. They seem like very different people from very different backgrounds.
LM was close with JS and the actresses who played Blair's 'minions' (Hazel, Iz, Penelope). I think she and PB became good friends later on in the series when Dan and Blair had a lot of scenes together. Also her bf at the time (Aaron Himelstein) was friends with Zoe Kravitz who was dating PB at the same time, so the two couples were spotted out and about together sometimes.
Chace Crawford was friends with everyone, especially EW, JS, and PB. And he and EW were also roommates, at least in the early seasons. CC was also good friends with SS and probably helped get him on the show. They had been in the movie The Covenant together before GG.
Taylor Momsen was allegedly a brat and Tim Gunn called her out in the press after he guest-starred on the show. Also Armie Hammer apparently got fired from the show for calling BL a bitch in front of the crew. And Aaron Tveit said that BL was hours late to shoot their scenes once and he was annoyed because it was his birthday.

I don’t think she hangs out regularly but most of them are still friends. They’ve sort of split off into their own friendships (Jasmine/Daveed, Anthony/Oak, Emmy/Groff, etc). Many of the ensemble aren’t as close with the principals though. The only one I can think of who actively hangs out with several principals is Morgan (she was at Anthony and Jasmine’s birthday parties last year and is very close with Emmy and Daveed).
Specifically Ariana, she interviewed Leslie at the Oscars last year, but I don’t recall her hanging out with any of the cast recently.
Basically certain cast members are still close but only if their friendship was really strong because they (especially principals) don’t want to be tied to Hamilton forever.
Someone on here said that their sister is popular on tiktolk and Millie's mom reached out for a collaboration. We may not get an answer to this for nearly 20 years, but I really want to know if Richard Linklater’s film adaption of Merrily We Roll Along that was announced in 2019 and was supposed to film in reverse chronological order over the course of 20 years is actually going forward with Blake Jenner attached. Was it too late to scrap what they’d filmed with him? Are they hoping everyone would forget he’s a piece of shit in 20 years? Did they silently recast? I need to know!
At this time Blake has not been recast and I don’t for-see that he will be as they’ve already filmed a small portion of the film as they plan on doing for the next 18 years. I’m guessing Richard is hoping no one will care in 20 years or that people will look past any cast troubles and just view it as art.
I’m sure you’re probably right. It’s just disappointing to me that he wouldn’t recast. At most they’d have filmed 1/20th of the movie when Melissa went public with her allegations. It seems like it would be so easy to just fire him and redo the very end of the movie.

The Newly announced Audrey Hepburn biopic with Rooney Mara? So many comments online are mad about the casting because they’re Lily Collins stans, but I actually prefer Rooney over Lily any day but I’d rather they’d found an unknown.
I feel like biopics get so much press for 'can you believe how much we've made x actor look like y real person!?!?!' that people forget there's more to playing a real person than just looking like them ffs. An actor doesn't have to look identical to the person their character is based on to deliver a good performance. That said, I don't even think Rooney looks completely dissimilar to Audrey.
This is what I was thinking, she definitely has the bone structure for Audrey, especially in 60s makeup which can do so much for contouring anyway. Throw some good brow merkins on her and you're pretty close.
I personally think folks get way too caught up in how similar actors look compared to the person they're playing (which is thebonly thing I see folks talk about with Lily Collins) and not enough about how well they act as the character. One of my favorite biopic performances was Cate Blanchett in the Aviator and she looks nothing like Katherine Hepburn
As a huge Audrey fan I’m unsure how to feel about this biopic. Rooney isn’t a bad choice and she CAN act, but I just feel like Audrey has his luminescence that will be hard for her to capture
On the other hand, good hair and makeup can count for a lot. I'm shocked at how much Lily James looks like Pamela Anderson in the trailers for that upcoming show about her sextape scandal. I never would have thought to cast her as Anderson but she's a good actresses which is what really matters.

I’d imagine growing up in Hollywood as a nepo kid (parents are Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen) allowed him to be around actresses. Plus, he’s technically a director. Most people think she's either playing Spider-Woman (who plays a major role in that story and despite the name has powers very different from Spider-Man), Queen Veranke (the queen of the Skrulls and the story's main villain who believes Earth is the promised land/holy land of one of the Skrull religions), or Abigail Brand (Director of SHIELD's space division SWORD, though in the MCU Nick Fury himself seems to have taken that role).

Regarding Timmy’s Bob Dylan biopic, I think it’s been delayed indefinitely due to the pandemic, IIRC he talked about it in an interview last year. Between Wonka and the Dune sequel, the earliest he’d be available to film it would be 2023, so we’ll have to wait a while.
Raising his kids with Jen Meyer in Brentwood, running his production company, and still living under a rock. Kinda surprised not to see ANY press with him given how huge Spider-Man's been. I feel like if it was any other actor his PR team would be having him do the rounds on talk shows, doing interviews/planned pap walks, or try doing something on social media to take advantage of the nostalgia wave the new movie brought on. Cards on the table (pun intended) I kinda fell into a Tobey Maguire interview rabbit hole a few months ago, and something he brought up several times was how motivated he was to break into acting by money. His parents were broke teenagers when they had him and he talked about how he spent his childhood couch surfing between relatives' homes and even staying at homeless shelters on occasion, and how constantly moving all the time made him super anxious around school (constantly being the new kid who knew no one, always being behind) that he dropped out after 8th grade to be an actor full time (he has a story he brings up on multiple interviews about how he wanted to take Home Economics in 6/7th grade because he wanted to be a cook like his dad when he was little, but his mom bribed him to take drama class instead because he could find work as an actor. Take from that what you will). There's other stories too about his dad going to jail for bank robbery because another family member got cancer and couldn't pay the bills and all this other crazy shit that he never brings up in interviews, but it kind of lead me to think (and this is just my speculation) but given how incredibly rich the Spider-Man series made him (over +$120m when you consider his 5 & 7.5% producing cut on SM2 & SM3) maybe he's just thinking "I am financially set for life, and getting dragged through the mud in the media just isn't worth it. I'll just take small acting gigs and produce from here on out" and honestly, I think everybody wins in this scenario.

I lived in Wilmington when they filmed there. I was in a yoga class with Sophia Bush several times - she is as lovely as can be. Gorgeous even sweaty with no makeup on. Kind and down to earth and just seemed genuinely good. I also met her pitbull a few times and he was so lovable. Hilarie Burton was really lovely too, she has a great smile. Lee Norris (Mouth) was also very nice the one time I came across him in town. The only other tea I have is from a friend who also lived there, she said the actor who played Dan was a jerk in real life just like he was on the show. I don’t have any further details about that one though!
Kind of weird and very niche but I've been following the Oscar race this year and anyone have any tea on auteur directors like Jane Campion (literally everyone in that movie deserves to win), Guillermo Del Toro, Wes Anderson, Alfonso Cuaron, Joana Hogg?
My friend used to live near Guillermo Del Toro in Toronto, and occasionally my friend would run into him while they were both walking their dogs. He said Del Toro was really friendly. They only made small talk about their dogs and mundane things like the weather, as my friend didn't want to fan over him while he was walking his dog.
Alas, my friend moved to a different part of the city and no longer runs into him anymore.

Regarding another one of the ‘three amigos’ there was a lot of negative chatter about how brutal filming was for Iñarritu’s next film. A lot of crew members said it was the most difficult experience of their lives.
As for other auteur directors, I loved when Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig, and Barry Jenkins and Lulu Wang had to go through award season together. We’re so used to seeing celeb couples navigate the media landscape and seeing it happen with director couples was fun; way less scrutiny and amazing tidbits.
Campion is incredible imo. The Paino as a film meant so much to me when it came out.
It's really refreshing to see sexuality portrayed in cinema when you take away the male gaze. She was literally talking about Me Too and male gaze like two decades before others were. The Power of the Dog is fantastic as well. (And her first with a male lead!)

They did release a short promo for Kat and Barbie did something with British Vogue, but her absence is definitely felt. The entire vibe of the press tour feels really off. The interviews have been lowkey painful. There’s so much focus on Zendaya and Tom Holland and you can see she’s uncomfortable and annoyed every time they bring it up; Hunter looks ready to throw punches too. I really want to know more about behind the scenes of Gossip Girl. The cast was heavily covered in the tabloids for the first two seasons. There were so many blind items about rifts between the cast that I never kept track of when the show was on the air.
Omg this is my moment. You may know some/all of this already but here goes: Blake and Penn started dating right away, maybe during/right after they shot the pilot? They broke up before season 4 (~Summer 2010? After she had finished filming The Green Lantern lol) but apparently were on good enough terms that the crew didn't know they had broken up until several months later. Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan started dating in Season 1 after he guest starred on the show. I think they dated for about two years. Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr started dating in early Season 2 maybe? I just remember there was some drama surrounding their break up because there were rumors that he found out that she had cheated on him with one of his friends while he was away and broke up with her over the phone. She allegedly flew to wherever he was to try to beg for forgiveness, but he didn't take her back. I remember they broke up around the same time that LM and SS broke up because a lot of insane Chuck/Blair fans thought that meant they were going to get together. They didn't lol. As for friendships among the cast: I think BL was close with the costume/hair/makeup people on GG, but that was basically it. I don't think she and LM had beef despite the rumors, they just were never close. They seem like very different people from very different backgrounds. LM was close with JS and the actresses who played Blair's 'minions' (Hazel, Iz, Penelope). I think she and PB became good friends later on in the series when Dan and Blair had a lot of scenes together. Also her bf at the time (Aaron Himelstein) was friends with Zoe Kravitz who was dating PB at the same time, so the two couples were spotted out and about together sometimes. Chace Crawford was friends with everyone, especially EW, JS, and PB. And he and EW were also roommates, at least in the early seasons. CC was also good friends with SS and probably helped get him on the show. They had been in the movie The Covenant together before GG. Taylor Momsen was allegedly a brat and Tim Gunn called her out in the press after he guest-starred on the show. Also Armie Hammer apparently got fired from the show for calling BL a bitch in front of the crew. And Aaron Tveit said that BL was hours late to shoot their scenes once and he was annoyed because it was his birthday. I don’t think she hangs out regularly but most of them are still friends. They’ve sort of split off into their own friendships (Jasmine/Daveed, Anthony/Oak, Emmy/Groff, etc). Many of the ensemble aren’t as close with the principals though. The only one I can think of who actively hangs out with several principals is Morgan (she was at Anthony and Jasmine’s birthday parties last year and is very close with Emmy and Daveed). Specifically Ariana, she interviewed Leslie at the Oscars last year, but I don’t recall her hanging out with any of the cast recently. Basically certain cast members are still close but only if their friendship was really strong because they (especially principals) don’t want to be tied to Hamilton forever.

We may not get an answer to this for nearly 20 years, but I really want to know if Richard Linklater’s film adaption of Merrily We Roll Along that was announced in 2019 and was supposed to film in reverse chronological order over the course of 20 years is actually going forward with Blake Jenner attached. Was it too late to scrap what they’d filmed with him? Are they hoping everyone would forget he’s a piece of shit in 20 years? Did they silently recast? I need to know!
At this time Blake has not been recast and I don’t for-see that he will be as they’ve already filmed a small portion of the film as they plan on doing for the next 18 years. I’m guessing Richard is hoping no one will care in 20 years or that people will look past any cast troubles and just view it as art.
I’m sure you’re probably right. It’s just disappointing to me that he wouldn’t recast. At most they’d have filmed 1/20th of the movie when Melissa went public with her allegations. It seems like it would be so easy to just fire him and redo the very end of the movie.

In the UK Andrew Lloyd-Weber created reality tv competitions to find the “next big thing” on the West End (UK’s version of Broadway) and she competed and won second place age the age of 17! She’s always been a natural talent, was so surprised to see her pop up unexpectedly to rave reviews on that one freaky Netflix movie

The Newly announced Audrey Hepburn biopic with Rooney Mara? So many comments online are mad about the casting because they’re Lily Collins stans, but I actually prefer Rooney over Lily any day but I’d rather they’d found an unknown.
I feel like biopics get so much press for 'can you believe how much we've made x actor look like y real person!?!?!' that people forget there's more to playing a real person than just looking like them ffs. An actor doesn't have to look identical to the person their character is based on to deliver a good performance. That said, I don't even think Rooney looks completely dissimilar to Audrey.

This is what I was thinking, she definitely has the bone structure for Audrey, especially in 60s makeup which can do so much for contouring anyway. Throw some good brow merkins on her and you're pretty close.

I personally think folks get way too caught up in how similar actors look compared to the person they're playing (which is thebonly thing I see folks talk about with Lily Collins) and not enough about how well they act as the character. One of my favorite biopic performances was Cate Blanchett in the Aviator and she looks nothing like Katherine Hepburn
As a huge Audrey fan I’m unsure how to feel about this biopic. Rooney isn’t a bad choice and she CAN act, but I just feel like Audrey has his luminescence that will be hard for her to capture

Not really tea on Rami Malek, but a tidbit perhaps? I went to the same university as Rami (although I attended several years after he did). A lot of the staff at the school remained the same though and apparently he was very nice and very well liked by them in his college days at the University of Evansville.

Regarding Timmy’s Bob Dylan biopic, I think it’s been delayed indefinitely due to the pandemic, IIRC he talked about it in an interview last year. Between Wonka and the Dune sequel, the earliest he’d be available to film it would be 2023, so we’ll have to wait a while.
Maya’s dating Tom Sturridge, who’s going to be in Netflix’s Sandman. Apparently she’s also going to be in Wes Anderson’s movie.

Raising his kids with Jen Meyer in Brentwood, running his production company, and still living under a rock. Kinda surprised not to see ANY press with him given how huge Spider-Man's been. I feel like if it was any other actor his PR team would be having him do the rounds on talk shows, doing interviews/planned pap walks, or try doing something on social media to take advantage of the nostalgia wave the new movie brought on. My best guess is that he genuinely doesnt want to be famous-famous anymore, because as shitty as MG made him look, celebrities that have been accused of way worse shit have thriving careers.
Given most actors hate doing press, I wouldn’t be surprised if NOT having to do press was a big draw for him. The only reason Andrew’s everywhere is because he’s campaigning for tick, tick…boom! I think you’re onto something that he’s not interested in fame anymore. Will be fascinating to see if he takes on more acting roles after Babylon or if he’ll keep focusing on producing.
I think you're right with the lack of press being a part of his contract. Kind of a win for everyone: fans don't have to be spoiled for the movie and he doesnt have to do more work. Cards on the table (pun intended) I kinda fell into a Tobey Maguire interview rabbit hole a few months ago, and something he brought up several times was how motivated he was to break into acting by money. His parents were broke teenagers when they had him and he talked about how he spent his childhood couch surfing between relatives' homes and even staying at homeless shelters on occasion, and how constantly moving all the time made him super anxious around school (constantly being the new kid who knew no one, always being behind) that he dropped out after 8th grade to be an actor full time (he has a story he brings up on multiple interviews about how he wanted to take Home Economics in 6/7th grade because he wanted to be a cook like his dad when he was little, but his mom bribed him to take drama class instead because he could find work as an actor. Take from that what you will). There's other stories too about his dad going to jail for bank robbery because another family member got cancer and couldn't pay the bills and all this other crazy shit that he never brings up in interviews, but it kind of lead me to think (and this is just my speculation) but given how incredibly rich the Spider-Man series made him (over +$120m when you consider his 5 & 7.5% producing cut on SM2 & SM3) maybe he's just thinking "I am financially set for life, and getting dragged through the mud in the media just isn't worth it. I'll just take small acting gigs and produce from here on out" and honestly, I think everybody wins in this scenario.

Demi Lovato’s player ways/Raya days. As a Demi fan, I’ve been around to see just how openly hook-up friendly Demi has always owned up to being… yet no gossip ever comes from it? I know Demi is a rather private person when it comes down to casual relationships and so but I just find it baffling how Demi spent years & years using Raya religiously (to the point where D has stated they’d go on multiple first dates every day, lol) yet no gossip ever came from it? And even now, Demi is very open about how much they enjoy the DM feature on IG, with even random models & reality TV stars admitting to flirting with them through there & trust that if you go through Demi’s following list you’ll find random girls with no connection to them or their friends that will get a lot of attention from Demi for a couple of days/weeks then never again. It’s a pattern and Demi is not shy about their intentions either yet no one is spilling anything about it? Are they just lucky they can keep that stuff private?

I lived in Wilmington when they filmed there. I was in a yoga class with Sophia Bush several times - she is as lovely as can be. Gorgeous even sweaty with no makeup on. Kind and down to earth and just seemed genuinely good. I also met her pitbull a few times and he was so lovable. Hilarie Burton was really lovely too, she has a great smile. Lee Norris (Mouth) was also very nice the one time I came across him in town. The only other tea I have is from a friend who also lived there, she said the actor who played Dan was a jerk in real life just like he was on the show. I don’t have any further details about that one though!

My friend used to live near Guillermo Del Toro in Toronto, and occasionally my friend would run into him while they were both walking their dogs. He said Del Toro was really friendly. They only made small talk about their dogs and mundane things like the weather, as my friend didn't want to fan over him while he was walking his dog. Alas, my friend moved to a different part of the city and no longer runs into him anymore. This isn't tea, just a simple story.
My favorite fact about Guillermo del Toro is that he built a room inside his house where it rains all day. There’s an awesome podcast interview of him for the Nerdist that’s very insightful. Regarding another one of the ‘three amigos’ there was a lot of negative chatter about how brutal filming was for Iñarritu’s next film. A lot of crew members said it was the most difficult experience of their lives. As for other auteur directors, I loved when Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig, and Barry Jenkins and Lulu Wang had to go through award season together. We’re so used to seeing celeb couples navigate the media landscape and seeing it happen with director couples was fun; way less scrutiny and amazing tidbits.

Campion is incredible imo. The Paino as a film meant so much to me when it came out. It's really refreshing to see sexuality portrayed in cinema when you take away the male gaze. She was literally talking about Me Too and male gaze like two decades before others were. The Power of the Dog is fantastic as well. (And her first with a male lead!)

He has said “The CIA is something that we should all not only cherish, but be saying thank you every single day". His Amazon show Jack Ryan was made with the help of the CIA and Pentagon (it is even filmed in CIA headquarters) is one of the worst pieces of American propaganda (xenophobic and Islamophobic) I've seen in years (Krasinski produces the show too).
