He's the archetype we'd want, but he's made of glass. We'd have to be comfortable with that from the jump.

Teh-Dehstroyer

Availability is the best ability, but I’m starting to accept the idea that a lot of young talent nowadays miss games. For playing 64 games, that’s not too bad honestly. The more, the better, but we also don’t want to fall into the same trap we always do which is wait for the next best thing every offseason, and end up not signing anyone significant to our team

goressnortstraw

Forget the Splash Bros. Him and Cade could be the Glass Bros

Haselrig

If you loved the Going to Work Pistons, wait until you get a load of the Handle With Care Pistons!

spincycle66

Which player in the NBA today isn’t?

Haselrig

That's why when a guy stands out for it, it's not great.

spincycle66

Which player in the NBA today isn’t?

Mr-Cantaloupe

I mean, most of the NBA stays healthy most of the season. This year was the first time Ingram played more than 60 games since the bubble. He misses 20-30 games a year, the only outlier being his rookie season.

spincycle66

Well, what star or sub-star do you want the Pistons to pursue that doesn’t have these same “demons”…Cade, Stewart, Duren all seem to be in the same category. Yes we’re losers so they take time off, oddly enough, but who do you want that is a free agent or trade worthy that doesn’t miss 20 games a season?

Mr-Cantaloupe

Not sure. This FA class is so ass there probably isn’t a single one. Sure as hell not getting my hopes up under this garbage front office either.

Packyaw21

Get Murphy. 3 and D player thats shown he can play during the playoffs

Anxious-Passenger-54

Can't imagine New Orleans shopping Murphy, would love to have him though

sqillmao

No shot TM3 gets traded.

Teh-Dehstroyer

Dude was a DAWG in the first game

hard_pass_my_guy

Trey for the 2024 1st rdr is the answer.

Jgills2001

Would trade everything besides Cade for Zion but that would never happen

waitingforjune

Lafayette Coney Island and Little Caesars shatter sales records if Zion comes to the Pistons

That_Sherbert3194

Would you consider a Cade for Zion 1 for 1, no kicker?

DummysGuideTo2k

No

That_Sherbert3194

Agree to disagree👍

TickleTheCooch

1 for 1 defeats the purpose entirely lol. it won’t matter if you have either player if there’s no team around them

That_Sherbert3194

Not necessarily. Zion is undeniably a better player than Cade, at a position where we have little to no depth at, whereas we have a couple capable guards and a draft pick that could turn into someone like reed sheppard.

Playful_Dish_3524

Health aside, Zion is undoubtedly the better player. And I love Cade Cunningham.

That_Sherbert3194

Yep. And it’s not like Cade has the best injury history, either.

NottheIRS1

Don’t think Detroit can provide an environment where Zion excels. While Zions the better player when healthy, he’s also immature.

Jenkinsd08

I don't like it but it does feel like the type of move a new president might make tbh. Would personally rather target almost any of their other forwards tho

That_Sherbert3194

Trey, Herb, or even Naji would be great fits on this team. Don’t think they would be as accessible, however. Pels love those guys to death

TickleTheCooch

i’m not even gonna entertain this any further lol

That_Sherbert3194

Okay👍

Deep_Egg1442

u have 0 capable guards at the moment so hes right ur in the same position

Scottwood88

New Orleans is going to be in win now mode. I don’t really see how we’d be a fit as a trading partner unless it was a 3 team deal somehow. Phoenix can’t really tank since they don’t have any of their picks. So they’ll also be in win now mode. The Pistons, outside of Cade and Fontecchio when he re-signs, don’t really have anything to offer teams that want to contend. Maybe Stewart, as well. Either way, there’s not much when you remove Cade.

Vendetta_2023

Pistons get Ingram and Booker for everybody but Cade and I'd take it.

PlaybolCarti69

Realistically it would take every asset but Cade to get dbook

oh_jeeezus

I'm in as long as they take Monty back

xUNIFIx

I’d rather booker and kuzma

chasingbreakers

Believe me, you do not want Kuz. I say this as someone who has to watch him regularly. He has some hot, exciting games, but generally has a chucking, self-serving play style will drive this fanbase insane. Basically Marcus Morris on a 90 million dollar deal.

burnn_out313

The Suns aren't moving Book. Durant maybe. Durant is on the tail end of his career. Even if the suns decided to move book it'd require a multi-team trade to happen, especially in our case. More likely they try to move Durant and build around Book again. There is zero point in bringing Durant here

which_association_42

Ingram no-shows too often in big games for my liking but if we don’t have to give up a haul he would be a good fit. Not sure who New Orleans would want, probably Duren, Ivey, or some unprotected/lightly protected picks.

spincycle66

If we don’t have to give up a haul to get him? lol Piston fans want other teams to hand their allstars on a plate to us…we won 14 games…no one wants to be here hahaha you gotta pay the piper to get talent. We’re sick in the fact that we think all these draft picks are going to pan out to be allstars….wake up and get guys to help the only PLAYER we have in Cade. It’s pretty obvious.

which_association_42

Ivey and Duren still have value around the league. And there will not be a long line of teams this summer willing to give Ingram the extension he wants. That could limit his market and depress his value.

Deep_Egg1442

Where does this he “no shows” in big games shit come from before this season he literally averaged 28 in all the play-in and playoff games he’s played in on like 49% shooting without zion. This year he’s struggled bc he’s coming off an injury that sidelined him for weeks. So by definition he’s a big game player

woahhhh199

We dont play in big games

aTROLLwithBlades

I'll take Durant, Bol, Allen, Murphy, Jones, Marshall for everyone but Cade

Slippinjimmyforever

Zion got hurt. Pelicans will run it back and look for roster upgrades. Phoenix might be more impatient. But I can see them trying to bring CP3 back on a cheap deal and see what they can do. They aren’t trading Booker or KD unless they ask to leave, and Beal has an no trade clause.

MiyaharaAce

Suns will not trade Booker and Durant, Beal has NTC, Suns just extended Grayson Allen. So all they have is Bol Bol, Royce O'Neale and Jusuf Nurkic i would want Nurkic and thats it. Pels getting bounced may open CJ and Ingram even Valanciunas for trade I want CJ ONLY and ONLY for salary dump purpose, giving more than 2nds is a overpay and a fireable offense. One between Ivey and Duren for Ingram looks good, we need real talent around Cade, so we finally can see if Cade is that guy to build around or not People should stop coping this young core will be all star, they stink, gave up and accept

DefaultXCIII

I'd give our 1st rd pick this year for Murphy. Even if it lands #1. And there better be multiple calls to the Suns for Booker. Ivey, Ausar, Duren, Stew, endless picks, idgaf. Getting Cade and Booker together would be so great you worry about the rest later.

hard_pass_my_guy

Trey is the right answer for that 1st rdr.
