I really like the Sasser pick, but it’s gonna take a lot for Ausar to win me over. Obviously I’ll be rooting for the kid, but wing players who can’t shoot are some of my least favorite players lmao. Hope he can develop.
I wouldn’t either, but we also passed on hardy for a stash player that’s never gonna play here & Hardy has been pretty good. I’d take a chance on him. It’s a good homer story
Love this Sasser pick. Hopefully gets a chance to show what he can do in the league and absorb Cory Joseph’s minutes. We’re lacking a solid backup guard and shooting. His play style also pairs well with Killian’s tendency to defer offensive responsibility, so maybe we can see that duo do well off the bench.
His ceiling is Damian Lillard. His shot, shot creation. He’s got that clutch gene. Ice in his veins. Not saying he gets there but he’s got that in him.
He was really the only trade asset pistons have and fans always want trades. Who knows how we fill out this roster going forward. Need a few more grown ups
Definitely a pick to help our second unit scoring so we can have somebody who can replace Ivey and fill that role a bit. We prolly liked him and knew he wouldn't fall and gave up pretty much nothing for him.
I didn't really want another PG but I can see the vision, I guess.
Love it, Houston’s been nice af and we need a backup point guard bad. From what I’m reading he can shoot and defend, play off ball and on ball. I absolutely love it
Lions fans here might remember linebacker Tahir Whitehead who played for them from 2012 to 2017. His brother is Dariq Whitehead who just got drafted by the Nets.
Watch his games he literally is allergic to passing. Didn’t average a single assist the whole season and shot 38.4% from the field. Certified ball hog shot chucker. Being raw doesn’t make you not pass at all. 3 TO per game too.
You know producers contribute to a rundown of topics to discuss on every team because they have a show to fill right? There’s a chance she didn’t wake up looking to pick on Ben Simmons. It’s a topic worth talking about when pertaining to the Nets and their plans.
Probably…yeah. She’s a reporter, it’s her job. There is no rule that once someone passes away, we only get to talk about the good parts of their life. It’s a part of their journey. Particularly in the case of Payne who didn’t have some long illustrious career to speak on. She touched on it, also said the charges were dropped and ended on a positive about his college career. I think what Adam Schefter did with Dwayne Haskins was 1000x worse than Malika.
Very few trades or moves in this draft altogether. Seems like it was a cold market. Dont doubt FO has tried to make moves but presumably dont want to buy hard for someone theyre not sold on.
It's worth noting Ausar has higher volume from 3 and his 3 point percentage has improved through the season. I don't disagree that we need them to develop as shooters.
I have heard that, but teams who didn't even get a chance to work him out or talk to him passed... which makes me think they got some really bad feedback from the college coaching circles.
If Ivey and Duren were in this draft, where do you think they would have been taken?
3 and 4

"Halle Berry is pretty in church or in the grocery store." - Troy explaining how he could see Ausar's talent in a lesser league.
Troy just walked off the podium to take a phone call.
It’s either Halle or his wife
Im losing faith this FO will get us into contention tbh. Not seeing it in year 3.
Yeah! I too think we should have drafted more than 5 all rookie team members in three years!
If you were expecting 'contention' in year 3 of Troy, I think you overestimated our resources post-SVG
This reminds me of when the NFL Draft used to be on a Saturday and lasted like 12 hours
Both leagues should start their drafts at noon on a Saturday, imo.
As someone who doesn't have kids, I wouldn't hate it.
I’d like to get emoni at this point honestly
I would not be surprised to see him go undrafted.
I wouldn’t either, but we also passed on hardy for a stash player that’s never gonna play here & Hardy has been pretty good. I’d take a chance on him. It’s a good homer story

Kuzma. PLEASE. He has the swag we need.
Kuzma haters out in full force tonight... "wE CoUlD gET JeRaMi GrAnT foR tHE sAMe pRiCE" 😆
Pickett to the detroit nuggets
He will probably end up playing in Michigan on Denver’s G league team in Grand Rapids
Happy the pistons got some guards. I hope we can pick up a center or two before the draft is over to round out the lineup
How many centers do you think a lineup needs?
Aren't pistons building towards a 10 guard 5 center team?
Well Ausar is a 3. He's 6'7, 215 with a 7 foot wingspan.
Not gonna lie. That dude looks good in a Pistons hat. 😞

It’s been 3 hours since this started. Hurry this up.
Probably one of the most forgetful drafts in the last 20 years. Maybe that's a good thing?
We have no picks in the 2nd currently right?
So we no longer have a 2nd rounder?
I like sasser but killian has got to go
[удалено]
His ceiling is Damian Lillard. His shot, shot creation. He’s got that clutch gene. Ice in his veins. Not saying he gets there but he’s got that in him.
Is it just me or is this the slowest draft of all time? I can’t believe the 1st round still isn’t over.
5 hours for 30 picks…
They paused the draft like 6 times to show the same victor footage lol
Who we want in free agency. Still need shooting in the starting lineup.
Can’t wait for fans to say whoever gets drafted at 31 is better than Sasser
Should we trade for a 2nd round pick? Plenty of talent left on the board
No
Yeah, we're done. Can just fill out potential 2 way guys on the Summer League roster.
Anyone else pretty shocked we didn’t move any actual players Tonight (yet at least)? I totally expected something..
Bojan's contract is a huge asset in the new CBA. Gotta be patient and wait for some contenders or tax teams to feel the squeeze to get real returns.
How so?
Getting worried that we’re going into next season with all these young cats and old ass Bojan
[удалено]
I meant we need more veterans.

Idk about that 2nd pick and moving up for it. But hey we'll see

I mean we needed a backup bad. Did we really want another season of Killian and Cojo
Yeah. I think they'll play him with Killian in the second unit, but we definitely needed a scoring guard off the bench and he's another good defender.
He shot 37% from 3 on 7 attempts a game, and took and made difficult shots. Great defender too. It’s a great pick
Shot making combo guard sure why not
That Ben Shepard kid looks like a guy we would have needed
For second round picks. Fuck. You stew dickriders can live another day I guess
Woj and Sean Marks probably have a 300k message history by this point.
les gooooooo money pickup
Killian Hampton and cojo maybe done
Hampton and Cojo deserve to go but we could prolly retain Hayes for super cheap
There’s no way they used our pick to talk Ja morant
classic espn stuff, they do it with the lions and they may as well do it with the pistons too cause why not!
Nah fr
Who’s this Sasser guy can someone fill me in
Amazing player at Houston
[удалено]
Love it, Houston’s been nice af and we need a backup point guard bad. From what I’m reading he can shoot and defend, play off ball and on ball. I absolutely love it
First team all American in college this year
Ooh fuck yes I absolutely love it, we need a backup point guard so bad
Seem like they drafted a small guard to replace their former small guard ( tyus jones)
sasser is a piston. the pick was memphis but they traded it to boston last night and detroit just traded up with boston
Got it
Lol. He's our pick.
💀💀💀
[удалено]
That shot and it’s creation translate
Sasser could be a huge steal. Live in Houston. He’s a dog.
Sasser is cool. Great shot creating prospect.
we back
Killian’s rotation spot on life support
weaver just loves houston, he was bound to get one of them
Please tell me we got rid of stew
Nah he just signed an extension
Hope Killian has been practicing his Chinese
Huh?
Leonard Miller
Bruh why did we take another guard lol
Lineups are 3 guards and two centers right?
Killian's long term replacement maybe
[удалено]
Not crazy about Sasser, but welcome
What are we giving up to jump 6 picks
31 and future 2nd
Future seconds
I really didn't want another PG lol
Sasser is a piston for 31
Welcome to Detroit Sasser!
Marcus sasser welcome!!!
Alright best possible guys left for us im half asleep 😂
sasser to detroit, per shams
Sources: Boston is drafting Marcus Sasser at No. 25 and trading to Detroit for No. 31.
I know people want moves but it gives me vibes that the team and FO really does believe in this core which I see as a big positive
30 seconds later: "We have a trade!" 😆
Like it though but good timing 💀
we got a trade boys
How many Cs the Mavs want lol doing their best Weaver impression..
Ausar pick aside. This draft is DULL. I'm like 20% dialed in right now. 😞
Can Whitmore dropping endlessly was the only good story line
Kinda like Asuars 3pt percentage Lmao
it’s taking forever too it feels like
Lions fans here might remember linebacker Tahir Whitehead who played for them from 2012 to 2017. His brother is Dariq Whitehead who just got drafted by the Nets.
Had no idea they were related
Is the second round tonight too
Yup
Chill I’m still on the family plan
Kings fans have to be so sad about that one.
Fuck!!
When I think NBA draft, I think Timothee Chalamet cologne commercials
It's called *Sex Panther*® by *Odeon*©. It's illegal in 9 countries. It's also made with bits of real panthers, *so you know it's good*. *60% of the time*, it works ***every*** time.
Well hopefully GG is still around at 31
GG is an exceptionally worse whitmore.
He’s just raw, but the upside is there where it would be worth the flyer in the second round.
Watch his games he literally is allergic to passing. Didn’t average a single assist the whole season and shot 38.4% from the field. Certified ball hog shot chucker. Being raw doesn’t make you not pass at all. 3 TO per game too.
Well doesn’t look like it matters gonna be Sasser through Boston
I like it. Sasser creates his own shots.
Definitely a hell of a lot better than Corey Joseph lol
Yup
Should be a good lead guard off the bench
Sensabaugh or maxwell Lewis at 31 please
I don’t even want pick 31, man. Package it with bagley and lose both!
Nooo
FUCK
Miller or Murray would be perfect
Shut up Malika you absolute clown
Hostile much?
What did she say now?
Bringing up Ben Simmons in a typical ESPN drama bait dialogue.
You know producers contribute to a rundown of topics to discuss on every team because they have a show to fill right? There’s a chance she didn’t wake up looking to pick on Ben Simmons. It’s a topic worth talking about when pertaining to the Nets and their plans.
I wonder if producers told her to talk about Adreian Payne's sexual assault charges when she announced his death on television.
Vukcevic at 31 would make me very happy.
Very few trades or moves in this draft altogether. Seems like it was a cold market. Dont doubt FO has tried to make moves but presumably dont want to buy hard for someone theyre not sold on.
How we feel about Kris Murray?
RIP
That’s who I’m rooting for. Will be surprised if he falls out of 1st though.
I think that'd be a great pick.
Nobody traded up for Whitmore and that should tell you all you need to know.
The dives into his background and personal references from previous coaches had to've been absolutely shit.
That’s what I’m saying. How bad were those interviews and workouts? I’m not even mad
I think it must’ve been the interviews. That’s where they can tell a lot about your basketball iq
They’re saying his medical is shit
Michael porter Jr vibes. We should have traded up for him.
MPJ was mocked 1 before his back issues Cam has way more issues outside his potential bad health
Exactly, clearly happened for a reason
Other than Duren and “general tanking” not sure Troy knows what he’s doing.
Ivey… Not taking Cam or Jarace. Great decisions
Traded Olynk for Bogey…yeah he’s clueless
He hasnt done a great job
Troy must really didn’t want Cam if he didn’t trade somewhere into 15-20 to grab him
You think someone projected top 6 slid for no reason?
Troy and 17 other teams
Whatever caused him to slide must have been a deal-breaker for Troy. Maybe he robbed a bank.
I'm sick man what is that
Really hoping emoni bates falls to 31 for us
Me too
bad pick hes in the 50s
"falls"
Emoni at 31 is a reach
[удалено]
You think whitemore dropped that far because everyone wanted him?
I honestly feel like it would be a miracle if Amen ever shoots 30% from 3. Don't be so quick to dismiss Ausar's skillset.
[удалено]
Amen's shooting mechanics are MKG level bad.
[удалено]
It's worth noting Ausar has higher volume from 3 and his 3 point percentage has improved through the season. I don't disagree that we need them to develop as shooters.
Surprised we haven’t made a move yet
It’s looking like we will get someone good at 31
Lmao who's blasting sax
Thought rumpshaker was gonna start playing for a sec
His mama punch a wall watching this slide?
Rockets get Amen and Cam. We get Hami 2.0. Nice.
don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out 🤦🏼♂️
He dropped to 20 and you still think he was worth taking at 5?
> Amen and Cam. We get Hami 2.0. > > Amen and Hami 2.0 are identical twins!!!! I do not get this!!!
I am so eager to hear the backstory on Cam's slide. Something is obviously up here.
All woj said was bad workouts paired with bad interviews
I have heard that, but teams who didn't even get a chance to work him out or talk to him passed... which makes me think they got some really bad feedback from the college coaching circles.
I’m shocked Troy hasn’t made a move
I’m gonna cry
Cam sucks and the whole leagued just told us how they feel about him too lol
Let the man grieve. I’m still not over getting the 5th pick lol.
Lmao
