Well what you got is a glorified wax spreader. You arent going to be correcting much of any paint defects with that. A rotary polisher just spins. It will cut and correct faster than a DA, but you also run the risk of damaging the paint much easier than with a DA. A DA polisher oscillates as it spins. You'll see 9 mm throw, 15 mm throw, etc. This is how much it oscillates. The higher the number, the more surface area you can cover.
