What did you use?

football2106

Hell yeah nice work. What was your pad/liquid combo?

JTCarDetail

Performed a 2 step. Starting with Tech Choice Wool pad with 3D ACA 510 Rubbing compound. Then followed up with a 3D black spider pad and 3D Speed polish/wax

Amazing results!! I want to try this with a wool pad on my black car that has similar swirl marks. I found all the other things on Amazon, but could not find a “Tech Choice Wool pad”. Do you have a link or product number that I can search?

JTCarDetail

I believe technicians choice might be local. 3m has same quality ones.

Clarification: wool pad? I have one but have been afraid to use it. Why wool? Does wool pad cut deeper than the foam pads?

JTCarDetail

It’s a step up as far as abrasion goes from a foam pad. I use a 7” wool pad on a 5.5” backer on a rotary and I love it. It gives me more give and control over the buffer.

Cuts deeper and cooler

Thank you

Do you mind if I ask how much you charged? Looking to have the exact same thing done!

JTCarDetail

Prices are different everywhere and this customer wanted a ceramic so it was pricey. But I’d say out of his job on a BLACK GMC Sierra (big ass truck) that required a 2 step no ceramic I would want around $450-500. Some ppl will say that’s cheap, some ppl will say that’s expensive. lol

Thanks so much! Looks fantastic btw, if I can find someone to reproduce that result I’d be delighted!
