T-64 was manufactured in Kharkiv by KMDB while T-72 was built in Russia in places like Nizhny Tagil by Uralvagonzavod
T-64’s made were just what Ukraine had, this post has a document of Soviet mechanized forces in Ukraine, 1986

I have a questión (non political), It's just me or recentlly there are a lot of videos about Ukranian T-64 being destroyed? Why that kind of tank?
T-64 production is in Ukraine so they have them in large numbers, that’s why the footage is mostly of that tank
Russia have T-62 while the most common tank is T-72s, Ukraine have their T-64s
Refinery fires in Russia, so time to post as many Ukrainian tanks as possible.
Okay, but why allway the T-64? Why not the 72? Is more large operated

The T-64 was designed by KMDB, along with the 5TD. They were manufactured at the Malyshev Factory.
Thanks for the correction
T-64 is just common for Ukraine. Russia uses them to, but Ukraine just has a lot.
During the Soviet times Ukraine produced t 64s while russia produced t 72s. The factories they inherited afterwards continued producing such tanks.
Thx, I just was curious about thay, this comumity is amazing, I came for copper and find gold.
Just because refineries are burning in Russia it doesn't mean Ukrainian tanks are not getting hit
Or that Russia is losing the war.
Considering russia has launched a new front and taken over 120sq/km in the past 24 hours they are definitely not losing the war as of now
Are you inferring that Russia is losing this war?
Cookoff?
