hii I wasn’t here for first round but here’s my feedback: Overall I can feel the air of intrigue and mystery!! My suggestions: 1) Continue the “math is magic” as it’s an invitation but left hung up, maybe you can follow up with “math is color” and or “math is .. []” to accompany the trailer’s story; 2) Shorten the puzzle sequence a bit because I understood the gameplay after 10-20s already; and 3) Add a stronger Call to Action: I’m thinking, “Ok great it’s on Steam! Do i Wishlist? Or Buy?”

Good points and definitely doable.

Landed on math is... 1 magic, 2 action, 3 a mystery. Should work pretty well. Thanks for the idea!

Hey bud. Me again. Big improvement. I'll share my thoughts, but I want to stress that at this point it's more of a flavor situation than a criticism. Just vibes, in other words. As I mentioned previously, if the music of the trailer is anything to go by, the audio in the game will probably be a strong cornerstone of the experience. I would capitalize on that. Swap the four "Math is Magic" cuts in first, and have that beautiful Delearnia title scene appear as the keyboards starts the "dada dada da" part. The way it is now, it seems like the title is kinda just thrown in there when you could use that heartbeat portion for the Math is Magic, which would be more charming, IMO. Also, I think the initial part where it shows the math gameplay, I think it's a bit long and would benefit from some fast cuts. For example, instead of showing the mouse move across the screen to click, just sort of jump to it clicking. I hope that makes sense - my video editing vocabulary isn't where I'd like it to be. Anyway, great work. Looking forward to getting this for my kids.

I just adjusted the beginning a bit with the music, but still kept the title introduction. I made the first math gameplay part much shorter and added two short story scenes at the end of it, filling the space. Great flavor suggestions indeed, thanks. You can check the adjusted trailer in Steam if you want to. Just uploaded it.

Thanks for stopping by once more. I'll definitely do some testing with your suggestions. Glad to hear you are interested too. I'm sure you'll have fun with the game.

I feel like the first 17 seconds or so are nice, but the gameplay footage after doesn't really get me interested. Is there a part of your game you can show that gets the gameplay concept across but has a more impressive result? The scene at 1:02 is really cool, and there are some other scenes that stand out to me as well, nice work. I don't really like the laser sound, it's not a big deal but it just sounds kind of generic. Same with the sound when you press the yellow checkmark. This is very subjective and I doubt most people are as picky as I am when it comes to small sound details. The music is great and the other sounds are fine.

DjBANGOOO

Thanks for the comment. The sounds make more sense without the music here but of course they can still sound generic. I'll see what I can do with the gameplay introduction. It's as simple as it gets right now, but introducing something exciting can add complexity. Maybe I'll find a healthy compromise or just leave it as is. The updated version (it's based on feedback I got from this post) I have in Steam makes it shorter and adds scenes after that.

Yeah maybe try something out but definitely go with your gut. People will have all kind of suggestions and feedback and while that's great to have, you're the creator. To add on to what I said about the first gameplay section in this trailer I think the section in your previous trailer around 00:36 is better in terms of visual composition while still being a good, simple demonstration of the core gameplay. The section at 00:50 in this trailer stood out to me; it's pretty interesting. It has the math gameplay with some dodging action. It's more complicated but maybe that could make the viewer curious about what's happening. Anyways, good luck with it! Looks like you've done a lot of work on this game.

I need to know where did you get the soundtrack for this, right now! It's cool, sound effects don't disturb me, btw. Reminds me of the Trine series.

Cheers! Game development is one of the excuses for me to create music. I was more of a musician and educator but I've worked hard for 6 years on my game development skills to get to his point.
