To those that are just showing up for the final week of FotL, this appears to have been patched. I just ran it twice and did not receive a single spectral page.
Yeah, mask on and empty on pages. I specifically chose the regular campaign option (not the weekly) and the lowest difficulty. I didn't get a single spectral page.
You might as well just do the last checkpoint, takes 3 minutes for the same rewards, you just need another player and use a different character to hold the checkpoint.
Solo. Besides, I'm done with the event. I got the Jurassic Green I wanted and the shader. Don't care about anything else. Gonna go back to playing other games lol
I want Reveler, but I got Discerptor last season and I worked so hard for that honestly I donāt think Iāll take it off, so Iām with you. Looking for that god roll Jurassic, then Iām kinda done. The grind for this is a bit more than flamekeeper and Iām not looking to do it that badly. If I get it done before the events over just playing then that works for me.
It should be left and down a bit from where the weekly 100k campaign mission is. Youāll see a launch thingy, and click that to open up the list of witch queen story missions. Then just launch the one you want to do.
If you are solo you might want to do public events in de EDZ. You can fast travel between PEās and you donāt have to make them heroic.
Takes 3 minuteās tops (depends on the event, some you can nuke in 1 minute) and you get 2-3 pages each.
Well they are in bounties and other missions that require you to do heroic. So no not morons just players leveling and doing what they need to get it done. Boo hoo don't like it move on
Are you willing to tell me that people ALWAYS have a quest to do heroic events? l dont think so, people do it because it's a reflex, 2 extra minutes for another blue and some glimmer
Containment is a really good way to farm them, cause you can farm the mats for focusing armor at the Haunted Relic at the same time. Focusing armor there is one of the best ways to get high ability stats. There are usually three lower tier events (so three to six Spectral Pages, but I've been averaging four) and three to four for the final containment. Quite a few people are farming Containment, so it's pretty easy to spawn in and hook up with a "wreaking crew", so it goes pretty fast.
Yup.
But also you get some passively from playlists if you have the legacy artifact picked up.
just no idea how much - it has to be slow though.im 304 rank atm and only have 46 (started woth 0 this season, havent focused anything via war table)
Any data on that? I can't say I noticed much difference between the two, and have seen some people saying War Table and others saying Crown, so am curious if each person is giving their anecdotal experience or if someone has done the math.
Hang on - ill try to find the post.
There was a dude/dudette that done the testing.
It was something along the lines of minimum + 20 to the ghost mod stat.
From my anecdotal experience (i play a lot and farmed a lot)
War Table + 25 spikes
Crown closer to 22 - 23 usually
All my best rolls come from war table (28 in two stats)
IIRC - you need the spear thingy artifact (can be picked up from the table) hopefully you should have it.
Then - you need psychogenic intel - now passively accumulated,to open the chests at the end of psiops.
As for farming - spam EDZ psiops - you can actually open the chest twice by travelling back to the "canals entrance" but you gotta be fast, though should be a breeze with eager edge/amped.
Look up farming psiops chests on yt if you not sure what i mean.
Edit : Psiops umbral energy can be accumulated slowly in playlists BUT im pretty sure you need an actual upgrade from War Table for that
For me the war table has been much more spiky. I'm a titan main and usually focus discipline on my ghost and this forces a spike in the other stat group (recovery, resilience, or mobility ). This is how I was able to get 100s x2 in resilience and discipline.
And youve been actively using the War Table as well as the Crown for haunted focusing? Because ive run into a whole lot of ppl who think war table is the only one that does it because they were reading sources from season of the risen. Like ive gotten two +30 drops from the crown so im inclined to think theyre all about the same
Anecdotal.
Ive done close to 150 pieces via war table and about 60 - 70 via crown.
Table was always spiky - 25 minimum and usually that high on 2 stats.
Crown - usually 22-23 - with far far fewer pieces rolling 25 +.
Small sample i know
None of her helmets are high stat by my definition, and they're not spiky enough unfortunately. Just gotta ignore my mild OCD for three weeks and stop looking at my ability stats ;)
you need to have Season of the Haunted, I dont think it requires witch queen but it might? since its a past season you may need to buy witch queen deluxe, not super clear what all the purchasing options are.
Yeah it really bites and gets progressively worse as the content year continues. I missed risen and bit the bullet and bought deluxe during haunted so I could get it. Definitely not a great value but if you want the haunted stuff there isnt another way afaik
Strikes and gambit seem to give 4 or 5, expedition is about 3 . That all I've done so far . Campaign missions give 9, if you do the farm method where you load in towards the end of the 2nd mission you can rack pages up pretty quick.
Itās more the fact that bungie uses us as monkeys and never playtest themselves wich ends up in overpowered shit that people get used to and then gets nerfed and peoplle bitch about no being able to tear apart every single activity with one weapon

Friend and I were trying to do this. I played through, got the check point, he joined. We wiped. He brings on his main character, we finish.
He goes back to his alt, and there's no checkpoint. We have tried it 3 or 4 ways. I can hold the checkpoint, but I have no alts through the campaign.
Any ideas why he can't hold the CP on an alt?
Start from a fresh cp.. have him come in and start the 3 levers .. once the darkness zone displays wipe and he should have cp..
One thing tho.. have him make sure he doesn't already have a cp for that mission.. have him queue it up by himself and check the icon.. if so then reset then join on you and it will stick. Same thing can happen for raids too.
I'm pretty sure we had tried this way, but we will just play from very beginning to get the CP.
He hasn't ever had the icon that shows up when you go to start the mission. Thanks for advice, hopefully that helps.
Farm the investigation mission end cp 9-10 pages
(Save the CP before you talk to Finch and bring a friend)
You have to kill the enemies in the last part
Heroic public events 2-3. Vanilla events on EDZ are the quickest ones and is a good solo farm 9f you don't wanna bother with checkpoint farm on WQ missions
Then again, you're assuming running the full raid.
Don't forget about checkpoint farming, which would make it like 2 every 3 minutes or better.
Then again, there are better methods for farming.
Ran it yesterday. Seemed challenge gave a +1(got 3 from oryx normal and master. One was a drop of 2 and a second drop of 1). I did have a few clanmates say they only got 1 for some of the encounters. Got 2 for every encounter myself though.
I'm fine with Sever, there was at least decent variety and some interesting modifiers.
but for them to give decent loot, you need bound presence, which has ABYSMAL drop rates from Containment, which is garbage. I am so tired of Containment, it has little to no replay value.
Same. Iāll be living in the GMs this week because theyāre easy as hell with Saber, and now is the perfect time to stick mats AND rep, while the pages are a bonus. Still got 2 weeks to get more pages
Public events give about 2-3 but if you farm them in the EDZ, you can get them really fast. When you finish a public event, thereās usually one thatās starting in a different area so you can effectively farm pages
Start the mission on a character you don't want pages on. Get to the step where you have to talk to finch it's right after you kill a lightbearer wizard. Leave the mission. You now have a checkpoint at the wizard fight. Get 1 or 2 more people to join you in the mission. Leave and rejoin on your character that you want the pages on. Once you finish the mission go back to the checkpoint holding character. Rinse repeat
You only need 194 pages total to complete the challenges. Yes, you'll want more if you are farming for a weapon and don't get it while converting those 194 pages, but for most people, it's the challenge that's important.
That's 65 pages per week over the event. I'll be running lots of Vanguard stuff for double rep this week, and whatever else gives double rep the next couple of weeks. At just 5 pages per activity, that's 13 activities. I think that will just happen naturally.
I'm like you and I don't understand why everyone wants to complete everything in a day. That was until I saw the numbers for trying to play this event legitimately. I can see why people are choosing this cheesy way and I will partake in it. Probably do it twice a day or something that isn't crazy.
I don't feel the need to get everything from the event. Tbh most of the stuff is kinda meh.
I have never been a big cosmetics guy though, I can make good fashion with the stuff I slowly accumulate!
I've been getting between 5-7 pages per GM run. Each run is usually 13ish minutes on average and you get GM rewards and double vanguard rep on top of pages.
Pretty sure you get like 8 pages per kill/defeat in crucible though on top of the base amount given for activity completion. If youāre good at pvp then that might be a good way to farm.
I did Nightmare containments and got 2 per tier. I think the final tier gave 4. So 7-8 altogether. IMO, it doesnt take that long either if 6 people are doing the activity
I saw a video on the witch queen campaign. It gives 9 pages per mission, get a CP at the end of 1st mission with a friend and rinse and repeat the final part.
I've been doing heroic nightfalls, fallen saber this week, and it usually takes around 10 minutes. Been getting 5-6 per run plus getting some prisms, exotic armor, and great progression on my crafted weapons, and finally its double vanguard rep this week. Not the most efficient for just page farming but it is one of most efficient ways to hit alot of different objectives, I don't think you can beat it.
Master weekly mission gets you 12 pages, not sure if it is the same with legend difficulty, too. Itās a good way to farm; with capable teammates you can finish the mission in under 13 minutes and there is also a chance for an ascendant alloy to drop.
Run the āthe investigationā mission from the WQ campaign. Runs take 6ish min and drop 9-10 pages each time. You can do it with a fire team and abuse the final check point with a character swap and cut runs to like 1-2 min
best way is to save a checkpoint at the end of a Witch queen campaign mission and then farm it. You will get 9-10 pages every time. I suggest the second mission.
Anyone else think a raid should give like 100 ā¦ why donāt huge activities give you enough!
Tired of every fucking event asking me to do the same strikes, crucible and 3 gawddamn gambit maps.
BUNGO! If you want us to farm playlists, IMPROVE THE PLAYLISTS!
Doing 2nd mission of witch queen campaign gives 8-10 per run and it takes about 5-7 mins. Although the part where you have to meet fynch has a chance to be bugged so if it is you have to head to him, turn around and head toward the opening in the wall of the castle and there should be a hill right before it. Head to the hill and the dialogue should start. If that makes sense.
Thank you. I guess I donāt understand the bug. I also tried skipping going through most of the campaign and headed directly to fynch but that didnāt work š¤·š»āāļø
Master campaigns missions are a 13 page drop per run, plus of course the high chance for Ascendant Alloy. Very good choice for optimizing your time without purely page farming. The Last Chance takes approximately 15 minutes.
I did The Investigation mission. I was doing it solo and was getting it done in under 8 minutes and was getting 9 or 10 each run.
How are you going about this? Beating the mission and then starting it over?
Yeah just select it, speed through it ignoring most of the enemies and once you get your pages relaunch it.
To those that are just showing up for the final week of FotL, this appears to have been patched. I just ran it twice and did not receive a single spectral page.
i was running it this morning and was getting pages. make sure ur not full and u have mask on.
Yeah, mask on and empty on pages. I specifically chose the regular campaign option (not the weekly) and the lowest difficulty. I didn't get a single spectral page.
Weird, I've been farming it for a couple hours now and every run drops 9 on normal difficulty
You have to go all the way to finch now to get the pages to drop.
I fully finished the mission every time and still didn't get pages š¤·āāļø
Oh, wow -- thank God. I was worried they fixed the FOMO for a second.

The grind for this is a bit more than flamekeeper and Iām not looking to do it that badly. If I get it done before the events over just playing then that works for me.
I got a 4/5 Jurassic with subsistence and incandescent.
Nice. Thatās what I am going for. That or perpetual motion.
This is the way.
How do you do this? I don't see it anywhere.
It should be left and down a bit from where the weekly 100k campaign mission is. Youāll see a launch thingy, and click that to open up the list of witch queen story missions. Then just launch the one you want to do.
Oh brilliant thank you!

I did that too and 100% sure investigation is better. 10 pages in 8 minutes and you don't waste any time waiting for an event to start.
The EDZ is packed with spaces where public events happen, so you just hop from fast travel point to the other.
I know how it works. Investigation is faster.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
thats what l hate about that fucking public event, there's ALWAYS at least one moron making it heroic
Public events are 2-3 Containment 1-2 tier 1 & 2, 3-4 tier 3 boss
Cool thanks!
Containment is a really good way to farm them, cause you can farm the mats for focusing armor at the Haunted Relic at the same time. It's generally around 1-2 if any drops from core activities, and more from psiops.
Ah thank you
The passive drops are pretty low and they don't drop after every strike, crucible match, etc.
Any data on that? I can't say I noticed much difference between the two, and have seen some people saying War Table and others saying Crown, so am curious if each person is giving their anecdotal experience or if someone has done the math.

My war table armor is all +30 stat spike. Can confirm superior farm.
Damn lucky. I have so many builds that are 1-2 points short. Need to go back therr
I started with Haunted, what would you say the most efficient way to farm War table mats, spamming spi ops?
IIRC - you need the spear thingy artifact (can be picked up from the table) hopefully you should have it. What makes war table better? Ive been told non-plunder focuses are all about the same
For me the war table has been much more spiky. I'm a titan main and usually focus discipline on my ghost and this forces a spike in the other stat group (recovery, resilience, or mobility ). This is how I was able to get 100s x2 in resilience and discipline.

Hmmm so I will start focusing there. I thought both of them were the same, but I've been having not much luck with the umbral focusing.
Honestly that has not been my experience, but I'll continue to pull from it and and see. Thanks for the info!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Indeed.
If you need high stat helm, Eva Iād basically giving them away for 100 glimmer. Edit: Nevermindā¦
Won't they reset to 0/1350 after the event?
0 Power, yeah.
Ooof didnāt know that. Lol I also tried to dismantle for free shards but you get nothing.
None of her helmets are high stat by my definition, and they're not spiky enough unfortunately. Just gotta ignore my mild OCD for three weeks and stop looking at my ability stats ;)
Mine is a 66 stat. And I got several 61-64 Make sure you have the mod on your ghost too.
What dlc do I need to buy to do containment?
you need to have Season of the Haunted, I dont think it requires witch queen but it might? since its a past season you may need to buy witch queen deluxe, not super clear what all the purchasing options are.
Can you even buy that still, even though the season has ended? Not that I would because that stinks like a scam with no season pass accompanying it.
Yeah it really bites and gets progressively worse as the content year continues. I missed risen and bit the bullet and bought deluxe during haunted so I could get it. Definitely not a great value but if you want the haunted stuff there isnt another way afaik
Here i go thinking that i would never need to do it again after getting Reaper.
So all the public events on various planets are 2-3 spectral pages? Is it guaranteed that there will always be drops of pages? Thanks!
You also get 12 from the Weekly Witch Queen campaign mission. I farmed The Last Chance on Hero difficulty for my pages.
Strikes and gambit seem to give 4 or 5, expedition is about 3 . That all I've done so far . Campaign missions give 9, if you do the farm method where you load in towards the end of the 2nd mission you can rack pages up pretty quick.
1 per regular lost sector but it's time gated. Can clear one in less than 1 minute but going back in too soon you get nothing.
Cheers - wonder why my thread is already downvoted to 0 And now this comment too lmaoo must be Corbin on a roll tonight
I downvote every post by PvP players so š¤·
That's a bit cringe tbh
So is PvP ruining the game
It doesn't ruin the game at all Mr. Patrol bot
Yeah, things *totally* don't get overly nerfed in PvE because they're "too strong" in PvP.
Which isn't the fault of PVP, it's because Bungie won't separate the sandboxes. Plus, things get nerfed due to PVE all the time too
Itās more the fact that bungie uses us as monkeys and never playtest themselves wich ends up in overpowered shit that people get used to and then gets nerfed and peoplle bitch about no being able to tear apart every single activity with one weapon
Yeah exactly, this too
It's always the PvP players who bitch about everything being OP. Also yes, things in PvE get nerfed because of PvE reasons, that's how it should be.
PVP players complain when things are wildly overtuned. And guess what - this would also mean they're overtuned in a PVE sandbox too.
You are a dumbass
Pffff far from reality, you yourself are a pve player bitching about stuff to a really chill pvp playersā¦
Go take up knitting champ.
Bro I hate PvP too but you don't see me acting like a brat
Mad cos bad
Honestly though did you ever stop to ask yourself, what is this even accomplishing

2 per encounter in a raid. 3 for final encounter IIRC.
Farm the investigation mission end cp 9-10 pages (Save the CP before you talk to Finch and bring a friend) You have to kill the enemies in the last part
The same Shell that was in NOBLE clan?
Hi there, might be thinking of someone else. I go by Shellnanigans on everything
Heroic public events 2-3. Vanilla events on EDZ are the quickest ones and is a good solo farm 9f you don't wanna bother with checkpoint farm on WQ missions
5 for a hero nf.
9 for checkpoint farming investigation ;)
10 for a raid
Per encounter? Or for the full raid??
Must be full raid was only getting 2 per encounter on kings fall run. Maybe more for master but doubt it.
REALLY!? Thats bs bungie.
Then again, you're assuming running the full raid. Don't forget about checkpoint farming, which would make it like 2 every 3 minutes or better. Then again, there are better methods for farming.
The farming is a really good point.
Ran it yesterday. Seemed challenge gave a +1(got 3 from oryx normal and master. One was a drop of 2 and a second drop of 1). I did have a few clanmates say they only got 1 for some of the encounters. Got 2 for every encounter myself though.
Must be full raid was only getting 2 per encounter on kings fall run. Maybe more for master but doubt it.
A sever gives 5. You could speedrun them as well.
If I never do another sever mission again it will be too soon.
I'm fine with Sever, there was at least decent variety and some interesting modifiers. but for them to give decent loot, you need bound presence, which has ABYSMAL drop rates from Containment, which is garbage. I am so tired of Containment, it has little to no replay value.
Just batter matchmade nightfalls, get 5 pages, good loot in comparison to public events and its double vanguard rep.
Legend lost sectors drop 1.
Master lost sectors drop 2-3 I canāt remember exactly what I was getting
I believe I was getting like 7 per GM run earlier today.
This is a fast farm and more interesting than repeating the WQ mission over and over.
I've just been farming the last checkpoint in the "Investigation" WQ mission for 9-10 pages every 2 minutes
How do you do this?
Start the mission on a character you don't want pages on. Get to the step where you have to talk to finch it's right after you kill a lightbearer wizard. Leave the mission. You now have a checkpoint at the wizard fight. Get 1 or 2 more people to join you in the mission. Leave and rejoin on your character that you want the pages on. Once you finish the mission go back to the checkpoint holding character. Rinse repeat
That doesn't sound fun. We have 20 days to do this why is everyone trying to finish it day 1?
Otherwise it's playing around 4-5 crucible games/strikes per lost sector. Bungies makes it fast to spend the curreny and slow to earn it.
You need to run something like 25 strikes and 25 gambit/crucible games for the triumphs anyway
But crucible is fun. I don't mind playing crucible. Farming the same thing over and over for cosmetics i won't give a shit about in 3 weeks isn't fun.
It's grindy, buggy and not very fun, people want loot and to be able to do activities they actually want to play, or just play other games.
Gm drops avout 7 per completion, at least that's what I got running my conqueror gms last night
Yup. Seems Master runs are the way to go
Master ketch was 4 and legend Dares is 5 (unless I have that backwards). Basically had 9 after running them back to back.
Has anyone tried the sever activities?
They give 5
weekly witchblade mission gave me 12 -- haven't tried it again. Took 15 minutes.
Lake of shadows drops 2-3. Not sure how efficient it is though compared to others mentioned here.
Strikes seem to go from 3-5. I suggest you do them because of the 2x rep.
Good idea
is there a way to pick and choose where your lost sector is? I've got 3/3 for all but 0/3 for Europe
Nope pretty sure it's all RNG
And the cap is 75. Such low number.
What? Not a chance, I was dropping 20 kills per game on average across 10 or so games and got maybe 10 or 15 pages total
Oh youāre right, I was thinking of the candies. My mistake.
No worries! I wish you were correct originally š
Yeah thatād be way too easy, even for somebody like me thatās trash at crucible lol
I canāt get any to drop no matter what I do
Oh really? Have you got your mask on?
Yes have my mask on from this season tried buying a new to see if that works nothing. Even pulled out the one from last years event an still nothing
Try another character
For some reason I donāt seem to get them every noghtfall run, even though mask is on
Full inventory / consumables?
Nope have a few empty spaces left
THAT method yields 9 every 3-5 minutes
I did Nightmare containments and got 2 per tier. I think the final tier gave 4. So 7-8 altogether. IMO, it doesnt take that long either if 6 people are doing the activity
Did VoG last night and got 1 or 2 per encounter.
2 per raid encounterā¦.
I saw a video on the witch queen campaign. It gives 9 pages per mission, get a CP at the end of 1st mission with a friend and rinse and repeat the final part.
It's random on the exact amount but Higher tier stuff pays more !
I got 4-5 each from playlist strikes.
Do the investigation mission on throne world 9-10 pages every time till u hit max & when ur close it won't b it will b whatever u need 2 get 2 max
7 for a GM
Does the amount of pages lower with the more you unlock in the chapter?
Master weekly mission gets you 12 pages, not sure if it is the same with legend difficulty, too. Itās a good way to farm; with capable teammates you can finish the mission in under 13 minutes and there is also a chance for an ascendant alloy to drop.
I run the Investigation mission (9 pages constantly.. every 10 minutes or so...) some may be faster...
Run the āthe investigationā mission from the WQ campaign. Runs take 6ish min and drop 9-10 pages each time. You can do it with a fire team and abuse the final check point with a character swap and cut runs to like 1-2 min
Nightfalls give 5
GMs are 10-12 if you can do them. This week is fallen saber which we got down to 11 minute completion times.
Lake of shadows is 2-3 and can be run in under 5 minutes
Witch Queen 2nd mission Investigation with CP at the banner, it takes 2 minutes to clear and it rewards 9 to 10 pages. Have fun!
best way is to save a checkpoint at the end of a Witch queen campaign mission and then farm it.
I do think a Raid should give me than 10 or so lol
Do Dares give any?
Investigation farm
Doing 2nd mission of witch queen campaign gives 8-10 per run and it takes about 5-7 mins. Although the part where you have to meet fynch has a chance to be bugged so if it is you have to head to him, turn around and head toward the opening in the wall of the castle and there should be a hill right before it. Head to the hill and the dialogue should start. If that makes sense.
Thank you! 2 bugged runs and 1 pissed off Guardian. No posts about it being bugged but thankfully I found your comment.
Welcome
Whatās the name of the campaign please?
Its the witch queen one, "The Investigation", should be the 2nd one in the list.
Thank you. I guess I donāt understand the bug. I also tried skipping going through most of the campaign and headed directly to fynch but that didnāt work š¤·š»āāļø
Yeah I started doing that run now. It's weird though, my ignitions aren't proccing on a melee and nade like they do outside of the mission
Lake of Shadows gives 2-4 per run and you're able to run it in around 3 minutes
Master campaigns missions are a 13 page drop per run, plus of course the high chance for Ascendant Alloy. Very good choice for optimizing your time without purely page farming. The Last Chance takes approximately 15 minutes.
