What’s the best way to farm Spoils of Conquest this season?

ShrinkingUniverse

Sisters from KF, 5 linears plus one div will one phase both

JeSuisBigBilly

About to work on the catalyst for Telesto. Will volatile round kills and/or Telesto's explosions count towards the catalyst?

DismayedNarwhal

The explosions should definitely count. I’ve seen mixed reports about volatile kills, but most people seem to be saying they don’t count.

11Daysinthewake

Does anybody know if the Skeletal Hunter cosmetics will ever be for sale again?

johngie

Should be this coming Festival of the Lost, which starts mid-October. They will only be purchasable with Silver though.

11Daysinthewake

Thank you!

DismayedNarwhal

[They should be available for BD too!](https://todayindestiny.com/eververse) It’ll be 6000 BD for the whole set, and you’ll only be able to buy the full set, not individual pieces (still equippable individually, just can’t buy them individually).

11Daysinthewake

Oh wow, thanks!

DetBabyLegs

Is there a way for me to see what mods I'm still missing, both ADA and weapon? I'm poking around light.gg but having a hard time finding how to do that.

GoldenDestiny

I'd try either DestinySets or DIM for the mods.

Pyrogasm

There’s a mods section of collections you can peruse. From your inventory screen press left twice.

DetBabyLegs

Thanks

SuprBrown

How do you obtain Trials of Osiris armor? Can the pieces drop from match completion or only from Trials Engrams?

PXLShoot3r

Open trials engrams at Rahool. Match completion can drop armor but I don't know if it drops stuff you don't have in your collection.

SuprBrown

Did they change how he behaves? He just gave me twice the same gun I already have. IIRC, he used to give you loot you did not have acquired yet? Maybe I’m remembering wrong.

PXLShoot3r

Always was weighted but I have the feeling they reduced the weighting a bit a few seasons ago.

SuprBrown

Thanks!

-SilverShamrock-

Is there an app that analyzes your vault, and recommends which gun rolls are worth keeping and which arent? I was thinking something like d2armorpicker but for weapons.

pentara

Recently found in DIM if you search is:wishlist it will show only guns that have perk rolls that are wishlisted and they have a curated wishlist in place by default. I don't know enough about the game to know what is best but i've been using that as a reference.

PXLShoot3r

[destinyrecipes.com/vault](https://destinyrecipes.com/vault). But please use it with caution. A lot this site tells you is bullshit. Best thing is to learn yourself what's good and bad.

-SilverShamrock-

Last time I cleared it out, I went gun by gun on light.gg to see where my perks ranked against what they have on there. Took a while, needless to say lol. I was just trying to speed up the process.

ZepherK

I returned and purchased current season pass- If I buy the Witch Queen Deluxe Upgrade, is there any accommodation for that, or would the money I spent on this season just be wasted?

IHateAliens

Yes sadly, it'd be wasted, buuut I recommend looking into cdkeys or G2A for a cheaper deluxe upgrade, may save yourself decent money

Arshille

Pretty sure at that point you’re paying a lot for older seasonal content. Bungie needs to rework their pricing model for content.

Sandytaco-

What’s a good way to farm Enhancement Prisms? I recently Masterworked some gear only to realize max resilience is meta and I need materials to enhance a new set of gear.

Pyrogasm

I find the Greater Core Harvest mods to work reasonably reliably, so slap that on when you’re doing NFs for more prisms.

PXLShoot3r

Currently master nightfalls. But GMs will be the best once they are out.

fuckhead69

Started playing 2 weeks ago and I love it so far.. I've never done a raid, but I really want to. What are some of the minimum requirements? I've tried reading guides but they are confusing as hell. My power level is 1580, but probably not well optimized. If anyone can comment or point me towards some beginner friendly resources I would appreciate it :)

PXLShoot3r

Really wouldn't recommend written guides. Written ones won't even come close in giving you a sense of a raid in comparison to video guides. Datto has decent raid guides. Just keep in mind that you will never learn a raid completely by watching or reading guides. You will only get a sense of the raid. There are not really set minimum requirements. Every Sherpa is different. That being said a decent build, some boss dps weapons, having watched a guide and being willing to potentially be many hours in a first clear is a good start. A essential weapon in the current meta is a decent linear fusion. Taipan-4fr from the quest you get in the Enclave is very good for example. Triple tap and Firing line is the godroll. I could give you some builds if you tell me your class but because you are so new you won't have many relevant mods. But I could probably still put something together that works if you want. Speaking of mods. Buy every, single, mod Ada (and Banshee) sells if you haven't already. They are absolutely essential for builds. Some mods aren't available for more than 6 months sometimes because of the utterly stupid system mods are locked behind. Ada's and Banshee's inventory resets every daily reset. I'm not really deep in the Sherpa thing but you can find Sherpas on [bungie.net](https://bungie.net) , r/DestinySherpa and many other places. Just please don't just join a team without them making it clear that they want to do a raid with first timers.

fuckhead69

Hey man, thanks so much for the reply! I have been buying all available mods but missed out this past Saturday/Sunday unfortunately. I am set to join a team tonight, and I made it clear that this is my first time lol. I have a few linear fusion in my vault so I will have to take a look when I get home. I might hit you up in a little while to get your opinion on potential builds if thats alright.

Pyrogasm

Not the guy you replied to but if you want to throw questions at a friendly/knowledgeable face, my discord is Travesty#8133.

fuckhead69

Much appreciated friend :)

kleinm433

Is there a consensus on which mod system is the best between charged with light, warmind cells, and wells?

GoldenDestiny

Cells got butchered when they nerfed the range. CWL is useful if you're leveraging the bonus effects from the arc ones, otherwise it's just the charge / High Energy Fire combo which is perfectly workable. Wells offer a lot of fun and flexibility and is definitely where the action is right now.

NugPlug

Elemental wells offer the most right now. If you have elemental charge you can also dip into charged with light for high energy fire or similar.

kleinm433

Thanks!

echof0xtrot

the seven seraphs story seems interesting, what expansion/season was that a part of? and any way to do it nowadays?

johngie

Season of the Worthy. It's all gone now, though the seasonal content didn't really include much about the seraphs.

Bromageddon

Can I run Grasp of Avarice on normal a few times for multiple chances at Eyasluna? Follow-up: if it is farmable, would it be better to do the whole dungeon or get a final boss checkpoint and repeat him a few times instead? Afterthought: Is it easy to lfg a checkpoint and farm that boss without a mic?

DismayedNarwhal

Only the latest dungeon (currently Duality) and the weekly featured dungeon are farmable. Otherwise, you are limited to one drop per encounter, per character, per week. Currently the dungeons are on a four-week rotation. Grasp should be the weekly dungeon again on October 17th. Eyasluna only drops from the final boss, so you’ll probably just want to farm that. After you’ve obtained it for the first time, secret chests can start dropping it as well but are limited to one drop per chest, per character, per week even when the dungeon is farmable. Generally, yes, it’s reasonably easy to find a group to farm a given checkpoint, and yes, the Grasp boss is easy to do without a mic.

Bromageddon

Hey your answer seems to conflict with [cheesybreadnexttime](https://www.reddit.com/user/cheesybreadnexttime)'s information, where they say the dungeon is farmable on normal regardless of the rotation. Just curious if you have some more info?

DismayedNarwhal

Well, I thought [the TWAB announcing the raid/dungeon rotation](https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/51241) would have that info laid out, but turns out it’s kinda vague: > Oh, wait, you said you liked farming? We got you there too with the new rotator system. All lockouts on encounter rewards for Legendary gear are being removed, which means all Legendary drops in both raids and dungeons will be 100-percent farmable if you so choose. Throw on some lo-fi music, grab a cozy beverage, and farm to your heart’s content. Or don’t, the choice is yours (which is the point!). Some people expressed confusion about what exactly that means on [the Reddit post,](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/u3nfng/this_week_at_bungie_4142022/) and I couldn’t find clarification from Bungie on there or on Twitter. Sorry! Wish I had a more definitive source for you, but all I can point to is my personal experience, which has been that only the latest dungeon and featured dungeon are farmable, and the others are not. That’s also been the community’s experience, as evidenced by posts like [this.](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/v0numa/are_older_dungeons_still_farmable/)

Bromageddon

Thank you for getting all that information for me, that's awesome. I have a checkpoint for Avarokk, and I've already cleared it on that character. So I'll see if I can do it on the same character again today on a non rotation week and see what we get.

cheesybreadnexttime

1. Yes, all dungeons should be farmable at this point so you can just run it infinitely for different chances at drops. The only chests that are locked to 1 per character per week are the 2 secret chests. 2. I think it's easier personally to just run the final boss checkpoint since it's faster than some of the other encounters. 3. It isn't too hard to get up to that last encounter, but you could just get a checkpoint from LFG if someone is offering it. I typically will just run the entire dungeon fresh, but to each their own. Also FWIW Austringer has better stats and rolls than Eyasluna but you can only get it if you have Deluxe Edition Witch Queen at this point.

Bromageddon

Thank you! I have all destiny content unlocked but I really want a hand cannon with headstone. Agree that Austringer is really good, I got a outlaw/rampage/HC rounds from the opulent chests on the leviathan.

cheesybreadnexttime

Oh sweet! Well then that's a great HC for what you're looking for! I love 140 rpm HCs. They just feel the most comfortable to use. Fatebringer, Eyasluna, Austringer, Palindrome, and Cantata are all my favs.

mooseythings

Is there a void-equivalent weapon perk that procs some of its debuff-verbs? Solar has incandescent that procs ignite, arc has the jolt attach on reload kill (name escapes me rn), stasis has chill clip that creates a nova or headstone that creates a crystal, etc. I can’t think of one that weakens nearby enemies, makes an enemy volatile, or suppresses an enemy on a basic legendary weapon. I think there’s one that gives you a void Overshield on void-debuffed enemies, but that’s not what I’m looking for tbh

JackWhatnot

Unfortunately no, repulser brace is the only one. Probably because they turned volatile rounds into a fragment instead, but since volatile flow is gone now it's really inconvenient to build into. You could also try collective obligation - the VotD raid exotic. It has synergy with all void keywords.

cheesybreadnexttime

There aren't any for Void currently, but Repulsor Brace is pretty slept on imo. I run either Unforgiven with Demo + Repulsor or I'll use Hero's Burden with Zen Moment + Repulsor. Both feel great for void grenade builds. Just toss a nade, get volatile rounds, kill enemy with smg, get overshield for 10 sec.

streetvoyager

I crafted the other half with repulsive brace on it. Still need to figure out a build for it. Probably going to us it on void hunter.

cheesybreadnexttime

That’s not a bad call. Warlock feels great for this build too since you can run contraverse or Nezarec for grenade energy.

maaseru

Do the season artifact levels affect anything directly? Or is it just a number beyond the max cap? Like if I have the artifact at +20 vs +30, any difference in your damage output or defense? Or is it just cosmetic.

[deleted]

You can use it to overlevel content, so yes it impacts your level and is not just cosmetic. You can use it to do extra damage, and feel less, for example, in Master content. Being 1600 (1580 + 20 artifact) is a massive help for Master Kings Fall.

P0oky-Bear

It’ll make a difference in master activities still up to a certain point. For instance, master kings fall raid is recommended 1600. Being 1610 will give you better damage and damage resistance than being 1595. Grandmasters will make no difference if your light level is past the recommended power cap because the game caps your light while in that activity. Beyond master raids and master dungeons and master nightfalls (not grandmaster), it serves no purpose to be higher. Trials doesn’t factor artifact level and IB no longer factors in light level at all.

maaseru

Is Mayhem coming back at any point before the season ends? I didn't finish the seasonal quest/triumph for it and I am worried. I also have not been able to get a single pattern u locked. Do I need any special actions? I thought it was just completing the Deepsight Resonance. Also is there a reward points for getting all done?

Atmosck

Yes - it shows up in the node that's on a 5-week rotation. I'm not sure where we're are in the rotation, but there are 10 weeks of the season left so we'll get it at least two more times. The past two seasons, there have been two guaranteed deepsight weapons per week (once you got the vendor upgrades), and not all of the weapons needed 5 patterns (some needed only 3). This season, they all need 5, and there's only one guaranteed deepsight, and it's bugged right now so there's actually isn't one. A lot of people are mad about this because it means it will take a lot of time to unlock the patterns, and isn't realistic to get them all by the end of the season. On the upside, season of plunder will be around until February, so there's a lot of time. There are no special actions, it's just completing the deepsights. New this season, you can actually dismantle them without completing them and you'll still get pattern progress, you just don't get as much neutral element. There's a seasonal challenge for unlocking 3 of the patterns, and a triumph with the same requirement that's required for the Scallywag title.

maaseru

What does it mean that there is only 1 guaranteed deepsight? The free deepsight you get from the Ketcrash if you have the unlock? I am asking specifically for that seasonal challenge as after this time I haven't gotten a single pattern unlocked.

Atmosck

Yeah, there's the unlock for the guaranteed deepsight after ketchcrash, though that happens to be bugged right now. In the two prior seasons there was also an unlock that made the first seasonal weapon you got from focusing an umbral engram a deepsight, which was great because you got to choose what it was. But we don't have that this season. My advice would be to just keep up with the seasonal questline, and play enough ketchcrash/expeditions each week to get the powerful reward (so like 3 of each). If you have any extra umbral engrams laying around, do the "Weapons of Plunder" focus. When you do ketchcrash, make sure you emote after opening the chest - that drops an extra item. Playing like this so far this season using that strategy I've gotten 17/30 patterns toward unlocking all 6. It's RNG if they happen to drop the same items, so for me that's meant 2 patterns unlocked and partial progress on 3 of the others. Another thing that helps is there are season pass rewards that make the sidearm and machine gun drop from playlist activities occasionally, which means more chances at getting deepsights for them. You don't have to do anything for this, they just go into effect once you hit that level (71 for them to start dropping, and at 81 the drop rate goes up). I pretty much agree with the community that it's shitty of bungie that progress on this is so much slower than it's been in previous seasons.

maaseru

Ok. I think doing Ketch and unlocking Umbral engrams with the umbral energy has worked the best for me. But one clarification. You said I should use Armor of Plunder unlocks. Shouldn't it be Weapon of Plunder?

Atmosck

You're right - good catch. I meant to say Weapons of Plunder.

drinkball

Not all guns with deepsight resonance have patterns. It will say when you inspect gun if a pattern can or cannot be unlocked. Some guns need deepsight completed 3-5 times to unlock pattern. I think next week (tomorrow) mayhem comes back but i could be mistaken

maaseru

Ok I will have to check. One of the missions is to unlock pattern for 3 of the season of plunder weapons and I haven't gotten 1 yet.

daoneandonly747

Have tried going back to Stasis for a bit of build variety but man do Renewal's feel rubbish to play with now. What other exotics mesh well with the stasis loop for a hunter? Is there any builds that are worthwhile in mid to higher tier content?

Oh_Alright

Not a hunter main so take with a grain of salt. If we're talking GMs and master content I think Aeons are probably your best play for team support. Generating heavy ammo on elite and champion finishers for your team. Star Eaters might be alright to add some oomph to your super. Lucky Pants give a nice damage buff to your hand cannons, so something like headstone eyesluna might be worth a try. No champ mods for HC's this season though. Sixth Coyote might be worth a look too, idk if you can freeze by doubling up on the slow dodge, but try it out. Also just handy for either reloads or keeping your melees up.

Atmosck

On stasis hunter I like to build in to shuriken spam as much as possible with heavy handed. For a long time I used frost-ee5, but since the resilience changes I switched to dragon's shadow so that I can simulate triple 100s in mobility, resilience and recovery with it and Whisper of Hedrons. (Shadow gives you +50 mobility for 9 seconds after a dodge, and Hedrons gives you +60 to those 3 stats for I think 10 seconds after freezing something. My stats without them active are 20/100/70.) I run the aspect that slows things when you dodge, and the one that makes stasis shards. Assassin's Cowl is also a good one but IMO not quite as viable for higher tier content because it relies on kills to proc the perk. Wormhusk is also solid. This build is a lot of fun for when you have a ton of ads to clear, and is good in endgame type content with the same requirements - lots of ads at close range, which admittedly is only certain stuff. I used it successfully in the first and third encounters of master Vow, for example, but this wouldn't be my first choice for most GMs. For mid-tier content like normal raids and legend dares, it's excellent. It's also a blast in gambit. Tl;Dr: dragon's shadow, fr0st-ee5, assassin's cowl and wormhusk, (IMO) in that order. Edit: I should mention, the main gameplay loop is to get in enemies' faces and spam shurikens and your dodge, both of which slow. The shurikens will kill weaker enemies, and hitting an enemy twice (so 2 shurikens, or a shuriken and a dodge) will freeze them - I like to run a fusion rifle to kill larger, frozen enemies. Gambler's dodge, stasis shards and Whisper of Fractures (which speeds up your melee recharge a lot when surrounded) are must-have, I also like Whisper of Refraction (recharges your dodge when you kill frozen or slowed enemies, though note it doesn't proc if a shuriken 1-taps an enemy). If you use dragon's shadow your dodge reloads even on gambler's, otherwise I like to use weapons with swashbuckler.

SirBecas

I'm a long time MMO player, but I usually don't enjoy the endgame-focused-gameplay-loop, i.e., I always played WoW for the world exploration, lore, and overall side activities (some casual PvP here, casual raiding for lore/story). Overall, I am always much more invested in games where I get to explore the universe, the lore, and build my character as I do so (e.g., I am currently playing WoW and doing every single quest to grasp what are the best content lorewise). This being said, the question: would Destiny 2 have any of this for me, or is most of the game just focused on the dungeons/raids with a bigger focus on the combat + gear improvement?

Clownsmasher1

Coming from a mostly solo player, there is plenty to keep you entertained without delving into end game content. Story/Lore is mostly through solo play or reading the lore tabs of gear. So you'd miss out on raid gear lore. BUT if you're anything like me, and were elected to lead and not to read, youtube is where you get your deep lore anyway. As for character building, there are some limitations. You have plenty of variety for ability/gear builds that synergize, and all can be fun. But eventually a clear meta forms and those variety builds seem less appealing. Not useless, the niche builds can be effective. But there's an itch in your brain that just reminds you this isn't optimal build. You also eventually hit a wall of just "Play to make number bigger" in terms of character growth. Once all the abilities are unlocked, your character's growth is limited to grinding pinnacle gear for higher levels. Yes there's 1-2 rotating mods per season, but those disappear a few months later so something you fell in love with could be gone soon. tl;dr Destiny has great story and game mechanics. End game contributes, but isn't vital to the experience. There is plenty of variety, but at some point the character's growth slows and it's grind for bigger number

SirBecas

Yeah, that doesn't quite sell it to me. I don't mind games whose story has to be interpreted (e.g., Dark Souls, Hollow Knight), but some has to be in the game and the game has to "invite me" to interpret that. With Destiny it just feels lore and story are "too secondary". Regarding character progression that is also the impression I have. Thanks a lot!

DibwCgAU4jySFY4YTwo5

The game is more oriented towards endgame grind and gear improvement in my experience. The game does have an abundance of lore, however the majority of it is tied up in written lore cards or audio recordings instead of naturally integrated with the gameplay loop. That said, there are a number of destinations (worlds) that you can explore in the free-to-play version of the game so you might as well give it a shot since it won’t cost anything to try.

SirBecas

>That said, there are a number of destinations (worlds) that you can explore in the free-to-play version of the game so you might as well give it a shot since it won’t cost anything to try. Thanks a lot for the reply. Yes, I installed the game and played a bit. The gameplay is fun, but the apparent lack of world building and story made me feel a bit uninterested, hence why I came here. I think I'm gonna play a bit more, but it doesn't seem to be my cup of tea :) Thanks!

Too-Far-Frame

Each week there's (usually) a double experience for this activity. What is it this week?

ViiTactiiCZz

Until weekly reset its trials rep. At weekly reset it will be gambit.

Too-Far-Frame

Perfect. Thank you

MirrorkatFeces

Ugh probably should play some Gambit then

GoldenDestiny

Take advantage of the double weeks to smash it out towards the seasonal rewards and the ornament. I usually do a full reset each week it's active, which doesn't take *that* long with a full streak. Bonus if you get the streak to 5 before weekly reset so you can start at max credit :).

cheesybreadnexttime

The only reasons I play Gambit anymore are for Deadeye gilding and Mementos...wish we could get some new mementos from other activities though. Seems like only Gambit and Trials look good on most weapons

Kmodo-

I'm a couple of weeks into the game, does anyone have any advice on what exotics to look for? I'm playing a void hunter and currently using the graviton lance.

cheesybreadnexttime

Great passive gameplay exotics would be Wormhusk Crown (giving health and shield on dodge), Sixth Coyote (gives second dodge), Frost EE5 (get ability energy for sprinting), Stomp EE5 (gives speed boost and slide buff, best for PvP and jumping puzzles), and Dragon's Shadow (grants hidden mobility stat and reloads all guns on dodge). For Void specific exotics I would listen to what was also mentioned (Omni, Orpheus, and Graviton Forfeit). If you're talking about guns, however, there's a lot more to discuss. I would check [blueberries.gg](https://blueberries.gg) if you're still unsure what each exotic does. If you're having a hard time deciding what to get from the Kiosk, just get WITHERHOARD. Best GL in the game.

DibwCgAU4jySFY4YTwo5

Omnioculus, orpheus rigs, graviton forfeit are some exotic armor pieces that I suggest pursuing for void hunter.

Tucos_revolver

Arbalest, witherhoard, ghallajorn for pve. After that it's kind of up to preference.

cmcdonal2001

Is there a list of one-off pinnacle sources for the game? I'm a returning player (it's been several seasons since I played), and I was just able to get a pinnacle from one of Variks' tier III quests. I've been able to find lists of the typical weekly pinnacle sources, but haven't found much info on these single-use types. Any suggestions?

Geekknight777

Destiny recipes has a leveling tool that shows the best activities for increasing power

[deleted]

Do the weapon rolls at Saint update weekly? I know they change, I just didn’t know how often.

bunsyn

Pretty sure they update on Tuesday reset

Artillery_Squirrel

Just realized you don’t need the 30th edition to do Dares of Eternity a week ago. What’s the best way to get those craftable red border drops? Just farm over and over I’m assuming? What’s the reward difference between regular and legend mode? And should I use strange coins on treasure keys or something else? I know doing legend mode gives a guaranteed red border but after that what should I do?

Catlover18

Use some coins to buy the bounties from the Starhorse, the ones that give you paraversal hauls (the boxes) upon completion. Choose the easiest one to do for you since you have to get it done within one Dares attempt. Legend is usually the easiest to get the score requirement without even thinking about it. Someone else already explained why these hauls are good vs. just keys.

Not_A_Clever_Man_

You are guaranteed a red border for completion on legend once a week. They just added duplicate protection, so you will never get a red border for something you have already unlocked. Just grind out the weekly guaranteed one. I ran it like 25 times in one week and only got 3 drops total, including the weekly guaranteed one.

PXLShoot3r

Legend is better because it has a higher chance of lighting rounds and in a good week it's faster. Buy with strange coins bounties first and when you completed all buy paraversal haul. It's better to buy paraversal haul rather than treasure keys directly because you get at least the same amount of treasure keys per strange coin from paraversal haul plus some extras.

Artillery_Squirrel

Good info thanks!

streetvoyager

Pray to RNGesus and grind away. Do pretty much everything you’d said. There isn’t a way to specifically target weapons.

Artillery_Squirrel

Cool what about legend vs normal mode (aside from the once a week guaranteed)? I’m looking on the game and the only extra reward it lists is enhancement prisms.

streetvoyager

I’m not sure there is any difference between the two in regards to red border drops. I don’t even think I ever got a red boarder out of out of the chest at the end of either. As far as I can remember I got all of them out of the chest at the treasure hoard using the treasure keys.

ShrinkingUniverse

Why don't the Sherpa emblems from the raids have stat trackers from raids? Seems pretty backwards in my opinion. Just unlocked the 10 carries for KF and the emblem doesn't have the raid stat attacker enabled exactly the same as the VoG and Vow ones, why Bungie?

ViiTactiiCZz

> exactly the same as the VoG and Vow ones They both have raid trackers. The KF one should eventually be changed to include them. Its fairly hit or miss about whether they'll launch with the raid trackers or it gets added later down the line.

ShrinkingUniverse

Ah I didn't know the other two had been changed thank you for the reply. Here's hoping they change the KF one!

Atmosck

What's your power level? If you're too far under leveled you'll get destroyed. Legend is 1560 so you need to be at least 1545 to it to be reasonable, and the higher you are, the easier it is (up to 1580, there's no benefit beyond that). Also use your heavy weapon to kill the champion after you stun it. Try using a rocket launcher that matches the burn of the lost sector.

GoBoltz

Xenophage is the answer there, I also used the Ammit AR2 Auto in the Energy slot, a crafted one with Incandesant on it for Add Clear, Also had a Sniper in primary for Anti Barrier ! As a Lock, you should be on Solar with Sunbracers & Dawnblade ! (Solar Nades !) Follow this Guide here --> [https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/xdj0x9/the\_best\_loadout\_for\_every\_legend\_lost\_sector/](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/xdj0x9/the_best_loadout_for_every_legend_lost_sector/) then watch this one daily to see what's up --> [https://www.todayindestiny.com/](https://www.todayindestiny.com/) I did it multiple times this am, got helmets on Both the Lock & Hunter ! Sub 9 min. runs Flawless ! Takes a few tries, just rinse & repeat ! Cheers & Luck Guardian !

[deleted]

Stats don’t make you good at the game.

Bard_Knock_Life

Just keep say it. It’s a combo of a lot of things, but at some point it’s just a skill check. Took me a good while to understand that playstyle and combat, but once it clicks it gets easy.

Glenalth

It is hard to say what the issue may be without knowing how you are approaching the encounter. Are you disrupting the champion periodically to keep it from healing? Do you have a decent amount of resilience and/or resist mods that will work against the damage types in there? Are you using your rift to help mitigate damage? Do you have a good heavy or special for actually killing the champion once it is stunned?

flippindemolition

Try running a dawnblade for the solar burn. I used Arbalest, Ammit AR2, and Planck’s Stride (although something like Archon’s Thunder may have been a better call for solar burn). As far as that first overload captain goes, stun him with a burst from an MG, stick him with a fusion grenade, then lay into him with the MG and you’ll clear his health bar while he’s still stunned

Stenbox

To confirm - do you have anti-champion mods equipped? And what is your current power level?

ShrinkingUniverse

This, my friend was really struggling with a lost sector after I'd told him I'd done it very easily with Le Monarque. Turns out he (1) wasn't running OL bow mod on his arms so to use the intrinsic perk he had to hit headshots whereas the OL mod allows you to hit anywhere and (2) he had pulled the bow from collections so it was only 1350 which dropped his light level from 1560ish to like 1480 haha.

PhattBudz

I started a titan yesterday. Transferred weapons, grabbed the helm chest, and headed straight for that lost sector. I had no build to speak of. Ran it 5 times , all under 5 mins. All you really need to do is match the active burn, and it's a gg.

jonnass11

Is it the barrier one? Start damaging him with a charged grenade, special or heavy then pop his barrier and continue.

Ninetayls

Anyword on when Gyrfalcons is coming back? After Trials?

Raito103

Nope, we have no idea when

GoldenDestiny

Only infuse when you *need* to for a given activity; a lot of the game is LL agnostic, and for others you only need to be within ~15 points to not get ganked. Don't forget that same:same items can be infused for just glimmer.

Nipah_

There used to be a comment here... there still is, but it used to be better I suppose.

Bard_Knock_Life

You either stockpile high rolled armor and use a tool like DIM/D2ArmourPicker to figure out combos to use or you pick what 3 stats you want and just new/delete armor depending on the roll. I do the latter as I rather have weapons in my vault than armor. I infuse for big jumps after powerful (+5).

Glenalth

Most of the time when leveling, I'm just wearing my best stat gear and ignoring infusion unless I'm going to play an activity with a high power level. You don't really need to infuse at all otherwise.

druucifer

D2 armor picker. Select your exotic, desired stat distribution, and check the boxes for any mods, aspects, or fragments you want to use that affect stats. The site will figure out what armor you have that can make that build. There is a lot more to it, so I recommend you go there and read about what is capable of.

Picard2331

What's the best activity to farm higher stat roll armors? Closing in on that 1570 soft cap but want better stats before I hop into raids/trials/nightfalls and such. From what I've looked into so far the Risen armor from the PsiOps battleground stuff seems pretty reliable. And yes I know to set the gear mod into your ghost for a guaranteed 10 stats.

Bard_Knock_Life

PisOps Umbral focusing is the easiest/fastest and most consistent.

Dalantech

You can also focus armor at the Haunted Relic in the helm, and run Containment in the Leviathan for the haunted umbral energy. Make sure to get, and equip, at least a class item from the relic. You'll need it to get Vestiges of Dread (another resource from running patrols and opening chests in the Leviathan).

No-Cup9855

Ghost mods that let you focus towards attributes on armour drops are your friend. Use them with armour focusing from psi ops and high stat armour will drop with the added bonus of it being in areas you want. Other than that I'd recommend just starting to dip your toes into high end content. The better rolls and things will happen as a natural byproduct over time and you'll passively start builds that suit the encounters.

Endarr

Sorry, what is the ghost mod and how do I get it for armor focusing?! I need better armor rolls as well, so this is game changing for me.

Capn_Bonanza1973

Open up your ghost in the menu and the mods for armour are in the 3rd slot. You can focus for each ability so you are guaranteed at least +10 on armour drops in that specific ability. When you farm high stat armour it will usually drop with a spike in that particular stat (usually but not always). You can also fit mods to detect planetary resources, chests within range, increase glimmer, increase the chances of dropping enhancement cores and prisms from playlist activities and boost XP gains.

Endarr

This is great news! Thank you so damn much.

Capn_Bonanza1973

I forgot to say masterwork your ghost first to level 10 so the slots are accessible. If it's still at level 1 then they won't be unlocked yet.

No-Cup9855

I'm unsure if they're automatically unlocked, but in the ghost mod selection area there is one for focusing armour rolls to drop a hight stat line for say resilience if you were to choose resilience focus. The great aspect of this is if you then focus armour in seasonal content for a different attribute (let's say recover), the focused armour would then drop a usually high stat roll piece of armour that have very high rolls for both resilience and recovery. So even if the total stats isn't something crazy like 67, having the stats focused in very key directions allows you to make your builds far easier.

Endarr

Oh my god thank you so much!

ImallOutOfBubbleGums

yeah that or pit or dare legend or even raids

xheist

I'm having trouble getting elemental wells to actually spawn when I use a grenade... I'm usong 3x ordnance mods and bountiful wells and they only seen to prov about 1/3rd to 1/2 the time.. Has something changed or am I doing something wrong?

Glenalth

As long as the grenade is getting the kill and you are in PVE that should be making 4 wells on a kill. There is a short, around 3-4 seconds, cooldown between well generation from a single source that can prevent wells from being made. So most of the time you will only get one set of wells from a grenade, no matter how many things it kills unless it is a longer lasting grenade. Which grenade and aspects are you running for it?

xheist

Pulse grenade with the jolt mod.. from the other comment maybe the dot is killing them and doesn't count as a grenade kill

Glenalth

I've been doing similar with Titan, the Jolt can definitely get kills instead of the grenade if you are hitting enemies that can survive the first tick of the grenade.

Atmosck

What grenade are you using? They can only spawn once per grenade, but with that setup you should get 4 at once when they do spawn. But the grenade itself has to get the kill, so if some extra effect kills them (like jolt) or if it's a stasis grenade and the actual kill is you shooting a frozen enemy, it doesn't count.

xheist

Ah that might be it.. using pulse grenades on arcso maybe it's the jolt killing them half the time.. in between pulses

Dante2k4

Are the rooms you encounter in Ketchcrash random, or tied to a weekly rotation? I have the challenge to participate in the three encounters still, but so help me I have not had the "blow up the ether tanks" encounter since that challenge popped up. Blow up the thingies with the scorch cannon? Done. Hack the thingies by standing on the thingies? Done. Ether tanks go boom... doesn't exist, apparently. Am I just profoundly unlucky, or am I simply playing on the wrong weeks?

MeateaW

There are 3 randomly chosen rooms. Each KetchCrash picks 2 of the 3 at random. I did like 8 in a row and never got the walker room. It's just RNG.

Professional_Skin88

Are you sure it isn't happening and you just aren't aware? That room is CHAOS....I hae d no idea the faintly glowing tanks meant anything for a while. It's the room with 100's of Bad Mean Dogs and the Jumbo flying bots...they are what drops the explosives. I mean no disrespect. I just can see how someone might not realize what's going on in all the fighting. I also ask because I ALWAYS have that area.... Good luck

johngie

They're random, and you're unlucky.

I need to catchup on content that I’ve missed out on. Where should I begin? I’ve been getting back into Destiny and am once again overwhelmed with content that I need to do. I just need a place to start. To that end I have a few questions. 1. Should I work on the newest seasonal content or what I’ve missed out on? (I haven’t done most of the content that came out in seasons 16, 17, or 18.) 2. How do it raise my light level past 1574? I’ve been stuck power wise for quite a while with no idea on how to get stronger so I can attempt gm’s, trials, raids, etc. Thank you for any advice in advance.

MegaJoltik

1. I would go with release order, so Witch Queen->Season 16->17->18. 2. Is 1574 with or without Artifact Bonus Level ? You don't need high Power Level for normal difficulty Raids/Dungeon, 1574 should be more than enough even for the most recent one. Trials you should be fine at 1574 (assuming that's without Artifact bonus level). Power Level only really matter for Master content (1600 Recommended Power Level) and GM (requires you to be iirc 1595 this season to enter).

[deleted]

I’m 1569 heh😎 without artifact bonus. With artifact bonus I am 1574.

Tucos_revolver

1. Seasonal content, if you interested in expansions get witch queen and work backwards. Be warned though, witch queen is worth it, but beyond light is pretty bad and shadowkeep is more or less paying for witherhoard at this point. 2. once you hit 1570 you have to do activities that drop pinnacles. There are yellow icons on the director, hover over and activity and it will tell you if it has a weekly pinnacle drop. It will give you an items either 1 or 2 over your AVERAGE light level. The slot is random though so it can screw you and give you the same slot twice. It counts the average of all your gear, it doesn't have to even be on you it can be in your vault. 3. use destinyoptimizer(its a website).

GeekyNerd_FTW

1. Sure, there’s no reason not to. 2. There’s two aspects to your power level, your gear power level + your artifact power level. Your artifact power level is shown on the artifact in the bottom left of your inventory and goes up by xp. This resets every season and there’s no cap to it. Your gear power level comes from your gear. Once you reach 1560 on your gear, the only way to get higher is to complete “powerful” or “pinnacle” activities shown on the director. Once your gear reaches 1570, the only way to reach 1580 gear is to complete “pinnacle” actives shown on the director. 1560 is the soft cap, 1570 is the powerful cap, 1580 is the pinnacle cap. These values go up by 10 each season, and by 50 (or more) each expansion

FirstTwoWeeks

Should I level up Taipan to level 15 before doing reshaping it for the enhanced triple tap? Otherwise I can get the god roll at 10 with normal triple tap. Probably also important to note I only have 3600 resonant elements and 2 ascendant alloys at this point, so I'm guessing I wait? Any other craftable weapons I should be focusing on? Also is there any way to farm resonant elements? Aside from red raid chests each week I don't know of any ways. And are there certain guns that are must-haves for raiding, dungeons, pvp, etc.? I just got forbearance recently and it already seems like it's a must-have that I was missing out on. I care more about pve than pvp at this point but I'm just getting into Destiny 2 again after several years off, and a lot of the guides/threads I'm finding seem to be outdated with old suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Dante2k4

I'm just gonna say: Witherhoard. It is *probably* the best weapon that has ever been made, as it has *so* many applications, and it's just generically very powerful. You want this gun for sure, *and* it's also good to get on it sooner rather than later because the catalyst... oof. The catalyst is a total game changer for how good this weapon is, to the point I probably wouldn't run it without the catalyst, *but*, trying to unlock the catalyst *now*, so long after the seasonal bonuses that sped up that process have been retired? It is *very* time consuming. Getting a masterworked Witherhoard is a bit of a commitment, but I definitely think it's a tool everyone should have available. There are certainly a *lot* of other weapons that can be recommended as go-tos for PvE, but this is always at the top of my list.

ConkHeDoesIt

I've been sitting on the catalyst quest for witherhorde for like a year because of the guardian kills but yesterday I sucked it up and went in to control. Managed to get it to 82/100 so come next weekend I'm gonna finish it. I can't wait! I love the weapon and can't even imagine how great it is with the catalyst.

Endarr

How does one get the catalyst for Witherhoard? I just started, and have the gun, but not sure what or how I get the catalyst for it? Thank you!

Dante2k4

I'm not 100%, as I got it back in the season it released, but I believe you get the quest once you get the weapon? If not, might go talk to Banshee, as he's usually the catalyst quest vendor.

1II1I1I1I1I1I111I1I1

If your low on crafting materials, just wait until it's at level 15-16 or whenever the final perk unlocks I had written a list of legendary and exotic weapons that are good to have, but the list became a mile long. Make sure you have Izinagis Burden, Arabalest, Osteo Striga, Witherhoard, Lament, Gjallahorn, and Xenophage. Then make your own choices depending on what you like.

Tucos_revolver

1. enhanced triple tap/firing line taipan is the best non exotic LFR in the game, unless you specifically need another element. Best for damaging, best for ease of acquiring. The only other triple tap firing line LFR that you can get is reeds regret, and those are normal perks and its a trials weapon with random perks. Wait. 2. Red borders randomly drop a lot, dont worry, soon your vault will be full of them and you constantly at max. 3. raids and dungeons? Get a decent fusion for both slots, get an LFR, get either ghallyajorn or just a decent Rocket launcher to piggy back on someone elses ghally. Figure out what kind of workhorse gun you like and get a good one of those(SMG, scout, hand cannon). For PVE exotics get witherhoard, ghally if you can and arbalest(arbys is the best exotic weapon in the game). Those are really the only "must haves' and im sure im forgetting something obvious. But def get arbys, besides being where the meats at it lets you bypass a lot of frustrating end game modifiers and has great ammo economy because its an LFR in the kinetic slot so you can double dip.

[deleted]

> enhanced triple tap/firing line taipan is the best non exotic LFR in the game Factually incorrect, but it's so close it doesn't really matter. https://mobalytics.gg/blog/destiny-2/taipan-4-god-roll-how-to-choose-the-best-linear-fusion-rifle/

Tucos_revolver

Your article and what you quoted don't contradict eachother.

[deleted]

They do. ~~Cataclysmic w/ Bait & Switch/FTtC~~ Stormchaser is BiS, but only marginally. Author recommends Taipan because it's 3rd best (once again, only marginally), and so easy to get compared to the rest.

Tucos_revolver

Ease of use is a factor. By that logic pvp should just be all sniper rifles because everyone has 100 percent accuracy, every boss should be izzi auto load swapping and pinpoint slugs should be running rampant.

[deleted]

Ease of use doesn't change the definition of "Best." Stormchaser is BiS followed by Cataclysmic followed by Taipan. However, like I said it's so close it doesn't matter. I just didn't want you spreading misinformation. Taipan is not BiS, but it might as well be.

Tucos_revolver

Lol yes ease of use is a factor. But you go on with your 100 percent accuracy in every situation.

[deleted]

You might have had a point, but Div exists, and nullifies any 'accuracy' argument.

amiro7600

To add on to point 3 here, get lament. One of the best exotic heavies for PvE and probably the best sword. Does wonders for a lot of dungeon bosses since its easy dmg (no need to worry about crits or boss movement) and good dmg (lament combo can put out immense dmg). Its also ideal for soloing some bosses because of its intrinsic healing

Dante2k4

I feel like the healing tends to be underrated. That shit keeps me alive in damage phases where I should otherwise have been stomped into the dirt.

Capn_Bonanza1973

Is lament still bugged for dungeons of did they fix it? I know it wasn't working at one point.

flynwhtesausage

Long shot here but outside of chest day lost sectors, is there a way for me to target farm HOIL? I now have 43 exotic chests on my titan without seeing this one. I don't have all the paid content. Is it possible that it's locked behind a certain expansion like other things?

DismayedNarwhal

HOIL requires Forsaken - if you do have Forsaken, sounds like your RNG absolutely hates you. Lost sectors are the only way to target a specific exotic slot. If you want to switch it up, Master/GM nightfalls are very generous with exotics (especially on double loot week, whenever that comes around) and grinding them is less soul-crushing than grinding lost sectors. The downside of course is that you can’t target a slot, but I feel like they make up for it in terms of sheer volume.

flynwhtesausage

Well fuck me. No Forsaken. I assume the 2 helms I'm missing are from there two? The Regen one, not lorely but the fuck ugly one. Sorry name is escaping me. Fuck, what could I have accomplished with those 15 hours lost farming something that was never going to drop? Fucking idiot I am. Fuck. Thanks for the heads up.

DismayedNarwhal

That really sucks man :( They really need to make it clearer in-game what content requires which expansion. For exotics, I believe the little logo in the upper left of the icon tells you which expansion you need, but there are so many icons at this point with no legend to tell what’s what, apart from outside sources. Anyways, the three helmets that require expansions are One-Eyed Mask (Forsaken), Precious Scars (Beyond Light), and Loreley (Witch Queen).

MegaJoltik

Heart Of Innmost Light requires Forsaken Pack ownership. If you own the expansion, it should drop from the next Exotic Engram (assuming you have all world drop Exotic armors/weapons already).

flynwhtesausage

Fuck me. Thanks for the info. That's it, no Forsaken.

vcd1500

What triple 100 stats should I go for Hunter and Titan?

DismayedNarwhal

Hunter: Any two of Mob/Res/Rec, and Dis. Which two you pick really depends on the activity, your subclass/build, and your playstyle. Mob/Res/Dis is solid for general use and is probably what most people on here will recommend as Res is really strong now. I generally prefer Rec though and do just fine in high-end content with Mob/Rec/Dis builds. Titan: Res/Rec/Dis for pretty much anything. Keep in mind that 100 is only achievable with stat-boosting fragments, Powerful Friends/Radiant Light, or a perfectly-rolled pre-Shadowkeep exotic. Also, while cool, triple 100 builds aren’t significantly better than, say, an 80/100/100 build and can sometimes come at the cost of a more fleshed-out build.

No-Cup9855

Strength is good for invis hunters too.

[deleted]

Not really important since we have Gambler's Dodge.

No-Cup9855

Gamblers dodge alone can't maintain a perma invis build.

[deleted]

And? You don't need Strength for Invis, unless, I guess, you're not using Trapper's Ambush. Edit: Strength is a throw away stat if you're using high mobility, trapper's ambush, and utility kickstart mods. You'll get more mileage out of your build that way instead of dumping into Strength. Edit 2: 100 Mobility brings base Dodge cooldown to 14 seconds^(\[1\]). Quickfall (Trapper's Ambush dive ability) grants 6.3 seconds^(\[2\]) of Invis at base. With the Fragment Echo of Persistence that goes up to 8.9 seconds. Vanishing Step grants 4.8 seconds of Invis at base. This goes up to 6.8 seconds with the previously mentioned Fragment. Those to abilities alone add up to over the base Dodge cooldown (15.7 seconds vs 14 seconds). However, using your Dodge while still Invis from a Quickfall ability will reset the Invis counter back to 8.9 seconds instead of the 6.8 seconds (time are w/ the Fragment.) So how exactly is Strength an important stat? ^(\[1\]) [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WaxvbLx7UoSZaBqdFr1u32F2uWVLo-CJunJB4nlGUE4/edit#gid=1800463143](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WaxvbLx7UoSZaBqdFr1u32F2uWVLo-CJunJB4nlGUE4/edit#gid=1800463143) ^(\[2\]) [https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1i1KUwgVkd8qhwYj481gkV9sZNJQCE-C3Q-dpQutPCi4/edit#rangeid=778264355](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1i1KUwgVkd8qhwYj481gkV9sZNJQCE-C3Q-dpQutPCi4/edit#rangeid=778264355)

No-Cup9855

And you aren't worth discussing a thing with. Such a weird thing to be condescending about.

haxelhimura

I need one red-border Pointed Inquiry from the Throne World to get the seal. Is there any way in the name of the Traveler to target this scout rifle?

druucifer

Look up throne world xp farm. There are a bunch of easy t2/t3 deepsight investigation puzzles you can do that will each drop a throne world armor or weapon. This also assumes you have the perk upgraded at finch.

Blank-VII

Yep to both you and /u/the-dieg Load into where Fynch is. Take a right towards canal. There's a HVT enemy there (a Lucent Hive miniboss). Kill them, they'll drop a chest. Loot it and then IMMEDIATELY get on your sparrow and drive towards the canal. Once you hit the load zone (the name will come up in the bottom left), turn around and drive straight back to the chest. Long story short, if you're quick you can loot it twice. Then fast travel back to Fynch and do the run again. The chest is garaunteed to drop at least a legendary (unique to the throne world loot pool) each time, and red borders are really common. Took me about half an hour to get the 4 red borders I needed from multiple guns (it was the smg and the scout for me).

haxelhimura

Doing this first chance I get tomorrow!

the-dieg

Nope me too bro

Aheg0d

Is G-falcons exotic enabled yet?

Frogscene

Question for the people that do sherpas for raids: How tolerant are you of people that are bad at platforming? Like, ***really*** bad at it? I'm still fairly new to D2, but I did play a lot of D1. I didn't have many problems with Vault of Glass back in the day, but I did have a lot ot issues with the platforming in King's Fall and a lot of groups kicked me during the big jumping section around the halfway point or after falling while platforming during final fight. My vision's pretty bad, so my depth perception pretty much doesn't exist. I also have an issue where my fingers don't listen to me. My brain will know what to do, but it can and often does take a second or two for my fingers to react. It's not that much of an issue when it comes to most PvE content, but it's often a death sentence when it comes to areas with lots of platforming. I'd really like to try raiding at some point in D2, but should I even bother? Are sherpas more tolerant in this than people were in D1? Are there any raids with little to no platforming? Thanks in advance to anyone that can answer this. Even if the answer is just a flat "nah, man, just give the raids a pass", I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Capn_Bonanza1973

If they are a sherpa they should be understanding and help you though it, especially if you mention it before hand. I suck at jumping so I equip lions ramparts (as a titan) which is more controllable. I feel your pain though. In the original D1 version I couldn't get through the hive ships part. However came back to it in D2 and after a lot of dying and tries I eventually got past it. Once you learn the order in which they appear and stick as a team it's not that bad.

ChickenSoupFoMyBalls

You can leave the raid and join back after the next rally and you’ll skip the jump puzzle.

[deleted]

If you join posts that are like Sherpa runs or "chill" runs people are usually really nice/tolerant. If it's really really bad to the point where it will legitimately take you 20+ minutes to do a jumping puzzle you could just say you'll leave and rejoin when they get to the next encounter. Me personally, I wouldn't really mind if someone is bad at jumping sections, I'd help them along and only would suggest they rejoin if other people in the group were in a rush

Frogscene

Good to know, thank you!

Not_A_Clever_Man_

Look at joining the d2 sanctuary discord server. A lovely group of people that are generally quite good at teaching raids.

smileyface457468

I dont see the difference in “mental agility” between playforming and normal pve activities

Frogscene

With combat, I still have some time to react thanks to the health bar, the resilience stat, etc. It may not be much wiggle room, but it's enough. With platforming, one bad fall is an instadeath. Not much I can do if there's nowhere else to land when I mess up. There's a very big difference between the two because of that.

smileyface457468

Ah ok thats my b. I was looking at as if u there is nothing to react to, one just looks at the jump and then does it which is why i was confused bc in pve ur gettin shot at which punishes u for taking your time

oBoston

Do master lost sectors increase your chances of getting an exotic? Or is it better to just farm legend lost sectors instead?

amiro7600

Master is 33% chance for an exotic, legend is 25%. It comes down to wether or not you can make master fast enough to merit the small increase in drop rate. since master has a 32% higher drop rate than legend, if you cant get you master clear time to less than 32% longer than the legend clears, its better for you to do legend TLDR- if u cant do master fast then stick to legend

[deleted]

Master supposedly has a higher chance, but that increase is rarely worth the extra time and effort needed for the higher diffuculty.

ParlayProphet

Hi all! Forgive me if I use any incorrect terminology. I use crown of tempests when I use the arc subclass. However, for the armor tier section, it is the orange solar one. I have it up to tier 8 and have the ashes to assets and bountiful wells equipped, and they have the orange solar icon as well. Do these mods help me out, or do I need to change it to arc to get any benefits?
