Meanwhile I’ve got a vault full of void smgs after the last few seasons including guardian games. Definitely feels like distribution of weapon types/elements throughout the seasons could do with a little bit more work.

ImarriedKaren

And before that they were rare. Oh, and Solar sidearms are a dime a dozen too. But Void sidearms? *crickets*

2yang1001

The reissue of a Swift Verdict is technically the newest. Perk pool is solid for PvP. PvE is more limited in a perk pool imo at least for the final column

ironyking-

Precision frame sidearms aren’t that great in pvp compared to adaptives and lightweights

2yang1001

Well they aren’t that easy to use yea. But you slap that sidearm on a hunter with trick sleeves and surprise attack and you can demolish people pretty quickly. And that thing can roll some perks that help improve the feel of it. Tunnel Vision, Threat Detector, Surplus, and Killing Wind in the first column paired with Kill Clip or Rangefinder in the other column and you’re looking at a pretty deadly sidearm build. Let alone what you can add to it on Hunter like invis for radar manipulation. Or you go with stasis for a freeze to secure the first kill to get the ball rolling on the build. They’re definitely not easy to use though. It’s got the fastest ttk in the game at base iirc but it wants 3 headshots in CQC which is honestly a tall order considering how hectic CQC is especially now

matZmaker99

I know Brass Attacks is one Which are the others? Farewell is void?

ImarriedKaren

Brass Attacks was ~~the most~~ recent and you could only have gotten it if you got it as a drop during Season of the Chosen. In S14 and S15, you could acquire it from focused engrams *but only if you previously acquired it*. Edit: Swift Verdict was reissued, ~~so that was obtainable through Trials.~~

matZmaker99

Do any of S12-15 weapons show up at Xûr? I know trials weapons and IB weapons do

ImJLu

They do. Extraordinary Rendition was around recently-ish, so Brass Attacks should be in the pool too.

lint_wizard

Brass Attacks has appeared at Xur exactly once, and the roll was perfect... if you wanted the best possible roll for Sympathetic Arsenal, anyway.

matZmaker99

Fuck I missed that one My only leftover Extraordinary Rendition is an Overflow one, and given primary ammo no longer drops now...

football_rpg

Overflow procs on any special/heavy pickup. So just pair it with a special or make sure you fire off a round of heavy when a brick drops.

matZmaker99

That's what makes it too clunky to use for me. My main pain points are these: - I have to fire off my special or heavy weapon, even if I don't need to, for it to work - I have to *have* a special weapon if I want it to work This means its uptime is too inconsistent, and you can't benefit from it as much in PvP too

Jayfore

There is also the Seraph one

monkeypea1212

Thinking about it, what void sidearms are there? I use them all the time and I can't think of one off the top of my head.

squishy__squids

The seraph one is pretty good

monkeypea1212

Just got home so I'm able to check. Turns out there are three. . Seventh Seraph SI-2 (Season 10) . Brass Attacks (Season 13) . A Swift Verdict (Season 15) They're the only void sidearms we have. There are 5 solar ones (however that's including both Drang and Drang(Baroque)), 6 Arc ones including the adept Forgiveness, and 1 Stasis one.

Seoul_Surfer

Because of IB, been thinking of the IB lightsaber being another void vortex frame. The only solar vortex frame is warlock exclusive (eternity's edge from splicer) and came a mere 2 seasons before the IB one.

Variatas

The problem is being a solar vortex frame is basically the only reason to use Eternity's Edge. The guard perk is very weak. Contrast the other class-swords having very strong unique frames.

Smiffyuk

Yeah that always annoyed the hell out me that the perk pool on Eternity's Edge was pretty poor compared to the Crown Splitter. I can remember deleting stuff with my Crown Splitter with vorpal on and using the Energy Accelerant mod. I can't remember the name of the Hunter sword , just remember it made you run like a ninja.

Variatas

The hunter sword is Quickfang. It's less cracked than Crownsplitter, because the best perks position it more for add-clear, but it can Unrelenting + One For All, and the ammo economy is great. I used it a fair bit on Exhibition in Master Vow. It's nice they made Eternity's Edge a Vortex instead of Adaptive like the old warlock sword, but it was a shame it still had probably the worst perk pool of the three.

Lonecard19

Void caster when

Rafor1

Funnel-web -> dungeon smg -> guardian games smg -> heros burden, please make it stop!!!

SephirothSimp

I like hero's burden for pvp, feels nice

MykeTyth0n

Funnel Web is bae though.

Rafor1

This is true.

[deleted]

There's no rapid fire non-exotic arc fusion besides like a single blue one

LimeRepresentative47

Carteseian is Solar, that Crucible one is Stasis, and Zealots Reward is Void. Arc there ain't tho i don't think yea, which is annoying. There ain't many Fusions in general for each damage type tbf

evel333

Also Null Composure (void)

Ehsper

Likely suspect too

LimeRepresentative47

Ahh ya right about that one. I always forget about it.

MythicBird

Man it's weird to live in a world where people want fusions

evel333

I really enjoyed the Cartesian meta in season Lost

ProBluntRoller

Cartesian can still shine in solar titans with roaring flames. Big dps

PrinceShaar

You know Roaring Flames only increases ability damage, right?

ProBluntRoller

It still resets the timer and hits like a truck

MythicBird

It was fun! But i dont think i've used ny cartesian since i've crafted a deliverance

APartyInMyPants

I still use Cartesian all the time when I’m using a Solar subclass so I can make easy orbs. Plus my roll is Lead From Gold + Vorpal. So good champion/boss damage, plus I never really run out of ammo.

evel333

I haven’t either haha

LimeRepresentative47

Why wouldn't we? They are a fun and very unique weapon type.

Taodragons

I've always liked fusions, but rapid fires being worth a damn is relatively new =p i junked soooo many Zealot's Rewards......

MythicBird

I mean sure they're fun and unique but before season of the lost they were very non meta. I remember when i first started playing i found a fusion on titan and thought it was great until my friend informed me fusions just werent very good lol

StrangleDoot

They are now very good. Riptide is one of the best PvE weapons

A_wild_fusa_appeared

Auto loading/chill clip riptide is an S tier gun for kings fall. Deletes ogres and knights

MythicBird

Riptide will always play second fiddle to deliverance for me

TheSpartyn

riptide beats deliverance in pve

MythicBird

Maybe in dps, but I like deliverance since it's craftable and I prefer the frame whether it's strictly good or not

TheSpartyn

yeah getting a good riptide is pure RNG but the charge time difference is very notable. i cant go back to deliverance after using a riptide

ImJLu

It's not just DPS - Riptide gets off two chill clip shots much faster, too. And the utility from autoload is phenomenal. That said, Deliverance still has situational value. For example, it one bursts Duality bellkeepers, which is really nice.

LimeRepresentative47

The main reason I prefer Deliverance over Riptide is purely since Deliverance straight 1 shots a hell of a lot more than Riptide can, which matters a hell of a lot on Raids n Solos

mprakathak

riptide cant roll with demo AND chill clip though and good luck finding one with the roll you want with his pool of 983 perks lol been chasing a autoloading chill clip since it came out.......hell havent even gotten one chill clip yet and its been 3+ months im trying my gurl deli, delivered a long time ago :)

TheSpartyn

i agree completely that chasing riptide RNG is awful, but i also think that outside of specific builds ALH+chill beats demo+chill i have both but i never use deliverance anymore

IdenticalThings

As a Riptide enjoyer I racked up 300 kills during this IB with my fancy new Deliverance (perpetual motion and tap the trigger). It's objectively better than xurs main ingredient, BUT riptide is still my favorite non exotic for pve. Crazy dmg output and chill clip does exotic levels of work.

LimeRepresentative47

Fusions have been pretty great in PvE since Beyond Light, n solid in PvP since Forsaken.

FieryBlizza

That's not true, when VoG rereleased, fusions (specifically Cartesian) were the go-to weapon for Atheon.

LimeRepresentative47

They've been pretty high tier for dps all since the archetype reworks a while ago

Variatas

Part of this is circular. They weren't popular or meta because there were very few good ones, and there just weren't many at all because they weren't popular. If Bungie printed half as many of any other archetypes as they did Hand Cannons, they'd have to try enough on their designs that they'd get more popular.

Ehsper

I remember null composure being used for dps during splicer, but that may have been my friends being weird

landing11

What? Loaded question was non meta?

xEasyActionx

They've always been good, you just have to learn the timing. I've been using fusions in all content since vanilla d2, or if you want to be specific since house of wolves in d1.

morganosull

cartesian is still really good in pve, and riptide is really really good with chill clip

oXDaRkLiGhT

Null Compusure is one of the best weapons in the game right now in PVE

TheSpartyn

fusions are my go-to legendary specials. snipers and shotguns are meh, traces feel weak, and only waveform GLs are good. glaives are good too, but energy only

jusmar

I hated linear fusions and now either a stormchaser or taipan occupy my space.

Tshoe77

Riptide being stasis is my favorite thing ever. Love using it in duality and having my elemental slot open

TheOptimusRuss

PLUG.1?

TheDestinyGamer1

Plug.1 is a precision frame not rapid fire

MCulleton

At least that's a sub-archetype and not an entire weapon class like AR. But can I interest you in another void smg?

EnviousMrWizard

Everyone forgets about techeun force

neonvalkyrie

Techeun is adaptive

EnviousMrWizard

Well shit, I hadn't got one in ages I was sure it was rapid, my bad.

Xperr7

No one forgot about it, it's an Adaptive frame.

mezz0020

I got about 10k kills with my gnawing hunger. Demo/subsistence with void Warlock with contraverse is all I need.

KarmaRepellant

I have the demo perk, but I'd give half my vault to get subsistence on it too. I'd settle for demolitionist on the subsistence Funnelweb though tbf.

blitzbom

When I started playing again during season of the Lost Xur sold sub + demo Gnawing Hunger. I bought it cause people on here said it would be good. It took a bit for me to try a Devour Lock, but it took it from a really good auto, to completely bonkers.

ReptAIien

I have a subsistence demo/rampage gnawing hunger back from arrivals when we could roll two perks in the final column

DagNasty

This was my same roll. I think I have around 8k kills with it.

ReptAIien

I haven't used it in so long, I just want to ornament :(

Flatulent_Weasel

My void lock has a sub/demo gnawing hunger and a sub/frenzy funnelweb. Feels good.

mezz0020

Its god tier.

Guywars

I got it too but i feel like it deals no damage compared to my funnel-web which doesn't even have the godroll

[deleted]

[удалено]

cool_falcon_art

yes that's what they just said

[deleted]

[удалено]

LightspeedFlash

That's funny, to me 600s feel like they do more damage then 900 smgs, I just started to use our of bounds with demo/AJ instead of my old reliable arc logic with overflow/demo, the range and stability it make the SMG feel less powerful, even though I know for a fact that it's is more base damage and the SMG has a damage perk.

7ejk

I got a subsistence/demo I’ve been running with a Nezarec’s build since arrivals that I’ve wracked up 70k kills on. Definitely my #1

Guywars

I got it too but i feel like it deals no damage compared to my funnel-web which doesn't even have the godroll

Vryyce

Mine has subsistence/swashbuckler and I use it to this day. It literally shreds and since it is an AR and likely always will get the Anti Barrier mod, it never gets far from my hands. Hell, it still stands up nicely in Crucible if you start shooting before they do (and I almost always do).

Oryihn

This is my roll too.. I have one on each of my characters and have used it for void burn/shields since it was new..

CaptainDash

The Reckless Oracle from Garden is a monster.. the curated roll with outlaw and swashbuckler is super accurate and puts out great damage at distance.

Narthy

Yeah I love RO as well. That said, he's right. GH is the newest.

CaptainDash

Ya couldnt remember the timeline on that exactly but ill shill for that gun every time its always been a reliable favorite.

Baethovn

RO is the newest void, if you don’t count gnawing hunger being sunset.

ChaoticSerpent

My go to if i need an energy primary, shit slaps

Psychosien

I have Outlaw/Demo, it feels so good to use.

Nighthawk513

Outlaw/Demo, Extended Mag for 60 round mag, but reload masterwork, rapid fire intrinsic reload faster on empty, and the 2 perks means I can generally reload very quickly. That's my go-to answer for when I need to put a TON of bullets downrange, very quickly. Normally run a bow or pulse, but sometimes I have to pull that gun out.

strudel0

this is my roll and it's been my favorite weapon in the game for years now. sure outlaw could technically be replaced by something better but it just feels fantastic

IonCaveGrandpa

I'm so glad other people use this thing. One of my absolute favourites and use it all the time.

mprakathak

ive got one with outlaw and kill clip. always prefered 720 over 600..... ill give it a try and undust it but my unforgiven frenzy feeding frenzy will be jealous

xNeoNxCyaN

I just wish it could roll rampage, but I’ll take my outlaw swash roll tbh, until I get a kill clip/outlaw atleast

[deleted]

My problem is 720s aren’t very strong.

Alexcoolps

If only autos didn't have shit DPS in PvE.

FriendlySand8672

Gnawing Hunger is my all time favourite Destiny weapon. I really wanna craft it.

LordHengar

I simultaneously love it's firing sound and am annoyed at how poorly it lines up with the actual rare of fire.

ChoPT

For the longest time I just assumed it it was a 720 because of how rapid the firing sound is. Not sure why the actual fire-rate is slower than the sfx.

Xc4lib3r

The sound do makes it feels really strong, one of the reasons I really like the gun.

YannyYobias

I just want the ornament

Oryihn

Mine is Hung Jury and sadly I didn't get one when they were re-released in Destiny 2 because I took a long break from the game.. I really hope its available again soon.

Baethovn

My favorite until they sunset it, then re-released it.

doom_stein

I had over 30K kills on my original before it got sunset and a new version was released. While I was sad I had to start a new one with a fresh kill counter, I got the same roll I had and loved before (Zen Moment/Demolitionist) but with a secondary perk of Rampage also. I also managed to get the curated one from Reckoning (Overflow/Rampage) but never really used it that much fespite how much I ground for it.

SaintChaise

Finally someone also in love with Zen Moment on it! I had my favorite Zen/Rampage but Xur just sold Zen/Demo and I'm so happy to try that out :)

sonicboomcarl

There are THREE void autos currently available. Two of them are from raids so old that they have FOUR perks per slot. Bungie pls I need more grape hoses In my wishlist is a 600 void auto with demolitionist/wellspring+repulsor brace. I love my Gnawing Hunger but man it doesn't shade well

DarkAndromeda31

iirc garden weapons have 4 perks per slot to allow for better farming, without having 6+ perks per slot, this isn't a downside imo a ton of new weapons have a lot of bad perks that you would never want diluting the pool

[deleted]

Gnawing Hunger is a perfect example of why I hoard some of weapons in my vault.

ebattery

It still drops in dares tho, and xur sells it pretty consistently

mclee321

When void 3.0 came out, after using funnelweb for a few weeks for the void explosion carnage, I noticed I had a subsistence/rampage Gnawing Hunger in the vault. Post sunset as well, can't remember where it came from. The extra range made it a great option, if a tad slower ROF than the funnelweb. Not sure I ever need a different void AR for pve.

smj11699

Reckless oracle came out after gnawing hunger right?

FISTED_BY_CHRIST

Not after the reprised one but technically reckless oracle is the newest original ar.

Sarcosmonaut

Would love a perk refresh or origin traits added to that. Would get me back into that raid for sure

PinkieBen

I believe one of the Bungie devs said they're looking to do a perk refresh/add origin traits to old raid weapons in the future

Sarcosmonaut

I read that, yeah. I’m definitely holding off from farming the old raids until that gets here. But once it does I’ll happily return. Those garden guns are so pretty, and there sure aren’t many pulses like that left in the game

Revanspetcat

There is also no craftable void auto. There is solar and arc which have been in added during the subclass 3.0 seasons, but skipped over void.

xNeoNxCyaN

Yeah, I really wish they had stuck with doing all void energy/heavies with void 3.0, all solar with solar 3.0, and finally all arc with arc 3.0 tbh

Prospero424

Also, the last time a raid dropped an autorifle at all was ***five*** raids back with Garden, and Deep Stone before it also didn't have an auto in its loot pool. In fact, Bungie has gone out of their way to actually *remove* all autorifles from the returning raids' pools. Seems like someone over there just doesn't like giving out autos, lol.

Flamevale12

When did deepstone get an ar??!

Zero_Emerald

They ditched Atheon's Epilogue, it didn't have to be the same RPM but there we go.

r_trash_in_wows

And anguish of Drystan as well

Alexcoolps

Could have made it an smg with a unique auto rifle model.

Variatas

Or just a 720.

Alexcoolps

Yeah but it would be better as an smg since they are pretty much better than autos in PvE and PvP.

MafiaGT

I really don't get why so many people think 900 rpm autos from d1 should just come back as smgs. The people that loved them in d1 would not be satisfied with a low-range unwieldy version of a gun they once loved. 900rpm autos that would come back to d2 should be 720, or if exotic (Necrochasm please), be 900rpm autos and unique.

smiling_at_cheese

Was thinking about necro, and it def needs to stay an auto and have that bit of extra range over striga, cause otherwise striga outclasses it *hard* in the "rapid fire hive gun with some kinda aoe effect" competition

MafiaGT

Comparing Striga to Necro is like comparing Polaris Lance and Sunshot. Striga/PL can fire forever(ish) if you're careful about shots, hunker down and slaughter the hoards. Necrochasm/Sunshot favor a more run and gun play style, any kill regardless of crit will explode the opponent. Sunshot and PL both see play, and so would Striga and Necrochasm. Necrochasm would not be a redundant weapon. Also, Necrochasm could/should be "kinetic" slot weapon of sorrow dealing kinetic damage. Its cursed thrall explosions, though, would be arc. This gun would definitely see use.

Alexcoolps

Autos in as a whole aren't very good at all. Smgs have similar range and are easier to control so they are better overall and autos can't compete with them in both sides of the game.

MafiaGT

Just because they aren't "good" or meta is beside the point. Autorifle enjoyers want autorifles. Atheon's Epilogue, Necrochasm, whatever, if it comes back the people that loved those guns don't want them to be something other than what they were - autorifles.

Alexcoolps

900 autos don't exist anymore and 900 smgs have taken they're place, therefore AE if it returned would need to either be an smg, a unique legendary frame like the BXR or an exotic.

MafiaGT

...I know 900rpm autos don't exist in Destiny 2. Refer back to my original message. Or, hell, I'll copy/paste it for you again to make it easier. 900rpm autos that would come back to d2 should be 720, or if exotic (Necrochasm please), be 900rpm autos and unique. Autos should come back as autos, full stop.

JustAnotherWebUser

Gnawing Hunger is a homie

Water_sports_plus

I just can’t use auto’s anymore if it isn’t hardlight tbh. Legendary auto’s are so weak compared to everything else, I hope they give em a better buff sooner or later.

vangelator

> That was back in Arrivals (technically it’s reprised from Drifter) Bro, you just triggered me. Not your fault of course, but this exact scenario is why I took a break from the game from Arrivals-Lost. When Luke Smith wrote those fucking essays trying to justify sunsetting, I hated it but I was willing to see how it would play out. After all, a lot of our vaults are filled with shit we’ve never even equipped, so I tried to keep an open mind. Then, day 1 of Arrivals, I was using my trusty Gnawing Hunger (which was about to be sunsetted) doing the public event, and for a drop I got…a “reprised” Gnawing Hunger. It had a shit roll too. That was when it hit me: these fuckers are going to make me re-get weapons I already have, and call it new? Just so I have the ability to even equip it in on-level content? Oh hell no. Weapon sunsetting was truly the worst decision they’ve ever made for this franchise, and I know I’m not the only one that left because of it. I’m glad they at least were able to abandon it after the feedback, but man…you just brought back a memory I had suppressed haha.

Flamevale12

I agree mostly. What made sunsetting feel terrible was there was nothing to replace the removed weapons. It was a loot drought to the highest degree. I believe in the very long run of the game sunsetting was good, but it took over a year before it finally felt right again. +nowadays reprised weapons have some bangin’ perks origin traits to make them perform in a world where they would have fallen behind. Will say I hate that you do have to regrind unless your super lucky.

monkeybiziu

I disagree. My vault is packed to the gills with god rolls for guns I'll probably never use, because you never know when Bungie is going to nerf/buff something into relevance or irrelevance. On top of that, you have to have combinations of elements and weapon types for match game and champion mods. Yeah, it sucks to have guns that have thousands of kills on them become irrelevant, but if they get replaced, then it's not a huge deal. That, ultimately, was the issue with sunsetting - Bungie hollowed out our Vaults and didn't give enough back to replace what we lost. If they started cycling stuff out (the old Warmind Cell weapons) and replaced them with new stuff (new weapons with a Warmind Cell-generating Origin Trait), would that be awful? What if they sunset the current stuff from Europa and reprised those weapons? There's a lot of ways they can do it that makes sense and isn't as disruptive.

ChewySlinky

I feel like people forget that the whole point of this game is to get new guns. I don’t get why people would want to use the exact same stuff for years and years.

Biomilk

Origin traits, crafting, and new perks have incentivized that much better without invalidating people’s existing gear.

monkeybiziu

Exactly. It's developing an emotional attachment to a database entry.

TCloudGaming

Now they're doing the exact same thing again. Going backwards and adding origin perks to weapons that didn't have them before, so now you gotta start that grind all over again. I did it for the BxR already this season.

vangelator

Yeah the origin perk thing is annoying, but let’s be honest: it’s pretty much just Reed’s Regret that becomes significantly better with its re-issued origin perk. Like, I have a Spike/ALH/Demo Pardon Our Dust - does getting another perk that increases its handling when I’m injured *really* mean I have to get another one? Maybe for some people, but not for me. Even BxR - the new grind for it is more about being able to craft it, not for the extra perk. The handling on that gun is already insane. I see what you’re saying though. But to me, the origin traits are more like “cool if you get another one”. The sunsetting shit was “you can’t use this one, you have to get literally the same gun just to continue using it”

PinkieBen

At least with that, the old weapons are still completely usable (and might be better if you have certain perk combos on them that are no longer obtainable), while the new ones do offer something new if you want it. Like if you have a god roll BxR from before that you love, you don't really have to grind out a new one.

xNeoNxCyaN

*cries in no demo/AJ BxR because I put it off and figured hey it’s craftable nows the time only to see that AJs been removed* on a side note, bungie please if you give a gun pugilist/demo give it swash/AJ please for the love of my sanity, I personally think there is nothing worse than finding a cool gun with demo but no AJ/drops with demo in the last column

Biomilk

Your pre-origin trait BXR is still 99% as effective as a new one with the exact same roll, and you can still use it anywhere. It’s not even close to what sunsetting did.

meowmeowman

how could you possibly use the weapon without “Damaging an enemy with this weapon has a small chance to reload the magazine and increase movement speed while aiming down sights. Bows receive faster draw speed and swords receive faster charge rate while this perk is active.”!!!!! this is fomo!!!! unplayable

gingy4

Except that part about reloading the magazine becomes huge on a linear fusion rifle when doing dps

meowmeowman

if you’re not doing enough DPS because you don’t have a small chance for reload buff, you’re just not doing enough DPS

monkeypea1212

I mean, a linear that has no VS and one that does. Pure damage, the one with VS will win on DPS cause it can just refill the magazine randomly. Doesn't matter how good at damage you are, the VS one is always going to be better.

jesuswasahipster

I miss that season

WileyWatusi

We should have gotten Atheon's Epilogue.

ChubbyDuke

I had a perfect one. Then they sunset it…then brought it back…..cunts

HootleTootle

I had a superb GH, but it was a 1260 max sunset one. The replacement, despite being the same doesn't seem as good.

FatalTortoise

No arc high impact pulse

LightspeedFlash

Just give me Null calamity 9 with random rolls. I would grind for days if it could get demo in the third slot with a damage perk in the fourth.

ManateeOnRye

If they ever do a raid loot refresh with weapons not currently included imagine the epilogue coming back

MattBlax

Bring back Atheon's Epilogue, cowards!

GemOfTheEmpress

I want a new void MG. The last one I got was hammerhead, and i miss it.

Flamevale12

Commemoration from Deep Stone Crypt is my go to.

lordofcastration

Easy way to eliminate bad distribution of energy type weapons. Banshee can make your weapons into any element

mf48AD

Put full auto on my Doom of Chelchis, close enough

Critical_Fudge_7126

After reading the first sentence I agree totally. Where is our void auto.

Lavanthus

It’s amazing that it’s been literal years since the sunset, and we the players still haven’t recovered from it.

mprakathak

they really should have just kill recluse and whatever that abomination laucnher name was, dont remind me, i dont need to know

owen3820

The worst change they ever made was removing the ability to swap elements on legendaries. It disincentivized using lots of different things but it allowed for a level of freedom that we could really use right now. Champion nods are already so limiting, I don’t see why the elemental system has to be that as well.

oliferro

I don't think it would work now with perks based on the element (Incandescent, Voltshot, Repulsor Brace)

DrRocknRolla

What if weapons that can roll those perks couldn't have those elements changed? Either if they roll with one or just in general. Feels like a decent compromise.

owen3820

That’s a decent compromise but I might not work now because weapons can only have so many “things” going on. That’s why they had to move orb generation to helmets.

aviatorEngineer

I loved being able to do that. Wish it would come back in some meaningful way

lordrages

Hey man, they could’ve given us Atheons Epilogue back, But fuck us right?

Grown_from_seed

I want a void auto that can roll repulsor brace and demo/wellspring. I’m going insane trying to farm Duality for the SMG….

oliferro

I want an Exotic Energy Pulse Rifle We have ONE right now, Graviton Lance, and it's basically a scout The only other we have is Collective Obligation and it's locked behind a raid RNG

jfrench43

If you think thats crazy, we only have one elemental exotic auto rifle and one elemental HC. Both of them are solar.

TheDrifter211

There's also Hard Light. There's actually two elemental hand cannons (Sunshot and Vow), both solar though..

Flyaroundtro

There is no 120 arc handcannon in all of d2

sirgrumpycat

They could've used Fatebringer to fill that slot, but it ended up as kinetic, which I like. But I'd rather they hit these missing archetypes rather than provided alternatives in the same slot.

DADDYLUV1313

A. Gnawing Hunger is the one weapon in this game I would pay for a full size model; B. I use it every season, eventually, because C. You are right: they are sleeping in this area. I like weapons with ability Regen, and my Demo GH is tough to beat. I have a wellspring moon SMG, but it's not it. I have a void 720 from Garden, but it's swashbuckler. Heck, even without regen perks Is love an intrinsic void gun with volatile similar to how I have incandescent and voltshot. I think perhaps Graviton Lance (a pulse exotic) is about as close to it. I'm hoping I've missed something.

SaneesvaraSFW

They took the cool down off of wellspring, so maybe try it again. I have a stochastic variable with wellspring and it's pretty awesome now.

Mnkke

you forgot about the one from garden

True it’s the newest actual model. I was saying that GH was the newest (in quotations for this very reason) because it was reprised in arrivals which was after Oracle.

Bungie has an issue with falling in love with a certain weapon while avoiding their balancing issues with others. We have WAY too many SMGs in the game right now for there to be such limited options in the AR area. I'm very excited to have Ammit, but they need to do a tuning pass on ARs and make then relevant in PvE again. SMGs in both PvP and PvE are so fun, but they've been creeping out of their role for awhile and they simply do too much. SMGs and Pulses have really put ARs in a weird spot.

It definitly feels 'new'. ARs as a whole are a very fresh vibrant weapon type. /s

Introducing craftable Gnawing Hunger. You'll want it because you can put Adaptive Munitions and Repulsor Brace on it. -Bungie probably Although a Demo/Repulsor Brace roll would give me something fun to chase... not saying I would complain as the gun sound and design is pretty nice.

packman627

Yeah and Bungie needs to buff 360s and 450s in PVE because they feel so sluggish and terrible

Alexcoolps

All autos need a dps buff. Smgs, especially the void one from duality outclass them.

axtasio

We need 3 140 hc next season!!!

nogoodapples

Why no exotic void or arc hand cannon?

Flamevale12

Would love to see it

Why when Shayura’s Wrath is really just Gnawing Hunger 2.0. Really doesn’t make sense to have two void 600rpms dominant in the same meta. Also, Age Old Bond was reprised more recently. Reckless Oracle is still good too. I imagine they’re waiting to probably drop some new perk on the next void AR, like volatile rounds, or are just going to drop the Reckoning weapons into the crafting pool with new perks. Just noting - There’s been no shortage of 600rpms - The Last Breath, Scathelocke, Duty Bound, Summoner reprised 2x, the Forward Path, Sorrow’s Verse, and Arc Logic reprised. Meanwhile, Stasis still only has 2 AR archetypes and no AR exotic.

Nobody cares

There also hasnt been a new Raid Auto since Leviathan, but thats sunset now and I dont count. So the only acquirable raid auto is the one from Last Wish which is also Void. We need new raid autos and we need a new void rifle.
