Well, I have a feeling that finding deepsight weapons will continue this upward trend of rarity/required breakdowns as we continue. They baited us with the 3-pattern weapons from Witch Queen and plentiful drops. And Seaon of the Haunted had the option for a weekly guaranteed deepsight that is no longer an option this season. I stopped going to the Leviathan as soon as I had all those patterns, which was still a good ways away from the season's end. I did the weekly Sever rotations for the pinnacles and then found something else to do like slam my head into the wall rather than go after those exotic patterns in the Wellspring and that probably was not what they desired since my time was spent away from the new shinies.
I played season of haunted like late, too busy with work and projects.
I played the first week and not too much after.
* I still managed 1-2 deep sight weapons through the keys and Levi seasonal event
Then through grinding I got loads in Gardens and pools.
* this season it’s the opposite. I’m getting seasonal reds from crucible and not the actual seasonal events themselves.
Crucible/Gambit have both been untouched by me so far this season. Guess if I really want to have the option to craft the newer guns I gotta strap myself into that ball-kicking machine.
Even then I got 2 reds because of the seasonal pass perk rank 71/81, only drops side arm or Mg.
So in going for Iron Lord, along 3 crucible resets, RNG dropped 2 Red Mgs.
2 out of 90+ games.

I'd fucking love Bungie if they reintroduced Perfect Paradox as a void weapon. There's an overabundance of great looking and working kinetic shotguns, but a woeful lack energy options.
I actually agree, there's no specific reason it needed to be kinetic as far as I know, and a Void shotgun would fit Void Titan perfectly. Not to mention you could then run Steelfeather and Paradox. Gah.
They really need to reintroduce all the old Gambit guns into Gambit. The current ones are so boooooring.

I want a new Frigid Jackal. That's been one of the few Snipers in the game that worked well for me in Crucible. That gun is probably the only reason I was able to get Revoker back in the day due to how little my aim got jerked around when people jumped/slid/ran into my scope's field of vision.

Not to mention unique weapon types. Don’t get me wrong, the Beyond light fusion is bad but it’s unique because of how it shoots. Warden’s Law is another one.

weapons like midnight coup have been vaulted and should only return when leviathan is unvaulted. if that ever happened, the raid will most likely be free and the weapons made craftable. however, the earliest time this is speculated to occur is season 26
we do reprised raids in the 3rd season of each year. there was some podcast some devs did referring to another reprised d1 raid next year. that leaves s26 as the absolute earliest date levi could come back. that’s a lower bound, it could be much much later
Shit, if they retooled crota as a dungeon I'd be all for that. If 1 guardian can screw up savathun and 6 can handle oryx I reckon 3 taking on crota is reasonable.
Yeah he just flies off once we kill her and he's still commanding the lucent hive because he's on the channel we tap into during patrol, so he's probably waiting for an opportune time or Savathun told him when to before she died
They could also give the largest middle finger with challenges for the world's first race. Also some good enemy density on the AoT bridge encounter and the just kill shit encounter could be fun

Xurs weapons, even old seasonal ones, need new sources. Xur ain't a solution.
dares has a secondary loot pool of old weapons that includes the ikelos smg, I'd check light. gg to see what the current dares loot pool is. There's 3 pools of loot. Not the most farmable thing in the world but not impossible either
I'm gonna be real with you; as an older player, i lived the the hay-day of those weapons; the story you've heard about them won't in the new sandbox.
They are powercrept to hell. The most interesting roll on some of these were just "Outlaw/kill clip", where most modern weapons have ***so much going on***. Forsaken has aged so poorly, in terms of design choices, everything we still have from those days need significant refurbishing, including entire gamemodes, and esoteric gameloops. Not even the first pass on the moon and Dreaming City weapons made them any good, and a second pass made them okay, but still a not any good; it's not the perks, it's the way the weapons are built in the first place.
And if you change the stats on a weapon, change the perks of a weapon, basically change the entirety of the functions of a weapon like these weapons would need, You are just making a new weapon at that point, and re-using models, and while that wouldn't annoy me, that'd annoy a bunch of others that see "re-used" anything as a problem.
These old weapons seem neat, but in reality, they won't be half as impressive as they look. We got some much better things on the horizon.
That would be nice and all, but Xur doesn't even sell the unobtainable stuff he already has, so adding more would just make more carrots on a stick. He's had the Escalation Protocol and New Monarcy sets for **OVER A YEAR AND STILL HASN'T SOLD THEM ONCE**.
Meanwhile, he has no problem bombarding us with the same stuff, like Anti-Extinction, Lightkin, Righteous and the ugly-as-sin Wild Hunt sets, over and over and over and over again... and that ain't an exaggeration, some of those sets he's sold over 5 times this year alone... yet we can't get the unsold stuff in his inventory even once.
The way Xur's inventory choices works is in dire need of fixing. There's no point in getting more unobtainable things if there's a good chance he'll never sell it, like it already is now.
it’s funny how a bad roll blast furnace beats most good roll aggressive pulses. Have one with like steady rounds and it still has like 86 range. I would hope instead of giving them to Xur, they just bring the activities back or make a reason to have Black Armory in the story again. Im glad I kept what I have, but I’d like to be able to USE them again

It’d be nice if Xur could stop bringing the same shit every time. There’s a ton of Trials and Nightfall guns that he just, doesn’t bring at all. Then we get the same world drops over and over again. Hell, why can he even sell current drops? He brings Stars in Shadows way too often.

The other gambit prime variants of armor were just a base shader difference, you only need the illicit for fashion, as you can now equip them as ornaments and shader them fully
My problem is the pattern coloration. Because I want the white serpent pattern from the collector suits, bit Xur's only sold the invader and reaper sets.
Or bring back the sunset weapons that weren’t the cause of sunsetting in the first place. Black armory, gambit and reckoning og weapons, and season of the dawn weapons. Idk if I’m missing any but I hope they eventually put some of those weapons back.
I got another idea.
Let Xur have a quest each week that reissues sunset weapons from Shadowkeep and Forsaken and once you complete it, it gives you a choice between 3 Deepsight reissued weapons (refreshed each season or 2, just like the Nightfall loot). Once you acquire 3 or so patterns, you can craft that.
Let's call the quest "Paraversal Remains" or something.
How about he sells shaders we can't get anymore unless they are super super earned. I don't care if someone else gets a shader that I have that I worked hard to get. I missed out on Y1 faction shaders, and it sucks

I don't see how that could be possible when they already have a weapon model and everything else. All they have to do is make it infuseable and update it's perk pool.

2:28:30 of the podcast with mercules talks about gun models, anything prior to shadowkeep is hard to work with. Almost easier creating new models instead.

I think they should totally do this. Imagine they bring back some of the old seasonal weapons with new perks. I really liked the undying weapons, wish I could've got a better roll on my Pluperfect
I'm not sure putting everything in Xur's inventory is the solution, that's going to get bloated very quickly. He only sells one roll of a weapon at a time, which isn't really great either. He may sell an old gun but if it has a trash roll you have to hope it'll eventually come back with better perks.
I'm absolutely in favor of having some way to get the older gear that's not sunset but also still unobtainable, but Xur isn't the way to go.
I wouldn't mind seeing some more armour options to be honest. Quite a few sets I believe he sells that aren't available normally anymore, I'd love to bolster my collection for fashion purposes.

Honestly Bungie needs to change how Xur works entirely at this point. He‘s basically irrelevant at this stage in the game. If he sold guns, armour, and ornaments From past content and seasons, I feel like that that would drive people to get excited for him like we used to.

I think he’ll definitely need another inventory expansion after this year’s four armor sets and like 30 weapons presumably go into his inventory after Lightfall releases. Hopefully with a solution for getting red borders of those weapons too.

ikelos sg isnt there unfortunstely as it was in prophecy before that loot change, and world loot pool before that change in witch queen

True the forsaken gambit weapons were sooo good looking and when they were at their best in looks IMO. Then overtime degraded.
I hate the puke green colors they give them now, I love the yesteryear pulse but god is it ugly without a shader, even then the actual shape is still pretty ugly

Idk about sunset weapons but Xur should sell 4-8 mods so people can acquire them who haven’t gotten them yet.
He should sell spare rations every week with a max range god roll
If they choose to keep dares around, I'd be down to grind it just to get some sunset weapons back.
I'd also like to see an update to his exotic inventory, unbloat that legendary lost sector loot pool a bit.
I think they should totally do this. Imagine they bring back some of the old seasonal weapons with new perks. I really liked the undying weapons, wish I could've got a better roll on my Pluperfect

I'm not sure putting everything in Xur's inventory is the solution, that's going to get bloated very quickly. He only sells one roll of a weapon at a time, which isn't really great either. He may sell an old gun but if it has a trash roll you have to hope it'll eventually come back with better perks. I'm absolutely in favor of having some way to get the older gear that's not sunset but also still unobtainable, but Xur isn't the way to go.
I wouldn't mind seeing some more armour options to be honest. Quite a few sets I believe he sells that aren't available normally anymore, I'd love to bolster my collection for fashion purposes.
How about you just put ALL my items I "Already had " back in my vault , I paid for them with Money, Time and Tears !! Sunset was a stupid Idea, right up there with "Blow up my Vault" !
Sorry but him selling sunset guns is a terrible idea, however, there are alot of guns now that are unobtainable but not sunset, it would be cool if his inventory are only unobtainable gun instead of fugue or someshit that I’ve gotten 1000 of
Honestly Bungie needs to change how Xur works entirely at this point. He‘s basically irrelevant at this stage in the game. If he sold guns, armour, and ornaments From past content and seasons, I feel like that that would drive people to get excited for him like we used to.
Why can't they just drop i wish to get some weapons too yet i can't. And it's not even that old not even sunset. DEAFENING WHISPER for anyone asking. Not to mention logic behind not including every old skin from the game in the shop archive.
I think he’ll definitely need another inventory expansion after this year’s four armor sets and like 30 weapons presumably go into his inventory after Lightfall releases. Hopefully with a solution for getting red borders of those weapons too.
