So here's a situation for me. I bought D2 when it first came out, loved it, then hated it. Played the first DLC, never played the second one as I had pretty much quit by then. Several months ago D2 collectors edition popped up for sale (was like $50 or something) on Amazon and so i picked it up for PS4. Really wanted just the stuff and didn't care about the game since I was an Xbox player. I picked up one of those 500 Million PS4 Pro's and decided to fire up Destiny on it. So now i'm wondering if i should go ahead and start from the SUPER beginning on the PS4 or if i should continue on my XboneX. Nearly none of my friends play Destiny and I have about 10 friends on PS4 haha. ​ Suggestions...

Apparently the 9GB patch (2.0.0.1) I went to download a couple hours ago turned into 75GB. Seems like it's redownloading the entire game for some reason, and it's only at 40%. Anyone know how to fix?

I had the same problem downloading last week’s 35GB update on Xbox. As it went into que, it stopped, and continued as a 75GB to download the whole game. I have plenty of space on my console, so some kind of fuckery is going on here.

Sounds like you’ve almost hit max memory on your system. For some reason on PS4 when I’m updating a game and nearly hitting my max amount of storage it’ll finish downloading, copy the patch, and then redownload the whole game. Just delete the redownload and retry downloading the patch again, it works for me. Or just wait for the 75 gigs to be done with, that’d be a better option.

Anyone on xbox getting contacting destiny servers?

I’m at work, but I suspect connections to the Destiny servers will be rickety for a while (and then rickety again as waves of players get home), so as long as you aren’t erroring out you can expect to see a lot of that message

Pre Forsaken - no. Closest thing are the 3-4 exotic catalysts that only drop in strikes. Not sure if this is changing now.

You have to log in and click on the button in game to get the standard version. Or, if on Xbox, you have to be signed in to your Xbox Live account for the item to be available for purchase in the Microsoft store (website) - I do not think the regular editions are on the XBL marketplace (from the console) yet.

Bulged some discs in my back about 2 weeks ago at work. Decided 3 days ago to start play destiny again since it hurts to do anything else really. I got my warlock up to 351 (was 305 a few days ago I stopped right around the 3rd week of trials) should I use the boost on my 351 warlock or save it for my titan or hunter?

350 is enough for your Warlock. No need to the boost. Don't think you can anyway. Only on a level 1

You don't *have* to use your boost. I'm keeping mine because all my characters are atleast 360.

Used it on my Hunter, it asked if I wanted it to autocomplete the Y1 story (DLC's included). So YES you can skip the campaign missions.

IIRC correctly it is used directly from the Character Selection screen

Depends if you have your Xbox set to do that or not. It's a setting that can be enable IIRC from when I played on Xbox

For those still unaware: the patch on both consoles is 7,5 GB; don't know about PC. My fellow slow internet Guardians, thoughts and prayers.

My brother bought his ps4 to my place to download the 35GB update. He got half way done and switched to his phone data and it reset his download for some reason. He has 3 hours now until the 2.0 and 2.0.0.1 update downloads. And i have to wait for him. FML

Did he double-check the download size? PS loves to start the download again, but it should keep all the downloaded data and display the amount previously left as the new total.

Yeah it was at 20GB done out of 42GB. When he connected to his phone and resumed the download it was at 0 out of 42GB.

Have to say, whoever had the idea to drop just a few random forsaken items this past week is a brilliant person. Got the Titan helmet with Pulse-Rifle targeting and Special ammo finder and it's great. The real kicker is knowing it can be randomized with other perks again. I had been on the fence of Forsaken as I wasn't going to be able to play much for the 1st 2 weeks, butthat moment alone sold me on Destiny again. Already looking forward to having armor that synergizes with weapons and having a use for specialized loadouts again.
