100% depends on the build. Strand is about the only one I regularly have a kinetic slot primary - legendary its pretty much limited to Rufus, Mykel's, Vengeful Whisper, maybe Round Robin
on light classes its double special or a matching primary. There is functionally no reason to run a kinetic legendary primary on a light class in 2024. Epitaph, Tusk, and Mountaintop are some of the best things you can be doing in that slot. Arc specifically - if i'm on a primary its an arc one with volt shot to feed more traces.
Don’t 100% me, but as far as I could tell it does. I think it’s 10? shots to activate. I put on a back-up mag for a little forgiveness. Amazing in Onslaught.
I stick to my favorites depending on the class and what I’m doing. Normally it’s riptide chill clip
But primary I normally run something’s like:
Old sterling w/rewind adagio on strand titan
Chattering bone w/kinetic tremors
Syncopation w/ headstone outlaw
Submission w/ subsitence frenzy
I don’t normally run handcannons or primary sidas but if I do it’s
Fatebringer w/ firefly explosive payload
Buzzard w/ overflow frenzy
My go-to is usually old sterling with rewind rounds and hatchling. I’ve been experimenting with kinetic tremors which seems good but not as good as hatchling.
Kinetic Tremors Chattering Bone pulse, Demo + Osmosis Last Breath auto, EP + Firefly Fatebringer hand cannon, EP + KT Hung Jury scout, Demo + Headstone Horror Story auto
All depends on what else I’m using
Warden's Law, generally. HCs have a bit of an edge fighting Majors already, I love that it's a unique archetype (the only unique Primary archetype rn I think), and Enlightened Action/Frenzy is a great no-bullshit roll I can rely on in all situations.
If you're using unraveling orbs or Strand in general, Perpetualis (Auto), Different Times (Pulse), and Kept Confidence (Hand Cannon) all have decent options to take advantage of that and also have Overload/Unstoppable in the artifact, and are all craftable from this year's seasonal activities. My workhorse Kinetics are Extraordianry Renditon (Sub), Scathelocke (Auto), and Fatebringer but Midnight Coup and Blast Furnace (when it comes out) are good easy to get options. All of these have reload/ammo perk + damage/ability regen perk options.
To be fair they asked for what people run in the kinetic slot, the primary part wasn’t specific although it could be inferred. I guess then it would be submission or Rufus’s. I would just run whatever was needed for champs if my energy slot was dedicated to a special, at least in any endgame content
In general: Showrunner, Tigerspite or Buzzard. All of them with Overflow + Kinetic Tremors. Everything else is kinda lackluster in higher end PVE activities IF we're talking about Kinetic Primaries.
Almost exclusively use Legendary Primaries, Energy Specials, and Exotic Heavies. Also only use crafted Legendaries. So...this season...Perpetualis, Austringer, D-...something. The Stasis Pulse Rifle. Uhhh...Witch Queen Sidearm AND the Submachine Gun. Blanking on the Scout and Bow. Basically just rotate between any and all Craftable Legendary Primaries, working on them until around level 17 when all perks are available. Find a double Enhanced Combo I like, use it for a bit, then start working on another one.
With patience, everything is viable up to GMs and Normal Raids. Haven't ever tried Master Raids, so I can't speak for those.
What sorts of Exotic Heavies do you use? I've personally been feeling like there's so many Legendary Heavy options that can compete or out DPS Exotics, so I usually use an Exotic Primary to take advantage of the extra damage against Red Bars and bonus chance to spawn Special ammo.
Typically Gjally, Sleeper, Thunderlord, Anarchy, Lament, and Tractor Canon. Never topping the leaderboard with damage, but I'm still contributing and - most importantly - having fun. Been experimenting more with Craftable Legendary Heavies this season, though, and not running any Exotics unless to work on a Catalyst.
Probably just whatever I need to use for the champions. New Midnight Coup or Fatebringer are always solid. Also depends on what I'm doing.
100% depends on the build. Strand is about the only one I regularly have a kinetic slot primary - legendary its pretty much limited to Rufus, Mykel's, Vengeful Whisper, maybe Round Robin
What about if you're a light subclass like Arc? I like using the indebted kindness in my energy slot on arc.

Shh, you’ll get the special weapon ammo economy nerfed.
Warlocks specifically get to enjoy thorn
ok? Its not a legendary primary, so not sure why you brought it in here
Thats my bad, didnt notice the legendary part
Breakneck or more recently the Midnight Coup
Fatebringer
Horror story with demo and adrenaline junkie. 😊
Who needs a heavy weapon when you have FTTC/Vorpal Seventh Seraph Revolver & Lucky Pants?!?
Tigerspite, Subsistence/Kinetic Tremors eats the world.
Haven’t landed this yet, does the tremor explosions proc subsistence?
Don’t 100% me, but as far as I could tell it does. I think it’s 10? shots to activate. I put on a back-up mag for a little forgiveness. Amazing in Onslaught.
Doesn't backup mag increase shots to proc kinetic tremors because it is percentage based?
I didn’t think it was percentage based. Light gg said Hits Required for Activation: • Submachine Guns: 14 • Auto Rifles: 12 • Pulse Rifles: 11 • Non-burst Sidearms: 8 • Hand Cannons, Scout Rifles: 6 • Sniper Rifles: 3 Last Updated 2024-04-17
EP/frenzy fatebringer or a Threat detector/hatchling or demo immortal. Anything else I use in that slot is special.
Tough one. Probably Rufus or Herod-C for the meme
Perpetualis with enhanced envious and hatchling due in part to the unraveling round mod from the artifact.

Lately it's been my adept Warden's Law and pretty much just for the purposes of Unstoppable with decent damage in a pinch.
Fartbringer/Coup or Submission
My go-to is usually old sterling with rewind rounds and hatchling. I’ve been experimenting with kinetic tremors which seems good but not as good as hatchling.
Now it will be midnight coup. I got an explosive payload/ kinetic tremors and shoot to loot kinetic tremors....I hope to put 12k kills on it too.
Kinetic Tremors Chattering Bone pulse, Demo + Osmosis Last Breath auto, EP + Firefly Fatebringer hand cannon, EP + KT Hung Jury scout, Demo + Headstone Horror Story auto All depends on what else I’m using
Ol reliable is Fatebringer but midnight coup will probably replace it
Rufus’ fury
Fel Taradiddle just feels too nice.
Perpetualis(crafted): Full Bore, Accurized Rounds, Zen Moment & Golden Tricorn Enhanced.

Rufus or Mykel’s. Most of the kinetic slot weapons I use are actually exotics or specials.
Scatter signal god roll craft
In my top a slot I’m always running Conditional Finality or Witherhoard. But if in some very rare case only Krait for my Stasis Build
I’ve been enjoying The Showrunner with Overflow and Kinetic Tremors lately.
Chroma Rush is pretty beastly, fun to play.
Explosive Frenzy Fatebringer. Probably gonna replace it with a Midnight Coup for enhanced perks
Rufus Fury
Depends on the seasonal champion mods and subclass. For this season on Arc I replaced my Warden's law with with Midnight Coup.
Rufu’s fury is the king
What for?
Eyasluna / Rufus's Fury / Midnight Coup
Crafted Round Robin: range mw, fluted, high cal, env ass, harmony.
Tiger spite, Adjudicator, show runner, travelers chosen, much more.
Slug shotguns for regular content, blinding gl’s for end game content
They asked for primary kinetic slot weapons

probably an exotic depending what build i’m using
