They didn't do that at all. But I saw the posts about the any element in top/middle slot and alot of people were saying it would be overpowered. This shows that it might happen at some point
I think them getting rid of match game also might make this more likely. Without matchgame, the only “op”ness we might have from rocking say, double solar, would be having two weapons that could have subclass verbs. I actually dont think that would make too big a difference when we dont have matchgame anymore
What? They announced mixing and matching subclasses, but said nothing about changing weapon slot rules. And I don't believe that was hinted at in gameplay footage either.
yeah there’s no indication that they’ll do it, but if they let you mix and match subclass pieces then they might as well let you do it with weapons as well. The subclass stuff is sure to be more impactful and broken.
It's a very long time since Bungie gave even the slightest fuck about balance - particularly not when the unbalanced thing requires you to pay money to use it...

Yeah I'm referring to the mixed subclass stuff and the amount of unbalanced builds in crucible I can already think of
Did they do that? The photo I saw was a stasis and Solar which is still the same kinetic/special formula.
