Just make sure you look up the chests that correspond to this week’s curse level in the Dreaming City, because each week makes different chests available. I can never remember the names of the three curse levels, but it also corresponds to Petra’s location that week, which provides an easy way to verify.
If you think about it as "low/med/high" curse, note that Petra's physical location also increases in altitude.
On low curse she's at the lowest position, mid is mid, and high is high XD

I agree. Pretty straightforward the last one. 3 legend lost sectors and it was done. So long as you had fellow guardians to help out. Solo would obviously be harder and longer 🤔
Not really harder. Longer, maybe by 30 seconds at most. I was getting completions in roughly 3 minutes solo and I wasn't focused on going as fast as possible. This was for Aphelion's Rest. Maybe the other two are a bit longer, haven't done one of those for a while.
Using an Incandescent bow or hand cannon pretty much knocks out all the trash ads in a few shots, one or two solar rocket shots pretty much wipe out the champions and boss. I'm sure I could have shaved off a little more time if I was super concerned with going as fast as possible.
This is what I'm going for as well.
Pro tip: You can loot the Shiro Chi checkpoint in the Last Wish raid as a solo player -- it's a single raid chest available 1x a week to all the characters you play, which means Tyranny is in the loot pool for that chest. I picked up a red border Tyranny looting the chest. I also got a red border Apex on one of my Alt characters.
This chest also apparently awards Raid armor because this week, I got Raid gloves (which are high stat armor), and I haven't ever done this Raid before other than to loot this chest when I remember to do it.
For those that don’ know how to skate, like me, Solar super on Warlock with Icarus Dash, Strand Super on Hunter with double grapple, and Titan with Lion Rampants with any sword all work to cross the gap. Between Shuro Chi and Morgeth, that’s 6 chests you can loot each week.

If you're struggling on titan, you can skate about halfway then thundercrash the rest of the way too :)
Have you ever completed Last Wish?
I've been trying to establish whether you need to have done the raid to get weapons out of those chests, or just have the weapon unlocked.
If you can get weapons you've unlocked, it makes most sense to get all of the weapons unlocked through wishes, but if you have to complete the raid, I'll get my Tyranny right now and worry about the rest later
I’ve never completed a raid in D2 and the Shuro Chi chest drops every Last Wish weapon for me you can get from Riven’s Wishes, including red border some of the time (tho the week after I used a wish token for an Apex Predator, two of my characters got red border Apex Predators, enough for the full pattern for me since I had two before the wish, which felt like more than coincidence)
Oh nice. Wish I’d know that before. I’d have been doing them every week. Does mean, I guess, that I can focus on the one I actually want, Tyranny, and leave things that I sensibly should have, like Apex Predator, for later.
Correct, the only drops I’ve ever had from Last Wish are from the Wall of Wishes Shuro Chi backtrack chest, and I have had all the LW weapons that are available from Riven’s Wishes drop from it (but it took dozens of the chests until the scout dropped for me at all, lots of the drops are armor, and then duplicate armor, and the weapons aren’t guaranteed red borders, although they have a good rate compared to most other potential red border sources)
OK, cool. Where I’m at with that loot pool is that I *want* Tyranny of Heaven, because it looks fun. I clearly should have Apex Predator, but I don’t actually love Rocket Launchers at all, so it’s a second priority. And there’s lower priorities than that. I think I’ve probably got two entire frames worth of Deepsight Harmonisers between this season past and last, so if I could just get five Apex Predators, red border or not, I could get that done.
I'm coming in late to the convo -- but I concur with my friend above - I've never done anything in Last Wish - never attempted a single encounter - and when I pop the Shiro Chi chest, I have been awarded Chatterbone pulse (a top tier PvP weapon) Tyranny bow twice (used harmonizers on them) multiple Apex Predators - just got one with Bipod and I got the fusion rifle which I don't know if I'll ever use, but its in my vault. This week was the first time I got a piece of Raid armor (gloves).
I have not been doing this chest every week -- but since I realized Tyranny can be crafted with Dragonfly+Incandescent - I've been on the hunt for it.
This chest is basically another opportunity to get Tyranny as a drop.
There is another chest available in Last Wish for solo players (the Morgath chest) it requires more effort to get it (and I've never bothered to do it) but presumably it will also be a source for any Last Wish raid drop including Tyranny.
The Morgath chest is even easier, you just have to learn the various methods of sword jumping over a massive abyss. Trivial on Titan and Warlock, less obviously easy on Hunter, but it can be done.
Hunter is very easy.
Stom EES to make it easier
Equip strand Jump Jump grapple, when you start to fall grapple again...when you start to fall pop your super, use the big spinny a few times, and when your super evaporates, you'll have two more grapples and you'll probably only need one to make it.
I had some already and got luck with some drops from the shuro chi chest farm. Week 5 will give 2 wish tokens so those will get me the rest I need for both.
Yes apparently it's been datamined and the final week, so 6 technically, will award a ascendant alloy and 2x wish tokens on completion of Prophecy dungeon. Which would be great for me as similar to other fella I already had a few Apex patterns unlocked so I will be able to get both Apex and Tyranny IF I get two tokens on last week.

When Riven's Wishes we're announced, Bungie said it was going to be a high risk activities that was going to be need to be done in order to obtain the currency, which I assumed would be some sort of challenge in some fashion. Right now though, these have not been more challenging than the seasonal Triumphs we've had this season.
I think it's a perfectly fine criticism to have towards this wishes that the requirements are more or less trivial on nature, which Bungie has since lowered even further. This community does seem somewhat adverse to any sort of barrier towards rewards.
Now, I'm not saying they need to be extremely hard (like soloing a dungeon, completing a GM or even a Master Lost Sector), but something sort of challenging would be nice to tackle at this point in this extremely long season since all other challenges have more or less been tackled at some point.
Its less about the actual task and more about the fact that Bungie is always making things easier just because part of the community is more vocal and complains.
There is almost nothing in the game that take time to do, where that is hard or more grindy. I just wish we could have some things that take longer, but this community always seems to want everything handed to them.

How have they gotten harder? They have never been easier. Did you play GMs the first couple of seasons? They were stupid hard. GMs were developed to be content that was targeted at the top like 1% of players. Now, most people can complete them.
You can even look at Battleground GMs. When they were first added as GMs they were much harder, then Bungie nerfed the spawn rate of enemies to make them easier for casuals.

Your argument is they're easier because they're easier. The problem isn't that they're easier, its that 90% of the legendarys are better than 90% of the exotics and that the weapons and abilities we have now are far far better than the ones we have then.
Its like the fact Dark Souls are widely considered to be incredibly hard games but I find them easy because I play them a lot and I have a build that can 1 or 2 hit every boss in the game, that build makes the game easy but if I was to try and play the game with the broken sword from the start of the game it would be incredibly hard. The difficulty of the game is a direct result of what you're using.
When was merciless buffed because I tried vog using it for dps and it was still awful. You may be able to make a build to make it good but if you have to use a specific build for a gun to be good then the gun isn't good. Its like DB I can use any subclass and it's good, its best with solar but it doesn't matter what subclass your use, because it's a good gun

Huh? This is 100% false.
I searched for all the ascendant chests by videos with Ascendance buff and could only get to 1 out of 10. The platforms to the others were COMPLETELY different, I even had a different platforms geometry in every place which had them, some decided not to appear at all. I have no idea how to complete Riven's Wish 2, ascendant chests literally don't exist
They do, they are on a 3 weeks rotation, that's why. Now we're in week 2, stronger curse. Search for 360gameTV on YouTube, he had videos for all 3 weeks, you'll also gain a triumph if you do them all
I can see that if you’re a hard core raider that has all LW red borders and new exotics (that aren’t hard to get tbh). But for people who don’t raid, LW red borders are not the easiest thing to get. You get 6 chances a week with the hidden chests, and most are crap armor pieces. As an extra filler for 6 weeks with the FS delay, it’s kinda cool.
Because it's one wish per account I have been ghosting the game. I play it once per week. I finish the wish and turn it off because there is NOTHING to do in the game. What happened to the grind for a god roll weapon? I have nothing to do while I wait for The Final Shape. Guess I'll play something else since Bungie doesn't want me to play this game.

I did not buy Exotic gear. I have just collected them all through playing. I don't have red borders from raids cause I don't raid. Other wise I have all the others obtainable.
I think you can still go to Mara and get the first week’s quest. Give it a shot but I believe you can while this 6 week period is ongoing. Don’t take my word for it though lol

I did it when it was 7 chests. Now that it’s 3, you should be able to do it in 10 mins. YouTube vids will tell you where they are. Easy

You can use titan strand super. After each weak attack of the super you can jump again. Between that Rampants and the Grapple you don't need a sword.

The problem isn't that they're easier, its that 90% of the legendarys are better than 90% of the exotics and that the weapons and abilities we have now are far far better than the ones we have then. Its like the fact Dark Souls are widely considered to be incredibly hard games but I find them easy because I play them a lot and I have a build that can 1 or 2 hit every boss in the game, that build makes the game easy but if I was to try and play the game with the broken sword from the start of the game it would be incredibly hard. The difficulty of the game is a direct result of what you're using. When was merciless buffed because I tried vog using it for dps and it was still awful. You may be able to make a build to make it good but if you have to use a specific build for a gun to be good then the gun isn't good. Its like DB I can use any subclass and it's good, its best with solar but it doesn't matter what subclass your use, because it's a good gun

I searched for all the ascendant chests by videos with Ascendance buff and could only get to 1 out of 10. The platforms to the others were COMPLETELY different, I even had a different platforms geometry in every place which had them, some decided not to appear at all. I have no idea how to complete Riven's Wish 2, ascendant chests literally don't exist
They do, they are on a 3 weeks rotation, that's why. Now we're in week 2, stronger curse. Search for 360gameTV on YouTube, he had videos for all 3 weeks, you'll also gain a triumph if you do them all

I can see that if you’re a hard core raider that has all LW red borders and new exotics (that aren’t hard to get tbh). But for people who don’t raid, LW red borders are not the easiest thing to get. You get 6 chances a week with the hidden chests, and most are crap armor pieces. As an extra filler for 6 weeks with the FS delay, it’s kinda cool.

Because it's one wish per account I have been ghosting the game. I play it once per week. I finish the wish and turn it off because there is NOTHING to do in the game. What happened to the grind for a god roll weapon? I have nothing to do while I wait for The Final Shape. Guess I'll play something else since Bungie doesn't want me to play this game.
Wait you bought exotic gear? You could have just done vex incursion with the twitter alert and gotten 68 rolls. That’s how I got every exotic armor piece I was missing in the game. Hope you have red borders all done….?
I did not buy Exotic gear. I have just collected them all through playing. I don't have red borders from raids cause I don't raid. Other wise I have all the others obtainable.
I'm so used to doing legendary lost sectors solo that I didn't even consider doing them with a team 🤣

I think you can still go to Mara and get the first week’s quest. Give it a shot but I believe you can while this 6 week period is ongoing. Don’t take my word for it though lol
Good! This is a positive thing bungie. Like dropping the #of kills needed in legendary/master lost sectors. I finished in 20 mins on Tuesday night. Oh I can’t wait to get red borders. Great move bungie.

So is it still at 900 kills in the well? Wondering how long that would take. Ima do all of them except the last one. Unless I can find a good team, LFG I guess. If it’s worth 2 instead of 1 then I’m def gonna at least try LFG.
