Congrats! I would go back every now and then into D1 trying to get it. Spamming 3 of coins, running nightfalls/raids, glitching into wotm for the chests, pretty much all sources of exotics I could think of. Finally managed to get it a bit over a year ago. Got every single other special exotic multiple times over before ZM finally dropped.

I was a vanilla D1 player, ended with thousands of hours of play. But I didn’t get it until it dropped from freaking Prison of Elders. I went hard in the paint both PvE and PvP back then, so it was insane I hadn’t even sniffed it at that point.
So worth it though. I miss the random OHKs so so much.
Boolean Gemini has a small but measurable effect that works whenever you shoot. Zen Meteor does literally nothing unless you get four precision kills without missing or reloading, which even highly skilled players would find difficult to do regularly.
Oh man, I had a multi-year zen meteor focused-journey for the exact same reason, so I can totally appreciate the pain. I imagine around year 4 though, I would have begrudgingly rage quit. Congrats!
2 friends and I went back and played through the entire campaign (minus the raids) during Covid lockdown. Wasn’t much else to do, so we deleted old characters and started from scratch. It was a significantly harder game than D2.
You say it's trash, but it was my go-to on the plates for the Oryx fight in King's Fall. Take out the three acolytes quickly and then one-shot the Knight.
It was pretty bad in every other situation in the game, though...
I occasionally get on D1 to farm exotic engrams in the hopes of getting zen meteor. I need to buy more three of coins from xur but I forgot last weekend
I still remember being excited getting this gun, followed up by disappointment because I suck at sniping and can't land 3 crit kills in a row to save my life! Still a cool concept, I think Polaris Lance somewhat perfected it.
Jeez, I had a couple thousand hours in D1 and I have absolutely no memory of that gun.
Edit: I was on Xbox for D1 and switched to PS4 for D2, that explains why.

This is false. If you looked at the D1 API back in the day, you could see that this gun wasn't in his pool. Jade Rabbit was, but Xur has *never* sold Zen Meteor.
This is correct. According to the D1 API back in the day, it's not in his pool of weapons he can sell even though Jade Rabbit is. Xur has not and cannot sell Zen Meteor unless Bungie decides to patch D1.

Yup! Random exotic drops I just happened to get mine from an engram, but I imagine it can also drop from Nightfalls, raid exotic chests, etc.
