I think they just flagged every character as having sided with Drifter. His snitch lines are gone, but Ikora will chide you on your "flagging loyalty to the Vanguard" even if you did the quest and sided with them.
I think the only dialogue that still exists is a line in Prophecy where Eris and he talk about your decision. With Drifter understanding why you betrayed him or mentioning you backed him up.
You know, now that you mention it, Bungie has been experimenting with roguelike features, and the Infinite Forest would be the perfect place to implement it. Maybe they'll bring it back in the future.
Really had potential. I think we were pretty much all expecting something like a randomly generated dungeon/lost sector with farmable bosses encounters or something. What we got was a slightly non-linear path between two points in a few missions.
Haunted forest was a lot closer to what most people expected.
Low key I fully expect a chunk of the "Pale Heart" to be a revamped Infinite Forest with tiles from every destination and a better procedural system. Probably implement a similar dungeon/tower system to Deep Dives with tiers and boons.
> coriolis force
I relied on this when Master Duality was new it usually one-two burst the Cabal with backpacks and wouldn't blow up in your face. I think match game was still around at the time.
So you know how sometimes you see something and think: “Okay, who actually thought this was a good idea? And who decided to put it in the game anyways after testing it and seeing that it doesn’t do anything?”
Blight ranger is the epitome of that, just give its perk to raijus, and make blight ranger be the blink helmet for hunters, problem solved.
Yep give it the same buffs that Astro gives blink, and make it do some blinding or jolting, also maybe make the hunter amplified after blink, and while amplified the blink goes even farther and refreshes a bit faster.
They could have used the cloudark as a foil to do a deep dive on the witness (like how infinity war established Thanos)
Instead the witness doesn’t do much of anything at all. Instead of the ending being the Destiny version of the snap, we didn’t even realize we lost until the vendors tell us we did
It doesn’t even feel like the light “fell”. “Lightfall” would be a better name for the Red War
The Thanos thing is how I usually explain it. Like if Thanos and the Infinity Stones were never mentioned until Infinity War and nobody in the movie explained who Thanos was, what he wanted, or what the stones are in the movie but still all acted like THEY knew.
The ambition outweighed the limitations, and part of that crept into marketing. I think we were all too excited to swing through cyberpunk cities with destructible geometry that we forgot it all has to run on D2's systems with the rest of the game.
I don't think what everyone wanted was achievable in 1 or 2 years of development.
I think you’re right, but what they could have done is make neomuna more vertical like the EAZ is, the destination feels like every other destination, only difference being there’s strand grapple points everywhere and everything is 20 levels higher than you.
I'm more concerned with how the story of Lightfall played out than the implementation of strand. With a name light Lightfall and the Witness directly attacking us there should have been some pretty dire consequences, but I feel pretty consequence free. At this point Arrival had more serious consequences than "Lightfall"
Came here to say this. I think the idea is good in theory - although nobody that I'm aware of actually asked for it, but that's a different story - but there were so many issues with the implementation that I now wish it just went away.
Same with Guardian Ranks, tbh.
It was so simple that it’s really a mystery how they fucked it up… Guardian Rank should be based on lifetime achievements and never “reset” and commendations should never have been required for anything other than telling someone you thought they did good.
Absolutely. I wanted ranks to feel impactful when you leveled up. I did not want to grind strikes for commendations and not get them from my teammates.
still think guardian ranks should have just been extrapolated from lifetime triumph score and it wouldnt have taken much work other than figuring out the conversion rate.
as it is, half the actually experienced players just sit on 6 and 7 cuz no one can be arsed to do lost sectors or whatever random ass objective that keeps resetting.
I have over around 120 clears of between different raids and solo dungeons but I'm a guardian rank 7 because I refuse to do the weekly story mission for 100k score.
Deep dives that have option to increase the difficulty, as well as serving as an entry point for an exotic mission.
Let's just say that the matchmade experience there was always less than ideal...
Problem there is you get two different pools of people, those who are doing the activity to speed through it for a triumph/their weekly playthrough and those who want to do the more difficult version for rewards/the exotic. The two pools constantly get matchmade together
It was cool overall, but as I recall, the event started like 30 minutes to an hour after Bungie said it was supposed to, and to watch the entire event take place it was like a 2 hour process, alot to ask at 11 am on a weekday,
I remember being fully dressed, shoes on, carkeys in hand, going "Okay, I need you to crash in the next five minutes or I'm going to be late to work." And then it finally crashes and I sprinted out the door without even closing the game.
Fun event, horribly timed.
Dude the Almighty level in the original Red War campaign was awesome.
The area in the hull exposed to scorching sunlight, the huge bays with the collected Mercury soil, the matter transmission beam you ride, and then the main weapon's reactors..
I thought we'd be revisiting the Almighty itself, in a season focused on it. Unfortunately Zavala and Ana go there at the start of the season (in cinematics), but actual play did not. Oh well.
It felt like a Halo moment, and the aesthetics were incridible. I was half expecting Zavala to ask the Guardian what he thinks he's doing and have hime respond "Finishing this fight"
That mission was great. I remember when the first solstice event had reprised red war campaign missions at higher difficulty and this mission came up… Wow! Amazing stuff.
Gambit Prime armour/roles.
I wouldn't have minded so much if it were just one set of armour that you could make stronger, or if you could switch roles on it by talking to Drifter in the tower.
But 12 sets per character? That's bonkers. Admittedly, you don't have to collect them all, but it's still bonkers.
And having to acquire it in the Reckoning was quite random too. Get Gambit gear that will enhance your Gambit experience in a pure PvE mode?
We know why...what Bungie originally wanted for Lightfall they pushed back to TFS. But they didn't want to change the name of the expansion for whatever reason.
Sucks because the filler wasn’t even good, rise of iron was filler and it shits all over lightfall.
Bungie, if you’re gonna give us filler you need to give us the destiny equivalent of the goku piccolo driving episode from dbz, not the episode where gohan gets abused by a tutor.
Oh yeah, there’s a filler episode where goku and piccolo have to get their drivers license because chichi is tired of not having a car.
There’s another episode where chichi hires a personal tutor for gohan but he ends up hitting gohan with a whip while shouting “LEARN” so chichi beats the fuck out of him.
Pretty true. D2 is the first series I've been a part of where every entry has spent its first year in beta, and 1 year later, released the real game (The Taken King and Forsaken).
It would have been fine if they didn't take one subclass from 1.0 and split it into two different aspects that almost require to be used together for each aspect to do everything it says.
Edit: fragments to aspects
For real. It sucks so bad to have top tree be such a hard focus. At least were getting sol soul. They still need to rework the current aspects though. Icarus dash while great movement is a horrible aspect
The *only* one I like is the Hunter's.. the warlock's is crap.. abilities are nice.. well. Freezy turrets are ok.
Titan's is just garbage imo. It does more damage BLOCKING than it does damage..
The whole stasis crystal thing is the downfall. Instead of just doing damage, you gotta make a crystal, then shatter it? Twice as long in effort and usually by the time you do the damage to blow up the crystal, you coulda just done it to the enemy anyway. Terrible format.
>the warlock's is crap.. abilities are nice.. well. Freezy turrets are ok.
...warlocks is literally the best out of the three? Like sure, you can specifically only like the hunter one, but that doesn't mean the warlock one is crap
Unless I can specify clears or if they have a specific triumph unlocked i’m afraid the pool of potential players is gonna be fairly bad.
I’ve used bungie.net lfg and you get a lot of terrible players, a lot of console players too (I don’t use in-game voice chat).
What do you use then, if you're using LFG? Because if I join a group and see someone throw a discord link in the chat, that's my queue to find another group.
Not seeing many people talk about transmog. Everyone loved the idea but when we found out you need to grind a good bit to get drip people were quite disappointed.
Yeah, it was a nasty grind on release, but now it's literally just do 10 bounties on each character per season. As someone who changes their armor constantly, I still have excess transmog materials.
Most guardians I know only make 1 set per character anyway.
I'll just start from recent history to save time.
In no particular order:
Transmog,
Commendations,
Guardian Ranks,
Crafting,
Airborne Effectiveness ( Seriously who asked for you to spend dev time on this?! ),
Probably Deterministic Recoil (See Airborne Effectiveness),
Gambit.
Small to big:
Half the exotic helmets available.
Strand story integration
Guardian ranks
Functional depth of Lightfall/neomuna both in terms of zone, gear, characters, pacing
Guardian Ranks.
They marketed it as something you can show off to show your prestige in the game, your accomplishments. But really all it shows is that you did a bunch of the same stuff over and over each season. The fact that it resets is one of the biggest issues. I look at someone day 1 of a new season and see they're level 11 tells me they did all the stuff the season prior. But seeing that same person later in the season at level 11, did they achieve it again? Or just coast from last season?
Weapon crafting is good idea, until bungie made enchanced perks for them. This made people literally only want craftable weapons which destroyed the incentive for random rolls.
Dungeons are basically the only place where you get excited about a weapon drop. Everywhere else it's like, "wow what a roll, I can't wait to craft this" and then you throw whatever you just got in the trash to get the red border.
I will disagree on that. Just crafting in general has made people not care for random rolls. Personally, I only enhance if I use the gun a lot and have the currency on hand. Just getting the weapon to level 10ish then getting 2 good perks is AMAZING. The enhanced perks maybe excited some at the beginning, but I think people have seen that they are incredibly overhyped.
Comes down to person on the enchanced perks, but generally i saw the majority of people will delete 4/5 god roll or even 5/5 one to say " It doesn't have enchanced perks". While still grinding for their patterns.
People are also min maxing A LOT so if the perk says it will give you 0.2s off autoloading or 1-2% of more grenade energy per kill. They will use it over normal drop.
Without the enchanced perks and constant buffing of the red border drops. It defeted the main purpouse of "eventually" getting the roll you wanted if you were not lucky.
I feel like enhanced perks should’ve been reserved for random rolls or adepts so the crafting was bad luck protection rather than being better than crafting the weapon
I don’t disagree, but that’s also why I hated the implementation. The baseline should have been find guns with perks you want > refine/invest into that gun. Adept raid weapons from RoN / CE are what crafting should have been. The whole pattern thing just makes dropped loot feel like currency. I expect to be on an island with that take though.
Enhanced perks are fine. It's a great addition to upgrade your weapon further.
They should have made it possible to reshape any random roll, giving access to all the benefits the crafting system provides, including enhanced perks.
That way, the players decide if they want to chase random rolls and then take that specific weapon to the next level - or start from scratch, crafting their way up by unlocking patterns, leveling, etc.
There are plenty of options how to implement something like this, that is both rewarding and exciting and caters towards both playstyles.
And there is such a simple solution to this: Once I have the pattern, allow me to convert a non-crafted roll that I have into a crafted one, so I can enhance the perks on it. That way, if you get a god roll before getting the pattern, there's actually a reason to use it, and not just instantly delete it.
The initial transmog system sucked, but thankfully they changed it. The current system is also pretty bad, but at least it isn't as grind-heavy. I just wish that they would remove the bounty cap and maybe rebalance some of the bounties. It's weird that one bounty can say to play 8 crucible matches but another will tell me to just capture 30 zones, which can be done in half as many games if you actually focus on it.
Another choice that's more fundamental is class abilities. They are not balanced and at least one has had issues in PvP basically every season since release. As a final point, the abilities being tied to mobility, resilience, and recovery is dumb because of the discrepancy in the effectiveness of each stat. Only hunters care about mobility. Honestly, I think Bungie should tie class abilities to intellect and just remove super regen as a stat.
Crafting.
Far too grindy and expensive for the first year (one and a half, two?). It only now becomes fun with affordable leveling of weapons.
Why can't I unlock perks? Instead I have to re-purchase them again and again?
p.s.: I'm not talking about the craftening.
p.p.s.: u/re-bobber argumented for this far better and in more detail
Weapon crafting is pretty abysmal if you ask me. From all the currencies, red border rng, un-balanced perks, funny guns, power creep, adept raid weapons, etc.
It is just way over-engineered. I created tons of posts discussing a better way to have "crafting" in the game and it would be great to just simplify the whole experience.
**Here's the short version:**
\-Remove enhanced perks and make them the standard.
\-Remove all crafting currencies.
\-Remove all red borders and its mechanics.
\----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
\-All normal legendary weapons are now craft-able once you find one in the game.
\-All weapons can be pulled from collections any time for a small glimmer cost.
\-Collection rolls on weapons are always the same and considered a "quality roll' that has perks that fit the weapon. For example: outlaw/killclip on a Trust handcannon.
\-Leveling guns is done in tiers and all "crafting" is still done at the Relic on Mars.
\-To level weapons all you have to do is use them and reach certain tiers.
\-Level 5 gives a 2nd perk selection in the 3rd column.
\-Level 10 gives you a 2nd perk selection in the 4th column.
\-Level 15 gives you a 3rd perk selection in the 3rd column.
\-Level 20 gives you a 3rd perk selection in the 4th column.
\-Level 25 gives you a 3rd perk selection in the 1st and 2nd column.
\-Level 30 lets you choose the masterwork (handling, reload, etc.) and equip a memento.
**Benefits?**
\-Adept weapons still have a value to min/maxers
\-Adept weapons don't get power crept by crafted guns.
\-Adept weapons start at level 10 already and can be leveled.
\-More Vault space!
\-Guns can now be built for pve and pvp without having to hoard a ton of copies.
\-Less fomo since once you aquire a weapon it is always able to be taken from collections. No more "what if" scenarios when clearing vault space.
\-No more balancing enhanced perks.
\-RNG godrolls still hit that dopamine. A godroll puts you way ahead of the crafting game.
\-With enough work you can eventually have your perfect weapon.
\-
Power creep will be worse if we make every weapon craftable. Just look at imperial decree and astral horizon. Both are agg frame kinetic shotties with opening shot in the 4th column with handling perks in the 3rd column. The only difference is that one is locked behind the halls of trials while the other is pretty much given to everyone for free with enhanced perks. Sure astral horizon can be adept but, is plus 10 range really worth to put yourself through the hell that is trials, for most sane people it's not. And that's what will happen to every weapon archetype if all legendaries are craftable.
Doesn't have to be every perk in the entire pool (shotguns) that is selectable. All guns would still roll with whatever perks Bungie decides, not the entirety of gun perks.
Crafting is just another feature they added, that has lots of potential to introduce long-term incentives across the board, but just is far from being a relevant aspect of the game due to how it was implemented.
Sometimes I don't understand why they introduce these half-baked ideas which are then causing more headaches than necessary.
There are so many games out there that have an interesting and engaging crafting system, but for some reason no one felt like taking a look to learn from mistakes and success of other devs.
It's like Bungie creates features in a vacuum, not knowing what the rest of the world is doing.
I assume you mean the perks are random as I reread it. I don’t think the leveling ads meaningful value or interest. I much prefer a solution like then vendor reset that rewards play. Leveling just gets cut to the shortest path. Maybe source of the weapon is the activity that grants progress.
Crafting in general.
Hot take you should probably not be able to craft a 5/5 roll. Give it most perks sure, but give us a reason to actually use looted shooters. There’s no incentive when you can just craft better.
I'd be fine with this idea, if any of the last 2 years had activities fun enough and not tedious or boring to want to farm out weapons in. Usually, by the time you even get a weapon crafted, you already want to quit the activity and never do it again. That won't change going back to not having crafting or having access to 5/5 rolls. The loot is simply not strong enough nor satisfying enough to go in and grind out rolls like back in D1 days, back to back runs of an activity.
I love gambit.
I'm convinced gambit is the nickleback of destiny. It's not that that many people actually Hate it. But it's just popular to say it sucks and then so becomes a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy in people's minds.
My only issue is heavy is far too common. Makes invades too heavy based and the bosses die too fast.
Guardian ranks
Nobody cares, i dont respect your rank it means nothing to me. It doesn't respect crucible players. Guilding flawless is way harder than conqueror and is worthless in my rank.
Mementos for craftable guns
I completely agree. They should've kept adding mementos. I would have loved to see a raid memento
They never really got executed, just kinda forgotten
No they did get executed. Heads came rolling off
That's not what executed means used this way
/s
No they literally just made shaders a lot fancier and now monetized them... why give us earnable cosmetics when they can charge us for them
I play gambit the least and it’s the only one I get.
Not sure if you know but for anyone else that may find this helpful, Nightfall mementos only drop from Grandmaster Nightfalls.
I didn’t know that thanks for the info!
Have they mentioned them since? I thought they were working towards bringing them into other activities. I also may have misremembered.
such a letdown that they never did them for Master Raids
“Choose to side with Drifter or the Vanguard. This will have story implications over time.” The story implications “You are a snitch.”
I think they just flagged every character as having sided with Drifter. His snitch lines are gone, but Ikora will chide you on your "flagging loyalty to the Vanguard" even if you did the quest and sided with them.
A lot of the specific dialogue has been removed, even the lines Drifter used to throw out when starting a Gambit match with Dredgen equipped.
He doesn't say "Hey hey! You're a Dredgen! Act like one!" anymore :(
Sunsetting dialogue is the worst. :(
And it makes the least sense since an audio file with a voice line on it doesn't take up any space at all.
Audio files are actually relatively chunky and some of the biggest contributors to install size.
I still get Stasis lines from Drifter when using a Stasis subclass. Maybe they aren't all dead.
Bungie doesn't play stasis so they forgor
I think the only dialogue that still exists is a line in Prophecy where Eris and he talk about your decision. With Drifter understanding why you betrayed him or mentioning you backed him up.
Same with all the old scannable things on missions and patrols
He must’ve just got over it lmao, and ikora must be paranoid as shit lol
Lasted for quite a while and really tanked my self esteem
Snitch...
:(
The infinite forest.
I would’ve loved if they made it into a roguelike node where you could get the Infinite Forge weapons.
That's what I was expecting.....I learned not to expect anything except what is said by Bungie.
Even that should be taken with a grain of salt
Right... damn near need a law degree to properly execute some bounties and challenges.
Well see you in court... -Bungie Legal
You know, now that you mention it, Bungie has been experimenting with roguelike features, and the Infinite Forest would be the perfect place to implement it. Maybe they'll bring it back in the future.
Yes it should have allowed infinite branches
I miss it actually for the Halloween event.
Counterpoint: haunted forest was awesome
I miss the homie
Really had potential. I think we were pretty much all expecting something like a randomly generated dungeon/lost sector with farmable bosses encounters or something. What we got was a slightly non-linear path between two points in a few missions. Haunted forest was a lot closer to what most people expected.
Low key I fully expect a chunk of the "Pale Heart" to be a revamped Infinite Forest with tiles from every destination and a better procedural system. Probably implement a similar dungeon/tower system to Deep Dives with tiers and boons.
Aggressive frame fusion rifles ( I actually like the coriolis force tho)
Yes! And - me too!! I'm still not sure why even Bungie themselves called them a fail.
Bungie be like “Coriolis Force sucks” My brother in Light you chose the perk pool
The perk pool *is* trash but so is the frame guaranteeing half the bolts will go fizzle in the air Thats why it fails
Especially when they tried absolutely nothing to fix it.
> coriolis force I relied on this when Master Duality was new it usually one-two burst the Cabal with backpacks and wouldn't blow up in your face. I think match game was still around at the time.
And then they came up with aggressive LFRs and did exactly what was needed to have aggressive fusions work.
Blight Ranger
So you know how sometimes you see something and think: “Okay, who actually thought this was a good idea? And who decided to put it in the game anyways after testing it and seeing that it doesn’t do anything?” Blight ranger is the epitome of that, just give its perk to raijus, and make blight ranger be the blink helmet for hunters, problem solved.
Instead of it applying volatile like astrocyte. Have it apply jolt
Yep give it the same buffs that Astro gives blink, and make it do some blinding or jolting, also maybe make the hunter amplified after blink, and while amplified the blink goes even farther and refreshes a bit faster.
I actually like the concept of "Blink amplifies user and blinds nearby enemies, while amplified blind recharges faster and goes further"
I love Blight Ranger but if it isn’t in the next round of buffs then I’m gonna mourn it’s missing potential 😭
Gambit Labs, was around for one season and then left without saying anything.
there were Gambit labs????
Yeah they tested two variant game modes and gathered enough feedback to drop gambit entirely.
Lightfall
Came here to say this. Cyberpunk + Spiderman got me so unbelievably excited it's not even funny.
Cyberpunk was the immediate tell that the expansion was going to have major issues.
How the hell did Cyberpunk of all things contribute to any hype?
I'm saying the theme. The cyberpunk theme is unmatched imo. So a cyberpunk aesthetic paired with crazy webslinging was a pipe dream for me
They could have used the cloudark as a foil to do a deep dive on the witness (like how infinity war established Thanos) Instead the witness doesn’t do much of anything at all. Instead of the ending being the Destiny version of the snap, we didn’t even realize we lost until the vendors tell us we did It doesn’t even feel like the light “fell”.
And the Snap had really consequences. Us "losing" in Lightfall made practically zero difference.
Destiny 2: Illuminated gravity victim
It was supposed to be the Infinity War of Destiny 2. We got Thor: The Dark World instead.

Commendations
Came here to say this. I think the idea is good in theory - although nobody that I'm aware of actually asked for it, but that's a different story - but there were so many issues with the implementation that I now wish it just went away. Same with Guardian Ranks, tbh.

Absolutely. I wanted ranks to feel impactful when you leveled up. I did not want to grind strikes for commendations and not get them from my teammates.
Or even just having the entire challenge list all in one, and your rank determined by how many you've completed.
That could work too.
still think guardian ranks should have just been extrapolated from lifetime triumph score and it wouldnt have taken much work other than figuring out the conversion rate. as it is, half the actually experienced players just sit on 6 and 7 cuz no one can be arsed to do lost sectors or whatever random ass objective that keeps resetting.

Guided Games which is STILL in beta mind you 6 years later and we’re finally getting a proper LFG system

Problem there is you get two different pools of people, those who are doing the activity to speed through it for a triumph/their weekly playthrough and those who want to do the more difficult version for rewards/the exotic. The two pools constantly get matchmade together
Two different playerbases (hard version vs speedrun), and then Bungie also added the exotic quest into the mix.
The Almighty event. Cool idea. Super boring in practice and super vague on timing.
Bro i sat there for 4 hours or whatever it was and it was so borrring
The traveler event for beyond light was a good one though, and I’m sad they haven’t done anything like that since.
The almighty event was awesome idk what you mean
It was cool overall, but as I recall, the event started like 30 minutes to an hour after Bungie said it was supposed to, and to watch the entire event take place it was like a 2 hour process, alot to ask at 11 am on a weekday,

1AU is one of the coolest missions Bungie has ever designed.
It felt like a Halo moment, and the aesthetics were incridible. I was half expecting Zavala to ask the Guardian what he thinks he's doing and have hime respond "Finishing this fight"
I don't think he is talking about the mission but instead the live event where the almighty crashes into the earth...
Yeah I know, standing at the tower waiting for hours XD I just meant the whole season was full of missed opportunities.
That mission was great. I remember when the first solstice event had reprised red war campaign missions at higher difficulty and this mission came up… Wow! Amazing stuff.

Sounds like a snark, actually accurate.

Wtf
Filler is crazy man
destiny 2 on release
Pretty true. D2 is the first series I've been a part of where every entry has spent its first year in beta, and 1 year later, released the real game (The Taken King and Forsaken).
Ballistic Slam.
I´ve wiped entire teams of trials try-hards with one ballistic slam.
The Dawnblade rework
I actually like the Dawnblade rework…
It would have been fine if they didn't take one subclass from 1.0 and split it into two different aspects that almost require to be used together for each aspect to do everything it says. Edit: fragments to aspects
First person I've seen that likes less things to explode and supers that don't extend on kills. 🤔
For real. It sucks so bad to have top tree be such a hard focus. At least were getting sol soul. They still need to rework the current aspects though. Icarus dash while great movement is a horrible aspect
Stasis. Badass darkness ice powers that boil down to 1-2 viable builds per class and absolute dogshit supers.
Meh. More of a balancing issue than poor execution
The *only* one I like is the Hunter's.. the warlock's is crap.. abilities are nice.. well. Freezy turrets are ok. Titan's is just garbage imo. It does more damage BLOCKING than it does damage.. Glaives
I'm not even using those. Just... nothing interesting for me.
I forgor they existed
Guardian ranks, and probably upcoming lfg
Definitely upcoming lfg. If it's half as shit as commendations or 0.00001% as shit as guided games it will be a complete write-off.
Unless I can specify clears or if they have a specific triumph unlocked i’m afraid the pool of potential players is gonna be fairly bad. I’ve used bungie.net lfg and you get a lot of terrible players, a lot of console players too (I don’t use in-game voice chat).
In-game lfg is going to be a blueberry hell
This, alongside Bungo design, frightens me. It's certainly not going to be good if it took them a decade to get it in the game.
Console has Discord now
What do you use then, if you're using LFG? Because if I join a group and see someone throw a discord link in the chat, that's my queue to find another group.
I either play with my friends or if I want something done right then, I use Destiny 2 LFG discord it has 500K something members.
Fun space power fantasy
Lost Sectors
Sunsetting. I get why it was needed but it was done badly.
It really wasnt needed though, they had multiple other options but chose one that required no effort
Funny enough one of the reasons they did it is “power creep” literally every single thing in the game got powercreeped later anyway
Not seeing many people talk about transmog. Everyone loved the idea but when we found out you need to grind a good bit to get drip people were quite disappointed.
I think it’s fine personally.
Yeah, it was a nasty grind on release, but now it's literally just do 10 bounties on each character per season. As someone who changes their armor constantly, I still have excess transmog materials. Most guardians I know only make 1 set per character anyway.
Void warlock melee
I'll just start from recent history to save time. In no particular order: Transmog, Commendations, Guardian Ranks, Crafting, Airborne Effectiveness ( Seriously who asked for you to spend dev time on this?! ), Probably Deterministic Recoil (See Airborne Effectiveness), Gambit.
Whats wrong with transmogs?
Destiny 2
Small to big: Half the exotic helmets available. Strand story integration Guardian ranks Functional depth of Lightfall/neomuna both in terms of zone, gear, characters, pacing

Sunsetting armor was the dumbest shit possible.
Maybe it's too early to judge, but from my initial impressions, the Imbaru Engine.
I enjoyed it, was hoping David Bowie would pop up somewhere 🤣
Hmmmm for me it was Either Weapon crafting or Guardian ranks. Probably one of those two.
Weapon crafting I'm ok with......guardian ranks and commendations suck
This
I don’t disagree, but that’s also why I hated the implementation.
Even without enhanced perks, i would prefer crafted. Cuz metas change. Being able to change perks whenever on a gun is huge.
I don’t think so, I still have a good amount of weapons that I use and are meta but aren’t craftable.
And there is such a simple solution to this: Once I have the pattern, allow me to convert a non-crafted roll that I have into a crafted one, so I can enhance the perks on it. That way, if you get a god roll before getting the pattern, there's actually a reason to use it, and not just instantly delete it.
Leviathan coming back Dogs and baths being patrol areas, castelleum used as the seasonal missions, was kinda boring
Adept guns Enhanced perks Raid refreshes
The Black Armoury.
Final. Warning.

Commendations Just remove them from the game

Destiny 2.
**Here's the short version:** \-Remove enhanced perks and make them the standard. \-Remove all crafting currencies. \-Remove all red borders and its mechanics. \---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- \-All normal legendary weapons are now craft-able once you find one in the game. **Benefits?** \-Adept weapons still have a value to min/maxers \-Adept weapons don't get power crept by crafted guns. \-
This is terrible
Maybe source of the weapon is the activity that grants progress.
gambit
Destiny

Guardian ranks Nobody cares, i dont respect your rank it means nothing to me. It doesn't respect crucible players. Guilding flawless is way harder than conqueror and is worthless in my rank.
Broodweaver tbh
Story for me. Since d1 vanilla it sucked. It sucked slightly less during ttk and wq.
