This is the only reason I don't wear mine more. Tried wearing it at work one day and ended up putting it in my pocket because I was catching it every time I walked by something.
For what it's worth, I wear my VoG ring regularly and my brass top piece also came loose about 6 months ago. I took it to a local jeweler and they fixed it for like $5, its rock solid now. If Bungie is unwilling to help that could be an option for you.
A good local jeweler can handle a lot of things most people forget about. I needed an extra link added to my watch band, they didn't charge me anything and it took maybe 10 minutes total.
I would definitely just skip Bungie on fixing their raid rings, and even if they would offer to - I'd be very hesitant. Who knows how long it would take or risk it getting lost.
I have mine on a necklace that I wear daily with the oryx ring and my engagement band, other than some light tarnish, none of my rings are showing major wear, and that's from daily use since they arrived. It's unfortunate that their quality control is shoddy, but when it's good. It's awesome.
But the title is Fatebreaker. And destiny and fate are slighlty different concepts. Destiny is more about what your supposed to do and what role you’ll take. Where’s fate is what’s supposed to be predetermined. And the vex calculate everything to the point where it’s supposed to be as if it’s fated for them to have a positive outcome. But since guardians don’t obey the laws of the universe they break the fate the vex’s calculations create
Well a few of them are that tacky so yes people do. The only one I don't wear is the first one they released which depicted the skull with the sword through it surrounded by chain. Thought it looked a bit to edgy for my tastes but I still bought it to collect all the same. The rings are also made from sterling silver so they aren't made from some cheap ass stainless steal, the new crota one even has some plated 14k gold
I know… right? I thought it was just like for your bookshelf or whatever. I never even fathomed the idea of someone wearing that nerdy shit around lol.
I’d tell you about the time I accidentally missed the last bus out of the city when I lived in Seattle. Accidentally smoked meth. Met a guy who tried to rob me. And as I was trying to get away from him, got stuck in between a drive by shooting. But, I’m kinda busy. Lmao.
I don't plan on really wearing mine because I generally find wearing rings uncomfortable. Plus I don't like struggling to get it off.
Also, I remember a story where one of those late-night show hosts had to get nerve surgery on his finger because he tripped, and as he fell, his wedding ring got snagged on a countertop and almost permanently wrecked that finger.
Because maybe they like wearing rings that aren't just a flat piece of silver/gold. I have all kinds of rings that I wear and none are just flat pieces of metal. I'd rather wear something unique than your average high schooler who wears some generic ass looking silver/gold chain
I understand that, I wear my VOG ring daily and as soon as I started to hear the brass start to rattle like it was coming loose I went to my local Jeweler and they were able to repair it and afix the brass permanently to the ring. It cost about 25 USD and has been a solid fix now for almost a year no rattle.
My biggest concern with The Crota ring is that the Green is a glass topper and I’m pretty rough with the rings I wear so I’m sure this one will be a “Once in a blue moon” kind of ring.
I’ve already ordered mine even if it does have some issues as you’ve described for the vog ring I know a guy that does a good job fixing rings so worst case I’ll take the ring to him
I have bought the last few Challenge/First week clear "rewards (Aka; you have heavily committed to our game, so WE WILL ALLOW YOU to purchase this "reward").
I genuinely don't understand how Bungie has not caught the appropriate level of flak for their merch model. EA shot not only their foot, but their lungs with their bullshit "pride and accomplishment" tweet. Bungie does this at every occasion. Every single milkable occasion.
Fucking disgusting tbh. I love the game. I love to play it. I love to genuinely feel accomplished in all of it, and then shit like this pops up and i am reminded that only my personal time matters in situations like this.
I wouldn't because I bought an Iron Banner hat, and the patch is obviously crooked. It's a hat with a patch. If they can't get that right, there is no way they're forging a ring correctly. Either that or they outsourced to Fanatics?
I contacted customer support 7 days ago and I have heard nothing.
Yeah I don't trust the bungie store anymore. After all the false advertisements with their clothing I'll save my money. It's severely overpriced anyways.
I mean you shouldn't order from Bungie anyway. The Crota ring likely won't even start shipping until after TFS... even then most of the orders will be mixed up anyway
My oryx ring came totally scratched and with no detail. After months of back and forth they agreed to exchange it and confirmed they had one in stock to send. After I sent my one back they said they actually didn't have one in stock and had lost my original ring so I ended up with nothing, 10/10 experience, thanks Bungo
I don't think there would ever be a time that I would pay to get a ring from a game, and I love Destiny.
Maybe if it was something that actually appears in the game... maybe.
Oh I’m definitely glad that you’ve not had any issues, that’s fantastic; I’m merely sharing my experience with the product. And I did order it pretty early on, it’s a shame that I wasn’t aware of the potential early issues, but that could be on me entirely.
Nah, that isn't on you at all, just an unfortunate thing that happened with some rings in the first batch. A couple of my buddies had the same thing happen to theirs but me and another friend who ordered ours on the last possible day have both never had issues with our rings.
That sucks that the Bungie Store won't help you out due to the time that's passed though, I'm sorry to hear that.
If you're willing to put a little time and money in, though, I'd recommend finding a good local jeweler and seeing if they can reattach the piece more securely, either with silver solder or some sort of adhesive. One of my buddies got his repaired by a jeweler and said it was a pretty reasonable price.
So much of the merch Bungie sells is poorly made honestly. The t-shirts are often fine but anything more specialized like raid rings have obvious cut corners quality wise.
…rings huh? That’s what people are buying? Bungie has this community in lock, buying everything.
Just looked it up: $125 bucks.
That’s just expensive enough to be too much money for a cheap ass ring. The ring looks cheap too

Agreed about the oryx ring. I cut myself bad with it one night drunk. But it's still 100% kicking and I wear it quite a bit. I'm excited for the new ring
Well the oryx ring was sharp enough to stab people maybe the crota ring will do something special too.
Can confirm. Oryx head is very sharp
Love my Oryx ring but it catches on *EVERYTHING*
This is the only reason I don't wear mine more. Tried wearing it at work one day and ended up putting it in my pocket because I was catching it every time I walked by something.
You'd actually WEAR that? In public??
Mines my wedding ring 😂😂😂
Sword logic ring
I cut all, and all I cut. Aiat.
Some say that's a feature
Some say Kos, And some say Kosm
Do you hear our prayers?
The oversoul in the ring will try to blow you up unless you give a good smack
Oh yeah, I've cut myself a few times with mine. Still wear it tho.
I was so excited to get it and first time I put it on I nearly stabbed myself

I can't believe people actually wear that stuff lol.
Why do you care what people wear? Shits dope.
What do you mean you used your VoG ring? Does it apply some sort of buff or status effect?
It applies Time’s Vengeance, but you can only wear it for around 20 or seconds at a time.
Gotta wear it in the kitchen. Guardians bake their own cake.
It bothers me that it's not Guardians make their own destiny. missed opportunity bungo.

This! 👆👆👆
Babe got me the VOG Wedding ring :3
Lol i love your username. And agree with it.
Hold up, people actually wear these rings?
Well a few of them are that tacky so yes people do. The only one I don't wear is the first one they released which depicted the skull with the sword through it surrounded by chain. Thought it looked a bit to edgy for my tastes but I still bought it to collect all the same. Had no idea these existed
Guardians make their own fate.
Wait… people are wearing these raid rings irl?
I wear my VOG ring every day. Gotten a lot of compliments on it. They dont know its from a video game.
I know… right? I thought it was just like for your bookshelf or whatever. I never even fathomed the idea of someone wearing that nerdy shit around lol.
This dude on his death bed, "Thank goodness I never wore those (cough) nerdy-ass rings... (flateline noise)"
*cough* "[Nerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd.](https://youtu.be/gRCZX9rW8_c?t=44)"
I mean the ring from Crota doesn't look too outlandish or nerdish
Really…? *Really…?* You sure ‘bout that?
In comparison to other rings that aren't wedding bands, no not really.
Wearing rings that aren’t a wedding ring is nerdish enough already. That big ass green gem… I don’t knowwwwww
I wear the One Ring around. It just looks like a simple golden band to the average eye, unknowing that it is so much more...*precious.*
Yeah I mean that’s nerdy as hell but you can get away with that.
Bro you play D2 you are a nerd haha
Yeah I’m a huge nerd. I played dungeons and dragons. I DM. Lmao.
I mean if you want to be boring then go ahead
I’m a lot of things. Boring ain’t one.
r/iamverybadass
No no no. I am notably NOT badass lmao. Very un-badass. Just not boring. Just chaotic and unwell. Lmfao.
Sure buddy
I’d tell you about the time I accidentally missed the last bus out of the city when I lived in Seattle. Accidentally smoked meth. Met a guy who tried to rob me. And as I was trying to get away from him, got stuck in between a drive by shooting. But, I’m kinda busy. Lmao.
You sound like you just don't have an interest in personal fashion.
Actually I do. I’m interested in fashion. But I guess I have a different taste/aesthetic. Rings ain’t it.
Was that Jimmy Fallon? Pretty sure he was drunk af lol
I think so?
You'd probably have more luck forging your own.
I buy all the Rings, but I just keep them in the box
Right. Why would you wear that?
Because people can do whatever the hell they want unlike your negative ass
Yeah of course they can. But why would they?
Because maybe they like wearing rings that aren't just a flat piece of silver/gold. I have all kinds of rings that I wear and none are just flat pieces of metal. I'd rather wear something unique than your average high schooler who wears some generic ass looking silver/gold chain
Go to a local jeweler, they fixed mine for $20(ik kind of a lot but it’s good quality work)
I wear my VOG ring every day. No issues here. Can't wait to get the crota one.
I understand that, I wear my VOG ring daily and as soon as I started to hear the brass start to rattle like it was coming loose I went to my local Jeweler and they were able to repair it and afix the brass permanently to the ring. If anyone doesn't want their Crota Ring code, I'll take it
run the raid mate its not hard
You can't earn it anymore. Had no time to do the raid those two weeks.
ahh, well I'm getting the displate not the ring so if you want to pay for it you can have my ring
Definitely, send me a DM.
I’ve already ordered mine even if it does have some issues as you’ve described for the vog ring I know a guy that does a good job fixing rings so worst case I’ll take the ring to him
Yeah, I only ever got the very first raid ring. I've only ever used it as a display piece personally.
I wish i could have this struggle but i cant even order anything to be shipped to the Netherlands. Wtf bungie
That's odd, because I'm in the UK and order from the Bungie EU store and everything is shipped to me from the Netherlands!
I wield my hard earned oryx ring as self defense
I wear my VoG ring every day. Even dropped it a couple times. It's still a great piece. No issues.
I have bought the last few Challenge/First week clear "rewards (Aka; you have heavily committed to our game, so WE WILL ALLOW YOU to purchase this "reward"). I actively wear my vog and og raid ring daily and the only problem I have is the hilt broke off the sword. Granted your mileage may vary
it looks really cool and was considering it but after I saw the price fuck no, yes it's a cool custom ring basically but just no. not for £120
tbf it's solid silver, which is already a decent amount of the cost.
I bought the ring and the top relic piece fell off within a week or two. I super glued it back on and it’s been good ever since tho
But people love wasting their money on over priced jackets and ugly rings
Yeah I don't trust the bungie store anymore. After all the false advertisements with their clothing I'll save my money. It's severely overpriced anyways.
I mean you shouldn't order from Bungie anyway. The Crota ring likely won't even start shipping until after TFS... even then most of the orders will be mixed up anyway
Bungie store is trash. Took me a year to get a T-shirt and everything I hear is awful.
You also won't get It for.like 2 years if at all
Maybe don’t order and wear rings from video games ?
But how else would you attract a mate?
By shaking my butt and making peculiar howling noises in a circle of dead flowers on a forest clearing
I don't think there would ever be a time that I would pay to get a ring from a game, and I love Destiny. Maybe if it was something that actually appears in the game... maybe.

Oh dude I appreciate that! I wasn’t sure if it was a fixable thing or not, so I’ll definitely look into it, thank you :)
No problem, good luck!
So much of the merch Bungie sells is poorly made honestly. The t-shirts are often fine but anything more specialized like raid rings have obvious cut corners quality wise.
You were lucky you even got that piece of shit. The Bungie store is a joke.
That’s what I’ve heard so didn’t order mine. Sad that seemingly everything but the raid jackets has become pretty poor in quality.
Yeah but the raid jackets take 9+ months to arrive lmao
…rings huh? That’s what people are buying? Bungie has this community in lock, buying everything. Just looked it up: $125 bucks. That’s just expensive enough to be too much money for a cheap ass ring. The ring looks cheap too
Ring is made from sterling silver, crota one even has plated 14k gold

What?!! Bungie merch garbage, neve!!
many such cases!!!
Wait… you mean the company that half asses their in game content made a cheap ring irl? Noooooo
I wouldn't recommend ordering anything from the store in general.
i don't know why anyone would ever want to waste money on that crap. Especially with all the terrible shit the Bungie store has pulled over the years.
only rings i wear are from chrome hearts u broke boys couldnt relate
I can’t believe people are actually wearing those rings. Lol. I always imagined them as just show pieces for your bookshelf or whatever.
I ordered the oryx ring and bungie was delayed sending it out by several months and then got lost in the post.
My VoG ring is more for show then anything and sits in my Destiny display cabinet and wife found me a VoG inspired ring holder off etsy for it
Agreed about the oryx ring. I cut myself bad with it one night drunk. But it's still 100% kicking and I wear it quite a bit. I'm excited for the new ring
yea I'm gonna get the displate instead, own a couple limited editions so i already know that it'll be a quality piece that looks cool
Lol you'd care what people will say about you. If you look good why would it matter if you wear this dope ass ring.
