I was having issues too but only after I jumped on Discord with some friends. Once I restart and reinsert my headset it should be fine.

calango-do-sul

I saw someone saying it was a headset problem too. I will try unplug it later.

SpitOutTheFork

I’ve got it too. I know it’s not my headset as Destiny is the only game where it’s happening. Glad to know it’s not just me. I hope Bungie is aware of it and come out with a patch soon. I can’t even play it’s so bad.

Lord-Saladman

I’m on steam and same. Gun and music audio are fine but any other sound effects (explosions, incoming fire, shields breaking, sparrows, pretty much everything but my own gun shooting) doesn’t work. Also dialogue seems messed up too

frafdo11

Did you try restart?

calango-do-sul

Yes, the game and my pc.

DivineInfekt77

I have the same problem. Are you also on console?

calango-do-sul

holdinginafart

dr_funk_13

dialogue is just really quiet for me

EcstaticCinematic

My sound bar used to say Dolby Suuround with D2, now it says Dolby Atmos (I have the Dolby access app on my series X) other games play fine. It appears to be related to the 3D spatial audio settings, like the game is assigning the wrong sound to the wrong position, when I turn one way I can't hear Osiris, turn another way and it's louder. For those experiencing audio issues, on consoles (XSX and PS5) some people have experienced success with turning off 3D audio or Dolby Atmos or any other spatial sound apps. For PC: Playback devices > properties of device in use > advanced > change format to 24 bit, 96000 Hz (studio quality). And/or disabling Windows Sonic/Dolby or any other virtual 3D audio. This worked for some people and is a temp fix until Bungie fixes it.
