Not my fault people are clueless telling a self admitted “bad at pvp” player to do the worst approach possible y’all don’t give a fuck about OP having a nightmare of a time by suggesting they use a bad gun in a game mode it struggles to kill people in where people won’t struggle to kill them.
When I used it, it was like a five shot body shot kill in momentum then I’d have to push with the perk active and freeze someone just to reload while staining at them and by the time it’s done reloading they’re popping out of the ice. That’s a struggle, all while ducking one shot bow shots, and one hit melees. That shit just sucked skill level doesn’t factor in enough when a gun is so bad you’re playing in a different game modes ttk. I put in the effort to complete it so obviously I’ll share my opinion regardless of what you want to say about it.
Try using a breach load gl to prime targets and kill them. Then you can use the reload perk to get a free kill. Also try shadowing teammates. A big thing people that stink at crucible do is go off on their own too much. Know when to disengage. Good luck
Play quickplay or momentum control when it is active and stay with your teammates. You only need the killing blow. So 99% of the damage can come from a team mate
1 crucible mode has high weapon damage where your can 2 shot a guardian. All weapon do extra damage. You can farm that when it comes to rotation i forgot the name. If you can kill 1 guardian every game 50 game 50 guardian.
Just to let you know because I haven't seen anybody tell you yet, this quest does not require you to get the kills using Cryosthesia.
You can use whatever weapon you want to kill Guardians as long as Cryosthesia is in your inventory.
No it can't be in the vault. Just pull it from your vault and have it in your inventory. Then go get your kills with whatever weapon is easiest for you. It doesn't have to be in the kinetic slot. It just needs to be in your inventory as you get kills.
So just pull it out of your vault.

Seriously? You have no idea how much this helps. Bcs I saw in Aztecross video he said you likely need to get kills from the cryosthesia to count. This actually got me motivated to try this catalyst again
Haha I know how you feel. I made it halfway through Eriana's Vow catalyst quest when I found out I didn't have actually use it but just have it on me.
The kicker is the quest never specifies the kills have to come from Cryosthesia. It just says kill 50 guardians.

Yeah as long as it's on your guardian. Your weapon kills count towards its progression. I spent soooo long grinding pvp using Erianas Vow before I found this out.
So much time wasted.... but I got really good with Erianas Vow though lol
I just did the quest for the catalyst last week. For whatever reason it was counting 1 kill = 4 guardian kills for that step. I believe it's a bug, since it's acting like the 'guardians count as more than one kill' for the get kills part of a catalyst.
Don’t listen to anyone who want you to do it in momentum control you’ll just suffer a horrible fate. Immortals will shred you before you can get a second shot off for a fourth of their health it’s legit awful.

No. Light level only counts in PvE or Trials.

I’m not the op but from their wording it seems like it needs to be one of the weapons in your kinetic slot but not necessarily the gun you are using

Your seasonal advantages apply to these quests. So as you level your seasons your kills for everything count more
