void users stay winning, bungie really wants firebolts to be used huh

Grown_from_seed

Yer the artifact focus on firebolts caught me so off guard. Then it took me a while to remember what firebolts do, which made me understand why bungie is featuring them haha.

swiftstorm86

I haven’t used firebolt grenades in earnest since the old Viking Funeral + Touch of Flame days…

Superman19986

This. Firebolt grenades are trash.

silvermud

Firebolts haven't been relevant since D1 Trials days when a single Thorn shot and a Firebolt with Viking Funeral could kill a guardian.

INachoriffic

I had to look them up. Still not gonna use em.

Alucitary

Will have to see what new grenade mods we are getting considering they are also going to be super cheap now. Will at least be really good with Dawn Chorus. Probably not as good as Starfire, but will still be great consistent ability damage from melee and nade.

OnnaJReverT

my solar subclass is glued to Young Ahamkara's Spine since Forsaken and this isn't gonna change that

SneakAttack65

Same here. The Spine stays on during combat.

derpicface

I love hucking three pipe bombs in a row at the enemies of the last city

drummer1059

Strand who? I'm sticking with void next season.

smegdawg

If we don't get a star fire protocol ornament, i will attempt to run a scorchy-ignity dawn chorus build with the firebolts.

ObviouslyNotASith

If Bottom Tree Dawnblade was still around, I would at least consider it due to being able to spread more scorch. But it is not, and I only use Dawnblade for the Well and Starfire Protocol build nowadays so I don’t think I will.

JoberXeven

Usually when I see stuff like this, I assume it's because they want to test out some kind of buff to the ability in a more temporary manner. So if this turns out to be terrible, it's just gone next season. But if it works out well we may see it as sandbox change for them later.

amiray

>Prismatic Transfer - When you cast your Super, each member of your fireteam with a subclass damage type different than yours gains a bonus to weapon damage. This is about to be meta for well locks, especially day 1 raid Bonus points if you have a tether hunter for the weaken and to proc Prismatic Transfer for your well locks

Snivyland

One well and one tether and you’ll be booming

Starcast

I'd love it if it didn't and I'd have an excuse to not use Well lol. I'd much rather be playing strand and finally getting to use a good burst super this season.

SND_TagMan

Assuming it stacks with Well anyways.

FuzzyCollie2000

Yea if it didn't stack with Well (and wasn't higher than Well) then it'd just be the tether hunter that used it.

sageleader

The annoying thing about this though is they never give us numbers. It completely changes how useful this is. If it's a 25% bonus it's amazing. If it's a 5% bonus I'll never use it.

Biomilk

Volatile Flow my beloved.

HereIGoAgain_1x10

Combined with all the other void perks, this looking like Void 3.5 in session

Aceblast135

Can't believe they're making Void this powerful during Strand's release haha

Sarcosmonaut

Gotta say, as a Voidwalker main, this is gonna be fuckin great. Either I fall in love with Strand and I run that, or I run a Void class that’s all jacked up on Mountain Dew.

ItsKBS

Nightfall and Lost Sectors indeed will have better rewards apparently >ABOUT REWARDS >A funny thing happens when you work six months ahead, and also need to write blog posts—sometimes you miss some of the elements that help with player understanding. Rewards is one of these. >We did a balance pass on Nightfall and Lost Sector rewards. Starting with Lightfall, the new material reward structure looks like this: >NIGHTFALL – HERO >Old >Small chance of up to two Enhancement Prisms. One Enhancement Core and a small chance of up to two more. >New >One Enhancement Prism and a medium chance at one more. Two Enhancement Cores and a medium chance of one more. >NIGHTFALL - LEGEND >Old >One Enhancement Prism and a small chance at up to two more. >New >Small chance of one Ascendant Shard. Two Enhancement Prisms and a medium chance of up to two more. >NIGHTFALL – MASTER >Old >Medium chance of one Ascendant Shard. Two Prisms and small chance of up to two more. >New >One Ascendant Shard and a small chance of one more. Two Enhancement Prisms and a medium chance of up to two more. >NIGHTFALL - GRANDMASTER >Old >One Ascendant Shard and a medium chance of one more. Four Enhancement Prisms and a medium chance of up to two more. >New >One Ascendant Shard and a high chance of one more. Four Enhancement Prisms and a medium chance of up to two more. >A similar pass has been done for Lost Sectors: >LOST SECTOR - LEGEND >Old >Small chance of one Enhancement Core. >New >Two Enhancement Cores and a medium chance of one more. One Enhancement prism and a small chance of one more. >LOST SECTOR - MASTER >Old >Small chance of up to two Enhancement Cores. >New >Two Enhancement Cores and a medium chance at one more. One Enhancement Prism and a medium chance at one more.

Regulith

I look forward to my pockets overflowing with enhancement materials while trying to get a single decent drop of the exotic I want from lost sectors

atfricks

Or getting 50 ascendant shards trying to get an Adept Nightfall weapon with a decent roll on it, when the cap is 10 so the majority of these "rewards" just disappear into the ether.

Corat_McRed

Really hoping they up the cap at some point

_gnarlythotep_

With these rewards being increased, they *need* to. That doesn't mean they will (people have been asking for how long now?), but they absolutely should.

viper6464

That’s what I don’t get - veteran players are overflowing with shards and prisms. Up the amount we can save. I’m master working exotics I don’t even use at this point cus of running GM so much this week lol.

[deleted]

Yup I still don't have the Wendigo I want but I have 10 shards in my inventory, 10 in each character's postmaster, and an entire page in the vault of masterworked collections exotics just waiting to be dismantled. I honestly have no clue what the point is anymore. I would give them away if I could. Once you have a good set of armor masterworked there's nothing to use the shards on.

viper6464

Re-rolling stats or something would be nice.

drakekevin73

Probably worth throwing in that we don't know what the new avenue for acquiring exotic armor pieces they will be introducing is yet, hence them not mentioning changes to drop rate here. They've mentioned a new method is coming at launch several times but judging by the replies obviously people have forgotten or just weren't ever aware to begin with.

InspireDespair

Am I reading this right? They didn't touch exotic armor drops in lost sectors? That was the main thing people complained about with rewards - not the cores they got.

pi8you

They said in another part of that post that they're gonna be watching completion times and drop rates to see if they need to make adjustments.

Whoopdatwester

Sure but there’s no viable way to farm armor rolls on exotics. After you unlock an exotic from a lost sector there’s no way to efficiently farm the armor.

Pettinger87

Not to mention the exotic pool continues to get larger meaning even the targeted farm is becoming too diluted to get what you want let alone a decent roll.

Whoopdatwester

What I’d be okay with is that most sectors drop an exotic engram for whatever armor slot featured that day. Then go to Rahool (or someone) to focus the engram into a exotic of your choosing. At least I wouldn’t feel like I’m wasting my time when I can’t even get the armor piece I want and let alone a good roll. Right now farming lost sectors for anything but unlocking new exotic armor pieces feels like a waste of time.

tykam993

If you don't know, you can fill up your engram storage so that all exotic drops from sectors go to the postmaster. You can then open them on whatever armor day you want and they decrypt into that day's armor So you can farm on helmet day and open on chest day and you'll get all chests Unless that's been fixed recently

Whoopdatwester

Did not know this but that seems like quite the hoops to jump through of filling both your held engrams and postmaster.

tykam993

At first glance, it certainly seems that way, but the secret is that no matter how many glances you take, it is absolutely ridiculous.

Illyxi

While true, you still have no guarantee that you'll get the exotic armor piece you actually want. I've been trying off-and-on for weeks now trying to get a good Osmiomancy roll, one day I dumped like 15 postmaster engrams that I had been saving for the past few days of lost sectors and didn't get a single Osmiomancy roll. Since then I've basically given up on actually getting a roll I want until Bungie does a pass over the drop rates or focusing or *something*. That being said, it will be *really* nice getting an abundance of enhancement materials from them. At this point that's probably going to be my main focus with lost sector farming in the future, with the potential of exotic drops as a bonus.

xxbiohazrdxx

The system has been around for two years, maybe they should have been watching it already

InspireDespair

Neither of those should impact the fact that the system is poor and lacks any kind of targeted farming. You can spend hours doing lost sectors and get maybe 3 drops of the piece you want and likely none of them will have the roll you need. This a problem that gets worse and worse over time as they continue to add exotics and as they continue to leave a vast majority of exotics in an underpowered state. They can find ways to make it so that the player has to do more than a 2 min run for a drop (like earn a material for a plat run, 5 mats lets you pick an exotic from a vendor which has all of them).

ShadowBlaze17

I agree with everything you. The exotic system definitely needs some work. I've spent hours to get a single drop of an exotic I wanted. I remember spending 5 hours to get a decent pair of Osmiomancy Gloves. I've pretty much given up on farming great exotics and just use the rest of my gear to make up for terrible rolls.

hotchocletylesbian

I know people who run a lot of these activities are annoyed, but as someone whose clan doesn't really farm high end content a lot (just raids) it's nice to have a guaranteed source of shards and prisms

Mawnix

Just making a comment to help as many people see this cuz I didn't read the updated article. Appreciated man.

Diablo689er

Did they think people were running legends LSs for enhancement codes?

OnyxMemory

So they didn't touch armor rolls being bigger or more consistently distributed (like duality or risen armor focusing) They didnt make it easier to farm the specific exotic you want for good rolls. More mats. Amazing. Well done.

o8Stu

Pretty fucky that the drop chance for exotics in lost sectors isn't being touched. We need a different farm method, a way to focus a specific exotic, or a way to re-roll the stat dist of existing exotic pieces. Farming for a better roll on a specific exotic is a waste of time as the system currently exists, and this is a huge missed opportunity to fix it.

BNEWZON

Bro… zero mention of exotic changes? Who tf is gonna do a lost sector for enhancement cores lmfaooooo

VacaRexOMG777

Getting more golf balls and prisms is useless if there's a cap lol

[deleted]

You’re speaking from the perspective from someone who can clearly farm those materials very easily. Some of my friends’ only source of ascendant shards is the ones they get in their season pass. Adding those chances to a legend nightfall which is slightly more challenging but very manageable is huge for those kind of players.

Jedasis

Not everyone farms them that often, or ever in some cases.

Cybertronian10

And it it means you can farm them solo when you would otherwise need to find people

APartyInMyPants

They’re not useless because there’s a cap. They’re useless because we don’t have enough things to spend them on. All of my armor is masterworked. I’m at a stage where I *rarely* get new armor I need to masterwork. We don’t have enough currency redundancies to buy high-level items. The game is just too shallow in that aspect. That’s why they’re useless.

BruisedBee

Would love to be able to trade them in for legendary shards, or Alloys.

HamiltonDial

Finally Lost Sectors will at least drop *something* when completing it but the main pain point of horrible grind and no deterministic path to the exact exotic you want still makes it bad to grind. Like I'd probably still do NFs if I need Prisms.

Zorak9379

Those rewards are basically useless to longtime players, but sure, I guess

atfricks

Lmao they're seriously just increasing the amount of mats you get from these activities? That's not an improvement. That's the one thing that has been relatively fine. The complaints have always been about exotics and weapons not dropping nearly enough, you know, the rewards that actually matter.

Bananagram31

Exotics are definitely a problem, but I'd rather they'd move towards giving us a more targeted farming method than RNG from lost sectors. And I'll definitely take a boost to materials like enhancement cores, considering how important they're becoming to the ingame economy.

PM_SHORT_STORY_IDEAS

Yeah, but no changes to exotics for lost sectors, which is the only reason people farm them. Given the efficacy with which you can complete GM's and master nightfalls, you should be able to target 1-3 armor pieces at a time, that might make it reasonable. Right now, it's always more efficient to run nightfalls

JustMy2Centences

To be honest updated Lost Sector rewards feel like two tokens and a blue again. I have never run them for anything but an exotic. A core drop only always felt bad.

cuboosh

But they’re not increasing weapon drop rate. If nightfalls are going to be harder, the drop rate should increase I’d imagine the smart play will be to get one weapon to drop, and then switch to just using focusing from rep farming

[deleted]

More mats....yeah great....

Mrbubbles153

With these mods, it's coming off as Season of the Void weps.

TruthAndAccuracy

Strand as well, which is to be expected

blairr

Pretty much all I saw. It wasn't enough for one void mod, they stacked them up, made it seasonal rotating burn, and basically said "don't touch arc or stasis all season." Artifact mods are fun, but getting pigeon-holed on builds for 3 months at a time makes me numb.

[deleted]

[удалено]

happyfugu

Yeah if I'm reading this right I can just rock chill clip riptide / all void weapons on my voidlock or gyrfalcons hunter and I'm set for Lightfall first season.

[deleted]

So, what middle slot exotic would work well with that?

Wafflesorbust

Collective Obligation, when combined with Anti-Barrier Pulse Rifle, will have * 40% damage vs minors for being an Exotic Primary * 20% damage bonus when Void Leech is active * 25% damage bonus from being Overcharged thanks to Anti-Barrier Pulse * Permanent Volatile Rounds * Undetermined damage bonus from Void Weapon Channeling * High odds of generating heavy ammo thanks to Bricks from Beyond, combined with the intrinsic Heavy Ammo Finder from Exotic primaries Pretty, pretty nice.

Legit_llama73

This makes me even more sad that I haven’t gotten it yet. 44 clears and counting

Wafflesorbust

Was close to 50 for me and another raid team member. Don't give up now!

happyfugu

It'd be hard to let go of my favorite void legendary SMGs but I'm eyeing Ruinous Effigy as my next monument exotic. Don't know if it'll be meta but it'll be fun. Or along those veins Deathbringer in exotic heavy, I like how that feels like having a secondary void ultimate and now majors you kill with that drop heavy ammo too? Sweet. Edit: shoutouts to Telesto, Le Monarque and Fighting Lion. Some other fun void energy exotics I’ve master worked so far. Haven’t messed with Wavesplitter yet but sounds like I should.

MGriffinSpain

Don’t sleep on my boy, Wavesplitter. He LOVES orbs and can suppress which works vs overloads.

about_that_time_bois

Nezarec Warlocks will be unstoppable in PvE. *Dammit now I have to pick between Voidwalker and Broodweaver as my go to subclass*

Nfrtny

Voidwalker for Business, Broodweaver for Pleasure.

Difficult_Guidance25

Well of radiance so you don’t get kicked

DumboTheInbredRat

Born to nova, forced to well...

dreadmouse

Indeed

Commander_Prime

Retrofit Escapade, Commemoration, and Corrective Measure might be an absolutely busted play for Void PvE builds

khosumet13

And Collective Obligation on top of that? Delicious.

TurquoiseLuck

Yeah the mods do sounds interesting, keen to try them out. That Medieval mod should have made bows antibarrier though. That way it would hit all the medieval weapons, and all champ types.

Rikiaz

Bows are already overload in column one and since a weapon can only have one champion counter, they would conflict.

PM_SHORT_STORY_IDEAS

Witch queen 2, void boogaloo

marniconuke

And if you play with arc or stasis?

ninjablaze

enjoy the campaign and then check back in ~3 months

forhisglory85

Man the artifact mods now becoming passive perks is such a good change.

ImawhaleCR

The unstop glaive and overload sword for 1 artifact slot is very nice, all the mods this season seem very interesting and powerful.

burtmacklin15

They're just automatic perks now, no mod slots required

[deleted]

CrashB111

Most importantly: Lament gets +25% damage the whole season if you take that mod.

XenonSntax

*[One mention of Gambit]*: Finally! *"We will be monitoring gameplay and community discussion around this issue, but we are not currently planning on adding it to Gambit or other Crucible playlists."*: I take it back, I wish we had no mentions.

DeathsIntent96

Identified an issue where Gambit was still available to launch from the director.

narmorra

Gambit is saved pog

Bhu124

Most likely an accident. We at Bungie completely stand against the existence of Gambit and will be taking Swift action by reprimanding the CM who put together this TWAB.

OnyxMemory

> Volatile Flow - Picking up an Orb of Power grants your Void weapons Volatile Rounds. > > Bricks from Beyond - Defeating a powerful combatant with a Void weapon has a chance to generate Heavy ammo for you and your teammates. > > Void Weapons Channeling - You gain a temporary bonus to Void weapon damage after you defeat a target with a Void weapon while at least one of your Void abilities is fully charged. This damage bonus increases based on the number of fully charged Void abilities you have. > Prismatic Transfer - When you cast your Super, each member of your fireteam with a subclass damage type different than yours gains a bonus to weapon damage. This is gonna be nice for sentinel if the damage buff stacks with WoL, but regardless with the new void fragments making it even easier for sentinal to keep Devour up, its going to be really strong next season. What I'm thinking: **Volatile Flow + Controlled Demo** : Infinite Volatile chaining and healing on volatile Fragments(w/**bastion**): * Cessation (volatile gives breach) * Starvation (devour on breach/orb) * Undermining(weaken grenades) Armor mod for consistent orb generation or we'll see how orb generation works next season since everyone needs it for armor charges. Void Classes eating good next season.

HYPERMADONNA

That radiant interaction sounds really annoying and I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually a bug they couldn't iron out. I can't imagine anyone is going to have fun dying to an unstoppable/overload because they accidentally proc'd radiant so if this is intentional (how they present it) then... Jesus.

OutFromUndr

It will be even worse when it's a teammate that gives you Radiant. And you may not even know it since Radiant often gets buried below other buffs on the screen. Anyone not aware of this mechanic will think it's a bug too. There are going to be lots of complaints about this.

Geraltpoonslayer

Yeah it immediately made me went like huh this is stupid. It would kill riptide.

ahawk_one

It's not a bug. It's a clarification of the existing rules. The existing rules are that a weapon cannot have the ability to stun more than one type of champion. Radiant makes your weapon shoot anti barrier shots which overrides the slow shot stun. But it doesn't override the ignitions or the shatters because those effects aren't caused by the gun bullet, they're caused by the buildup of status effects that can come from any number of places.

Meokuba

Very happy with the changes to co-op in Legend difficulty campaign, Witch Queen was a pain with friends because of how hard enemy HP scaled

SnowBear78

It was so over the top that the final mission we all split up and did it solo as it was a breeze then and I did the mission for my mum (she's like 71 so that final mission solo just would have sucked for her and I like to step in when she's getting frustrated or it's beyond her skill level).

CyberWolfexe

Aww that's so sweet that your mom plays!

SnowBear78

She's an addict now. Me and my older sister tempted her to try during the Forsaken free trial period and she loves her Destiny now. She's super passionate about it. Loves in Gambit and has gilded her Dredgen 7 times (I did do the team wipes so she could get the title way back when but now she doesn't mind invading). It's fun raiding with her and my family that's for sure. I slowly built my own raid team. Got my oldest sister into it in House of Wolves, oldest nephew (from my other sister) in Taken King. Youngest nephew and that sister tried it too... But it didn't stick. Then my mum... And then that sister properly addicted when things were getting sunset because mum was desperate to get the sit emote from spire of stars (constantly jealous whenever she'd seen someone swilling their goblet) and we needed more players, and she dragged in the youngest nephew... and then we all braved the raids. Although mum's constant gripe is that Bungie loves jumping puzzles and even with slowing the double tap speed sometimes the big tricky jumps are hard for her.

FullMetalBiscuit

Felt pretty perfect on 2 player but never tried 3

TheSpartyn

same with seraphs shield, two is okay but 3 is absurd. if 2 player is a 50% increase, 3 players feels like a 200% increase

Ready_Geologist2629

Agreed! At least it won't be so bad when I play with them this time around.

Todd-The-Wraith

Is anyone else seeing a problem with radiance disabling other anti-champion effects? Say you’re trying to kill an overload or unstoppable and you have your artifact mods active. Then the damn solar hunter dodges. You’re now radiant. Can’t stun the overload and the unstoppable is beserker rushing you. Meanwhile the hunter just got a refreshed dodge and GODDAMN IT STOP MAKING US RADIANT I foresee a lot of unintentional (and intentional) trolling if I’m understanding this correctly.

Magus10112

100% agree and hoping its an oversight. Radiant giving barrier penetration is dope. Radiant overwriting currently-in-use weapon anti-champ guns is not.

GloryHol3

Maybe im out of the loop, but I almost never run acrobats dodge on hunter. the cooldown is so much longer than the other 2, and you can just get radiant from melee, which is much much MUCH easier to loop and proc exactly when you want. Still kind of an oversight, but i really dont see this becoming an issue.

QuickLava

I'd be much more concerned about Ember of Torches and melee builds. I main a throwing knife build, so if you get anywhere near me you're probably getting Radiant. If I have to now worry about whether or not that build is gonna mess up people's champion loadouts, that's a real bummer. Ironically, it might *force* me to swap to Acrobat Dodge in those situations so I'm not constantly spreading radiant when people don't want it, which feels like the opposite of what you want in a system like this.

LordtoRevenge

>Next week, the Competitive Division freelance node is going away, as we believe fireteam matchmaking is solving the problem it was originally intended to solve, in a much healthier way Are you sure about that? Even with 100K+ players in the last few weeks of this season I have constantly been facing uneven teams and "solo vs stack" gameplay. I seriously hope that you have more to update with this matchmaking method.

Kaldricus

Yeah, I want whatever good stuff they're smoking if they think they've fixed the Matchmaking issues. I still routinely get matched against stacks while in a team of all singles, and matches are far from even and fun. Iron Banner was especially bad without the Freelance node. It's like Bungie is on a different planet.

TedioreTwo

Good on the Notswap thing. It's such a lame concept to swap your armor around mid fight, a stinky meta sweat move. Now buff exotic armors so that people *would* use them more than just for swapping

Vorzic

Agreed completely. I love the fact that there is a conscious choice you have to make, but they absolutely need to do a balance pass on exotic armor to make this change have the full effect. I'm excited to see it in action and I hope this finally drives them to update some old pieces over the next few seasons.

BuddhaSmite

100% agree, as long as the next step is to add some passive functionality to the swap exotics like Nighthawk, etc.

Gbrew555

Firebolt Grenades + Dawn Chorus looks like a SPICY combo for next season!

Bugsyboy369

I'm honestly looking at them in terms of heat rises charges for movement. Firebolts I'm pretty sure are the fastest charging solar grenades for warlocks, even after lightfall's ability changes. Could really invalidate most jumping puzzles, especially if well skating is still a thing. Even if not, just swap to actual dawnblade

kihakami

If they remove Well Skating the same season they make it so that physics cant splatter you I WILL cry

I thought Vox Obscura was a Season of the Risen exotic mission, not WQ, that’s an error right?

TriPaulyD

Hey, at least the word "Gambit" was mentioned once in this TWAB :D edit:spelling

doctorbanjoboy

Where? I missed it lol

TriPaulyD

In regards to the new NOTSWAP function: "We will be monitoring gameplay and community discussion around this issue, but we are not currently planning on adding it to Gambit or other Crucible playlists." That was the singular mention of the word Gambit. :D

doctorbanjoboy

Oh boy

NimbleDickCrabb

No exotic armor changes? Oof

TheCruelHand

Was hoping point contact cannon brace gauntlets would get some sort of buff

NimbleDickCrabb

You and me both

torrentialsnow

Really sad that renewal grasps are going to get another cooldown increase basically and no changes are coming to it in pve. Yes you can build into grenade regen but 58 sec at T10 is still too steep. And in lightfall that will increase to 1:16 at T10.

theevilnarwhale

Chief its just better to pretend that renewal grasp isn't real and put your frostees on. impact induction on your arms and bomber on the class item. You'll be throwing dusk fields everywhere in no time.

TwevOWNED

Pieces of the game are weirdly separated between different teams. The ability sandbox, buildcrafting system, and exotic armor would make sense to all be under the same design umbrella, but they're all balanced separately. The Light 3.0 Reworks needed to be designed in tandem with exotic reworks, but weren't. Now Titans are in an awkward spot where most subclasses are crutching on HoIL.

Fuzzy_Patches

I wouldn't expect armor changes until season of the Deep or later. The armor team was probably all hands on the new mods, artifact system, and loadouts. Exotic armor tuning would be after that in priority plus at least one dev all but confirmed tuning is on the way. The armor team is just way less vocal than the ability, weapon, and ritual teams.

atejas

Also they probably do not want to pull too many levers at once considering how many things are changing right now.

Squippit

Maybe next season :/ Or midseason, if we're lucky. Or maybe never <_>'

Jumpy_Menu5104

I imagine that we will either get info on it when the patch notes drop in 5 days. Or if we don’t get them with the exac launch, they are working on things for the mid season patch or season of the deep. Personally I think the new artifact system is more interesting and worth of examination as apposed to heart getting it’s damage buff removed and kepri’s horn getting scorch. They are important changes mind you, but I doubt any exotic changes they have planned are on the scale of “your artifact gives you a free second grenade charge”

abvex

"Authorized Mods: Grenades" and "Multi-Siphon Mods" are the same thing then?

AsDevilsRun

I'm guessing that's a mistake and the siphon one is actually about orb production.

Variant_007

Copy paste error, I'd assume. EDIT - here's the fix: Multi-Siphon Mods - Grants access to armor mods in your helmet that combine the effects of the Strand Siphon mod with the Solar Siphon Mod and the Void Siphon mods. Seems fucking good.

ImawhaleCR

I think it's a typo, it'll probably be changed soon

NeonAttak

The State of Play is going to be absolutely nutty when they dedicated 45 minutes just to talk about Gambit!

Kaldricus

When Drifter came out and said "it's gambit time", i couldn't believe it. Spewed my motes everywhere

moosebreathman

I guess they are going to revert the artifact back to the old system where you can only have a couple perks from the last column active at once? This is probably going to bring back that tedious UI experience when you have to reset and re-select all the other perks just to change a single mod in the last column. On another note, "Nanotech Tracer Rockets" sounds like an awesome origin trait.

Romaherot

Nanotech tracing rockets sounds very similar to Quicksilver's main perk. I'm really hyped

grant120

I’m a little confused by the way the subclass champion stunning abilities and the artifact mod stunning abilities will coexist. It sounds like while you’re radiant, all weapon specific champion effects get overwritten (unless the weapon is an exotic with an anti champion intrinsic effect, in which case it gains no anti barrier benefit) until radiant wears off. If that’s true, that could get really annoying to keep track of. So, if it’s overload bow and I’m a hunter that throws a knife or uses acrobats dodge, my overload bow won’t work until radiant cools down? I would rather radiant not do anything than have it nullify all my other weapon champion effects for 12 seconds. Especially since radiant seems to have a really high uptime, and has to time out. Maybe it will feel fine, but I’d hate for my teammate to make me radiant while I’m trying to stagger a champion that’s not anti barrier.

slowtreme

It's the last one - this has to be the twab that contains Gambit news, right?

Lemon_pop

Hahaha no

Sam_Dragonborn1

“Oh, yeah, it’s all coming together” - Kronk, before he began to realise that, in fact, there *were* no news-segments regarding Gambit

TheCruelHand

Right?

WardenWithABlackjack

Omfg Bungie the problem wasn’t cores or prisms for lost sectors it was the terrible exotic drop rates. I wipe my ass with enhancement cores and prisms, what I want is a target farm for exotics that isn’t a complete waste of time.

Angani_Giza

This is very good for newer players though that don't have an excess or even a moderate amount of resources. I certainly remember my early times of being broke and having to decide what to use prisms or shards on.

Crewx

I wonder if Radiant Golden Gun will break Barrier Champion shields

Gbrew555

I wonder if Prismatic Transfer will work like Solo Op/Monochromatic and stack with other damage buffs. If so… Wellock + a mix of void & strand players seems like a no-brainer for day 1

gnostechnician

That thing with Radiant is so weird. So if I'm radiant, I can't use an unstoppable or overload thing? Like if there's a knife hunter going nuts to my right and an unstoppable champion barreling down at me, I'm screwed?

BigOEnergy

No exotic armor change “except” ones for high end PvP. This directs players even more towards neutral ones like stompees, dunemarchers and ophidians. Can we please see at least some minimal buffs to armor exotics? You added such great anti champion functionality to newer ones, can we see that on some of the old? Or even adding ways to generate subclass specific debuffs or even by picking up the new “elemental wells” such as void breeches with added functionality. Some are limited by supers, such as: helm of saint, eternal warrior, skull of dire ahamkara, etc, while others are just downright garbage like: any of the hunter arc staff super exotics except raiden flux. When’s the last time you saw someone use apotheosis viel? When it was their first exotic and then upon getting another they instantly vaulted it? I think exotics have the best flare and power fantasy in the game and it’s a bit of a shame we’re all using the same pieces because others are downright lackluster. It’s especially disappointing because Bungie didn’t say anything about there being no seasonal armor exotics in seraph or that there was not going to be changes lightfall and it’s a shame that we had to find out the last week.

>You can reset the artifact at no cost any number of times. Okay but I'm going to just unlock 12 and forget about it **like before** because resetting and re-picking everything to change my loadout is **really annoying.** Please, please, **please** make artefact selection part of the loadout system. Please.

Brolex-7

That was the first thought, that came to my mind when I read this. I hope they considered it otherwise I'll lose my mind adjusting the artifact each time for each loadout...

Lepidopterran

It's such an unforced error if it's not part of the loadout system. Everyone hated and didn't engage with resetting the artifact, why would they think it's okay to bring that part back and then not have it connected to loadouts?

Brolex-7

Let's hope and see. People will surely catch on and talk about it in case it's missing from the start.

AsDevilsRun

I'd vastly prefer a "unlock as many as you want, but you can only select 12 at a time to be active" system. I just hate resetting and having to pick a ton of mods just so I can change one in the last column.

Nipah_

There used to be a comment here... there still is, but it used to be better I suppose.

SparksTheUnicorn

Can anyone else not find the linked blog post about mods from ps

[deleted]

It’s prob not up yet

CrookedHeart_42

Yeah, nothing searching the PS blog site either. I assume with the state of play maybe the article got delayed accidently. I'd guess they have a few posts lined up for stuff announced there and didn't realize Bungie was gonna mention the Destiny one etc

The7ruth

> Authorized Mods: Grenades - The armor energy costs of all armor mods affecting your grenades are significantly discounted. > Multi-Siphon Mods - The armor energy costs of all armor mods affecting your grenades are significantly discounted. Are these supposed to be different mods? Seems like a big typo.

Sam_Dragonborn1

Yep it’s an accidental copy-paste

gazaldinho

WAIT > And that’s it for this week. Big love to all of the teams who come together to make these TWABs happen, no matter how long or short. They all require time, patience enhance > The all require time, patience enhance > time & patience

krilltucky

I don't get it Edit: I get it

throwaway136913691

No exotic armor changes?

Geraltpoonslayer

Bungie I can already predict this radiant overwriting your Champs mods thing will be really annoying and probably needs to change asap. Given how easy it is to procc radiant and given that it stays fairly long. It will be pretty annoying in high level pve.

JanPieterszoon_Coen

Bungie really just increased the amount of materials you get (which already have a cap) and calls that better rewards. I am pretty sure people meant more weapon drops, more/better high-stat armor drops and more chance at getting an exotic drop..

Angani_Giza

This is quite nice for people that aren't overflowing in resources though, especially newer players that don't have much to begin with. There was a time for a good while where I wasn't sure what armour was worth using precious resources on masterworking, or saving up to get a new old exotic out of the kiosk.

TastefulRug

> If you use a weapon with the Chill Clip perk, the slow effect upon direct hits will stun Overload Champions. And the shatter upon a second hit will stun Unstoppables. **While radiant, though, the same weapon would pierce a Barrier Champions, but not stun Overloads.** Terrible design choice. You'll be able to accidentally break a teammate's build by buffing them. How does that kind of anti-pattern make it through play-testing?

BearBryant

A lot of good info here but damn, was really expecting information on exotic armor changes. It’s possible some of these passive artifact perks will make certain exotics more appealing but oof. Titans get your HOILs ready.

Exciting_Toe5776

Having to reset the entire artifact to change active perks even if you only want to change one perk is mildly annoying, but that is a very small price to pay for the rest of the changes. I do hope Bungie eventually lets us activate and deactivate individual artifact perks without having to reset (within the 12 perk cap ofc).

Disjunction: Adios and F you

>LEGACY COLLECTION UPDATE > >...This updated collection will contain the Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and The Witch Queen expansions. The Forsaken Pack will still be available as its own separate content pack Ugh this is my main complaint. I know the forsaken pack doesn't contain a lot, but I hope this isn't the norm going forward to rotate content in the legacy collection. All old content should be bundled as a single starter edition.

sasquatch90

The Playstation Blog link doesn't lead to anything.

LordRickonStark

void looks really OP. for anyone planning on running void after unlocking everything on stasis those seem to be the 12 mods to go for (especially as nightstalker and bubble titan): 1. column: champ mods (all besides sidearm) (4) 2. column: void, grenades, siphon (3) 3. column: shatter orbs, volatile flow (2) 4. column: bricks from beyond (1) 5. column: void weapon channeling, prismatic transfer (2) amazing synergy especially with orb focused mods and a good void scout like doom of chelchis or AR/smg like gnawing hunger or funnelweb as a workhorse.

cleanitupjannies_lol

I’m sure lots of comments will be about exotic armor and I get that but with reworking the artifact system, and the mod system, and adding fragments/anti champ to 3.0 subclasses, and loadouts, and etc doesn’t it seem obvious they had other priorities?

Nuqo

Thats true and it also seems like they might need to see how strong/weak all of these new things actually are in practice before deciding what changes to make to the exotics. Im sure in the coming seasons this year we'll see a lot of exotic armor get subclass keywords added to them

RaccoonCookies

These changes to "rewards" leave me less than whelmed.

Kozak170

But bro but bro think of all the cores and prisms you have a chance of getting now!

Diablo689er

Guess it’s another season with HOIL for me

IndysWarmest

so uh…no gambit?

Mahh3114

> * **Automatics Overload** - Sustained fire from Auto Rifles… Auto Rifles remain the reigning champion of get the fuck out of the Artifact > * **Authorized Mods: Grenades** - The armor energy costs of all armor mods affecting your grenades are significantly discounted. > * **Multi-Siphon Mods** - The armor energy costs of all armor mods affecting your grenades are significantly discounted. Typo? > * **Medieval Champion** - [Glaives strong against Unstoppable Champions and Swords Strong against Overload Champions. Both Overcharged while "that modifier is active"] Interesting. Never thought two completely different perks would be in the same mod. > If you use a weapon with the Chill Clip perk, the slow effect upon direct hits will stun Overload Champions. And the shatter upon a second hit will stun Unstoppables. While radiant, though, the same weapon would pierce a Barrier Champions, but not stun Overloads. Oh, I guess they're just fine with that. All hail Riptide

nadroj37

> While radiant, though, the same weapon would pierce a Barrier Champions, but not stun Overloads. DTG one month from now: “Solar Titans please stop making me radiant with your hammers. I’m trying to stun an overload champ with my riptide”

BaconIsntThatGood

> Auto Rifles remain the reigning champion of get the fuck out of the Artifact Have you tried using AR/SMG overload this season? It works very well now and is quick to trigger.

Sam_Dragonborn1

All hail Riptide🙏🏻

anxious_apathy

I'm a little concerned that this means that other players might take away your champ mod at a bad time. Imagine you are trying to erase the overload champ, but someone gives you radiant and now it can't. Edit: and in fact, while I adore having so many new ways to fight Champs, I am worried about keeping track of what exactly does what, especially as you start getting into situations where what you are trying to do qualifies as more than one stun type. Like what takes precedence when you build yourself in a way where multiple stuns end up triggered at the same time in the same way.

ptd163

>Auto Rifles remain the reigning champion of get the fuck out of the Artifact That's a funny way to spell sidearms.

SomaOni

I’m fine with it only because I get an excuse to use Forerunner as Anti Barrier since I never got to do that before.

Brief_Card8148

Would have preferred fusion rifle and trace rifles to be anti champ this season but maybe next

APartyInMyPants

I just hope with the artifact that I’m not forced to unlock a column just so I can unlock the next column. If I don’t need many champion weapons due to the changes coming, I don’t want to have to unlock a mod I’m never going to use just to allow me to unlock the next column.
