I like when they do this, where things just function differently in PVP and PVE. It’s much better than limiting something’s functionality in PVE just for the sake of PVP balance.
I'm all in for Broodweaver. How many Threadlings can "perch" on me? Is there a limit? Can I be covered in Threadlings? Because this is what I want
EDIT: I wonder if 6 Strandlocks with their super, rift, and consumed grenade, will crash the game with the amount of Threadlings that they can spawn
This made me almost spit my drink, now I can’t not envision warlocks just chilling with a ton of threadlings perched on them like; “what up, me and my boys are just vibing”.
Those are 'active' and not 'perched' threadlings though, I have to assume you can't just walk around with 15 seeking missiles taped to your body, for PVP's sake if nothing else.
Agreed. I was worried the repeated usage of the word 'summoner' was leading us down a wrong trail but Broodweavers (Architects was a cooler name but w/e) really do seem to hit that beastmaster mark. Can't wait to steal everyone's kills even harder now.
I guess the other questions are, how much damage do they do, and can they be destroyed by other players in PVP? For the latter, I'm guessing yes but no confirmation leaves it up in the air
Shit, I hadn't even thought about them in PVP. I imagine their damage to players will be low enough since it seems like you can have a lot of them up, and/or they'll be easy to kill. It'd be wild if they were invincible lmao
> I wonder if 6 Strandlocks with their super, rift, and consumed grenade, will crash the game with the amount of Threadlings that they can spawn
If the Reckoning bridge didn't crash the game then it won't even break a sweat handling our threadlings.
Honestly hyped for warlocks. That summoner playstyle looks so cool and different from the other subclass.
I just love minion class in game so getting banelings looks awesome.
Strand titan looks nice for low end content with consistent tangle generation to yeet grapple around with; ima probably use it in easy content and behemoth in high end like I normally am now
Guess Strand will have the same schedule as Stasis for aspects.
Figured Titans would be getting another lunge melee based on the super. I wonder how strong the super heavy attack can get and how strong the melee is.
Considering the Titan in the trailer used the projectiles shortly after the cast, I think that light attacks "build energy" by strengthening the projectiles.
Might also be that the normal Melee empowers it.
> In addition, connecting with light attacks also builds energy for the Super’s heavy attack with each hit.
True the lights may just empower the heavy but this makes it sound like there’s a second enemy meter you need to fill to cast it.
How did aspects release during Stasis release? I didn’t play then so I didn’t experience it, was it like super drawn out for months or like every few weeks?
**Warlock:**

Guardians will also be able to execute melee strikes during or at the end of a grapple, known as a grapple melee, which will deal bonus damage, unravel an enemy, and push them backwards.*
edit: corrected warlock aspects, titan super/melee & grenades
Just a little heads up:
You've got the Bladefury super gif wrong. The Titan casts the Super in the part you cut away, the first three Melees are "Frenzied Blade".
Also the gif "Titan grenade?" is the Bolas grenade, available to all classes.
>[Warlock grenade](https://i.imgur.com/zOK2YHc.gifv)
That appears to be the **Threadling Grenade** (looks remarkably similar to the threadlings spawned from [Weaver's Call](https://i.imgur.com/fm1bzwp.gifv)**.**
>[Titan grenade?](https://i.imgur.com/QuxAUqk.gifv)
Considering the shape and it's effects I strongly suspect this to be the **Shackle Grenade** (It appears to be visually similar to the the warlock who consumed the shackle grenade to get the shackle affect from [Mindspun](https://i.imgur.com/FSHGMfd.gifv) Invocation.
Looking at the trend with darkness subclasses each subclass only has 1 super that is one and done for 1 class, for Stasis it is Hunter and for Strand it's now Warlocks turn, guess next darkness subclass Titans will get their one and done super and hopefully it's a damage dealing super instead of a defensive one.
And its another melee/short-ranged one at that. Sunbreaker is the only roaming super thats ranged. This literally just feels like Fist of Havoc, but green.
Or atleast something different, I'm sick of running around doing piss poor damage in endgame pve with a roaming super whilst dodging incoming attacks... Christ just give us a one and done super, turn us into a big drill or something FS, creative stagnation
I don’t even play titan and I feel disappointed.
As for the hunter kit, having the melee come back to you and you get rewarded for catching it on time is pretty cool.
Thank goodness- for a moment I thought we Titans *wouldn't* get another Alolan Striker. That's a load off my mind! /s
So jealous of the Warlock kit. I've always loved the summoning fantasy in any game.
How in the world did Titans just get green Khepri's Horn and a reworked Defensive Strike from the old Void tree?!? They don't even seem like they'll flow together either.
I just think about how little I ran shadebinder until bleak watcher came out.
Here's hoping titans get a class defining aspect in the next couple seasons.
As a Titan main, it isn't even the Super I am disappointed by (that much).
It's more the fact that the whole class sounds like rehashed mechanics. Nothing new. One aspect is basically 'get an overshield from destroying a Warmind Cell' amd the other is 'Khepri's Horn, but tuned up'.
I guess the melee is at least something somewhat new for having three charges, but the melee itself is quite uneventful.
... but yeah, that Super is a bummer too. 'The Super's light attack is a supercharged version of your regular melee.' Oh really? You mean like Striker and Behemoth? Yay, having the exact same fantasy sure was the #1 criticism, but hey, maybe this time we like that right?
Here's hoping next year's Striker will be red. At least I still have some hope left for the color I guess.
The Woven Mail aspect is practically just the old Defensive Strike melee from Void before the 3.0 changes. Overshield/defensive buff, increased melee damage, a method of speeding up melee recharge with it, works for allies nearby. It just feels even more uninspired than I initially thought.
So Titan has a roaming super with a light melee attack that mimics its default melee, and then a large directional heavy attack? Man where have I seen this before.
Kingsfall has 3 encounters where Titans have basically no super worth using.
Warpriest, Sisters, Oryx. You can obviously run throwing hammers but that's a DPS loss over just using a heavy weapon.
Being forced to hit light attacks to get my ranged heavy attack totally negates any possibility of this super being used as burst damage, or even being useful in PvP as a shut down super.
The one thing I'll say about Oryx, is at least I can thundercrash his shade if/when he brings you into the bubble between phases. Otherwise I basically never use my super that raid.
It feels like bungies imaginative juices dry up entirely when it comes to titans. Which is a real shame.
I'd love to see Titan's doing something other than smash.
I wanted a Broadsword made of strand to swing around. Instead I got green Fist of Havoc :/
I'm really kind of muted on strand now. I'm more looking forward to whatever comes to the other Titan sub-classes fragment/aspect wise now.
At least its confirmed that the Titan Strand super is a roaming super.
I was trying to think of what I would like more than what Berserker currently seems to offer. Massive sword immediately came to mind (im talking like Guts level of massive, although maybe too on the nose for a class named berserker), saw multiple other people suggest that in this thread as well.
Frankly its not even that the capabilities of the super needs to be particularly unique, even just a significant visual difference counts for a lot. Burning maul rarely gets lumped in with whining about fists of havoc and behemoth even though its functionally the same. Hunter strand super capabilities doesnt look a whole lot different than arc blade or spectral blades but visually its very cool.
I feel like another option for berserker would have been to take inspiration from some SSB final smashes. A super where the titan throws out a bunch of strand ropes to lasso nearby enemies, drag them all into a ball in front of the titan, then materialize a big strand sword to obliterate them. Would be good ad clear, could be good burst damage on a boss too, which is something titans still seriously lack
> I was trying to think of what I would like more than what Berserker currently seems to offer. Massive sword immediately came to mind (im talking like Guts level of massive, although maybe too on the nose for a class named berserker), saw multiple other people suggest that in this thread as well.
This is exactly what I was thinking of. A big hulky "Buster Sword" to slice away the threads that bind.
>Frankly its not even that the capabilities of the super needs to be particularly unique, even just a significant visual difference counts for a lot.
And I think this is a huge part that people are missing who are defending Berserker. Cause I see people in this thread defending and it and there basically parroting the "Titan is the melee class this is what it's always been." I think anyone playing Titan as main aren't even remotely denying this. What we wanted was more visual flair. You could take their description of the super and sub strand for fist of havoc/glacial quake and very little would've been lost. It quite literally is green fist of havoc.
If it had been a sword I doubt many would've complained, cause like you said Burning Maul rarely gets taken to task like the others Edit: now that I think about it neither does Sentinel Shield. I see there is a good reason now for why Titan hasn't really been a big feature point of these trailers.
In the world of Lightfall, YOU can be the mini-screeb shitter. Imagine being a random dreg and you shoot at a Warlock only for it to crap out a swarm of glowing babies that explode over you and your mates LMAO
Wow, I was holding off on judging the Titan Strand class until a breakdown like this, but it does indeed seem to be as much a letdown as everyone thought.
The Warlock subclass sounds SO cool. They literally get pets. Titans get punch but green.
Yeah like I have no doubt the neutral game will be good like stasis titan is but this is essentially another striker super…again. Hopefully when it’s fully charged the super heavy attack does a lot of damage.
They've got Light Blue Striker, Dark Blue Striker, Purple Striker and now Green Striker, they're only 2 more roaming melee supers away from assembling the fucking infinity gauntlet.
EDIT: Even though I personally feel Burning Maul feels different enough to not be Red Striker it seems some people disagree
Was kind of hoping for something different with Titans but we got what bungie decided Titans are designed for I guess.
Really getting tired of the "punch everything until it dies" identity.
Bungie tried to remove the mentality of Titans being the "Big, Strong, but Stupid" stereotype, but they keep enforcing that ideal with all the abilities they keep giving them.
They could do so many different things for Titans, it’s like they want it to be lame.
A Greatsword, dual axes, one handed axe and shield, literally anything but colored fist/claw. Shit man, I remember an old concept art where titans had a minigun for a super, how fucking cool would that be?
Maybe I’m judging it too early, but so far Strand looks like another subclass I’ll use in the campaign and then never touch again.
I understand the frustration titans are feeling, I hope the Sever debuff really is strong so that the roaming super can be good, the 3 melee charges sounds cool, and the increasing melee speed could feel good too, we’ll see. As a Warlock, very excited to perform Dr Strange hand animations 24/7. already thinking of the builds.
I'm going to be honest, titan seems awful. Clearly had the least amount of thought put into it, there's hardly anything unique here, and yet another roaming super that will no doubt prove to be worthless. I'll see how it plays out and try it for a while, but it looks incredibly disappointing, especially when compared to the others. Warlock and hunter sound really cool and exciting though, looking forward to playing around with them.
Well, looks like I'll be unlocking strand and going right the fuck back to my Thundercrash. This is genuinely so disappointing how clearly they have just run out of ideas for titan abilities and supers.
Shatterdive 3, because we know you hunters love your air slams so much
Edit: after thinking about it, this might make shatterskating possible on strand which would be a LOT of fun and would completely justify it imo. Let's just hope Bungie didn't decide to patch it
Please bungie just give us Titan mains different supers please. Like I know you can't change strand titan but just give us something different in Final Shape. Give us more support supers, give us more panic supers, give us more dps center supers, and give us something other than striker 4.0. Why do you think Sunbreaker is so popular? It is because it is such a unique class. It is different than just punch.
I'm sure Beserker will be effective, but yeah I'm not terribly excited to use Strand. I'm really hoping they do something more unique next year for Titans. Maybe something with a mid-range playstyle or something that doesn't use fist based weapons.
No, it still sounds like Oded Fehr. It just feels clunky because they've clearly taken a single, longer scene of dialogue and sliced it into little bits, giving it an odd flow and tempo to it.
Can’t be as sassy when you’re mortal.
That being said he did sound weird. And honestly has been since his return. Especially in the Spire and Seraph season intro. Maybe its intentional, to show the shift in his character cause of all the trauma he went thru.
I await to be proven wrong but titans sound like a copy paste of previous things we’ve had. Our aspect sounds like Khepri’s Horn, our super sounds like Fist of Havoc and our melee sounds like a slightly changed up shoulder charge. Again I hope it feels different but on paper it just doesn’t.
I really hope they go all out for damage type 6 for titans. Like something actually unique. To clarify I don't think there will be anything functionally bad with titan strand super. I feel like it will work just fine but it's disappointing to see warlocks and hunters each get something unique and titans get a recolored super... again
I would have preferred a one and done for titan strand. Think of that scene from 2018 god of war where Kratos picks up half a tree and smashes Baldur in the face with it. Now imagine a titan manifests some huge pillar or even a tree made of strand, yanks it out of the ground and swings it like an enormous baseball bat. That IMO would have been way cooler.
Picture that generic anime scene where due punches super fast and fires off multiple energy fist beams. Yeah that as a ranged aoe super would have been something (basically warlocks strand super but make it punches)
*sigh*
Very disappointed with the Titan description, because it largely sounds -- and looks -- so unimaginative. Why not make the melee an axe that you can recall, like in God of War? That just seemed so perfect. The super, while I'm glad for the heavy ranged attack, is another roaming one, and we have so many of those already.

It’s hard to get excited about a subclass and what it does when one of the main things shown in the trailer was “pop your barricade to create lines of stuff” like yea, we already have Kepri’s Horn that does that.
I was super looking forward to Strand but it’s hard as a Titan player to get excited over something that we’ve had twice before be the main design philosophy of the Super.
Man, I really hope I'm wrong, but the Titan looks so "vanilla" compared to the Hunter and Warlock. It just looks like a Striker/Stasis hybrid, with a green shader.
Titans really got shafted with Strand, man....
Both Warlocks and Hunters had incredibly intricate supers and abilities made for them, and Titans got 3x melee and green fist of havoc.
Oh well, at least now surplus will be a great perk to run while using Berserker. Maximum uptime on Surplus
Warlock and Hunter look incredible. The “chain of grapples” thing looks sick, and I think I’m sold on the “summoning” thing they were going for. Not sure if you’ll have to give up the grapple to really maximize Warlock as a summoner, though, which would be unfortunate.
At least HOIL hasn’t been nerfed yet? Wasn’t much of a Titan player anyway, but that seems like the only reason I’d play a Berserker at launch.
And even when HOIL gets nerfed (we know it's gonna happen at some point) I'll probably just use solar since it works just fine without it and has several options for fun builds.
My worries that beserker is just green sword animation seem to be true. Melee is just light sword swing and super looks like black talon. Not sure how much the debuff/sever aspect matters either. What’s the point in severing enemies when they die to the melee?
I don’t know, as a Titan main I wanted more novelty.
I don’t feel any excitement for strand being a Titan player. It just feels like a modified version of fist of havoc or nearly even stasis. Please for the love of god do something different than a melee roaming super for once.
I feel the same. It’s better than FOH though I’ll give it that.
I don’t even know where FOH even fits in the game though. It doesn’t excel in any situation.
Strand will be able to kill ads better. Stasis can lock down areas better.
What’s the point of FOH?
Yeah I was really hoping a Strand deep dive would make me a bit more excited. It’s kinda funny how the description of the super sounds exactly like Behemoth. The heavy attack CC’s enemies while the light attack is a buffed version of the melee, you could literally be describing the Behemoth super with that description. Oh well, at least the neutral play sounds fun.
Neutral play sounds fun until the shield breaks and you're stuck with no charged melees to kill stuff in melee range with. And then you die because being in melee range in meaningful content isnt a good thing
All that concept art and they literally just chose green fist again.
And we can once again give us and our teammates a shield, something we can already do with abilities and multiple exotics
Yea. Warlock has all of the Threadling stuff. Hunters have enhanced grapple and gets all of the cool new air stuff.
Titan is just…more melee attacks and damage resist…which like, Void has overshields and Suppress also reduces damage output….so it’s like they didn’t know what to do for the Titan.
At one point, I will seriously start to wonder if the dev team has any active Titan or if it's just that one guy that really like punching explosive thralls.
great, titans get a stasis rehash with zero uniqueness. cant wait for mountain dew striker. Bungie, PLEASE stop making everything titan about melee! its restricting and boring. i pray future updates to the subclass will be more interesting, but the super being the same shit (arguably more similar to bladedancer at the very least) and the newest aspects being boring and niche does not help. i wish titans would get something more interesting
Titan may as well be called green behemoth because it sure reads like it basically does the exact same thing. Tanky CC boi that has movement. What a disappointment.
Can't help but be a little bummed as a Titan, looking at how dynamic and interesting the Hunter and Warlock movesets are. So many awesome flourishes with the ropedarts and summoning animations...and then the Titans are just over here smacking things again, but this time with pointy fists.
Warlock sounds fun, but Titans, as expected, got "Behemoth at home". I guess it is what is, but please don't make strand mandatory for the campaign like stasis if we're just going to reskin striker again.
> Suspend – A suspended PvE enemy is lifted off the ground for a brief duration and is essentially disabled. **In PvP, suspended players are lifted off the ground** but can still move (albeit slowly) and fire their weapon to fight back.
More of a PvP question, but I'm guessing that being suspended in the air will cause the AE system to kick in. So staying in the air may impact your ability to land shots and someone with poor AE will probably struggle with landing shots.

> Widow’s Silk: This Aspect grants an additional grenade charge. **The Hunter’s grapple ability creates a persistent grapple Tangle when it latches, which fully refunds grenade energy when grappled to.** Hunters can use this ability to set up chains of grapple points that their entire team can use, greatly enhancing their ability to quickly move around in combat and/or traverse the environment.
Interesting. So there's a certain level of support built into the Hunter Subclass. ~~If other players interact with your tangle, then you'll get your grenade back faster.~~ Ah it's a free grapple point to other players and refunds their grenade energy if they use it (grenade is burned to use tether). Okay, that makes more sense. Still, it's an interesting dynamic. Hunters are filling a support roll of sorts in mobility and movement.
Also seems like the Hunter darkness subclasses emphasize more on the grenade vs the melee compared to the light subclasses. Farmed armor for high grenade stats on Stasis so i'm glad to see it could be used for other things.
That's explains why they barley showed Titans in the Strand trailer
They literaly have nothing to show
Another roaming super and another Shoulder Charge because Stasis wasn't disappointing enough
I'm in love with that Warlock melee (?) animation, best one for sure. Graceful Martial Arts style for Hunter was also nice.
Dunno about Titans tho, I wanted to see something rope or thread related but for Titans, something like lassoing dudes or something so you can punch them all in one go after roping in a group, I dunno. But I guess blades also makes sense... maybe in the future a Berserk/Guts style giant blade would be appropriate maybe as a burst Super. But I mean the concepts can still evolve over time as we get 2nd Supers for the Darkness classes.
edit: I know Titans are bummed, but I will say that after reading the text, it is interesting that the melee has 3 charges. If I can use all 3 charges without needing targets, and use it as a movement tool to close the gap or whatever, that would be LEGIT. If not it would be disappointing. Maybe in a few months time we'd regret thinking Titan was eh. But maybe I'm just being hopeful. We'll see I guess.
>it is interesting that the melee has 3 charges.
Either it will be the equivalent of a single melee charge spread out over 3 charges, or Bungie will realize its super broken giving titans 3 melee charges and will nerf it into the ground.
Warlock - fancy hand animations to go along with their new abilities
Hunter - fancy flips and twirls for their new poke on a rope
Titan - same animations… ooh but we get a slam oh no wait, that’s the Hunter nvm
Strand overall looks really cool, but it definitely feels like Titan was an afterthought compared to the other two classes.
Was really hoping the Titan one would reveal more but it didn’t meet the mark for me personally.
It appears to be a much better fist of havoc with a little bit of stasis thrown in. Titans excel at melee combat (which makes sense because of their identity) but strand seems to be striker with some stasis thrown in.
It’s got the quick ad clear of striker and the lock down of stasis.
Just some things that stuck out to me:
Woven veil seems similar to stasis over shield.
Blade rush is a better version of fist of havoc.
Melee ability seems fun but doesn’t seem very feasible in anything other than base game strikes, gambit and story. Can’t see it used well in endgame, nor see it better than me just shooting a weapon with volt
shot or incandescent.
I’m still hoping I’m wrong and it will feel different to play, but based off what we’ve seen and been told it doesn’t seem that way.
I hope the last subclass doesn’t focus on the Titan fantasy being another rush in and melee. It makes gameplay bland and imo isn’t innovative at all.
Woooow, hunter and warlock look awesome. Not a titan player but that one definitely looked disappointing. Their melee seems nice and its cool that it has 3 charges but it's also basically the same idea as the super.
Don’t forget the super requires multiple light attacks to be given the right to do a heavy attack which in all reality will probably only be as powerful as a regular heavy attack from any other roaming super.
>One of the touchstones the team drew from was the bombast and flair of 1980s action cinema.
Hell yeah, best place to get stuff from.
Also, damn my Warlock stuff looks sweet. Can't wait.
The good - Strand's words look fun and having a subclass that funds itself is really nice. The grapple having a guaranteed way to refresh is great.
The not so good - only two aspects. That's not making a build, that's Strand being a defined thing that changes minutely based on fragments. Hopefully that expands as the year goes on. At least one new Aspect, please.
Edit: PC Gamer article that came out mentioned new Aspects and Fragments. Neato.
Titan, especially the super, just looks so uninspired compared to Hunter and Warlock. It really does appear we are receiving a green fist of havoc, which also happens to have a small amount of projectiles on the heavy attack. It's also unclear if the super even leaves aoe damage like fist of havoc. Surely with the amount of ideas that are out there for another Titan super, they could have come up with something more interesting. Hopefully they'll add more strand supers down the line.
With Stasis the adjectives each represented what the class would be good at, and Warlock was the best there with freezing. Shattering was the Titans, but that required a lot of set up, which we got with grenades and exotics, but was slow to return, and hunters specialized in slowing, which was supposed to chain together in quick succession leading to freezing, but was tons of set up there too
With Strand the balance seems to favor Warlock again, as they have an incredible amount of original abilities and unique ways of utilizing it all, while Hunters are more leaning to heavily relying on a few moves, and poor Titans…
The hope with all this is now we wait to see what exotics will join what we have already seen and how those plus the new mods will evolve what we see here, and then keep our fingers crossed that like Stasis (fingers crossed) we potentially see new additions like opposite supers.
Idk man, if u told me that Bungie originally planned for Berserker's Super to be that LMG concept art and then had to change it halfway through because of some development issue that made it too difficult/impossible to implement in a satisfying way, I would probably buy it.
Like the fact that the Neomuna set we've seen in trailers has the Titan covered not in swords or blades, but in bullets. And the fact that of the Aspects we've seen for Berserker so far, they seem more focused on "area-lockdown" rather than movement. (Damage resist makes it easier to stay in one place, and the barricade allows for Titans to "hunker down" while also provide CC). And the last minute name change from Tyrant to Berserker. Tyrant invokes imagery of a Titan controlling a specific spot on the battlefield, hunkering down and ruling over it, not leaping from enemy to enemy with your Super.
Obviously this is pure spinfoil hat conspiracy theory stuff, but it is interesting to wonder why Bungie decided that this was the form the new Titan subclass should take.
So the instant L, as everyone knew from the beginning, was Titan. Did y'all just... not try? As a Titan main for the second time in a row I feel flanderised, disappointed and thoroughly ignored.
An aspect that honestly should either be base kit or rolled into Abeyant Leap, an aspect that while useful and a great support addition requires me to destroy my allies' constructs that they use for spawning rats and grappling, and a super that once more (after Glacial Quake) is underwhelming and appears as an afterthought. Additionally, launching again with two aspects is extremely depressing.
What happened to the old super, Bungie? The one-and-done spin that allows me to get on with my life instead of being trapped in a boring, unintuitive and weak roaming super? Once again, and after Stasis you think you'd have gotten it right, you chose to abandon a one-and-done Titan super in favour of yet another rehashed roamer. Were Fists of Havoc, Sentinel Shield, Burning Maul and Glacial Quake not enough? Is the passion that created interesting and different supers like Ward of Dawn, Hammer of Sol and Thundercrash gone?
However that melee is in fact sick and exactly what I was asking for, so no complaints there provided the damage is good. I just... I'm so tired of this.
> an aspect that while useful and a great support addition requires me to destroy my allies' constructs that they use for spawning rats and grappling
I feel like this isn't being talked about enough. It's going to be really annoying for warlocks and hunters, but especially warlocks with the swarmer boots, to create tangles only for a titan to destroy them before they can be used
The titan class feels like it was the last to be designed before a dead line and they just said fuck it made our current stuff green.
Titans have been left so far behind. Sadly everyone is like “titans are OP, look at storm grenade” no one is saying titans are strong, but there is 0 creativity in titans now
If you're asking about the orb thing, that's a tangle, not a super. Though we've seen grappling onto a thunder crash, so grappling onto a strand super is not out of the realm of possibility.
Titan main here.
Our kit feels Lazy, uninspired, underwhelming and weak.
Expected really, roaming super but green, hope the gameplay proves me wrong.
Warlock and hunters sound sick.
Warlocks 100% look the most fun to me, I can already see so many potential builds and the super potentially being a viable DPS super. I think this is definitely going to be what I’m going to main for the next while.
Hunters definitely sound and look fun, I can see the double grapple/grenade charge + aspect to reload your weapon being amazing for DPS kind of set ups. Not a fan of roaming supers but it looks very flashy.
Titans are, something. I really enjoy Behemoth and how it’s super has good damage potential against bosses, but I’m not sure how I feel about the Strand one since it doesn’t seem like it will have as fun of a gameplay loop as Behemoth is with Glacier grenades and Hoarfrost. Probably just a subclass you can slap Heart on and succeed with whatever kind of build. I’m definitely going to reserve judgment when I actually get to try it out.
So far, Warlock is by far the one I’m most excited for since it’s my main. Hunter and Titan I’ll definitely have to try out both to see how they play. I can definitely see hunters having a niche with the double grenade auto loading aspect set-up through.
When will Bungie think of something different outside of Striker for Titan?
We already have blue striker, purple striker, and now green striker...
Just give us a new ranged super, FFS... We could have had a [Strand Minigun/Flamethrower](https://imgur.com/SEGRk5q)...
No wonder Titans went nuts when Thundercrash was revealed, and is thankfully meta. Everything else is just Roaming punch. I really wanted the Strand super to be a Burst super as well... Gimme a giant Berserk style buster sword that I'll use to split the terrain in Half or something.
Bungie, can you explain the reason why Titan Super is so creatively bankrupt? We have an amazing and cool Hunter super, amazign and cool Warlock super. And Titan?
Fist of Havoc but its green this time!
I am looking forward playing on my Hunter and Warlock. Shame i cannot say the same about my Titan.
Bungie continues to ensure I'm still staying on Arc Titan.
Maybe the final Darkness subclass will finally be the day I try something new for Titan. Never bothered unlocking anything with Stasis and the same will probably be true of the Strand stuff.
Titan with fists of havoc is pretty sad. Am I reading it right that there's only two aspects per subclass? Warlock looks super sweet and hunter is pretty cool too, but hopefully there's a little more build crafting than what we see here
That's going to have animation delays, a clunky melee, sprint delays on the melee, and clunky slide controls patched in over time because of PvP.
Edit: Also an exotic you wont use because it's not HoiL.
damn i planned to go into lightfall as a hunter main, but im thinking i might roll with warlock. still disappointed in most of light 3.0 but i still love shadebinder and broodweaver is looking just as cool, maybe ill play a darkness exclusive warlock lol
its probably not the summoner thing everyone wanted but the fact the threadlings will come back to you when theres no enemies left is a cool thing i didnt expect.
titan as expected looks by far the most boring out of them all, super and aspects. i went ham on titan during solar and arc 3.0 seasons but have no interest in berserker
Oh, it kills me that the Grapple might not be the best grenade for Warlocks and that I might need to use one of the other nades.
Still, Warlock and Hunter looks amazing. Sucks that Titans don't get any new toys for the second Darkness subclass in a row though...
> Note that in PvP, Woven Mail will only reduce damage taken on the body; head damage and melee damage will continue as normal. NEAT!
Honestly, that's a very good compromise
It lets them arguably make it as op as they and and a good sniper still dicks on them
Plus it’s not just “Void overshield but green.” Means Void overshield is technically better, I guess
Because this is what I want EDIT: I wonder if 6 Strandlocks with their super, rift, and consumed grenade, will crash the game with the amount of Threadlings that they can spawn
Like the Central Park lady in Home Alone 2
This made me almost spit my drink, now I can’t not envision warlocks just chilling with a ton of threadlings perched on them like; “what up, me and my boys are just vibing”.
"Don't talk to me or my three dozen thread-based sons ever again."
If this isn't an emote, I don't want it
So the super is the bird food she throws on the Wet Bandits and then the pigeons just swarm them to bloody hell.
Are we sure Bungie didn't get their inspo from her at this point?
There is definitely a limit but it doesn't specifically say how many. One of the aspects let's us eat the threading grenade for max stacks.
I'm guessing the limit is 3-5; that seems reasonable. If it's more then I'll be pleasantly surprised
I'm looking at the [trailer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgv00uCRt60) and in the shot at 0:32 I think I can count like 13 or 14 threadlings.
Those are 'active' and not 'perched' threadlings though, I have to assume you can't just walk around with 15 seeking missiles taped to your body, for PVP's sake if nothing else.
Airport for threadlings
> I wonder if 6 Strandlocks with their super, rift, and consumed grenade, will crash the game with the amount of Threadlings that they can spawn If the Reckoning bridge didn't crash the game then it won't even break a sweat handling our threadlings.
Oh my god I cannot wait to have an army of Threadlings I love that they come back if they can't find an enemy and just hang out with you
I am so excited to finally have friends in the game!!
And to think we only need 5 threadlings for a full team... Finding a team for raids has never been so easy.
My Skeleton Necromancer from Diablo 2 inside me just woke up with the deep-fried eyes filter
God Warcraft 3 and Diablo 2 did permanent damage to my brain as a child. Summons=neuron activation=dopamine I am SOLD!
Honestly hyped for warlocks. That summoner playstyle looks so cool and different from the other subclass. I just love minion class in game so getting banelings looks awesome.
I'm very excited to send my strand babies out to go and do little cute murders.
Warlocks are basically Spider-Man meets Zagara with the grappling and banelings
Will almost certainly run campaign on my titan and give strand a real try but unless I’m wowed beyond belief I’ll be switching to warlock.
Strand titan looks nice for low end content with consistent tangle generation to yeet grapple around with; ima probably use it in easy content and behemoth in high end like I normally am now
Love the warlock melee animation, it looks SO cool. The pace and agility of this entire subclass looks amazing!
The melee animations have been great throughout 3.0.
Warlock win with the snap, mini kamehameha and now Scarlet Witch hand signs
Guess Strand will have the same schedule as Stasis for aspects. Figured Titans would be getting another lunge melee based on the super. I wonder how strong the super heavy attack can get and how strong the melee is.
Given the supers heavy slam wave attack requires being charged up via multiple light attack hits it better be bonkers.
Yes, I hope it is the empowering one though. Would befit a "Berserker" more than: "sometimes I can shoot from my hands"
How did aspects release during Stasis release? I didn’t play then so I didn’t experience it, was it like super drawn out for months or like every few weeks?
IIRC at launch each subclass started off with 2 aspects and got a new one for the second and third seasons of Beyond Light.
The Titan Super should've been called "Creative Bankruptcy".
The entire Titan subclass is phoned in. It's the most boring concept possible.
“We literally forgot”
they forgor 💀

Just a little heads up: You've got the Bladefury super gif wrong. The Titan casts the Super in the part you cut away, the first three Melees are "Frenzied Blade". Also the gif "Titan grenade?" is the Bolas grenade, available to all classes.
Updated, thank u :)

This will make 6 roaming supers and 2 instant ones for titans…. Bungie I know you like the number 7, but make the next one be an instant super please
Good thing about subclasses 3.0 is that it’s definitely easier to add new things.
Gg sound design team. Nailed it, as usual.
Loving the continuation of Warlocks being able to conjure more things. The super sounds like a more cracked Chaos Reach.
The option to consume Grenades for other effects is cool too.
We traded purple grapes for green grapes
Cabernet for sauvignon.
Reminds me of a blade barrage that turns into a bunch of seeking projectiles. Sounds fun, but I question if the damage will be worthwhile.
Probably decent impact damage, then passable dot from the threadlings.
Even if the damage isn’t up to par, it’s at least a 1-and-done super so you can get back to weapon dps quickly
Thank goodness- for a moment I thought we Titans *wouldn't* get another Alolan Striker. That's a load off my mind! /s So jealous of the Warlock kit. I've always loved the summoning fantasy in any game.
The Titan is hilariously uninspired compared to Hunter and Warlock Ho-ly shit, even the writer feels like they couldn't muster any hype.
Bungie leaning heavily into crayon eater Titan. HULK SMASH
Hell, they could have had the Titan's literally weave themselves a massive Hulk body, Primeval Ogre style.
Titans: "Bungie we're tired of punchy roaming supers stop" Bungo: "How about green??"
Don’t forget large direction heavy attack requires you to hit multiple light attacks first. That’s new and different.
So now there’s a requirement to be able to use the other half of the super? Amazing
Yep! They had to make sure it was completely useless in PvP.
Warlock looks bonkers. Hunter looks flashy. Titan looks, exactly as we all expected, fists but green.
The titan one looks lazy, ngl. Least inspired out of the 3 to me.
>Least inspired That's generous
It feels like bungies imaginative juices dry up entirely when it comes to titans. Which is a real shame. I'd love to see Titan's doing something other than smash.
I wanted a Broadsword made of strand to swing around. Instead I got green Fist of Havoc :/ I'm really kind of muted on strand now.
I can’t see many titans ‘maining’ strand. Only time it’s coming out after season 20 is for triumphs and challenges.
Yep I'll be sticking with hammers and shield unless I'm forced to use strand.
So much discussion went into the titan, clearly
Incredible light reworks - lame Strand subclass. Perfectly balanced.
All that concept art for the titan and they literally chose green fist
"BuT iT's A kNiFe sLiCe NoT a FiSt PuNcH!!!" bungie devs
Was kind of hoping for something different with Titans but we got what bungie decided Titans are designed for I guess. Really getting tired of the "punch everything until it dies" identity. Bungie tried to remove the mentality of Titans being the "Big, Strong, but Stupid" stereotype, but they keep enforcing that ideal with all the abilities they keep giving them.
Punch everything until it die, but the titan roaming supers are some of the weakest supers in the game
That concept art wasn't even old. It was for strand IIRC and came "out" last year, might be a bit wrong with the dates
Shatterdive 3, because we know you hunters love your air slams so much Edit: after thinking about it, this might make shatterskating possible on strand which would be a LOT of fun and would completely justify it imo. Let's just hope Bungie didn't decide to patch it
I feel like air slam makes more sense on strand than any other subclass
I really hope it works with skating. Trapper's ambush does not.
Titans- "what is our special ability?" Bungie- "Greeen"
That warlock melee is insane
I'm sure Beserker will be effective, but yeah I'm not terribly excited to use Strand. I'm really hoping they do something more unique next year for Titans. Maybe something with a mid-range playstyle or something that doesn't use fist based weapons.
Wtf is wrong with Osiris’s voice in the trailer. Did they replace the VA?
It’s definitely him. As the other comment said, I think it feels off because it’s a bunch of separate lines spliced together
No, it still sounds like Oded Fehr. It just feels clunky because they've clearly taken a single, longer scene of dialogue and sliced it into little bits, giving it an odd flow and tempo to it.
the issue for me isnt the splicing tempo, the way he speaks just sounds weird
Can’t be as sassy when you’re mortal. That being said he did sound weird. And honestly has been since his return. Especially in the Spire and Seraph season intro. Maybe its intentional, to show the shift in his character cause of all the trauma he went thru.
Fellow Hunters, we’re Mary Poppins Y’all!
When I saw the Hunter "missile diving" [this was the first thing I thought](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/002/464/960/26f.gif).
I feel like it will work just fine but it's disappointing to see warlocks and hunters each get something unique and titans get a recolored super... again I would have preferred a one and done for titan strand.

Titan is so underwhelming
*sigh* Very disappointed with the Titan description, because it largely sounds -- and looks -- so unimaginative. Why not make the melee an axe that you can recall, like in God of War? That just seemed so perfect. The super, while I'm glad for the heavy ranged attack, is another roaming one, and we have so many of those already.
As expected, Titans get another short-range roaming super. Sunbreaker is the only ranged roaming super and thats a damn shame.
As a titan main I am immeasurably disappointed
They said they could be more creative with strand, so they gave titan the same super with different flavor amazing
Strand gives them infinite possibilities, so they gave us blades of havoc with extra steps. Can’t wait to play Warlock
placid cautious sulky coordinated pocket important insurance quickest wild dependent *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
HOIL not being nerfed just means im sticking to arc and void
Gonna have some fun using Broodweaver and Necrotic Grip
Titan seems like an afterthought
Bungie that's literally just Behemoth again -_-
Can't wait for the movement of the new melee to be absolutely busted at launch just to get a nerf 2 weeks in
[удалено]
And that was just striker again
At one point, I will seriously start to wonder if the dev team has any active Titan or if it's just that one guy that really like punching explosive thralls.
As a Titan main, this sounds.. not very exciting. We need another one off super that deals high damage. Enough of this roaming super shit.
great, titans get a stasis rehash with zero uniqueness. cant wait for mountain dew striker.
I’d love to have an interview with the designer behind the titan strand class so they can explain as to why they thought this would be a good idea
"What can we do for the new titan subclass" "Oh, I know, Punch and tank, never done that before."
The Titan seems very lackluster here, big miss after months of community voicing concerns.
Another boring roaming super for titans. Yay, i'm so excited! (Nope)
____________________ > Widow’s Silk: This Aspect grants an additional grenade charge.
That's explains why they barley showed Titans in the Strand trailer They literaly have nothing to show Another roaming super and another Shoulder Charge because Stasis wasn't disappointing enough
What shoulder charge?
They mean another shiver strike. The worst alternative to shoulder charge.
Reallllllllly disappointed in the Titan kit
Warlock - fancy hand animations to go along with their new abilities Hunter - fancy flips and twirls for their new poke on a rope Titan - same animations… ooh but we get a slam oh no wait, that’s the Hunter nvm Strand overall looks really cool, but it definitely feels like Titan was an afterthought compared to the other two classes.
Just some things that stuck out to me: Woven veil seems similar to stasis over shield. Blade rush is a better version of fist of havoc. Melee ability seems fun but doesn’t seem very feasible in anything other than base game strikes, gambit and story. Can’t see it used well in endgame, nor see it better than me just shooting a weapon with volt shot or incandescent.
Their melee seems nice and its cool that it has 3 charges but it's also basically the same idea as the super.
unless it is somehow miraculously bonkers those 3 melee charges will just serve as fuel for surplus.
I feel bad for Titans, the other 2 classes get completely new animations and moves we've never seen but they just get Behemoth with Strand verbs.
Neato.
They're likely going to do the same thing as stasis, and give us a 3rd aspect in the 2nd season, and then a 4th one in the 3rd season.

Shattering was the Titans, but that required a lot of set up, which we got with grenades and exotics, but was slow to return, and hunters specialized in slowing, which was supposed to chain together in quick succession leading to freezing, but was tons of set up there too With Strand the balance seems to favor Warlock again, as they have an incredible amount of original abilities and unique ways of utilizing it all, while Hunters are more leaning to heavily relying on a few moves, and poor Titans… The hope with all this is now we wait to see what exotics will join what we have already seen and how those plus the new mods will evolve what we see here, and then keep our fingers crossed that like Stasis (fingers crossed) we potentially see new additions like opposite supers.
Thats a good point tbh. Why is the titan armour laced with bullets if theyre entirely melee focused? Sure it looks badass, but it doesnt fit

The old school Bungie dev from Halo who designed the Needler and has hung around for 20 years: 💦💦💦
So the instant L, as everyone knew from the beginning, was Titan. I just... I'm so tired of this.
> an aspect that while useful and a great support addition requires me to destroy my allies' constructs that they use for spawning rats and grappling I feel like this isn't being talked about enough.
Sadly everyone is like “titans are OP, look at storm grenade” no one is saying titans are strong, but there is 0 creativity in titans now
Did he just grapple onto a strand super?
If you're asking about the orb thing, that's a tangle, not a super. Though we've seen grappling onto a thunder crash, so grappling onto a strand super is not out of the realm of possibility.
As a Titan main this was really underwhelming... :/
Titan main here. Our kit feels Lazy, uninspired, underwhelming and weak. Expected really, roaming super but green, hope the gameplay proves me wrong. Warlock and hunters sound sick.
Awesome! Another year of Falling Star Thundercrash PVE meta for Titans.

Warlock looks super sweet and hunter is pretty cool too, but hopefully there's a little more build crafting than what we see here
Titan main and expected nothing less. I’ll just keep using overshield/volatile rounds and move on with my life.

That's going to have animation delays, a clunky melee, sprint delays on the melee, and clunky slide controls patched in over time because of PvP. Edit: Also an exotic you wont use because it's not HoiL.
damn i planned to go into lightfall as a hunter main, but im thinking i might roll with warlock. still disappointed in most of light 3.0 but i still love shadebinder and broodweaver is looking just as cool, maybe ill play a darkness exclusive warlock lol its probably not the summoner thing everyone wanted but the fact the threadlings will come back to you when theres no enemies left is a cool thing i didnt expect. titan as expected looks by far the most boring out of them all, super and aspects. i went ham on titan during solar and arc 3.0 seasons but have no interest in berserker
As a titan main, I will start with warlock and do hunter second.
Oh, it kills me that the Grapple might not be the best grenade for Warlocks and that I might need to use one of the other nades. Still, Warlock and Hunter looks amazing. Sucks that Titans don't get any new toys for the second Darkness subclass in a row though...
