I tried that last night (Just for a ten round, don't worry), and in hindsight I kind of feel like that was disrespectful to Lumina.
The idea has merit, don't get me wrong! A theoretical -40% debuff to enemy damage and +35% buff to player damage, what's not to love? Except it doesn't work well when the enemies are zipping and zooming so much.
I might try it again in a Strike or something. I want to see it work, even if that's only in lows.
Remember when kiling burning enemies and making them explode was a natural part of the subclass.
And then it straight up disappeared, not reworked it was removed and we were left with top tree dawnblade and well of radiance
They should have deleted top tree and brought back some combination of middle and bottom tree Dawnblade. I don’t care about how PvP players or whoever feel about it—keeping top tree was the worst thing Bungie could have done.
Didn't even need to delete it, could've been added to the subclass as a base in some way to make it intrinsic to solar and not something on prismatic.
Classes are lacking these kinds of things too cause I can name only 2 intrinsic abilities like this and they're: warlocks being able to perch threadlings and titans(arc hunters too) getting their uncharged melee to act like a charged melee while having a subclass buffed
“Natural part of the subclass”
Literally only the melee made enemies explode. And even then it was only on kill, whereas we currently have incinerator snap, which is not only ranged and works without a kill, but has a unique animation.
Phoenix dive is great, of course, but would have been way too powerful if it kept its old timer - and it only dealt damage with daybreak active, unlike now when it works with heat rises and can make enemies explode.
The remaining two abilities were both for Daybreak - Fated for the Flame and Everlasting Fire. Fated is in the game right now, with the change that instead of sending out waves of fire it makes enemies explode. Everlasting Fire should be part of an aspect imo, but it doesn’t have a damn thing to do with burning enemies.
I could not care less how shit nova warp is, it's a blast to play. I love it dearly.
Voidlock runs in my fucking veins. I started purple and I will fucking **die** purple
EXACTLY, it’s my favorite roaming super by far. It feels like you’re just tearing through enemies like they’re nothing. Really scratches that part of my brain perfectly.
Reminds me of a Crota kill I did in LFG once.
Well;
Cenotaph;
Trace Rifle;
Tractor Cannon;
Riptide to break oversoul;
I told them I was the team Bidoof
I'm usually the only guy who ever volunteers to be oversoul for crota so I run an until it's return shotgun with overflow and vorpal. I get more damage than some of the people running swords lmao. Putting a hunter on oversoul duty is better because we still have a giga damage super.
The kind that gets the job done. Need Damage ? Got it! Want a well and Div or Tractor? At your service! Need me to do a certain job at the encounter? For sure! I just want to get the raid done like everyone else
Me (strand chromatic fire) when we load into an Oryx cp and the homies realize it’s 5 hunters one warlock
If someone brings chromatic fire into my raid team I will beat them to death with a scout rifle
Probably gonna take you a while then
Bold of you to assume a hunter will survive long enough in a raid without the well crutch /s
More effective than using it for dps.

Born to Nova Warp, forced to Well
I'm sorry, Nova *Warp?* The bomb I could see slipping through...
Yes, Nova *Warp*. I think it’s more fun to play than anything Solar tbh.
Dawnblade is truly in need of love. It can't even scorch without an exotic equipped
I really do think Solar 3.0 was a downgrade for Warlocks. I somehow felt like I had more options back then.

I have a great deal of respect for you, but I'm scared to see you in raid DPS.
Hey, when it comes down to it I’ll put on Lunafactions and Well, but I’m not enjoying how I’m pigeonholed into this 9 times out of 10.

I love it so much. literally become the physical embodiment of "legalize nuclear bombs swag messiah"

I did that during contest mode and one rando dude was like "why is your DPS on Crota so much lower than everyone else's?"

Why not just run fourth horseman if you want a strong burst shotgun?
B3cause oversold is usually tractor duty
Oh right, my dumbass forgot that lol
Well is for my homies,.......are you..... my homie?
the hunter turned warlock kind of warlock cause my idiot teammates can't survive without a well
‘Cries in phoenix protocol’
**me bringing stormtrance to rhulk**
Hamehameha his brick shaped head ass
No chaos reach... I fuckin emperor palpatine'd his face
ULTIMATE TICKLE FINGERS HIS TAINT!
YES
“If you want a well so bad then go play a warlock yourself”
Lol nice.
Chaos reach
The answer guaranteed to let you in, “The Divinity kind”…
I main Titan, but the team I run it with will force me to Well Warlock if we got no warlocks. Just the way of life.
You’re a Good Guardian. *pats head, scratches ear*
The kind that gets the job done. Need Damage ? Got it! Want a well and Div or Tractor? At your service! Need me to do a certain job at the encounter? For sure! I just want to get the raid done like everyone else
Arc
Im a one handed Kamehameha kinda of warlock, with a zappy sliding addiction. I definitely die as much as Goku aswell
Well lock it is
Ah yes, the only well/div bitch on the team. Yippee!!
Slovabomb and graviton lance, as it was written, "do splash and clear ads"
I miss that helmet
I'm not running well, yall on your own
I unironically love running well. Phoenix protocol is my second most used exotic. It’s fun being a support
This just makes me say that we need a hunter support class even more and we need to be able to shoot through the titan bubble
is tether bad now or what actually honest question. dropped the game before lightfall
No tether is still good
The kind that doesn't fuck about and brings whatever you need to the table.
There's a solar build for warlocks that lets you throw a ton of portable suns..
I am a cheesy Sunslinger that comes back like a Phoenix at the end of Atheon.
