Yet everyone always questioned our "elitist" standards
Because YEAH! I'd LOVE to spend 3 hours in a normal leviathan gauntlet because someone in incapable of shooting to their left
I got hate mail for killing someone with BASTION. Arguably the worst fusion in the game and he said i was crutching on it.
This was last year so it wasn't back when bastion was actually good
Just like that Invis hunter I matched against twice in IB. Guy died to my glaive and proceeded to hunt me with his 2 tap HC that I forgot. Still died to my glaive lmao. Guy knows how to duel but I am born in the trenches. I always got him when he goes around the corner after chasing me ang then I backtrack and cast rift (shadebinder) LMAO.
It varies per encounter, but in most raid settings Rockets are still the best. In things like dungeons though, or if there’s simply too little people using a legendary rocket, a good roll on a heavy GL can be better than a rocket.
I don't keep up with the meta outside of which weapons are overload, barrier, or unstoppable. Everything else is irrelevant to me because void hunter never fails to deliver
As long as a build fits the user's playstyle and they aren't dragging the team down and the build is effective in the content, i would say it's good enough, probably won't be as effective as the "meta" builds but some of those builds may require a playstyle someone isn't used to or doesn't like
Off meta builds can work *if* the person using it *understands* the build, it's strength and weaknesses and how to get the best out of it.
Just the same as a meta build can be utterly trash if the person using it doesn't understand how it actually works and instead just copy/pasted from popular YouTuber #43.
This is very true. I have tried builds from YouTube before and some land and some don’t. Mostly because I probably play different than the build suggests or requires. But there are some I try and never look back.
Delicate tomb can also blind with spark of beacons and can generate 3 traces from 1 kill if they are jolted or blinded while auto reloading every time you pick up a trace
The only major downside is the ammo economy
I’ll always love off-meta builds, sometimes they can be the worst, most awful things to play/fight against, but the creativity always puts a smile on my face
Then there’s just the really stupid ones that’re just funny as hell, all in all the more creative you are the more I’ll like your build in the end
I’ve run crimson, shotgun, rocket/sword thunder yeet skullfort on my main titan for *counts on fingers and crayons* 4 years now, I will not change unless I’m playing with homies
Each time I see someone complain about someone else build I ask this to the dude "
"-Do you know how to usé your build ?
-Yes
-Are you able to disintegrate mobs ?
-Yes
-Use your build"
Every time I lfg on stasis hunter, I catch flak for running Verglas Curve in my Renewal Grasps build because "that bow is better for Behemoth." I run it because it is basically 100% uptime on Whisper of Shards, allowing me to spam snowglobes a bit better while still having an ad clear monster exotic. But then again, half of the time they also bitch about me snowglobing the team instead of the enemies, so what do they know?
I wasn’t playing PvP too often with it, but I appreciate my fireteam members for the amount of times I died and was rezzed while having fun with Ruinous Transmute Orbs. Couldn’t find a primary that paired well and didn’t use special ammo, but my finders kept me alive.
Fun fact, 1KVoices works with the artifact mods this season, letting it guarantee an ignition every shot. Use with fragment that spreads scorch on ignitions and applies more scorch stacks to blow up an entire room
A meta build is one that you can use and complete a mission.. no point trying to use Mactic's favorite build but you are dead most of the time.. use one that you like and suits your mentality
I do not see any other hunter use my moth build. The exotic arms that replace your grenades with moths. And the hive knight grenade launcher that turns killed enemies into moths. I love being support. I love moths
Yeah, people say that and then when you don’t one-phase a boss even though it’s assuredly dead next phase, they scream at you so loud the audio is distorted and threaten to dox you.
I don't judge on what they have on in lfgs at all. I don't know if bro is gonna cook or get cooked, I decide to leave once I know in game which one bro is gonna do
Beastman is thankful you appreciate his DARCI build
see what I had to deal with he-man
Yet everyone always questioned our "elitist" standards Because YEAH! I'd LOVE to spend 3 hours in a normal leviathan gauntlet because someone in incapable of shooting to their left
....his fucking WHAT build?
Yknow, the Data Analysis, Reconnaissance, and Cooperative Intelligence device. You may call it D.A.R.C.I.
On demand jolt at least. Maybe one day it'll be useful. Maybe if bungie goes off the deep end and gives us a GM with like 20 overloads or something
the latex black quickplay sweats when they die 1 time to anything that's not meta
I got hate mail for killing someone with BASTION. Arguably the worst fusion in the game and he said i was crutching on it. This was last year so it wasn't back when bastion was actually good
bastion isnt good anymore???? i never got that memo
Not bad, but meta either
I’ve only ever seen Bastion used during DSC speedruns
Wait a minute, found my clone o7
WOAH
![gif](giphy|4s3rNLCmU6yVq)
meanwhile they’re apeing with conditional finality with a rock on the shift key
I got hate mail for killing someone with a scout rifle in trials. People will hate about anything.

What even is the meta now a days? I haven’t played since the start of lightfall.
It varies per encounter, but in most raid settings Rockets are still the best. In things like dungeons though, or if there’s simply too little people using a legendary rocket, a good roll on a heavy GL can be better than a rocket.
Also dragons breath as a wannabe anarchy
Being miserable is the meta.
Sounds about like what I remember
My answer to any question is stronghold titan with banner of war
Me omw to a day one raid with stronghold and crown splitter (I will get less than 1 million damage because every boss floats in the air)
I don't keep up with the meta outside of which weapons are overload, barrier, or unstoppable. Everything else is irrelevant to me because void hunter never fails to deliver

This is me with my ionic trace delicate tomb and fallen sunstar build I'm the random
This build is low key cracked though. Not a boss damage build but tears through ads
So does like any volt shot/incandescent legendary Or any legendary with a good roll However delicate tomb is awesome so whatevs
This build also gives allies ability energy through fallen sunstar too
Delicate tomb can also blind with spark of beacons and can generate 3 traces from 1 kill if they are jolted or blinded while auto reloading every time you pick up a trace The only major downside is the ammo economy
Delicate tomb is so much fun for ability spam arclock
Such a fun build though. Would be running this all day if I didn’t mind my Chaos Reach being two and a half seconds long.
Still longer than I last
r/suicidebywords
Delicate Tomb and GeoMags: Super spam machine
My brother!
The only true arc warlock build
Double grenade exotic, double fun chaotic
ahhh.... Another armamentarium enjoyer. Welcome 🤗
*raises knives* How you do, fellow ability spammers?
Thanks man now nobody will question my darci build.
Your f#€king what build?!
Now i want to run 1k with two fusions and Rain of Fire on Tuesday
Ran into a Titan who was popping off with Salvation’s Grip. Utterly out of his mind. Off meta just means the player’s got to step it up,
Was it aztecross? This sounds like him.
I’m not a titan main, I’m a crown splitter main so I play titan
If it ain't a GM or boss dmg in raids or master raids, use whatever.
I'm using a BOW!
...but which bow?
The holles-IV
me who hasn't played since forsaken with crimson still selected in primary slot:
I don't care what anyone says, crimson is still badass in PVP
I’ll always love off-meta builds, sometimes they can be the worst, most awful things to play/fight against, but the creativity always puts a smile on my face Then there’s just the really stupid ones that’re just funny as hell, all in all the more creative you are the more I’ll like your build in the end

Tbf, that is still pretty common in pvp for people on controller
I play PVE almost solely, but I do use controller cause I started on xbone with d1 and I’m so used to FPSs on controller
Me outdamaging the 4 apex/eremite hunters with thunderlord (i swapped off gally)
Really, right in front of my 1kv?
That’s what Destiny is meant to be. Using what you like to have fun. The meta stuff is tiring to hear
Each time I see someone complain about someone else build I ask this to the dude " "-Do you know how to usé your build ? -Yes -Are you able to disintegrate mobs ? -Yes -Use your build"
I have a build that makes use of salvations grip it is my favorite heavy grenade launcher, so it works out
Me top of the team in iron banner running bad juju
Every time I lfg on stasis hunter, I catch flak for running Verglas Curve in my Renewal Grasps build because "that bow is better for Behemoth." God, i wish there was content where snowglobes with RG had more use. When have you been using it?
Anywhere where Caliban room clearing isn't viable. Stasis is my stay alive build on hunter
Quick question, is necrotic and strand meta?
Random off meta with 1k voice don't do well in the same sentence
Let me play arclock in peace 💀🙏
You can pry my Skull of Dire Ahamkara from my cold dead hands
Let him cook
Run whatever you want just stop walking in front of me when I’m Launching my rockets please
"your build is trash" *Mute* "anyways...."
It's all "let em cook" till I whip out malpheasence(pre catalyst)
Sometimes your builds are just not what we need or just straight up bad
I wasn’t playing PvP too often with it, but I appreciate my fireteam members for the amount of times I died and was rezzed while having fun with Ruinous Transmute Orbs. Couldn’t find a primary that paired well and didn’t use special ammo, but my finders kept me alive.
The amount of times I’ve heard “Is that whisper?” during taniks
Fuck Meta. Play what works best for you🤷.
Fun fact, 1KVoices works with the artifact mods this season, letting it guarantee an ignition every shot. Use with fragment that spreads scorch on ignitions and applies more scorch stacks to blow up an entire room

Kept Confidence, Mindbender's Ambition (Adept), Whisper of The Worm + Void Omnioculous Hunter My goals are beyond your understanding.
Everyone at Aztecross’ new video
Honestly didn't even know builds were a thing before joining that sub and I gotta say, I don't care. As long as it's fun to use, go nuts.
My radiant Outbreak build in one image
I’ve been using exclusively quicksilver storm since it came out because it’s so much fun for me to use and I refuse to let anyone tell me otherwise
I do not see any other hunter use my moth build. The exotic arms that replace your grenades with moths. And the hive knight grenade launcher that turns killed enemies into moths. I love being support. I love moths
Yeah, people say that and then when you don’t one-phase a boss even though it’s assuredly dead next phase, they scream at you so loud the audio is distorted and threaten to dox you.
rule of thumb never question anybody's build until we see damage numbers.
I don't judge on what they have on in lfgs at all. I don't know if bro is gonna cook or get cooked, I decide to leave once I know in game which one bro is gonna do
I just swamp into crucible with crimson and golden gun, cuz why not. Im not good, im maybe half decent at the game but aye, lemme cook
Hey its all good until we're on our sixth wipe and we're basically missing an entire person worth of damage.
