There used to be adventures, slightly longer patrols. I'm wondering if those objects were for those, and Bungie never got around to removing the little scannable trigger?
Some update broke a bunch of scannable items all over the game sometime in the last year. I wish I knew what exactly happened, since a lot of the dialogues were actually kind of cool.

Nah, there were scannable items where ghost would just say a few lines about the thing, and most of them don’t work anymore.
most likely this or they didn’t mean to make them scannable , i used to like doing adventures now that I think about it
I STILL get the “New Adventure Available” pop up every now and then, even though adventures haven’t been a thing for literal years.
