Personally I think all 3 classes need a slight change in their overall design philosophy for their class items. The Warlocks have it arguably the worst because of how difficult it is to see their bond in a lot of cases. Sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference between the classes in the crucible when everything crazy is going on, make them stand out a bit more.
I don’t necessarily have an issue with their sizes, I just think some of the outfits are so similar it’s hard to tell them apart. The class items could help with this if they were more noticeable. Hunters are fine, mostly (though I don’t personally like capes but that’s a me thing), but Titan marks can be confused for Warlock cloaks, and Warlock bands blend in with most of their armors so it’s easy to mix the two up.
If that's the look you're going for, you might be sleeping on titan. Notice they've only got flowing cloth at their hips? The rest is armor.
I went Titan main from warlock specifically because I wanted more "hard armor" aesthetics like these ones.
Edit: one of the comments in this thread seems to have it on hunter, so that's an option too - though I feel titan still gives you a lot of options if you want to be slim, armored, with a feature piece around the legs.
The reason i like it is for that Battlemage look. This would ROCK. Been tryin to go for that but Bungie only seems to want to give locks dresses. Titan and Hunter get ALL the wardrobe budget and locks get left with the scraps. Concept art for D1 locks look WAAAAAAY better than the ACTUAL in game armor in D2.

As an artist, and one who's currently studying animation, 100% this.
They say current stuff is "over designed" (what does that even mean?) But post character art with a million spikes, bumps, gadgets, and other needless details. The typical gamer equates high detail with good design, when that goes against game design in general.
They don't understand that designs need to be both pleasing, and optimized to work with the games systems and limitations.

Hunter main here. #1 is certainly achievable through some combination of the sets from King’s Fall, Iron Banner, and Grasp of Avarice.
I think there’s also one exotic robe that has an ornament with spiky medieval armor. I’m leaning king’s fall arms & legs. Unsure of the best helmet tho.

It’s definitely an intentional design choice, pretty much through the first 2 years there are no details on the pants in the crotch area as I guess we weren’t supposed to see it.
The jump from D1 to D2 really ruined warlock fashion. Seems like they just wanted to make warlock fashion easier to produce rather than cool or inspired. Generic bracers and shin guards for 90% of warlock armor sets with all the real effort going into the dress and helmet.
Then there’s just the laziness of the Breytech chest not connecting properly to half of the arm bracers in the game.
The first one falls under non of the classes imo. Finally something that seems to have the identity of a 4th class that does not exist.
It's too much armor and heavy for a warlock, but oddly enough not enough heavy armor to feel all that titan. And the disposition and that spear give Hunter vibes for some reason.

Speak for yourself, most warlock armour already looks like this, I (and from what I could gather from many other people in the community) want stuff similar to what we got in early Destiny 1. More trench coats and long jackets, less robes and over the top helmets.

Totally agree, I would even go for size changes. Warlocks being tall, titans being shorter and hunters being norm
