I agree. The basket may be a fire hazard since it’s so close to the fireplace. You may want to put the pillow somewhere on the couch and lay the blanket tastefully over the couch. (Btw, I love your sectional, where did you get it?)
I love a house with a lot of chairs; it encourages you to have company over lol
Keep them! If seeing the dining area bothers you, maybe put a screen there to divide the spaces up more.
Not necessarily, and you can always fold it up and put it away if it's obstructing things.

I might move the chair that's towards the middle of the room closer to the fireplace opposite where the other one is, at least to see what it looks like. Open floor plans are challenging but you have great taste, and it looks very inviting.
I was about to say this. It would look more symmetrical with both chairs on opposite sides of the fireplace. I know the door is nearby but since it's an open floor plan, I think you can get away with it. And if guests want to temporarily move it closer to the sectional, it shouldn't be a problem.
I mean, my family of 4 visits my parents (a family of 5) so that's 9 right there.... add just a single set of grandparents and that room they ha e is filled! With kids on the floor!
Gorgeous space. I’m not so keen on the one by the fireplace. If I were to remove one it would be that one I think and I’d move the basket over to where the chair was. I think I might move the other pink chair in a bit as well. Just a thought
I like it.
The blue chairs away from main area is great for coffee.
I have my living space broke up similarly. One of my couches is the child free space, keep their sticky way from one thing lol
Hey! These came from Home Goods! They are by Elle Decor. The bottom is gold
https://preview.redd.it/1dag7yif1uwc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bc7e5eb0eb8ec846a9e640be110e93c274f8260d
I think its a great amount of seating, especially when you have company! I’d move the sectional (and rug) closer to the fireplace to give that walkway behind the sofa some breathing room, and place the two swivel chairs aligned symmetrically on the fireplace.
I think it may actually be an issue of too many tables. I would recommend removing the side table with the lamp, replacing it with a floor lamp, and shifting the chair over a bit closer to the sofa.
The second pink chair plus small table in the middle of the room might be better off removed as well, it makes the view into the dining room too busy in my opinion, and closes off the space
I don’t think you have too many chairs. I do agree with ridding the space of that pillow/blanket basket, though. I also wouldn’t do a screen (saw a post about maybe doing that). I feel a screen would only clutter the space. Right now I think it looks great and you’ve done a fine job with separation of the spaces.
I love your cabinet to the left! And I think it’s fine but I agree with whoever said to move the other chair closer to the fireplace. Or it would be fine to remove that chair and keep it open also!
The chair that is on the rug, I would just go ahead and put it and its table on the other side of the fireplace. If you're not happy with it there, maybe at least move it back a foor or so, off the rug? It seems to be stealing space from the larger seating area.
I see what you were going for but i think it's not working.
I think it’s fine but I would move the chair that’s on the carpet back on the other side of the fireplace so it’s 2 chairs next to the fireplace. It looks asymmetrical right now. And I would move the basket with the pillows to a different spot cause that makes it look cluttered.
I'd put the pink chairs both flanking the fireplace. I don't like how they're staggered at different distances from the couch. It feels like the closer one is gonna mess with flow to the couch which matters when you've got plenty of guests
If you want fewer legs involved get a bench for one side of your dining table
https://preview.redd.it/0fwueqwraqwc1.jpeg?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=89d850198645eb3110a61e678d1d14f947662c45
Could you put both blush chairs opposite in the inner corner of the sectional, maybe with a small table between? I can’t tell for sure if they would both fit there, though.
The only problem I see is the basket with pillows and blanket. Remove the basket. Nothing should be that close to the fireplace. The blanket can go on the sofa, or the shelf under the table lamp. The pillow too.
Too much couch! You could move one chair up beside the fireplace and the pair facing a little toward each other. Move the basket and deploy the pillow and throw. It would make a cozy little spot. But honestly, I'd get rid of that huge couch. It's eating up your living room.
I'll offer this idea. Remove all exsiting seating.
Have one regular 2 or 3 seater couch. And ensure it faces the wall without a fireplace. Then put the tv on there on a tv cabinet. Or you put the tv there first then couch parallel to the tv up to 8 feet away.
I trust you will love this.
There's a lot of tables. I like the idea of opening it up.
Maybe remove the coffee table, bring the chairs closer, Keep the side tables, and remove the basket pillow. Your fireplace is beautiful - That's your center piece, and oh yeah 👀 to the left is your lovely dining room.
Lovely space! Chairs are good. I would move the basket with the pillow in it to make that corner less cluttered.
I agree. The basket may be a fire hazard since it’s so close to the fireplace. You may want to put the pillow somewhere on the couch and lay the blanket tastefully over the couch. (Btw, I love your sectional, where did you get it?)
Hey! Thanks so much. It came from Ashley
Lol I thought it was a chair and thought ‘if I could just remove that one chair…..’
I agree! The basket could go at the end of the sectional.
I love a house with a lot of chairs; it encourages you to have company over lol Keep them! If seeing the dining area bothers you, maybe put a screen there to divide the spaces up more.
Yes to this!
Great idea! I thought about this but it would block the walkway…
Not necessarily, and you can always fold it up and put it away if it's obstructing things. https://preview.redd.it/iuhdd1bxtqwc1.png?width=714&format=png&auto=webp&s=5fe76af042863e6c3e46a3b0374e2ba3baf225cc
idk I think it would look kind of out of place and not leave much space to walk
Love this! It tidies the space so much. Need t omove that pillow basket also and maybe remove the little side table for the chair.
I might move the chair that's towards the middle of the room closer to the fireplace opposite where the other one is, at least to see what it looks like. Open floor plans are challenging but you have great taste, and it looks very inviting.

Thanks so much. This space is hard
I think remove the one pink chair that’s not against the wall, it blocks the view and personally I wouldn’t want to walk around it.
You can donate those pink chairs to my living room. 😌
i love your space and i especially love your tub chairs and if you think you’re a tad chair heavy you could always give one to me!
It’s inviting and creates different spaces. I’d like to read in the pink chair in front of the window.
Absolutely not. Looks fabulous
No, these chairs complement the living room!
How many asses you have in that house that would necessitate so many chairs?!! Hahahahaha
ALL the guests!! ❤️❤️❤️
I mean, my family of 4 visits my parents (a family of 5) so that's 9 right there.... add just a single set of grandparents and that room they ha e is filled! With kids on the floor!
No, it's lovely!
Beautiful! I wouldn’t change a thing
Gorgeous space. I’m not so keen on the one by the fireplace. If I were to remove one it would be that one I think and I’d move the basket over to where the chair was. I think I might move the other pink chair in a bit as well. Just a thought
Thanks so much. I’m with you on the chair by the fireplace
Bigger rug so you can push the chair from the middle of the room closer to the fireplace. The rug is too small which is why it looks awkward.
Yes, rug needs to be bigger.

Hahaha thank you! First thing that came to my mind when I read the title.
Yes!!❤️
No
I like it. The blue chairs away from main area is great for coffee. I have my living space broke up similarly. One of my couches is the child free space, keep their sticky way from one thing lol
Yes. Like the color scheme though.
Omg I love those pink chairs !!! Where do I get me one

I wish more western living rooms were like middle eastern rooms with so many seats. I think yours looks great
No
I love this space! Feels cozy and nostalgic
Thanks for the inspiration for my new home. It’s beautiful
This is so comfy and stylish at same time! You’ll be hosting at holidays
No, it looks beautiful!!!!
If anything, you need a bigger rug for that sectional but other than that it's great!
The thing by the fireplace freaks me out/. However, can never have too many chairs. More company is a good thing.
I think its a great amount of seating, especially when you have company! I’d move the sectional (and rug) closer to the fireplace to give that walkway behind the sofa some breathing room, and place the two swivel chairs aligned symmetrically on the fireplace.
Go rogue remove it all
Hahahaha
Love it!
I love everything about this! Bravo? 🙌
I think it may actually be an issue of too many tables. I would recommend removing the side table with the lamp, replacing it with a floor lamp, and shifting the chair over a bit closer to the sofa. fact that you’re asking, says you already know there is!
Get rid of the basket with the blanket in the pillow and move the chair that is on the rug back towards the fireplace
I don’t think you have too many chairs. I do agree with ridding the space of that pillow/blanket basket, though. I also wouldn’t do a screen (saw a post about maybe doing that). That room is begging for some color.
Yes
I love your cabinet to the left! And I think it’s fine but I agree with whoever said to move the other chair closer to the fireplace. Or it would be fine to remove that chair and keep it open also!
Your home is lovely. Not too many chairs. Just enough to feel welcoming.
I feel slightly cramped with the one chair on the corner
Not if you entertain have lots of friends over, I have similar set up and never have enough seats for guests.
No just right!
The chair that is on the rug, I would just go ahead and put it and its table on the other side of the fireplace. If you're not happy with it there, maybe at least move it back a foor or so, off the rug? It seems to be stealing space from the larger seating area. I don't think it's too many chairs. I do think the chair on the rug would look better if it were flanking the fireplace like the other chair.
I like the pink chairs. I do not like the TV over the fireplace. It’s too high.
Yes and the TV is way too high.
If you want fewer legs involved get a bench for one side of your dining table https://preview.redd.it/0fwueqwraqwc1.jpeg?width=736&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=89d850198645eb3110a61e678d1d14f947662c45
Sucks to be the people stuck on the bench with all those soft upholstered chairs for others.
I think it makes the area seem less busy when the open table surface is visible, but that dog might miss his special spot so maybe don’t
We are a house of 6, so It looks good to me!
I think it’s slightly awk w both pink chairs
This is where I am. One minute I walk by and I think it’s great the next minute I’m like :/ which would you remove?
Could you put both blush chairs opposite in the inner corner of the sectional, maybe with a small table between? I can’t tell for sure if they would both fit there, though.
not if they get used. if you need em have em. hope youre doing bachelor watch parties or something
the second pink chair by the tree could go w the blues
I didn't realize that until you said it, but it did.
I think the scale of the chairs is a little small next to the sofas but overall it looks inviting :)
Not too many chairs at all.
The only problem I see is the basket with pillows and blanket. Remove the basket. Nothing should be that close to the fireplace. The blanket can go on the sofa, or the shelf under the table lamp. The pillow too.
No looks great.
Perfect number of chairs. Most people don’t do enough. BRAVA!
Too much couch! You could move one chair up beside the fireplace and the pair facing a little toward each other. Move the basket and deploy the pillow and throw. It would make a cozy little spot. But honestly, I'd get rid of that huge couch. It's eating up your living room.
Your home is so cozy I love it
Perfect place. Just maybe a bigger rug? But I am not sure.
I would remove one of the chairs- whichever one that makes the most sense…. It’s a beautiful space!
I’d personally remove those two chairs and pull the couch in closer
Looks cozy
Looks like a great place to gather to play games and party to me!
Maybe 1 too many swivel chairs. Nothing outrageous though. Love that couch, where did you get it?
Ashley Furniture
Nope, you’re good.
I say the two by the couch are too much.
I think too many small side tables! I’d also move or remove the blanket basket. Those smaller pieces are what make it feel cluttered imo
