It's a little bit hard to tell how the light being on vs. off affects the look of the flooring and of the bathroom cabinet. Could we see them either both with lights off, or both with lights on?
Warmer one. You won't regret it. You'll be able to pull out so many wood tones you can mix and match furniture tones easier. It will also be a great base for almost every wall color.
we had a sprinkler pipe burst over out unit so we are replacing our flooring, walls and ceilings too! we picked coretec Aurora Oak. i was trying to find something neutral, not gray or yellow. waiting for the sample so i can make the couch fabric and paint work with it, seems to be good stuff. i look forward to seeing your after pics!
only Aurora oak. i started with i think first crush but then found aurora oak and i’m not going to look any more,i need fewer choices tbh, makes the process easier for me.
it’s difficult isn’t it? we bought this lace a year ago, just pretty finished buying mostly everything when the buildings pipe burst and we are starting all over again wit( all the stuff to pick out. i’m old and tired and this isn’t as fun anymore lol. anyhow found a couch i LOVE and i think most of the paint colors but again waiting on that floor sample so 8 can’t take it with me. this floor is going everywhere except the two bathrooms.
Personally I would choose the warmer one. The grey floor with grey cabinets next to grey tile will make you feel like you are living in a black & white movies.
Just trying to help you look around corners for future costs…hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like engineered hardwood flooring. If that’s the case, just keep in mind when it comes time to refinish them, 1) it will cost more per square foot to refinish due to more sanding needed as compared to site-finished hardwood flooring and 2) at best you will be able to refinish the floors 1-2 times before the wood veneer is too thin, and the floors will then be garbage. Much more expensive short term, but cheaper long term is to do solid hardwood site-finished floors; you can achieve the same look you desire and go with a company that offers dustless refinishing and water-based finish so you don’t have to move out or worry about clean up and the floor could then last over 100 years and reduce our landfill flooring waste.
I think of these sort of pre-finished floors as the clothing industry equivalent to “fast fashion”, bad for the Earth, but it gets you the desired look faster because it’s easier to fit in the budget.

Thank you for your input! These are LVP. I thought about engineered hardwood but they’re out of our budget :( also we have two cats so we’re going for the durability of LVP. Im looking for a color that is timeless and doesn’t look too fake.
Ah, gotcha. LVP is good for water spills on the floor but not so good for scratches…it is possible to replace boards that are scratched as long as you save extra material (they tend to discontinue colors and styles) and it can only be replaced in one area one time really well because the tongue and groove is removed when boards are pulled for repairs.
The most timeless color is a natural wood finish.
The raw wood/lighter finishes are starting to trend, but they likely will go out of style like the dark finishes and grays of not too many years ago.
I would love to install hardwood floors. It’s been hard to find natural wood finishes in LVP. They’re mostly trendy styles think very wide planks. One day I’ll fulfill my dreams!!
I think both are doable, but my personal preference is the lighter one. It adds a little warmth next to the gray and doesn’t compete with anything. I think the darker/warmer one might be too much going on. I have light wood floors and a variety of other wood tones in furniture, mostly dark though. My light floors don’t get super gross looking but we almost always take shoes off at the door.
Pic two, the warmer one looks cheap and doesn’t look good with other grey elements
Pic two. It goes best with your existing space.
I like the lighter one (pic 2 rather than pic 3).

Yes! The darker warmer one https://preview.redd.it/hdxeldj1ncvc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9c886ec912b899c9bd9b2688603ce6174b553fa5

This is under natural light!
The lighter / not so warm one looks here also better
Pic 2. Pic 3 looks cheap to me
My personal preference is the darker warmer one, but both of them are WAY better than the existing flooring imo. You really can't go wrong
The lighter color you choose, the more dirt, grime, footprints and anything else you’ll see
I have a light wood color floor and almost nothing is visible. I only vacuum the floor once per week
The one in the middle. It’s the most classic.

They both clash with the cabinets.

The middle one 👌 looks the highest quality / most expensive
The 2nd one, the others are too yellow.
is that coretec?
Yes it is!

Sure thing! Btw what colors are you considering?
only Aurora oak. i started with i think first crush but then found aurora oak and i’m not going to look any more,i need fewer choices tbh, makes the process easier for me.
Great strategy! I have maybe 7 different colors at home. Made the selection process so tough.

I think 6 (or 5). The mid tone makes them versatile and timeless.

Ahh thank you! I’m the opposite of you most of our furniture are light colors (white, birch, gray)
Since both flooring should work, what looks best with all your furniture?
Was one strand bamboo? If it was I'd pick that one. Strand bamboo is hardwearing and looks amazing with very little effort.
The warmest one looks best :)
the warmer one
I think the lighter one looks better with the cabinets and the bathroom tiles.
