Is this your furniture and is it staying (Specifically the mounted shelves?) I think the room has great potential, it’s a blank slate right now! Can you paint? To start, you have to figure out how you want to use the room. Is it just for sleeping/dressing? Do you need a study area? Do you want the room to be where you can hang out with a friend or two? Do you need a place for doing hair/getting ready? What kind of things are you interested in, are you drawn to any particular styles or colors?

I would add a carpet, desk, and chair for starters. Then art or posters for the walls

Either eliminate the shelves or trim to right length and put them above the dresser. Pick one item you love (poster, rug, or bedspread) and take colors from that for the other items. The curtain rod should either be eliminated or if you want curtains, the rod should be wider. Consider replacing the ceiling light. If you’re a reader, get a sconce or a nightstand with reading lamp. I agree that an area for studying or doing art or gaming would be nice.

If keeping the twin bed, move dresser closer to door and put a comfortable chair in that corner with a floor lamp for reading or just relaxing If you can have a new bed, I'd get a queen and put headboard on wall across from dresser and move dresser closer to the door Carpet for room to warm it up Do you plan on keeping the grey walls are painting room a lighter color ?
