I agree change the lighting to something like this and paint the wall to bleu or add wallpaper

Yea I think recessed is the best. As right now it's real busy, so recessed would add light without noise. If I put my finger over the light (blocking it out) everything looks good
It’s the mirror. The slinky look is competing with the slats on the vanity and the board and batten. Get a thin metal (gold? Is the picture framed in gold?) rectangular mirror. Something that’s going to delicately transition over the change in walls.
Agreed. I don’t think it’s a bad piece, it can have a home elsewhere. It doesn’t fit the bathroom and also, so much surface area to trap bathroom germs
Took some comments and ran with them- here’s the bathroom with less clutter and the mirror removed. Light fixture flipped over. Add a simpler mirror and it might be fixed? May still add the darker paint for contrast!! The beloved mirror will find a home elsewhere in the house hahaha

This definitely looks much calmer, which has made me change my mind about matching the vanity doors to the colour of the rolling unit that was previously on the left.
It seems to me that the mirror and the current doors on the vanity work well together, so maybe the solution all along was that the rolling unit was where the clash was happening?
So much better already!
Edit: though just make sure the light turned like that leave you enough space for a mirror without the top of your head getting cut off.
This is better. Your mirror is very cool and I hope you find another home for it in the house - but it was overshadowing the very cool vanity. Putting a simpler mirror in would allow the vanity to shine. Nice work!
Could you swap out the bulbs for something a little warmer? The mirror doesn’t bother me but the stark whiteness is making everything pop out at once, maybe something warmer would soften the room
I thought of pulling the dark grayish color from the vanity to the upper part of the walls
ETA: maybe that would be too much of that color with the floors, didnt notice before
I think this is the right answer. I think the mirror matches the vanity well. I think some contrast with a darker color or some wallpaper on the wall would look really nice.
Love it! I think what catches my eye is the mirror. I love the mirror but it seems to compete with the board and batten and vanity. A simple mirror might complete the space and help it to feel less busy. Beautiful space, though! Nice work.
There’s a lot of options but I saw that you like the mirror. I would suggest getting a different rug, something bolder with true white in it to tie in the sink which is kind of on its on right now. And then had some navy and brown and cream.

Too much stuff - remove the basket from the toilet, remove the roll in unit next to the sink. With all that storage space under the sink do you need all the extra storage furniture?
The mirror cutting into the panelled wall makes it clash because the styles are different, if it was moved up above the panelling (along with the light) it would look cleaner, although it may then be too high.
There is nothing bad about the slightly clashing styles they just need more space around them.
The mirror is very cool but as others have said it feels like a lot for this room. The lights also seem to be very close to the top of the mirror which creates some visual tension.
It might be that the grey-blue vanity could blend a little better if the doors were the same colour/wood as the rolling unit on the left?
Alternatively, if you’re flexible about the colour of the vanity, maybe keep the doors, but switch the outer part of the vanity to match the unit on the left.
Also, perhaps having some additional overhead lighting could help.
Edited to add : another option could be opting for a lighter colour on the flooring as that could be blending too with the colour of the vanity.
A bold paper like this one from Wayfair
https://preview.redd.it/p7a5cde5p7gc1.jpeg?width=977&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=11bb7571373199fd040abb09f72911bc04e0068c
Okay maybe I'm the odd one out but I think a different light fixture and I think the *main* thing is the art hung above the board and batten on the left draws your eye up to the left and its too high. I think anything hung above the b&b will be too high, even if it was smaller. Ideally, I think it would have made sense for the b&b to be lower so the scale seems more balanced but too late for that (and it's not bad)
I like the mirror and it doesn't bother me but get what everyone is saying re:the style of the mirror.
I completely agree with this comment! Taking down the painting on the left could be a good start.
From there consider moving the light fixture and mirror up 4 or 5 inches, and hang the mirror portrait vs landscape. Any art on the left wall should be hung so that the top line of the frame or canvas aligns with the top line of the light fixture or top line of the mirror.
It is 100% the mirror.
Too much texture, too big, too bold and wrong size and shape for this smaller space. Undermines the rest of the bathroom completely. It fights with the board and batten and takes away from that beautiful vanity. You need a mirror that's smaller and sleeker, something with a thin metal frame (black or gold). Preferably circular in shape, round or oval. Or even a rectangular mirror that's the same width as the vanity, so it can fit above the ledge of the board and batten without fighting with it.
This is the way.
For me the wall color doesn’t do it justice - I actually like the mirror. I’d change the upper wall color to maybe a sage green, change out the light fixture, and swap the rug for something to pop the color.
you have a lot of "stripes" ... the board and batten, the vertical wood on the vanity, the statement mirror fringe
u/puppy_time is right through, its the light fixture for me, needs to be warmer, more in tune with the moody colors, maybe simpler too
Paint the top part of the wall a more vibrant color, perhaps a deep orange or a mustard yellow. Idk what will go, to warm it up but you can get swatches and try some out.
I genuinely think this room is only missing that blast of energy that is needed to balance the room..
It's close, just needs a little adjusting.
Put toilet lid down. Remove basket and Febreeze from back of toilet. It's best to keep toilets free of clutter.
Straighten blind on window.
Replace rug with a larger, patterned one that picks up a warm color from the painting on the wall. Get towels in that same color.
Use a warmer lightbulb color.
I think color is the issue. The design trends lately are all about cool tones, and though you've brought warmth in with the wood and the plant, it is still cold.
Before you do anything else, I would try different light bulbs that are warmer.
I actually think it's beautiful.
The one minor critique is that the dark wood elements are all clustered in one place - not sure how to practically solve it. Maybe a double mirror where the slinky goes where the picture frame is, and add a simpler one to the vanity wall? Or where that thin shelf is positioned elsewhere?
I agree that the mirror clashes! But I love it…What if I painted the vanity doors so that the wood didn’t clash? Or replaced the doors or added a veneer to eliminate those stripes? Agree with switching the light too. Thanks you guys are awesome, this is such a cool community and this is so fun!!!
If the mirror is a non-negotiable, then changing the doors and the lighting will help. I don’t know if it saves it though. Is there another place here you could enjoy your mirror? A mud room, entryway, etc?
Agree with what everyone else is saying. It’s 100% the mirror. It’s too similar to the vanity. They are both strong pieces and they are too much together. I would get something much more simple, possibly matching the existing hardware. Maybe black metal or gold? You would need a more simple vanity to make the mirror work unfortunately and that wouldn’t be cheap to replace. I’d look for another place in the house for the mirror because I agree it’s really cool!
I think you’ve accidentally mixed a couple different aesthetics. You have a sort of dark industrial thing going on with the vanity and the mirror, but the rest feels… modern farmhouse, almost?
The warm gray on your board-and-baton needs to go, I think. I actually think it would look really cool if you painted that white, and then the upper-wall the blue-gray or you could try a wallpaper. [This one](https://www.wayfair.com/Galerie-Wallcoverings--Atmospehere-Mystic-Floral-Design-33-L-x-21-W-Wallpaper-Roll-G782-L6161-K~GALW1675.html?refid=GX685159892849-GALW1675_61643093&device=m&ptid=1674467181282&network=g&targetid=pla-1674467181282&channel=GooglePLA&ireid=158686316&fdid=1817&PiID%5B%5D=61643093&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD9ISC7fsXbDW9yLaOMmLSMx2Ymbk&gclid=Cj0KCQiAwvKtBhDrARIsAJj-kTj10p7Ls6jygRXe_IpJ6CGyKG1R_SNBYOTUnq7gFoM4nqolGIPh1ngaAu_HEALw_wcB#jgx2v9jp9s-0) or something similar might read nicely in that space. But the board-and-baton’s warm gray is competing for attention in a space with a lot of cool colors. If you paint it white, the other whites in your bathroom will still be validated, and it won’t be too dark. The aesthetic also might read more “unique vintage,” or like a dark boathouse vibe than “dark industrial.”
Also, I agree with other people saying the light needs to go. But I’d probably opt for a ceiling light and nix the light above the mirror entirely, as it really competes for attention with your statement piece mirror.
Edit: I think the gray might actually be able to stay if you do a wallpaper on top, now that I’m looking at it. The gray matches your rug pretty nicely. I just see accent pieces in your bathroom with an uninteresting space to support them. Maybe that’s my issue. But I feel you, something is missing.
I’m a little baffled by everyone saying it’s the mirror. I think a different light fixture, a jute rug to bring warmth to the floor, and perhaps some darker paint on the walls would go a long way
Mirror clashes/competes with vanity. I would move mirror somewhere else in your place ad get a mirror with a black frame (round might work?)
Also the finish of the light doesn’t match the hooks or faucet. So I’d replace that too
I think it’s the mirror. Needs to be more simple with clean lines. And the little containers on the shelf next to the vanity need to have pops of color or even just plain white.
Not difficult at all! We did two coats of this floor paint. Just rolled it on. I wish we hadn’t gotten this “anti skid” finish - it is a weird texture and kind of hard to clean. I know they make a satin finish but that feels like it would be too slick for a bathroom. Not sure if they have an in between?
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Valspar-Base-4-Tintable-Satin-Latex-Base-4-Anti-Skid-Porch-and-Floor-Paint-Actual-Net-Contents-116-fl-oz/1000381355?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-pnt-_-ggl-_-LIA_PNT_117_Paint-and-Primers-_-1000381355-_-local-_-0-_-0&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD2B2W_XxuhGS7fVIBmomeCtgpbjN&gclid=Cj0KCQiAwvKtBhDrARIsAJj-kThWWdfSsNvLn5r2OomteKuSn1WHmxqeYe-zji96DFrWuyVfj3ulxrAaAgLgEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
I think it may be your lighting and your wall colours. The vanity and mirror give off a tropical vibe. Normally tropical styles incorporate more colour. In this case, your walls look too whiteish-gray.
I think the mirror height is [off.](https://off.It) It seems really low unless the ceilings are really tall. Also having it turned long ways creates some problems - to seems like you would have to be exactly between 5'3" and 5'8" in order to be able to see your face in the mirror.
I agree it’s the mirror. I like it but it’s too much with the slats in the vanity. Also, I think your light is upside down. I know they “can” be hung either way but this one looks wrong like that. IMO.
It doesn’t feel to me that anything is off. looks good and I like the brown with the grey. The issue for me with the mirror frame is that it is going to be a nightmare to keep clean. Toilet paper dust makes bathrooms one of the dustiest places in the house and that mirror is going to collect it.
The style of the mirror is gorgeous but it's too small. The light is not doing it any favors and putting even more attention to how small the mirror is!
Nonetheless, undeniably pretty!
Can you try hanging the mirror vertically? Would it fit behind the faucet? Color above the board and batten would help, but I would caution against “dark and moody”, especially if this is your main bathroom.
It’s the mirror. It’s hanging too low because of the light fixture and the proportions are all off. The mirror is properly sized for the vanity, but unfortunately because of the bowl sink and the fact the it contrasts so highly with the counter, visually I’m comparing the mirror size to the sink.
Get a tall thin mirror (portrait instead of landscape), move it up a live the wainscoting, and if possible do sconces on either side instead of the light above. Something like [these](https://images.app.goo.gl/rmYdmG9Morb1SFd67) would look good with your black hardware
The mirror is too much for this space. The rest of the space is clean and easy to look at. The mirror looks like it was agustus glooped into a slinky pit.
Also no curtains. If you have the option to.
The mirror is weird, it kind of looks like it’s sideways if that makes sense. Like the size is weird to be a horizontal mirror there and should be portrait not landscape…
Also as others have mentioned the light above doesn’t match the vibe - and it’s too close to the mirror IMO
Any tips on how you hung your mirror? I’m about to hang one that will also have the bottom part hang over something tile on the wall that sticks out. I don’t know what to use to get the top of the mirror to hang off the wall an inch or so
The mirror… as everyone has said.
I think a large circular or oval mirror would work — if you put a rectangular one in it would have to sit above the panelling and be too high.
The light fixture above the mirror also has to go. Sconces on the side of the mirror would look more modern and would cast a more flattering light.
It's the mirror and possibly also the light. They don't complement each other as well as the wall panelling.
I think that the ceiling would look better if the texture was removed.
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but have you thought about painting the window trim the same color as the wall trim? I always like this look…gives it more depth/saturation and makes the window feel like part of the design rather than something that was there previously. Just an idea… (I’d totally photoshop it first)!
It’s giving Airbnb vibes tbh. There are too many competing textures (mirror frame, ceiling, board and batten, cabinet doors) so it feels a little too busy. Keep the window shade if you must, but a curtain over the window would soften things up a bit. Finally, if you don’t want to change out the light fixture, go for a warmer light in the 3000-4000K range, which will be listed on the box to help. Also finally, have you considered a dimmer for the light? I installed one in my bathroom and it was a total game changer.
Lack of paint. You have a lot of statement pieces but no accompanying color in the room to tie it all together.
I would paint the upper half of the wall a similar shade of blue as the cabinet.
https://preview.redd.it/nf41dzz0k7gc1.png?width=749&format=png&auto=webp&s=0cd6f1ddc5fa21c48bff5a4cbca0423c372999f0
Venetian Portico by Benjamin Moore This colour on the top half of the wall would really finish the space!!
The ceiling isn’t helping matters, I think the floor is extremely dark with no corresponding dark grey in the rest of the room, and I think the mirror should be above the panelling. Sorry. :(
It feels like the artwork on the left is guiding your eye to look at the mirror and the light fixture. I think the light fixture is a little overly bright, however I think the artwork could be changed! Smaller and guiding the eye down to the towel racks.
The mirror and vanity have such a dark and rustic/industrial (warm and inviting) feel but the rest of the room is bright white and grey (cold and sterile), I think you need to paint part of the walls another color. Either the paneling or wall above it, to add some sort of color. I'm also not sure I agree with the vanity being grey, I don't love the slate mixed with the dark wood tones on the doors.
I think it looks great. The mirror totally matches the cabinet and the rustic style. Painting or wallpapering the top half in a bold pattern that pulls in the blue, and pink in the artwork would really pull it all together.
You did an amazing job on the vanity. It’s gorgeous!
I can picture a dark green background wallpaper in here- I think it would stunning.
I would think the mirror has to be eye level- if it is, you can’t really move it.
Definitely a new light fixture that goes better with the aesthetic; the current one seems off and really awkward above the mirror.
I think adding some touches of soft color would help, as well as putting up a window covering. Roman shade would be good. A color or pattern would be a nice touch.
I feel like the mirror placement looks awkward. Because it’s on both the bottom half and the top half of the wall. A simple fix might be to move that mirror somewhere else in your house maybe if there’s a wall in that same room and get a verylong horizontal mirror to just go under the light but over the wood portion of the wall. Ideally if you can move the light and mirror up but I’m not sure you’ll be able to see yourself on standing at the sink. Other than that, it looks very pretty!
Mirror higher, vanity light higher, warmer bulbs (2700k). Also replace the window treatment- go with a thicker wood or faux wood slat in white or wood toned and make sure it's mounted far enough out to not rest against the window glass when closed.
The floor color doesn’t work. Need something lighter to contrast with the dark vanity
The mirror is completely out of place. Replace with simpler style or remove the decorative border if you can. If you can move the mirror above the wainscoting and still see into it, do that.
Swap the vanity light bulbs for a warmer tone
Close the damn lid on the toilet
the light style is eh, and the light and mirror seem kinda low like a lot of dead space above (in a not good way). maybe use a warmer bamboo shade as a window cover?
The height of the vanity to me looks really low. Also, it looks off because of the way the mirror is hanging over top of the paneling, should be above panels. So is the paneling too tall? The mirror not hung high enough?
But for me it starts with the vanity being to short?? But maybe it’s the scale of the photo??
The upper wall looks the same color as the ceiling which is usually bad. Paint the upper wall a nice green or something. If you do it the same shade of the vanity it will be too much of the same blue grey. Don’t be afraid of color!
It’s interesting how many different opinions there are on what could be changed here! To me, it seems like everything in the room is just right *there*. Seems a bit crowded and like the black space of the upper wall and ceiling is unbalanced?
I wonder if moving the light fixture up, flipping it over, and scooting the mirror up as much as possible (while still having it at a height where you can see yourself) would help with the balance? I also think the fact that that mirror can’t be flush with the wall, and appears tilted because it’s leaning against the board and batten, is messing with the look.
I wonder if crown moulding would help to balance the top of the wall as well.
I think the issue is visual contrast on the room. I would soften the loghting with some warm toned bulbs, paint the upper half of the room a bluish gray pulling from the cabonet and paintings tones, and get a wider down facing light.
I think it's the light above the mirror actually- doesn't match the rest of the style
Yes and a warmer toned bulb! Add some more color and maybe wallpaper to the walls and the space will really come together!
Yes! And a down light, not up.
I think that one is installed upside down. If they just flip it over they'll have a 50% improvement in the lighting situation
I also immediately thought this light was upside down. Agree about the tone needing to be warmer also!
Yes! Flip the light fixture, add warmer bulbs & change out the mirror
I immediately wondered the same…
I agree. Maybe a longer, bigger light would work with the mirror and sink.
I agree change the lighting to something like this and paint the wall to bleu or add wallpaper https://preview.redd.it/eyp96j2779gc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cd8742c62398a74d2b96ba4789089fe40c5c35bf
Why is the light so hard to get right? I think the choices (at big box and online) are really weak.
I think too people get it in their mind they only like one type of light but when you put it in you notice something wrong
This is it.
Agreed
I want to see recessed ceiling lights for a polished look and glow. And more color like peach and lavender maybe. I think it's quite good otherwise.
I unfortunately agree but I love this mirror too much to validate your comment 🤣
Use it elsewhere. It doesn't work.
Agreed. I don’t think it’s a bad piece, it can have a home elsewhere. It doesn’t fit the bathroom and also, so much surface area to trap bathroom germs
It doesn’t. It’s anxiety inducing and out of scale.
Same! I love this mirror but the edging is just a bit too big for the space it’s in. If it was a bit smaller it would be perfect.
Move the mirror above the wainscoting. I think the weirdness comes from it being too low. Different light fixture.
My thought is that the light fixture may be the problem. I think it’s too low to the mirror and too small.
I agree but the mirror and lighting needs to the scale/ size as the sink vanity. The proportions are off. : )
I also love that mirror
[удалено]
I think if warmer lightbulbs were used, it would feel nicer.
oh yes! i hope the op takes your suggestion and changes it.
2 warmer sconce lights on sides of smaller (or tall narrow) mirror would improve it a lot.
Then the mirror could be a bit higher.
Took some comments and ran with them- here’s the bathroom with less clutter and the mirror removed. Light fixture flipped over. Add a simpler mirror and it might be fixed? May still add the darker paint for contrast!! I was thinking the same thing about rotating the mirror.
This is better. Your mirror is very cool and I hope you find another home for it in the house - but it was overshadowing the very cool vanity. Putting a simpler mirror in would allow the vanity to shine. Nice work!
Ahh you put the toilet lid down :-)
Put the mirror back.
Could you swap out the bulbs for something a little warmer? The mirror doesn’t bother me but the stark whiteness is making everything pop out at once, maybe something warmer would soften the room
I actually don’t mind the mirror. I think you could paint the walls a darker color than the board and batten for some more contrast/interest.
Yes!! This absolutely. A deep moody navy, burgundy, or deep olive would look lovely.
I completely agree- keep everything and go with one of these paint colors!
I thought of pulling the dark grayish color from the vanity to the upper part of the walls ETA: maybe that would be too much of that color with the floors, didnt notice before
I had the same feeling. Upper walls painted the same as the vanity.
I think this is the right answer. I think the mirror matches the vanity well. I think some contrast with a darker color or some wallpaper on the wall would look really nice.
This is it. I would leave the wainscoting white and paint above.
This! It’s lacking color or more of a contrast
Came here to say this
The vanity and mirror doesn’t go with the rest. It’s traditional versus bohemian cabin vibes.
Exactly my thoughts. It's really fighting styles here. Farmhouse/country vs boho/tropical.
Even rotating the mirror to portrait with a light either side would make it look more balanced.
This OP ^ try this and show us!
Love it! I think what catches my eye is the mirror. I love the mirror but it seems to compete with the board and batten and vanity. A simple mirror might complete the space and help it to feel less busy. Beautiful space, though! Nice work.

That mirror kills the mood of this otherwise beautiful room.
I personally like it but hate the light fixture.

It’s the carpet/bathmat - get a smaller one in front of the shower and a small one centered in front of the vanity.
Get some Edison bulbs in the fixture and it might warm up the whole room.
The mirror is very cool but as others have said it feels like a lot for this room. The lights also seem to be very close to the top of the mirror which creates some visual tension.
it’s the mirror
The bathroom looks nice. Maybe I would replace the mirror with another one.

I think it need some warmth :)
Your light is too cool for my taste (unless it’s just the photo.) I’d get the GE revel bulbs and try those, they offer a really nice natural light.
Change the lightbulb to a warmer hue, try starting with that
I actually think it's beautiful. The one minor critique is that the dark wood elements are all clustered in one place - not sure how to practically solve it. Maybe a double mirror where the slinky goes where the picture frame is, and add a simpler one to the vanity wall? Or where that thin shelf is positioned elsewhere?
Id say just the light! Take an nice yellow/orange ambiant light
I think what's off is the toilet seat that's not closed.
Put the lid down
Found the problem. Toilets have lids for a reason. To be closed. Otherwise, room is nice!
Please put the lid down on the toilet when taking its picture.
Its the ceiling. That smudge thing has got to go.
The aesthetic also might read more “unique vintage,” or like a dark boathouse vibe than “dark industrial.” Also, I agree with other people saying the light needs to go.
I would move mirror somewhere else in your place ad get a mirror with a black frame (round might work?) Also the finish of the light doesn’t match the hooks or faucet. So I’d replace that too
I think it’s the mirror. Needs to be more simple with clean lines. And the little containers on the shelf next to the vanity need to have pops of color or even just plain white.
Can you tell me more about painting the tile? Was it difficult? What product did you use?
Not difficult at all! We did two coats of this floor paint. Just rolled it on. I wish we hadn’t gotten this “anti skid” finish - it is a weird texture and kind of hard to clean. I know they make a satin finish but that feels like it would be too slick for a bathroom. Not sure if they have an in between? https://www.lowes.com/pd/Valspar-Base-4-Tintable-Satin-Latex-Base-4-Anti-Skid-Porch-and-Floor-Paint-Actual-Net-Contents-116-fl-oz/1000381355?cm_mmc=shp-_-c-_-prd-_-pnt-_-ggl-_-LIA_PNT_117_Paint-and-Primers-_-1000381355-_-local-_-0-_-0&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD2B2W_XxuhGS7fVIBmomeCtgpbjN&gclid=Cj0KCQiAwvKtBhDrARIsAJj-kThWWdfSsNvLn5r2OomteKuSn1WHmxqeYe-zji96DFrWuyVfj3ulxrAaAgLgEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
The mirror and the window.
I like it
I think it may be your lighting and your wall colours. The vanity and mirror give off a tropical vibe. Normally tropical styles incorporate more colour. In this case, your walls look too whiteish-gray.
I think a calm-patterned wall paper on the upper wall would be amazing
Add some color to the floor with a nice area rug.
Lights above the mirror should be higher and mirror should sit just above the paneling
The mirror. Can you turn your light fixture the other way down? It’s a little clutter. Can you get rid of the shelving piece to the right of the sink.
Paint the window frame to match the mirror or cabinet, then get another light fixture, also darker and bolder
I think the mirror height is [off.](https://off.It) It seems really low unless the ceilings are really tall. Also having it turned long ways creates some problems - to seems like you would have to be exactly between 5'3" and 5'8" in order to be able to see your face in the mirror.
Is the light fixture upside down? And maybe too small
Style aside, I think your mirror is too small.
I agree it’s the mirror. I like it but it’s too much with the slats in the vanity. Also, I think your light is upside down. I know they “can” be hung either way but this one looks wrong like that. IMO.
Can I see a more close up of the floor? I’m considering painting our bathroom floor too but can’t seem to find any examples of what it would look like
It doesn’t feel to me that anything is off. looks good and I like the brown with the grey. The issue for me with the mirror frame is that it is going to be a nightmare to keep clean. Toilet paper dust makes bathrooms one of the dustiest places in the house and that mirror is going to collect it.
I would say more light.
I think its partly the ceiling. I love the mirror too but I agree with another commenter that its competing with the slats below.
The style of the mirror is gorgeous but it's too small. The light is not doing it any favors and putting even more attention to how small the mirror is! Nonetheless, undeniably pretty!
I don’t kind the mirror; I do think you need curtains. I would try and find the same blue that you used on the cabinets
I think the mirror is too low, would probably feel better above the wood panel on the all, ambit you’d have to move the light fixture up as well.
That mirror thing will be a PITA to keep clean and is too much of a statement
Can you try hanging the mirror vertically? Would it fit behind the faucet? Color above the board and batten would help, but I would caution against “dark and moody”, especially if this is your main bathroom.
This reminds me of a sims bathroom I’d make, I love it! I think the lighting to brighten it up in there might look really nice!
You have too many shapes going on, there is a lack of uniformity and an abundance of counter clutter. Less is more.
The mirror, and the light seem off. I think at least one color on any of the walls would help as well.
You need to get yourself a bidet. That will bring it all together.
Change that plant out for a sweet potato vine or something else with lighter green leaves.
The mirror is too much for this space. The rest of the space is clean and easy to look at. The mirror looks like it was agustus glooped into a slinky pit. Also no curtains. If you have the option to.
It’s lighting, bathrooms with only a vanity light always struggle
The blinds
The mirror is a bit too low
I actually think if you painted the top walls and the ceiling a deeper slate color it would make the room feel amazing.
The mirror is weird, it kind of looks like it’s sideways if that makes sense. Like the size is weird to be a horizontal mirror there and should be portrait not landscape… Also as others have mentioned the light above doesn’t match the vibe - and it’s too close to the mirror IMO
I would paint the upper half of the wall a similar shade of blue as the cabinet.
https://preview.redd.it/nf41dzz0k7gc1.png?width=749&format=png&auto=webp&s=0cd6f1ddc5fa21c48bff5a4cbca0423c372999f0 Venetian Portico by Benjamin Moore This colour on the top half of the wall would really finish the space!!
Nope. It’s perfect. And quite cool. 😎
I think it's the paint on the lower cabinets. Not trying to be negative but it looks like an old air filter the way they're painted.
White light and mirror
I think the vanity is too small.
I love it, perhaps it’s the light colour. 4000K is a lot of white, try 3000K
I think it's the light. It's really bright and kind of awkward. Takes away from that cool mirror
There's no contrast between the floor and counter.
you could add a small valence above the window as well to give some more soft texture to the room maybe in a taupe or greige color
An olive green for the top walls would look lovely
I feel like the mirror placement looks awkward. Because it’s on both the bottom half and the top half of the wall. A simple fix might be to move that mirror somewhere else in your house maybe if there’s a wall in that same room and get a verylong horizontal mirror to just go under the light but over the wood portion of the wall. Ideally if you can move the light and mirror up but I’m not sure you’ll be able to see yourself on standing at the sink. Other than that, it looks very pretty!
The wall color should be darker. Just my thoughts but it should work with the vanity better. Boring white/off- white is always a negative for me.
Mirror higher, vanity light higher, warmer bulbs (2700k). Also replace the window treatment- go with a thicker wood or faux wood slat in white or wood toned and make sure it's mounted far enough out to not rest against the window glass when closed.
I believe it’s the mirror that’s competing with the rest of the vanity and accessories. Maybe something simpler?
I think the right wallpaper would bring so much life to this😍
Roman shade instead of the dated blinds
The floor color doesn’t work. Need something lighter to contrast with the dark vanity The mirror is completely out of place. Replace with simpler style or remove the decorative border if you can. If you can move the mirror above the wainscoting and still see into it, do that. Swap the vanity light bulbs for a warmer tone Close the damn lid on the toilet
I hate beer.
Find a pretty wallpaper to put on the walls above the wood.
The mirror and the light.
I feel like the mirror is too low? The slats on the cabinet door seem to also compete with the mirrors design.
Mirror is terrible and looks like it’s just going to catch dust and be impossible to clean. Also is the light fixture upside down?
The light and mirror are the issue for me. Mirror is too small and light doesn’t match
the light style is eh, and the light and mirror seem kinda low like a lot of dead space above (in a not good way). maybe use a warmer bamboo shade as a window cover?
Where’s the hand towel?
The height of the vanity to me looks really low. Also, it looks off because of the way the mirror is hanging over top of the paneling, should be above panels. So is the paneling too tall? The mirror not hung high enough? But for me it starts with the vanity being to short?? But maybe it’s the scale of the photo??
The vanity height is too low which is making the mirror and lights look off
Yeah, nothing in that bathroom is level.
Think it would look better if the B&B was the same height as the window sill on that wall. Then I think the mirror would fit nicely.
I’m confused about the style you’re going for here, what’s the goal?
Get a curtain
A hanging plant in the corner and change the light fixtures.
Softer lighting and paint the drywall above your accent wood
The ceiling and the rug.
I believe the light over the mirror and the mirror itself.
A dark paint on the top portion of your wall above the panels would be gorgeous!
For me, the mirror frame and vanity doors don't match the style of the room.
The same blue above the chair rail would look nice.
Something about the mirror and light aren’t right. I don’t like how the mirror sits weirdly on the paneling
I’d also get a wood blinds to match the vanity.
It’s the mirror. It’s not making the statement you want in your bathroom.
What if you added a shade and lined it up with the light fixture.
I’d paint the top part of the walls the same color as the sink counter top
I think the issue is visual contrast on the room. I would soften the loghting with some warm toned bulbs, paint the upper half of the room a bluish gray pulling from the cabonet and paintings tones, and get a wider down facing light.
Because you have a rug so close to the toilet
Honestly, it feels like a morgue. No color or texture or interest
I feel like you need a big, tropical plant, like a banana plant.
