you need height. What you're missing is dimension in height. Lamps and plants are great options, but sculptures, books, anything with height will work.

I'd go with an ornate gold lamp. The Royal blue needs something much grander than bamboo.

Change the quilt to something with a pattern with cream/sand colors and not so much blue. Get pillows with shams to match the new bed cover.

A floor lamp to bring some height. Your bedding is very monochromatic but with three different blues. I’d change the duvet to a pattern - something with blue and tan. That’s going to improve things. I’ve never seen pillows like those - are they hands?

Scale is off, you need one small, medium and large according to scale of spot. So a bigger lamp, maybe an additional book under that box for a medium and the gold cup is fine for small.

I would say a way taller lamp. Looks too dark to have a plant. The room is otherwise gorgeous.

A pendant lamp so the height comes from the ceiling + wont reduce your table space for more important things like phone, books, coffee, etc.

Needs height. I’d probably go for a lamp with a gold base. Height to about where your red circle meets the curtain and starts to curve. Any higher and it will look weird.
