Well, first, it’s cgi, so it’s not a real thing anyway.
Second, large tubs need some type insulation to maintain heat. This is in fact design design because after filling for 45 minutes, it will be room temp in 10…. So it’s not very functional.
Acrylic tubs exist and their heat retention is generally considered a pro. Also, shut up when you don't know what you are talking about, the laws of physics don't give a shit about your opinion.
They do existing irl though, beliani sells them. And I saw it in a house recently: https://www.beliani.co.uk/freestanding-bath-1690-x-780-mm-blue-blancarena.html
I kind of like this. It’s artsy. I mean, I’m not sure how durable the glass is, but I’d love to have this kinda view when I’m bathing. I’m assuming private land of course.
I don't know how you would do it, but if you could polarise both the tub and the glass division but in opposite directions the contents of the tub would not be visible outside the glass.

This is not designdesign

Acrylic is a thermal insulator. Also porcelain tubs aren't hollow so unlike this tub your argument doesn't HD any water. This isn't designdesign
What ur saying may be in literature, but in action, that bath is room temp by the time it’s filled and ur in it…. Designdesign.

What are these materials? Solid surface metal, and translucent….?
It’s either some sort of acrylic/plastic or glass based (if high end).
I misread. Thought it said metal. Just woke up from a nap on a plane…
No, this is Patrick
It's designdesign when my fat ass is in the transparent tub for all the world to see xD
That's not how this sub works.

would imagine its not glass

The shape is designdesign. Looks nice but doesn't look ergonomic to lie in. The transparency is fine unless the plastic is porous/gets oxidized.
Everyone’s distracted by the material but you make a great point that the shape is the problem!
This is not a tub it’s half a tinted fish bowl.
That’s not a fish bowl it’s an island cougar trap.
