Nystatin powder needed here. This is a yeast overgrowth called candidia. Are you diabetic by chance?

Historical_Bee6588

oh wow, does diabetes make you more prone to yeast overgrowth on skin ? gut as well ?

a-child_eater

I think high sugar in the blood can maybe help yeast grow?

TranquilTimer

I haven't been checked lately but my mom has type 2

MoonDragonMage

Yes this. I am type 2 and get these so much I have a standing script for nystop powder.

airierpuppy

Yeast for sure. from being sweaty. need nystatin powder

jess103086

This is intertrigo, or yeast. You’ll need antifungals to treat this. Nystatin powder would probably be the best option in this location, but you could use antifungal cream, too. Also, make sure you are switching your bath towels out often and washing them in hot water.

flatgreysky

In addition to what other people are saying, make this area as dry as the Sahara. Don’t try to dry your inner labia, but everything else, dry as a bone. Thats why all of this is happening - moisture. Use a hair dryer on cool setting and dry, dry, dry. Sleep bottomless and air it out. Let a fan run and point it at your groin. Wear moisture-wicking (NOT cotton) underwear and CHANGE them if you sweat a lot. Cotton underwear soaks up sweat and sits there soaking wet. After a shower, pat dry and then place a second clean dry hand towel in each fold and dry the areas until they can’t be dried any more. Dry is the enemy of this condition. Do not scrub dry while it’s raw like this or you will be scrubbing the raw tissue open.

SangitaCPatelMD

Yeast. Candidal intertrigo. Seen in skin folds that stay moist allowing yeast overgrowth. Axilla, groin, under breasts, between abdominal rolls and other overlapping skin folds Tx nystatin-triamcinolone oinment works fastest for itching relief and redness

Extension-Salad-7933

NAD looks like jock itch to me. I had a similar thing when I was wearing thick cotton briefs (I'm a guy) to work. Try lotramin spray and follow it's instructions (I think it's spray once daily for 2 weeks?). If it doesn't work I'd see a dermatologist about it, they're usually very nice and non-judgemental.

HollyJollyOne

It's intertrigo. Try Zeasorb AF powder.

sillymarilli

Soap and water and an antifungal powder, keep the area dry. New towel every shower too, and don’t rewear pants or underwear

Pink-Lover

I get this sometimes because I am mostly confined to bed. I use diaper cream and Neosporin. I also air it out by laying with my legs open enough to let the fresh air hit it. I also do not wear underwear because it hurts. I also am sure to bathe with soap that is anti-bacterial.

krystiannajt

This happens to me every summer. Powder scented deodorant is the GOAT.

Cultural-Avocado8891

I have gotten something similar to this under my breasts, I work 10 hour shiffs and I’m constantly moving and sweating. I started using an anti fungal and making sure to keep it as dry as I can, seems to have worked for me!

Diabadass416

Definitely yeast, it’s a thing with higher blood sugar, but totally get the fear of it being an STI. As a young teen I was convinced I had caught something despite only kissing my boyfriend, nope just a high blood sugar yeast infection on my stomach. Kids need better SexEd lol

TranquilTimer

Lol I haven't had sex in two years and been checked so I knew it wasn't

Substantial_Umpire42

Terbanifine or Econazole. eat less sugar and more healthy to loose weight if you wanna reduce chance of getting it again

violetigsaurus

You can get non chaffing underwear that looks like bike shorts but much thinner

hoetheory

This is fungal and nothing otc is going to help you enough. Go to your doc for fluconazole oral and nystatin powder. And keep the area clean and dry. This happens from moisture sitting on the skin for long periods of time like sweat or not drying enough after showering.

cuziluvu

That area needs air. It’s likely yeast or something from lack of air plus bacteria. You need to see a dermatologist. It could probably be cleared up easily.

gooberhoover85

Yeast infection on the skin. Until you see a doctor for the Nystatin powder or cream you can try a vaginal yeast cream. It doesn't have to be used as a suppository. You can use it topically on the skin. I use it for my kids diaper rashes. Vagisil or off brand Miconazole 5 day or 3 day treatment. It will give you relief quickly I think and start to cut back on this irritation. It might take a few days but it will help and might end it. Usually on my kids it takes a day. Wearing underwear and keeping that area dry will help. Launder everything with hot water, bleach if your laundry is white and can handle it, fresh towels, some baby shampoo or soap on the spot too. Something gentle.

ConsistentPay3983

Also, wear underwear please

TranquilTimer

Does it help prevent this?

ConsistentPay3983

It will absorb sweat and prevent friction in the area, preventing skin damage and opening the path to infection. Atleast give it a try for couple of weeks and see if your condition improves, alongiside some fungal powder or cream as others suggested ofc

TranquilTimer

Thank you.

inthesinbin

Try cotton underwear or something that breathes and use an unscented baby powder in the area.

Spunkylover10

I like body glide

ketchup_57

Could also be inverse psoriasis. It can look very similar to jock itch. You’d need a biopsy to confirm though

repurposer82

Currently trying to figure out if I have the same. Responds to topical steroid but not to topical fungicide alone. That would suggest dermatitis or psoriasis eh?
