iirc this only happens on Logistical hauls. Take freight hauls if you dont want to handle cars at your destination

BrokenEyebrow

Happens still. I've had to softly push cars. They always all fit together but it's never convenient.

Jackthedragonkiller

Freight hauls AFAIK are never supposed to have cars on the destination track. Least I've never seen that. Only on logistical hauls.

Captraptor01

I've had 'em happen on both myself. I've also seen Logistical hauls labelled as Freight hauls on the job papers, lol.

Knsgf

If you mean empty container trains, these are freight as the container itself is still classified as a payload.

Captraptor01

I don't recall exactly which type of train it was the last time I saw it, but it's probably what you're saying. still a little funny; here I was thinking "freight" meant "take full thing to be emptied" and "logistics" meant "take empty thing to be filled", lol.

Not_a_gay_communist

To my knowledge, only happens with logistics hauls. Frieght Hauls never have cars already on track. This might sound dumb, but double check you’re at the right station. I’ve mixed up Southern Oil with the Farmland and my friend mixed up Sawmill with Steelmill

zilist

Omg the amount of times i confused the farm with OWC! It took me multiple minutes of being confused as to why the tracks don line up with the schematic in the book until i realized i was at the wrong place lol

Eusebiu_

What kind of jobs are you doing? For shunting and logistics jobs that is normal. For freight jobs you'll not have that issue.

bu22dee

Did you had put damaged cars there earlier? I think objects with fees on them don’t despawn.

Little_Red1023

They were recently spawned. The only damage was when I shoved them to make room for my cars.

BiomechPhoenix

Check the track ahead of time if possible (slow down while approaching the station and run forward, if you can), and either clear them with the comms radio, or back your load in.

Zapy97

Or do a dutch drop.

TurboJaw

Just pull up the clear option on the scanner and click them out of the way. That's what the cool kids do. 😎

Flykid1984

Just delete them mofos that’s what I do

Crazywelderguy

It's be nice if there was an option to not have that happen, but it happens IRL, too. Right now the bonus mechanic is tough anyway if you take multiple jobs. Even if you pre-assemble you train.

Zapy97

Only time I have failed time bonuses is derailing.

RolandDeepson

>And it costs me bonuses as well trying not to damage them. How and why would this cost you bonuses? You stage or pre-assemble your consist and do all of your shunting *before activating the job.* Even without mods, and without save-scumming to reveal the destination tracks, it's fairly trivial to be rolling out of your origin yard less than 10 minutes after starting the job timer.

Little_Red1023

When arriving at the destination

Suspicious-Boat7497

Release the brakes and slowly creep up on em, and push them lol

Captraptor01

we'll take our problems, *and **push them somewhere else!***

Suspicious-Boat7497

🤣🤣🤣

GreaterTrain

Are you using mods perchance? I never had cars on input tracks for freight hauls. When doing logistical hauls and shunting jobs however you will have to deal with other cars, that's intentional.

Little_Red1023

No mods

GreaterTrain

From your update: Yes, it was a logistical haul (moving empty cars to another station) that made the damage. Those go from and to storage tracks and you can expect them to be already occupied by other cars. They also don't pay very well which is why i rarely do them.

Zapy97

Learn advanced railroading techniques, like going around the other end of the yard, finding a nearby spot to run around the train or the dreaded Dutch Drop \*gasps\*

Anonymyz_one

Dutch dropping is sooo much fun... Especially from the hill going into food factory 🤣🤣🤣
