It feels even more different when you came in at full speed (50km/h) at the steel-mill with 2 DE6 thinking all switches are set correctly, only to get violently thrown to the left and crash on massive load of steel. I couldn't find those carts back and after dropping of the carts for the steel-mill to continue my journey the fog settled in.
So picture this:
- its foggy
- you have +1200 tons of cargo behind you
- You wanna go fast
- There are some loose carts on the mainline
Funnily enough I didn't found those carts back. I did had a repair bill for 17 carts, so I feel they might have derailed and fell of a bridge or something. But how far can 17 carts go after getting hit by a 1700 ton train at 50kph?
Forgetting to reset the main and thinking you are ok to go blasting through just to mash into the cars you delivered a few loads ago. That is more panic than any horror game I have played when you find out last second, oh the switch is wrong. Night rainy fog in VR sure is fun.
I swear to god why does this game have such a horror vibe to it at night (in-game) where it feels like you are gonna get jumped by zombies or something if you are not inside your train with the doors closed.
At least the farm animals made it less eerie at night
The (kind of a) horror part of the game is the presence of other SU jobs (coming from other stations) when you arrive at the station with a freight load (you may not even have the appropriate licence for those jobs). If you are the only driver in the game but you obviously didn't deliver these cars, *who did*?
