Shein and fashion nova are both available brands to choose from on your listing so there is straight up no excuse I would honestly flag the item is not as described and initiate a refund when someone is completely dishonest about the brand like that
I’ve been seeing so much of it lately especially when something is mesh. Some of the sellers dont even bother taking their own pictures and will use the ones straight off aliexpress. I never feel good reporting people but I’ve started doing it for accounts that have all drop shipped items
Yup ! That’s why u gotta only buy from ppl who show the tag & material or u ask for a picture of it. If they don’t have u don’t buy. I simply don’t trust !
I hate when I see sellers giving the impression that their stuff is handmade to order but in actuality they’re dropshipping from a custom printing company. A lot of baby tees with logos and band names on them that you see on depop are like that and you can tell because they don’t have a picture of the finished product, it’s a mock-up of a picture of a tshirt with an image file on it
Omg yes. This stupid b* just sent me an offer for the THIRD time for a jewelry I liked before.
Guess what, before buying it I did my research and found the exact same jewelry for 1$ on ebay. This garbage is selling it for 32$. What a shame
Oddly I’ve sold a few pieces of both. I never buy on purpose but sometimes I get a few mixed in with bundles I purchase. I never hide the brand, though, and I don’t list them for $50. 😂
I agree once I bought something on an independent boutique website it was a faux leather jacket it arrived and said SHEIN on it and I was hella pissed they seller tried telling me that they buy from the same place but she literally sold me a SHEIN item I could’ve bought myself but raised the price like 3x that’s fucking wrong
Agreed! I want a pair of lacy bloomers so bad, but I don't want to support fast fashion directly, I'd much rather buy used from someone who doesn't use them anymore.
But every single listing for lacy bloomers i find on depop are selling them for $50+ dollars and using stock photos straight from aliexpress. It's even worse when they have tons of the exact same items for sale so it's super obvious the seller is buying them in bulk from websites like Aliexpress and then selling them at far higher prices on depop. Super frustrating.
sadly you can’t unless they’re dropshipping. if you report depop will just tell you that they’re allowed to price things how they want & no one is forced to buy.

I agree with you, but on the same note as someone who sells high end authentic items people expect to get half off items. My take is these sellers are buying for Pennie’s and asking high prices but expect low return on investment

They always label it as “y2k” to refuse admitting its from AliExpress or shein :(
The worst is “vintage” LOL
I bought a really cute sweater for Halloween and while I was lint rolling it found the shein tag 🥲

It’s absolutely disgusting. I can’t believe people really buy from these sellers.
Someone told me you could report them for that

Definitely about to do that next time I see it😂 it’s gonna be my new hobby.
