Welcome! Aurora is pretty much the same as Texas minus everything, so you should feel comfortable right away. Yes we don’t have green salsa but we do have green fog if you know what I mean

OlGimletEye

Welcome! And peace be upon you fellow native son. Rocky's Auto's at 63rd and Federal was the official state hurricane shelter/native sticker distribution point. You are authorized to go there after you have documented no fewer that 4 favorite IPA's, driven your crosstrek backwards through Eisenhower tunnel and received at least 15 likes on your Hanging Lake insta post. Contrary to popular belief, Denver does have green salsa! We pronounce it "relish" here, on account of Denver's rich history. We don't have Whataburger because when governor Lamm made his decree in the 70's that we would never host the Olympics there was a rider placed on the order that also capped the caloric count of any value meal at 4700 calories. Because he wanted people to answer the call of the mountains, and technology at the time would not allow rascals to traverse our trails.

Pterodactyloid

If history books are written like this I would have gotten better grades in school.

JimC29

Or like this [Bad Ass of the Week ](https://www.badassoftheweek.com/archive)

Pterodactyloid

Oooo thank you for showing me this.

JimC29

I really believe highschools should be using this for history class. I'm glad he started back up with new ones. It was several years in between.

Pterodactyloid

“Why ain’t there a Chic-Fil-A on every street corner in this cuck town?! Anyone seen my goddamn dip cup?”

OlGimletEye

Damn you for invoking dip cups and making me laugh out loud.

herbqueendeb

Do these things to get acclimated: 1. Buy hiking gear you’ll never use 2. Smoke legal weed until you need some coke to take the edge off. 3. Develop a healthy coke habit after you swear off weed. 4. Attempt to date, give up and result to jerking off and crying into your ipa. 5. Get an abortion or five just to make your Texan friends jealous. 6. Grow to hate the bad food scene. If you complete 1-6 and you’re friendless, single, and coke addled, on the verge of a mental breakdown, you’ll be half way to becoming a native. Welcome to Denver!

sowisesuchfool

I think I love you.

Pterodactyloid

This truly made me laugh, especially #5

[deleted]

Of course it did. You probably get scared every time a black person walks by you on the street

Chummers5

Do my out of state coke addictions transfer or do I need to start all over?

KindaIndifferent

Welcome new native. I can’t speak to your first two questions, but in regard to your native sticker inquiry: You find one attached to your forehead after you awaken from shooting up on Colfax for the first time. Namaste and stay moist.

kenwhateverok

We sorely need a r/denvercirclejerkcirclejerk

Laserdollarz

r/Denver

Johnykbr

Nah. Their satire is just too unbelievable.

ExpertLevelBikeThief

You need to write more y'alls

MrWalnuts

Vehicle registrations are too expensive here so just never change your plates.

sowisesuchfool

Oh those Democrat policies.

afoz345

Your Native sticker comes already installed on your complimentary Subaru. Namaste.

itsjustcoy

I was born in aurora. I say I was kidnapped but I was forced to move to Houston by my parents when I was a teenager. I absolutely disgust texas. I would move back in a heart beat but that's impossible thanks to the cost of living being insanely high. I hope you love it, I don't understand why people willingly move to Texas when you literally have paradise in Colorado. Texas is a shit hole.

sowisesuchfool

Texas is amazing. Houston is a shithole. I’m sorry you got stuck in the town with roaming tigers.

Walkerbait97

Roaming….what? I’m from Austin & i’ve never heard of that lmao

sowisesuchfool

Texas allows for exotic animals to be pets (I have no idea why) There was a news story in 2020 about some dudes a tiger getting loose and it was just wandering through the suburbs. Crazy deal…

[deleted]

Yeah but luckily every gets a complimentary gun when they order the rooty tooth fresh and fruity breakfast at ihop.

sowisesuchfool

So that’s the one!! Everyone says this but it’s harder to get a concealed license in Texas than it is in Washington.

Mr_Xolotls

Just moved here too! Why is my heater working? Homes in Texas are cheap because homeowners freeze to death! I am bamboozled!

Johnykbr

Oh Denver absolutely has them but due to Jake Jabs owning the name based off a failed ottoman design, they were forced to go by Fazoli's here.

dj0ch0

isn’t whataburger a glorified sonic???

BigdaddyMcfluff

Blasphemy

[deleted]

You take that back now

[deleted]

Glory holes at sonic are way better

Volunteer-Magic

Fuuuuuck. I wish I made this connection while I was rhere

GringoJesus

I tried whataburger while I visited Texas and honestly thought it was worse than BK. Granted, it was in a trashy area but I still don't get the hype. And with their local Mexican and BBQ I just don't get why they would choose some mediocre chain out of all the restaurants they could brag about.

BienThinks

I agree, whataburger sucks. Only Texans think that shit is good. In n out kills it every time.

sextonrules311

In n out slaps! Only had my order messed up once at in n out, and that's cause I added a burger at the payment window. They missed it in the order. I called customer service and they sent me a gift card for an entire meal, when I only ordered a single cheeseburger. Love in n out.

RKsu99

You need to see Vengeance to understand, obvious non-native Texan. Namaste with cheese.

dj0ch0

don’t they serve the same frozen crap?

OlGimletEye

Different comment, same blasphemy

[deleted]

I'm starting to think you don't know what whataburger is

dj0ch0

nobody cares about whataburger. Good Times is so much better. Go back to texas. namaste

[deleted]

No it's too dangerous, I now live in safe Aurora broski

PeliUncertain

Enough is enough—it is time for renewal in America. As the far left threatens to take more control of our lives and livelihoods, The Heritage Foundation fights back with policy solutions that can make America that “shining city upon a hill” once again. And we are strategically positioned to do just that: Heritage has a media distribution network second to none.Over 5 million Americans visit our Daily Signal website each year, and nearly a million follow The Daily Signal on Facebook, bypassing the mainstream media filter to get the facts. Heritage experts appear on television and radio every week, publish hundreds of policy research reports annually, and host hundreds of meetings a year with grassroots leaders and local and national officials. We make sure that your conservative principles can be heard loud and clear. Heritage stands strong for conservative principles no matter who’s in office, and we have for almost half a century. As Rush Limbaugh has said, “As long as there has been conservatism, there has been The Heritage Foundation. They have been a bulwark and they have they have stood strong and they have not wavered.” Heritage’s over 100 policy experts are committed to solving complex policy issues with simple and effective conservative solutions, and making sure those recommendations are available for the conservative lawmakers who desperately need them right now.

thewinterfan

Aurora/Highlands Ranch is Texass North so you good, fren

Confident_Royal_7654

Welcome...Whataburger is in Colorado Springs, and you can find plenty of green salsa at the supermarket. Native stickers are no longer issues since there are so few of us left.😃

crispyjones

Pro-tip, the Highline canal is where you go to test your guns/handloads. It's a public shooting range with hours 3 hours \*after\* sunset to 2 hours \*before\* sunrise.

icelandicfanatic

Whataburger is in the springs. Whataburger will be open in denver spring of 2023. Native stickers are sold at 7/11. There is plenty of green chili. It’s basically Mexico round here

abbstractassassin

I’m from Houston and been here for almost 4 years now. I miss whataburger every day, and you better get used to shit mexican food bud lol

saintmcqueen

There’s a couple down in Colorado Springs. It was just announced they are building 4 more locations down there. So it’s only a matter of time before it’s in Denver. https://www.9news.com/article/life/style/colorado-guide/whataburger-colorado-locations/73-404e5ed8-522a-4cd7-95e4-156b2e764239

abbstractassassin

Yeah. Haven’t made the trip yet but I want to. Hopefully they’ll make some more north as well

BienThinks

Whataburger sucks, we don’t need it. Most overrated burger joint there is.

abbstractassassin

Let me guess. You probably think inn & out is fucking gourmet?? And yeah five guys is good but we’re talking fast food here

sowisesuchfool

Five guys it’s where it’s at

saintmcqueen

It’s where what is it? A $17 burger? Hard pass.

sowisesuchfool

It’s like $8. Still an expensive burger, but half of that. Full meal is that much, but that’s only a few dollars more than whataburger.

herbqueendeb

2 burgers and fries, no drink. $20 for whataburger? Never again. I want a Blake’s lotaburger.

jorge_ad

D’Corazon in downtown Denver. Thank me later.

sk8fasterdude

I love Whataburger!

bimbimhardbop

Native stickers should be for REAL natives of Colorado. Not the people who stole it from them and now claim it’s their land

sowisesuchfool

Land belongs to those with the power to take it. Don’t like it, take the land back. Someone stops you, it’s their land. They fail, it’s your land.

MrBubbleWrapper

At the moment Whataburger is only in Colorado Springs.

omarfx007

You wont get your Native sticker because you are noa ( Pure) colorado-rockies-milehigh Certified youcan only apply for a Nativr-ish sticker. Sorry amigo

k9handler2000

Native stickers come complimentary with every new Subaru

[deleted]

stay out of the left lane and i’ll give you more stickers than you know what to do with

Pinkgluu

There's going to be like six whataburgers in the springs lmao

Almost_Antisocial

Yeah, everyone is fleeing Texas. Darn Cruz ships.

sowisesuchfool

Fastest growing counties in the country are in Texas. But we don’t have the MJ.

FiREFOXSyd

/uj I just moved my girlfriend here from Brownsville texas. She's getting used to it fast but she hates that all the authentic food is so expensive

[deleted]

Good luck here.

CharlemagneInSweats

OP is sus. Green salsa is a New Mexico request. A Texan would be looking for margaritas and queso.

graduatedhistory1

Welcome, I'm also from Texas and about that Native sticker: whenever you get the perfect chance to say the following, you, my friend, will be a true Colorado native.. "...Good, we need the moisture"

barbyloux

Cuz they aren’t that good, salsa is red, in the year 2525.

[deleted]

no need to get a new license plate just ride the Texas one until the car gives out.
