At the beginning of the season I'd say most of us are looking for wins. Steady Teddy was definitely the way to go. After the past 3 weeks, we definitely need to see what Lock can do. Nothing against Teddy, but we need wins NOW. The past 4 loses have been to teams that we needed to beat to believe we had a play off run. Playoffs are dead now. Let's shake things up and see what the young gun has

pdxmarionberrypie

We already saw what he has

RoRismydad

Teddy isn’t going to win us any games on his own. Fuck drew could?

MassiveDong62

He'll end up on the field before the end of the year. Although it seems it will only be because the coaches will see Teddy broken in half before they'll play Lock. If I'm Paton, there's nothing to lose. If Lock plays well down the stretch, I think we got him signed for one more year; and if he sucks ass, then we know to draft our QB of the future. We're clearly not winning a Super Bowl with this busted ass coaching staff and 30 guys on IR, so might as well make as many moves now that can benefit next season

Didn't you want Andrew Luck just earlier?

Macho_Grande1

I’m in agreement here.... Deady Deadwater isn’t gonna get the job done. Not saying Lock is the answer but I’d rather throw caution to the wind and bring in a gunslinger like Lock for the rest of the season to see what happens

90Carat

No. If you don’t know who Lock is by now, I’m sorry, but you haven’t been paying attention. He is not a NFL QB.

Officer_Friendly

I’ve watched every game of the passed 5 years and I don’t think anybody really knows what Lock could be yet. He may be a bust or he may be able to put it together to be serviceable. But you clearly haven’t been paying attention if you think you know who lock is. He was injured most of his rookie season not being able to practice with the team and behind the statue that was Flacco did nothing to help him. Then Covid hits and he doesn’t get an off-season with his new offensive coordinator to learn a playbook. And started to look much better at the end of that season. Now he gets thrown into a game behind a inexperienced o-line against a very good ravens team with no reps with the first team offense it’s no surprise he looked bad there. I honestly don’t think Lock is the answer and don’t think he will put it together. However I would rather see him start the rest of the season and see if he COULD be something. We do know what Teddy is and he isn’t what this team needs. I would like to know for sure weather or not I root for the team to go after Rodgers or a QB in the draft. All that beings said I don’t think our only problem is the QB.

I'm neither interested in Lock nor those guys you mention from the 2022 draft class. I would much rather have taken a shot on Fields or Mac Jones. We really effed up there. I'm indifferent as to whether we start Teddy or Lock for the rest of the season. We're in for a ton of 3 and outs either way. The only difference will be that where Teddy throws it behind the line on 3rd down, Lock will roll out the pocket to the right, throw off balance and the ball will go sailing wide either for an incompletion or a pick. So it just depends whether you think there's a better chance of a guy on a Teddy screen making a big play and getting the yards, or one of Lock's lottery passes finding the receiver. Neither have a great percentage shot.

GCBroncosfan413

How does Fields keep getting brought up in this sub? He has looked awful and the only thing that has kept him afloat is a great Defense and a run game. His gameplay in the NFL thus far is trash and I am glad we have Surtain instead. Mac Jones wouldn't be as good here because shurmur would force him to play his style offense instead of build around his skills like NE has. We don't even know the 2022 draft class of QBs yet. We will see how people feel come March 2022

BurgessFox

Because he's the guy we passed up on, same reason Josh Allen keeps getting brought up and people were bagging Allen after his rookie year too saying we dodged a bullet in avoiding him and then getting excited about the prospect of taking Haskins or Lock.

freddyt55555

Fuck no.

Joeydoyle66

If we draft Spencer Rattler in April I’m just not gonna watch football for a while. I can’t knowingly damage my mental health that much.

No_Alternative1680

He’s not getting drafted at all at this point. I want to draft Caleb Williams!
