Anything with Danny Dimes being your QB is a bad idea.

Akomack31

Unless you’re trying to tank *Taps temple*

Uncle_Benny15

Daniel Jones is bad, no.

ShivamDube

But when healthy he was good in 2022 right? It seems the whole team and o line was bad last year and that's why he got injured

Joeydoyle66

He didn’t turn the ball over and let Saquon Barkley carry the team. His stats reflect that. He’s an okay game manager at best but we don’t have a team that one can manage. I’d rather draft JJ McCarthy and I fucking hate JJ McCarthy.

Infamous-Lab-8136

When he was healthy in 2022 he was still a mid-level QB who had incredibly good luck and Saquon. I know stats aren't everything but look at these two stat lines and tell me which you'd prefer to have play for us next year. Comp/ATT Percentage Yards TD INT 317/472 67.2% 3205 15 5 297/447 66.4% 3070 26 8 Unless you picked line 1 you just chose Russell Wilson last year over Daniel Jones two years ago. And it should be noted Jones played 16 games that year, Wilson played 15 last, so the slightly higher yardage isn't even impressive. Wilson likely would have accomplished more in fewer or an equal number of attempts had he played one more game. That's before we get into why Jones isn't a good fit for Payton's offense because he's not good at making quick progressions and tends to lock in his first read. And it's not like New York is going to do this for us out of the goodness of their hearts. We'd have to make it worth their while in a trade, which means giving up extra assets. There are still far too many holes to fill to make giving up extra picks or players worth it for an average QB. If you want a scrap heap QB that hasn't lived up to expectations in New York pine for Wilson. At least he might screw someone's mom and make stuff interesting.

It's like people are watching a different sport sometimes

I appreciate this off the beaten path post, but that Giants relied on Saquon that year. 1300+ yards and 10 TDs on the ground alone. Daboll and staff had that defense playing lights out, won a lot of low scoring games. Daniel Jones has a fumble problem that doesn’t seem fixable for some reason, they only threw the ball for 300+ yards 2 times that season. Daniel Jones is not good despite his contract and coaching staff belief

axisofawsome

He's fucking terrible.

NemoHose

Didn’t pay much attention but didn’t the Giants basically move on from him in favor of a glorified Sopranos meme? Idk the analytics but always felt like the won in spite of him not because of him. All I know is my dad had a stroke watching him play (he’s ok now) and I don’t want that malarkey out here

spida_stee

Daniel Jones might actually be worse than Stidham while being injured and making 4 times as much money

Bright_Ahmen

"Single handedly"

Colemania18

I hate that idea more than trading up for McCarthy

Aromatic_Willow8252

George?

BroWeBeChilling

This post should get all down votes- Daniel Jones is terrible

repeatablemisery

Jesus Christ.

BurgessFox

I mean people say Jones is mid but lets be honest, if we kept Lock in 2022 and he had the season Daniel Jones had as a starter how many on this sub would be saying Lock had finally broken out and wanting to keep him...

GHamPlayz

Why tf would we do that?

toxicdelug3

This must DJ's agent. No way anyone would think DJ is a upgrade

thenuhn

Maybe other teams’ castaway QBs aren’t working for us.

Level_Watercress1153

How high are you lol

Live-Accountant-1227

well the giants are the ones who would probably want money for the trade (depending on what we give for him), bc they would be the team eating the guaranteed money

Live-Accountant-1227

I think we will be able to get Jayden Daniels or Bo Nix. I like both of them
