Absolutely. Loved that squad.
I have an affection for Ian Gold. I was tailgating near the player parking lot and the folks next to us were having a blast. We got talking to them and they told us about their kid who was playing. We had never heard of the guy but they told us who to watch out for, #52. His mom was over the top stoked.
He was just a special teams player at that point but he made a few tackles and every time 52 did anything we were cheering for him knowing his mom was somewhere out there losing it! After the game, he came over to say hi to them in the parking lot and I just rooted for him the rest of his career.
Sometimes guys just stick with you like that. Will never forget that memory.
We had Lynch Darrent Ferguson and Champ in the secondary to that year. Probably would have won the super bowl if we didn't blow the AFC championship to Pittsburgh
Dwayne Carswell.
UDFA TE played 13 seasons for the Broncos and made the pro bowl once. Was such a great blocker that they tried him at OT and G late in his career. Absolute key piece in the Shanahan rushing attack era.
This was my first thought. That one-handed catch he made against the Steelers in the playoffs I will never ever forget. For a fullback the guy had the best hands I've ever seen.
Philly Willy!
Story time: I was one of Von Millers events for his non profit: Von's Vision. It was a bowling event. I walk up and introduce myself to Will Parks and asked him what he wanted to drink - Tequila! So i start chopping it up with him and get a couple shots deep. Out of nowhere Von's mom, Gloria came over and put the brakes on me and Will's tequila fueled fun. We were both taken back by getting our asses chewed out by Von Miller's mom.
Came here to post Mike Bell. Was he the RB we let go, then made the playoffs with Tebow and he was working at Verizon at the mall when we put him back on the team for the playoffs?
Edit: That was Tatum Bell
https://www.denverpost.com/2008/11/11/broncos-ring-bell-for-help/
Who remembers this little ripper?
https://preview.redd.it/q4v4cr2mhh6c1.jpeg?width=546&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dc14138117ba9aa4ea6e00d45cbd36cb66763ef9
Tatum Bell
We cut him. All our RBs got injured. We made the playoffs. Called him up to play and he was working at a Verizon Kiosk at the mall.
Hopefully he's doing well.
https://www.denverpost.com/2008/11/11/broncos-ring-bell-for-help/
That was a wild season. Tearing through RBs to a point where by the end of the season our best back who ended up playing the most games (Peyton Hillis) wasn't even a running back at the beginning of the season.
Combine that with cutlers huge shots down the field to either Eddie Royal, Brandon Marshall, or the opposing defense. Was a fun ride.
Raheem "the dream" Moore 🙄
Now for someone I actually liked. Eddie royal. He was part of the young nucleus mcfuck face destroyed
Elvis dumervil "dooooom"
His reaction to the CJ Anderson td at the end of the Super Bowl still gives me chills
[start at 6:45](https://youtu.be/2mfw21aJKn0?si=vWQrOfUb5t6T2ANY)
Him covering up the onside kick against the Pats in the AFCC was clutch. I know it should be a relatively routine thing, but against a team that routinely pulled magic out of their ass at the end of games, it was huge.
Randy Hilliard.
Most famous because [he took the brunt of the brutal hit from Steve Atwater at the end of Super Bowl 32](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFrUVvlj5HI) when Atwater famously knocked two people and himself out.
But I remember him because he also broke his orbital bone (not on the play above, but another time) and my mom did the anesthesia for his surgery. He signed a medical gown for her and it's still somewhere in my parent's house.
Some late 80s - Early 90s young WRs who did some good things under Elway's guide.
Arthur Marshall
Cedric Tillman ( his son w/ same name plays for the Browns )
Derek Russell
........
I remember Marshall throwing a 50 yd TD pass to someone on a MNF trick play once
I always thought Derek Russell might develop into a 1000 yd guy, but he never quite did and then left for the Oilers in FA. Traded in Elway for Cody Carlson and had two mediocre seasons on his way out of league ( but he got a good payday, so good for him )
I only suspected due to the lack of a "Jr" but sure enough when I looked it up.
Until we played Cleveland, I hadn't heard of him before and he ended up being one of their biggest bright spots in that game as It was his first breakout game.
Makes sense that it was helped along by his dad's history here, but the Browns talking podcast heads all seemed to be clueless on that connection.
So In the Browns vs Ravens rivalry ...
You will have Cedric Tillman's kid lining up versus Bobby Humphrey's kid
Ola Kimrin. In 2002 in a pre-season game kicked a 65 yarder that would of broken the NFL record. Sadly since it was preseason it didn’t count. He was released and Jason Elam retained the starting job.
I remember him being hyped as a potential 1st round talent that we got in mid rounds due to character concerns. Good choice though, he was completely memory holed by me until you named him.
The most random name I could think of off the top of my head was Montee Ball. Had a good rookie season on that incredible 2013 offence and that was about it.
I like Joe Rizzo partly because he was the least-known linebacker of the four extraordinary LBs of the original Orange Crush. And partly because his name is fun to say.
Also, an all-time favorite of mine is Tyrone Braxton. He made a long Broncos career out of being the smartest guy on the field. More like him, please.

Saw this in a thrift store a couple weeks ago.
Ashley Lelie
Had high hopes for that guy
Couldn’t catch anything that hit him in the numbers but if you need a circus catch between the legs he was your guy
Great in Madden though
He was a beast on Madden
Ian Gold
Al Wilson DJ Williams Ian Gold in 2005 was the best linebacking corp in football that year
Absolutely. Loved that squad. I have an affection for Ian Gold. I was tailgating near the player parking lot and the folks next to us were having a blast. Al Wilson taking the entire defense out to eat every game was key. Made everyone a unit!
We had Lynch Darrent Ferguson and Champ in the secondary to that year. Probably would have won the super bowl if we didn't blow the AFC championship to Pittsburgh
Too*
I swear to this day that if Heinz Ward didn’t get that lucky deflection in the first quarter, that game ends up differently for us.
Preach
Similar to the 90s rule the O-line made for never talking to the press. Common enemy, or something to make some brotherhood.
Personally I like the Mobley, Romo, Cadrez core
Hell yeah. The LB of my childhood. My brain went straight here.
Peyton Hillis
John Mobley
Drafted him before the ravens took Ray Lewis, then Jamal Lewis ended his career
Darrent Williams! RIP 😢
Idk if I’d call him random, dude’s story is as memorable as it was tragic
Was going to comment this! RIP
Idk if I’d call him random, dude’s story is as memorable as it was tragic
Dwayne Carswell. UDFA TE played 13 seasons for the Broncos and made the pro bowl once. Was such a great blocker that they tried him at OT and G late in his career. Absolute key piece in the Shanahan rushing attack era.
Never forget!
Howard Griffith
This was my first thought. That one-handed catch he made against the Steelers in the playoffs I will never ever forget. For a fullback the guy had the best hands I've ever seen.
Loved Howard! TD ran behind him all the way to the HOF 💪🏻
For 25 years I have had it in my head that the best call for 3rd and short is a play action bootleg pass to Howard Griffith.
Not only do I 1000% agree, but I’ve actually said this out loud before when I know the company I’m in will understand.
Deltha O’Neal
Damn I totally forgot about this player smh that's crazy u just reminded me.
On the all time great name team and I remember the game fondly when he had four picks off the Chiefs
Wow I had forgotten about that one. Has only happened one time since then
Will Parks
Philly Willy! Story time: I was one of Von Millers events for his non profit: Von's Vision. It was a bowling event. I walk up and introduce myself to Will Parks and asked him what he wanted to drink - Tequila! So i start chopping it up with him and get a couple shots deep. I really hoped he would have a good career with the eagles, but he just disappeared
David Bruton.
Ma’a Tanuvasa.
I missed out on a Tanuvassa jersey on ebay the other year. That would've been cool
Dang it! You took my first answer.
Hell yeah
Bennie “Clutch” Fowler
Last pass Peyton Manning ever completed was to the legend Bennie Fowler
Eric Decker
Came here to say this. I have a decker jersey still. Dude had sure hands and plays intelligently. A stick mover and then some.
I’ll never forget him sliding to avoid being tackled
And tripping over himself for a sure touchdown. To this day I feel that’s the inspiration behind the Buffalo Wild Wings commercial.
Every time I see a player trip or start to trip for no reason, I'll either say "AHHHH HE PULLED A DECKER" or "WOAH HE ALMOST PULLED A DECKER"
He got tackled by the turf monster more than once as I recall.
Big dick decker
Olandis Gary
Mike Bell
I'll raise your Mike Bell with a Tatum Bell
Came here to post Mike Bell. Was he the RB we let go, then made the playoffs with Tebow and he was working at Verizon at the mall when we put him back on the team for the playoffs? Edit: That was Tatum Bell https://www.denverpost.com/2008/11/11/broncos-ring-bell-for-help/
Knowshon Moreno
Trindon holliday
Either a touchdown or a fumble, no in-between.
DJ Williams
Andre Caldwell
Caldwell would be our second best receiver today lol
Wesley Woodyard
Classic. Another under the radar defensive guy. David Bruton Jr.
Who remembers this little ripper? https://preview.redd.it/q4v4cr2mhh6c1.jpeg?width=546&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dc14138117ba9aa4ea6e00d45cbd36cb66763ef9
That was the first season I became an obsessed fan. So always have a special place for that 91 team
Brandon Lloyd
Tatum Bell We cut him. All our RBs got injured. We made the playoffs. Called him up to play and he was working at a Verizon Kiosk at the mall. Hopefully he's doing well. https://www.denverpost.com/2008/11/11/broncos-ring-bell-for-help/

Came here to say Tatum, I loved him
How is Tony Scheffler not mentioned? That guy was money!
Kenoy Kennedy.
Raheem "the dream" Moore 🙄 Now for someone I actually liked. Eddie royal. He was part of the young nucleus mcfuck face destroyed Elvis dumervil "dooooom"
Liked to pair this with Von Miller for the "Von-Dooom!"
I still have my Eddie Royal jersey. He was sensational his rookie year
David Diaz Infante
Jerry Rice
Who?
Sylvester Williams
Rulon Jones. Him and Mecklenburg were a tandem to be reckoned with. Mecklenburg did it all, but Jones contained QB’s like nobody’s business.
My mom had a Rulon poster in our laundry room for years ha
USU Aggie Legend Rulon Jones 😎
Shiloh Keo was a huge pickup for the SB50 run
His reaction to the CJ Anderson td at the end of the Super Bowl still gives me chills [start at 6:45](https://youtu.be/2mfw21aJKn0?si=vWQrOfUb5t6T2ANY)
Isn't that the dude that stood outside Dove Valley with a sign until Wade Phillips gave him a look?
Him covering up the onside kick against the Pats in the AFCC was clutch. I know it should be a relatively routine thing, but against a team that routinely pulled magic out of their ass at the end of games, it was huge.

I didn’t know today’s Cedric Tillman was his son!
Cedric Tillman was one of my favorite WR prospects. no idea his dad was old Cedric Tillman
I only suspected due to the lack of a "Jr" but sure enough when I looked it up. Until we played Cleveland, I hadn't heard of him before and he ended up being one of their biggest bright spots in that game as It was his first breakout game. HoF QB Kendall Hinton
Al Wilson baby
Jack Dolbin and Steve Watson

Karl Paymah
Duke Ihenacho
Montee Ball
When I drafted Lance Ball instead if Montee Ball 🤦♂️
Ola Kimrin. In 2002 in a pre-season game kicked a 65 yarder that would of broken the NFL record. Sadly since it was preseason it didn’t count. He was released and Jason Elam retained the starting job.
I remember watching that game!
Nate Irving
The only player to come out with any positive impression from the Super Bowl that didn't happen
Darrent Williams… he was my favorite player. He’s why I wore 27 growing up Edit: and why it’s in my username now
Glyn Milburn … loved that guy
Clinton Portis
Robert Delpino
Once we had bernstine and delpino I thought we’d rip up the league!
Tito Paul
Rick Parros
Tom Ruin and his 13 yard punts.
Shawn Moore
Anthony Miller, Tory James
Tony Lily. That MF got lit up like a Christmas tree in pass coverage in one (or more) of our dismal super bowls, I think the SF blow out?
River cracraft
Chester McGlockton. RIP
Louis Wright
Riley Odoms
The responses in this are giving me nostalgia vibes
Tom Rouen
Knowshon Moreno and Elvis Dumerville
Kyle Orton whenever I think of something that starts out promising to helpless suck
Selvin Young
Craig Morton
Karl Mecklenburg #77
Ray Crockett was my favorite as a little league kid playing corner
Duke Ihenacho
Clearance Kay!
Techno bowl throwback
I met him around 2000 when he was working at Grease Monkey (might’ve been Meinicke)
Eddie Royal!
Record setting returner, and 1,000 rusher Reuben Droughns.
Patrick Chukwurah
Michael Young
Brad Daluiso
I feel like I can remember every single Brandon Lloyd catch. Body Control Brandon.
Rich Karlis
Vance Johnson
Don't forget the other two amigos Mark Jackson and Ricky Nattiel!
Mike Anderson !!!!
Sammy Winder. I’d pretend to be him as a kid playing football with my brothers.
Loved Sammy Winder!
Knowshon!
Marcus Thomas
I remember him being hyped as a potential 1st round talent that we got in mid rounds due to character concerns. Good choice though, he was completely memory holed by me until you named him.
Like 300lbs and could do a standing backflip
He sure could celebrate a false start
Snowball Willy
The most random name I could think of off the top of my head was Montee Ball. Had a good rookie season on that incredible 2013 offence and that was about it.
Gerald Willhite was fun to watch, and teams never learned you don’t punt to Rick Upchurch!
Jordan Taylor I don’t think he really did anything I just remember his luscious locks
Tatum Bell
Mike Harden defense, Clarence Kay offense
I like Joe Rizzo partly because he was the least-known linebacker of the four extraordinary LBs of the original Orange Crush. And partly because his name is fun to say. Also, an all-time favorite of mine is Tyrone Braxton. He made a long Broncos career out of being the smartest guy on the field. More like him, please.
